The Koa Collection #6

A Broken Promise

Rate this book
For five years, Juliet Lowe and Turner West have danced a delicate line. Disconnected by twenty years of age, they insisted from the very beginning to keep their relationship platonic, despite the undeniable chemistry between them.

When Juliet is offered the job of a lifetime, drummer for her favorite rock band, she and Turner are forced to face their own feelings as five years of closeness bubble to the surface. Could Juliet really leave Alton for good?

Turner doesn't want to be the thing to hold Juliet back, though he fears he has no choice. He's been holding onto a secret for two years that could bring Koa crumbling to the ground. He's always protected those around him, and he's hellbent on saving Juliet from the aftermath of what's coming for him. If only he can convince her to leave Alton before it's too late.

Trigger Warnings for A Broken Promise:

A Broken Promise is the sixth and final installment in the KOA series by Becca Lamb. In this book we finally get Turner and Juliet's story, the one we (or at least I) have been waiting for. Lamb jumps back and forth between the past and present to really shape their longstanding and tumultuous relationship.

Though all of the books in this series can be read as standalones, I would highly recommend reading this book last. Turner and Juliet are both central characters in the larger KOA story that help to ground everyone else's stories. That being said, knowing how each and every relationship around them has begun and flourished really helps to paint just how long it has been for Turner and Juliet. For me, this is the perfect book to leave the town of Alton.

This has been quite the ride. The KOA series is one that I have been reading and reviewing for a while now. Becca Lamb is an extraordinary author who really listens to her readers. In my opinion, she is everything an author should be and I've been so thankful to have been here for the ride. I'll be here for the next ride when it Lamb's new books come around.
