Unchained Vengeance is a powerhouse of thriller performance. Honestly, every time I read another one of his books, Allen finds a way to craft an exceptional moral narrative into a twisted action tale that does not hold back for a single, breathable second. The thrills are non-stop, but his ability to craft wonderfully written sections really solidify his ability as a writer. I am enamored by his effortless ability to write well-crafted action and to bring on a new cast of characters cooler than the first. He pulls me further in each time and I find myself unable to put it down. Allen is one of the few writers actually tackling topics like this. A preacher with a gun? It’s such a compelling concept, but whenever I read this book series, always it delivers. Please purchase. Allen is one his way to be something extraordinary and you most assuredly do not want to miss it.

A historian mysteriously dies in Whisper Falls and a prisoner escapes. A prisoner who was behind bars because of the testimony of Holly. When Lucas Stone gets knowledge of this, he puts aside his preacher duties and becomes sheriff first, a predator, who'll do anything to protect Holly and her daughter. Another very entertaining and violent story in the Lucas Stone series. Can't wait for the next one.

Not going to get a complex plot with these books, crime solving with some action. Does turn a blind eye to how impracticable the story is, character even says he's the most wanted man in America but no worries travelling around. Bit finish.
