I read this book in 5 days and enjoyed the cultural representation so much. love that this story wasn't superficial and there were a lot deep themes explored like grief, forgiveness, family relationships and evangelising to our friends and families who do not believe in God. There was one scene where a character surrenders their life to Jesus and I love how the author literally explained the gospel there which is a powerful tool especially for those who are not Christians who pick up this book.

This book was beautifully written! My only “complaint” is that I wish it was a little longer (and I mean that in the best way possible!) I want to see more of Vivi’s coming to Christ and reconnecting and building new relationships with her family. Seeing the romantic progression and how that affected the two MCs different added a lot to the story. My favorite part was when Vivi came to Christ, which made me shed some tears. I loved seeing the change in her and also, the change Christ brought to her family, especially her father since they did not have a good relationship. I definitely, definitely recommend!!

Thank you to the author for entrusting her story to me! It was an honor to read this story. I am giving this rating solely on the story alone as the ARC I received was before editing was done, so I actually haven’t read the finished book.

I was very excited to read this book by debut author, Enewerome! I love reading about different cultures in books, what a fun way to learn and “travel” from home! I really enjoyed the story and it was so fun to learn more about Nigerian culture through this book and the characters’ lives! The food sounds amazing and would love to try some someday! There were some cultural things that affected my reading, but didn’t find them to be too distracting to the story. Those include praying in tongues was mentioned, and the parts with the different language could be slightly difficult to decipher, so sometimes I had to guess base on context.

I really enjoyed the spiritual truths in this story! It definitely encouraged my soul reading some redemption stories in the book. My only wish was for more of a happy ending, but it’s only cause I loved the characters, so much! If you enjoy forbidden romance, office romance, Christian fiction, and redemption stories, then this book is definitely for you!

I hope to read the bonus chapter soon, cause I want to know more about Levi and Vivviene’s story!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! Words might not be sufficient to convey how much this story wove its way into my heart. RTBLBY was a chef's kiss. Or should I say reader's kiss?

Firstly, I must commend the character development for the main characters. Their names alone were so unique that I wondered at first if the story was set in a foreign place. I mean, Vivienne and Levi... *Swoons in God when? Talk about classic enemies to lovers and workplace drama romance.

I loved the fact that the characters had flaws and dark pasts they were grappling with. But their paths crossing forced them to confront their demons.

Although I noticed the story actually had lots of places where showing rather than telling would have improved the reading experience, nonetheless, I could waiver it aside because the progression and pacing of the telling was acceptable.

Oh, I loved how the story ended on the happy note of redemption for that one character we were all rooting for. (Please, dearest author, how long do we have to wait to get the bonus chapter?)
Most of all, I loved all the faith-based themes that made this story resonate deeply with me.

I received an ARC of this novel and all I've said here are my honest opinions.

Thank you to the author for trusting me to review this book. My opinions are my own.

I had really high hopes for this Christian romance. The storyline follows Levi and Vivienne. Levi works for a wedding event company and Vivienne is a hired maid of honor who eventually begins working at the wedding company.

This was an enemies to lovers relationship then back to enemies. For m, it as missing a lot of romance and would be considered more women’s fiction.

I also enjoyed learning more about the Nigerian culture but I was a little confused when the dialect switched back and forth.

Overall this was a beautiful story on finding Christ even when things seem bleak and no one believes in you!

Once in a while, you read a book that feels refreshingly simple and heartfelt—no over-the-top drama, no unnecessary complications—just an honest, faith-rooted love story. Ready to Be Loved By You is exactly that kind of read.

Enewerome mentioned having actors in mind while writing, and I couldn't help but imagine them too. Even when Levi spoke pidgin, I kept hearing Timini’s voice in my head! Now I seriously want to see them cast together in a movie 😅.

The book starts off a bit slow but quickly finds its rhythm—and once it did, I was all in. Levi, our handsome MMC, is a perfectionist at work but battling some personal struggles that threaten both his Christian witness and his chances at love. Watching him actively confront those issues and take responsibility for his growth was so satisfying. I loved that he had people in his life who weren’t afraid to speak hard truths. It was a sweet, subtle reminder of how important accountability is on our journey to becoming better—with God’s help.

Vivienne, our FMC, had some serious daddy wounds that shaped how she saw herself and her worth. Her inner conflict—trying to prove her father wrong while doubting her own abilities—was deeply relatable. There were moments where I saw myself in her struggles, and I appreciated watching her grow in confidence and accept love in the end.

The banter between Vivienne and Levi? So good 😍. I loved their slow-burn attraction, especially after their initial meet-hate tension melted into a sincere friendship. Levi totally redeemed himself, and their connection unfolded in such a lovely, intentional way.

I could go on and on, but I’ll stop here so you can experience the sweetness for yourself. 💕

As a debut, Enewerome really did a fantastic job with this book. I enjoyed reading it and can’t wait to read more from her!

Enewerome wrote a super cute Christ-centered love story between coworkers. Although the story was very nice and I loved the wedding businesses (I'm a wedding decorator myself!), the double POV was a little repetitive and the bible verses could have been put in their entirety and not just the bible references...

Meeting on the wrong foot, Vivienne and Levi have to work together for better or for worse in an luxury Event Planning Company, and he's her supervisor. She wants nothing to do with God, and he is a devout Christian with many flaws, but he's working on it with His help... Will they be able to look past their differences or will they have to part way because they do not share the same beliefs?

Fav quote out of context:
"Holding unto a grudge is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. You can't live this way for the rest of if your life."

Tropes include:
🏵️ Slow burn
🌹 Faith arcs
🏵️ Dual POV
🌹 Hatred to lovers
🏵️ Workplace romance
🌹 Nigerian culture, talk, and food
🏵️ Forced proximity

I enjoyed the story. I like the simplicity. I like Levi and how he potrayed God in his life. I love the outing scenes. Gosh! I just love how they enjoyed themselves and had fun in a godly way.
I also like how they met. I like the heated encounter too and how they began to develop
feelings for each other. If you enjoy simple, godly stories with strong Christian romance and no spice nor smut, this one is for you. Well done, Esther.

For all my Christian girlie's, this book is for you!!!! When I tell, I absolutely loved it. For those who don't know, I am a Christian. This book has so much reality of how hard it is to find someone who shares your beliefs and shares a relationship with. Of the things we think we need to do to get those around us to see the beauty of living with Christ in our hearts. Is not easy, but all we gotta do is pray and leave everything in his hands.

This book was super lovely to read, recommended for sure

Thank you to the author for this book! I’m so glad I got an opportunity to read it and this is my honest review.

The book is not just a romance or love story between two people but more of a girl’s gradual journey to God. The book is easy to read and the message is clear.
The book passes a message of forgiveness, trust, family and faith.

Vivienne’s story is something I can relate to and I love that Levi and the family let her find her way back to God.

This is a clean Christian romance with slow burn and I recommend to everyone !

I enjoyed this book a ton. I am giving this a 4.5 star rating. It would have been a five-star read if not for two things. One: dialect and language threw me off when reading. It pulled me out of the story and I found myself having to force myself to stay focused. Two: the whole daddy drama, main family and meetup felt like an easy out. I felt the pain of Vivienne but I also felt like more could have been done and explained.

Vivienne was a hard-core "no God relationship" type of woman. She had her reasons, but seeing her grow towards the end felt great but also rushed.

Levi is my ABSOLUTE favorite! His faith, his heart, his love for God...it was all just so inspiring and amazing.

The romance was interesting and showed how two people shouldn't be unequally yoked no matter how much you may like that person or feel the vibe with them.

The faith aspects were everything. I ate up those moments of explanation from Vivienne's mother, Levi and Levi's aunt.

Overall, I enjoyed this novel and can't wait to read more from this author.

I received an advance copy and this is my honest review. The story was good although I don't agree with the forbidden love descriptor. It is a very clean very Christ centered book so if that is your vibe, you'll enjoy it.
I read it in the space of about 4 hours at one sitting so it reads pretty fast.

Now to the characters.

I did not like the FMC, Viv, for much of the book. She just seemed to be childish especially when it came to her being angry with God for her mum's decision in regards to her dad. I mean put aside Christianity, their situation was just wrong and grown woman should no that. It is not about what makes you happy but the fact that it is hurting others. Another instance was when she chose not to call Amara to tell her that she was running late with the excuse that she didn't want to 'worry her'. How is leaving a bride to stress about whether her maid of honor was on her way or not a few minutes to the ceremony not worrying her? She also didn't seem to appreciate her sister and her mum because she called herself unloved. So their love is meaningless? Her redeeming factor was apologising to Levi for how harshly she treated him. That was good. I'm also a little bit over the whole parent trauma in media. I would love to enjoy a book where one of the characters didn't have a horrid relationship with a parent. I know that is the reality for many but I like to escape sometimes and such storylines make me roll my eyes sometimes unfortunately. Nothing to do with the author though. This is my own personal preference at this point in my reading journey. I've been inundated with such tropes and I am a bit over it. It is sadly this that took one star from my rating.

Levi was a sweetheart. He wasn't made to be too holier than thou even though he was a christian. You could see him still strive to do the right thing even though it wasn't always easy.

One of the things I liked was how willing characters were to talk to people in their lives about their issues and actually listen to advice.

There were a few inconsistencies in the book, for instance Amara was said to have a pixie cut but then later on her hair was described as flowy. Doesn't match. Also the way author wrote dual pov meant quite a few repititions of things we already read. There was no need to reprint the conversation the characters just had just because we're now reading the other's pov. Maybe these will be fixed in the final editing.

All in all a good book worth reading.

3.75 Stars

Ready to be Loved by You was a wholesome Christian romance set in Nigeria! I am very thankful to have been given the chance to read this book as it is quite different from both my life and the books I typically read. The food and culture are so interesting, and I really felt immersed in it .

I really enjoyed the depth of the characters, and appreciated their struggles and paths to healing and recovery. I also felt that the playlist being part of the book was a cute touch and something I have never seen before.

As I am not religious, I think I would have liked it if the referenced Bible verses had been written out so I had an idea of what they were talking about. It is also so far from my day to day life that I did have a hard time relating to the characters and relationships, but this is not a writing issue on the authors part!

If you are into religion, religious romance and clean romance I would certainly recommend you read this book!

Content warnings as written in front of the book:
Death (loss of a loved one), memorial service, accident, grief and
therapy, attempted suicide, mention of miscarriage and stillbirth,
sickness-acute liver failure.

Rating: 4.5/5 🌟

This book is truly beautiful.
Every time I read it, I had my Bible beside me because it felt like the perfect companion.

Levi’s character inspired me deeply.
He isn’t perfect, but he is willing to do God’s will, to grow, and to uplift those around him.
His kindness, respectfulness, and unwavering faith made him a standout character.

Vivienne’s journey was just as compelling.
She carried the weight of a difficult childhood, which shaped her struggles with faith.
For a long time, she stayed distant from God, until she met Levi. Their love story was touching yet complicated, as their differing beliefs in both faith and marriage stood in their way.

At first, I found the beginning overly descriptive, but as the story unfolded, I realized it was carefully setting the stage for their fateful meeting.
More than just a romance, this book beautifully captures Vivienne’s path to rediscovering God and reminds us that miracles still happen.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys faith-centered love stories filled with hope, growth, and the power of belief!

This was such a good palette cleanser of a book. I actually originally started this book back in February, but stopped at 12% because I wasn’t feeling it.
What a big mistake that was, because starting it again the second time around I loved it!

Levi and Vivienne are such well-thought and characters, and this was my first time reading enemies-lovers trope - safe to say it won’t be my last 😂

I really appreciated the faith elements of this book because it was so real seeing Vivienne struggle with seeing God as a ‘good’ God! I also loved the faith Levi had and how unwilling he was to compromise/go against the Word of God.

However, I gave this book a 3.75 because I found the language a bit cringy and underwhelming at times. I also felt the author described a bit too much, sometimes it read like ‘this happened, then that happened,’ instead of it to organically flow.

I would definitely still recommend this book and I can’t wait to read the author’s next book 😍

Born out of an extra-marital affair, Vivienne has been disillusioned by love and the God her mother holds on to tightly. When her world collides with Levi’s, she is challenged to finally face the shadows within her and hold them to the light.

Ready to be loved by you is such a beautiful book title, even more so after finishing the book. This is a contemporary Christian love story that was beautifully crafted to show even more the love our Father has for us. It’s filled with strong faith themes that I immensely appreciate.

This is Enewerome’s debut novel and I look forward to reading more of her work to see how her writing evolves.

This book was a bit slow in the start but the story picked up very quickly once we had a proper introduction between our two leads. I was gushing (quite a lot) towards the end of the book. I thought you said you had no game, Levi!

3.75 stars rounded up to 4 stars.

I love that this is a slow burn that kind of starts with a woman trying to find herself when she finds love at the wrong time as she's still getting her life and relationships together. It is beautiful how he helps to push her toward God but leaves her space to find him on her own time. Showcasing how having God give you joy and peace and how he can completely change and heal people. God's love is showcased all throughout the book in the people who are of faith and how we as Christians should love on people despite not sharing our faith or views and how that can pull them closer to God by us being examples. The beauty of the love story of them falling then separating to come back equally yoked just heightens the theme that you need God in your marriage to make it last. Highly recommend.

If you're a lover of Christian Romance novels, this book is for you!

Somehow, I could relate with how Vivienne felt... Seeing as in my younger years, I had once kept malice with God for 3 whole years 🥺. But I loved the fact that just like me, Vivi was able to find her way back to Christ, heal, reconnect with her faith and start building new relationships.

Levi on the other hand represented a more recent version of me, building and growing in faith, learning to navigate everyday life with the leading of the Holy Spirit... And it has been an absolutely amazing journey so far.

This book was beautifully written by Enewerome, and I felt encouraged reading it, that Christians will definitely experience faith-rooted love stories 😁. I'm sooo looking forward to more of her Literary works...Next please!!!

Ready to Be Loved by You is a heartfelt and wholesome Christian romance that explores love, faith, and second chances.

Vivienne Adetokunbo, a fiercely independent professional bridesmaid, has sworn off love and faith after a painful past.

Levi Edegware, a devout Christian and hopeful romantic, is determined to show her a different path.

Their first encounter,a wedding mishap, sets the tone for a story that’s far from a typical “meet-cute.”

As they grow closer through work, Levi’s kindness begins to soften Vivienne’s walls, but both must confront their fears, past mistakes, and beliefs to embrace the possibility of love.

The story beautifully illustrates the power of vulnerability and faith.

Levi’s mission to show Vivienne the true nature of God’s love adds a deeply moving layer to the narrative.

A beautiful story. Enewerome weaves a story of hope, reconciliation, forgiveness and second chances. Vivienne and Levi are two people with different outlook to life. Their meeting opened a new journey for them. I love how Levi communicated with God and sought to follow him even when it seemed hard, the way he owned up to his flaws and looked for ways to be better is beautiful. Levi showing love to Vivienne even when she was hostile to him was a key point in her turning around to accept God's love and forgiveness. I love how her mother and sister supported her and never gave up on her or the relationship with her father. I enjoyed reading this book. Kudos!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

It's not often you find a book that centers beautifully around the importance of Christ-centered, equally yoked relationships, but this book captures it all gorgeously! Additionally, as someone who has worked at a wedding venue before, I absolutely love the setting. Levi and I would have gotten along quite nicely had we worked together! Vivienne is a spunky little thing, and her character compliments the plot in a realistic, relatable way.

Ready to be Loved by You is a sweet, clean, quick read! I highly recommend reading it, especially if you're on the hunt for something that will push you closer to the Lord! :)

READY TO BE LOVED BY YOU is a beautiful read that teaches about forgiveness, love, resilience and strength. A story that makes you fall in love with the characters and sad when the book ends. I enjoyed this book from the beginning till the end and I loved how the writer did not waste time to show us everything from their POV’s very commendable. My only dissatisfaction is that I wanted to see how Levi and Vivienne’s relationship progressed but I guess it would be in the bonus chapter. I commend the fact that it did not deviate from the fact that it’s a Christian romance book.
This is your sign to read this book if you’ve not.

This was such a wholesome story. Forbidden love, workplace romance, Bible references and verses sprinkled throughout.

This story moved me to tears several times. A reminder that you don't know what someone is walking through, always show the love of God, and to never stop praying.

This story had me not only routing for Levi and Vivienne to settle their differences, but I was wholeheartedly hoping for her to develop a relationship with God.  You'll have to read the story to find out about our MCs as well as see how God works in not just them, but their families lives.

Big cute Christian romance that does a great job of highlighting enemies to friends to lovers relationship. You get to fall in love before the actual fall in love. it was lovely to see the unfolding of a relationship prior to very intense romance. And of course, there were still enough conflict to make you question whether this couple would make it, and that came in the form of religion. The author does an amazing job of showcasing a faith-based romance, without being overbearing or insisting on her faith. This book would be perfect for anyone of any religion or denomination to read. Cannot wait to see what else Enewerome writes

I received this book and this is my honest review:
I don’t know why it took me so long to pick this up but I’m glad I did.
A very cutesy slow burn Christian romance that says a lot about how we should be intentional about our relationship with God. Love the major character development and although some of the chapters were repetitive I understand that it’s because the author wanted the readers to see the situation from both sides and that’s very considerate.
The writing style is very unique and relatable.
It’s also very insightful about our struggles as Christians and the right way to go about it, it answered a lot of questions I had about my faith too!
I absolutely love this book!!❤️

I truly enjoyed reading this book and found many aspects captivating. However, I felt some scenes were a bit drawn out and could have been more concise. I really appreciate the inclusion of trigger warnings and the glossary at the beginning, as they show consideration for readers' needs.

It's heartwarming to see a focus on Christ-centered themes and the gospel. However, I wish Buks' newly found faith had been explored more deeply. Based on the epilogue set two years later, I understand that it took time for the relationship between Levi and Vivi to develop. Still, delving into that journey would have added even more depth to the story.

Overall, it's a quick and clean romance read.

I totally enjoyed every single page of this book, even though it’s slow burn, it’s worth the journey. At some point, I wasn’t sure their love would be fan into flames and the book was about to end. I was literally on the edge of my seat praying it works out😂😂😂😂

I love the fact that the basis of their relationship was a very good friendship.

This is a story of hope, healing, forgiveness , redemption and surrender.

I really wish it was longer though, I really wanted to see our Buks navigate her new life journey.

It’s indeed a slow burn. The story felt real and relatable especially with Levi’s relationship with God. I love that the writer did a good research on the event industry cause at some point I wondered if she was an event planner/coordinator. One thing that stood out to me was how Vivienne’s mom led Vivienne’s father to Christ- it wasn’t just telling him to confess words that he doesn’t understand, she told him about Jesus and the work of salvation. It felt short tho cause I didn’t get to enjoy Levi and Vivienne’s love story. Overall, it’s a good read💛

Loved this story. Set in Lagos, Nigeria 🇳🇬 a girl with a broken past and unforgiveness who is desperately hurting starts working as a social media manager and meets a good, decent Christian guy. Their story starts off hilariously and I loved seeing them go from being each other's nemesis, to falling in love. The ups and downs of their relationship but also their personal lives is so relatable! The characters are real, raw and vulnerable. I was so encouraged by the Scriptures and prayer in this book, it touched me and reminded me again of the importance of our relationship with the Lord.
