For centuries, questions have lingered both within and outside the Is modern Israel connected to the Israel of the Old Testament? Do God’s past promises to Israel still apply now? And what does this mean for all Christians today?
The Israel Decree provides compelling answers to these questions and more by meticulously tracing the historical, legal, and scriptural foundations of Israel's God-promised right to the land. Writing with clarity and commitment to biblical truth, bestselling author and native Israeli Amir Tsarfati helps you understand how today’s Israel is a continuation of the ancient biblical nation, fulfilling a divine promise made millennia ago live with greater expectancy and hope in light of what Bible prophecy says about the rapture and tribulation be encouraged by God’s wonderful character as you see it on display in the ways He cares for Israel—and for you As you grow in your understanding of God’s steadfast promise to both bless Israel and to bless the world through Israel, you will be inspired by His wonder-working power and equipped to carry out your unique role in His plan with hope and confidence.
Amir Tsarfati was born in Israel and has lived there most of his life. Since fulfilling his mandatory service in the Israeli Defense Force, he has continued as a major in the IDF Reserve. Amir has been a tour guide in Israel for the last twenty years, and served as chief tour guide of Sar El Tours and CEO of Sar El Tours and Conferences. In 2001, he became founder and president of Behold Israel – a non-profit organization which provides worldwide real-time access to reliable sources of news and information about Israel from within the powerful context of Bible history and prophecy.
Amir is married to Miriam, and together they have four children. His home overlooks the valley of Megiddo (Armageddon) which is a constant reminder of the call that the Lord has placed on him to teach from the Bible what God’s plans are for the end of times.
This audio book is excellent! He gives the history of Israel and why they are God’s chosen people and the truth about the land and all of God’s promises to His people, Jew and Gentile! Definitely worth my time!
I definitely recommend this one! It taught me so much and I think that the Church can benefit greatly from understanding these things. Israel, the Jewish people, still matter to God! We need to be careful not to become arrogant as Gentile believers, like Paul warns in Romans 11, adopting a replacement theology that is not found in scripture. I withheld one star bc of a couple of debatable statements. But overall, I really appreciated reading this book.
I very much enjoyed this book. Much of it is information that I already knew, but I appreciate the reminders. I believe this is a must read, especially for believers to strengthen and or help them to know the truths there are it. I agree with Amir that there are many believers who don’t understand the importance of knowing about Israel, and God‘s plan for them and us, especially in the days that we live right now. we are in a spiritual battle, and our enemy is using every means possible to blind and deceive the minds and hearts of any and everyone so that they will not receive the truths of God‘s word. Amir is a gift from God to bless us, and I pray that God keeps enabling him to do just what he does. Read the book. Enjoy it just as i did.
I loved reading this book, great facts on The Truth of who Israel is. Easy, quick read. Very important information for the many who don’t understand who the people of Israel are in history and the future. I have read most of Amie’s books and love them all.
A short but powerful listen. Amir Tsarfati unpacks God’s unbreakable covenant with Israel in a way that’s clear, hopeful, and deeply rooted in Scripture. His narration adds authenticity and conviction. Perfect for anyone who wants a biblical lens on current events and a reminder of God’s unchanging faithfulness.
If you're looking for a book that analyzes the original Hebrew of the old testament by someone who is learned in biblical hermeneutics, then look elsewhere. This book is pure eisegesis - which is the act of interpreting a text by introducing one's own assumptions, biases or agendas into the text rather than drawing meaning from the text itself.
Why is this an issue? To quote the scholar Stephen J. Lieberman : "The best exegesis of a text flows from the methods actually used by its writer."
There are actually four ways of interpreting the old testament and they are called the PaRDeS. This author knows nothing of the PaRDeS. He offers the reader his own uninformed interpretation based on English translations.
If you want to read a personal explanation of why people can go and kill other people based upon a religious text taken way out of context then buy this book and marvel at how easily a soul can damn itself.
Jesus has already revealed to Christians the reward of the faithful- and it is a spiritual reward called the Kingdom of God.
This is my first book read from this author. I may quibble slightly with several of his views as they relate to prophecy, but for the most part I am in total agreement with his arguments set forth in this book regarding the Jewish people versus the church of believers and how that fits into God's plan for all of His people. I picked this book since it was his most recent one which came out after the Hamas terrorist massacre of the Israeli people in October 2023. One point that struck me in chapter 5 was when he quoted an old Yiddish proverb: Mann tracht, un Gott lacht which means "Man plans, and God laughs." As he points out from the book of Ezekiel which reads: "Then they shall know that I am the LORD." God is going to accomplish His will and plan no matter what happens in the world or in this case when the vast armies will go against Israel (see Ezekiel 38). Amir's arguments in this book counter those that fall into the camp of the Replacement theory whereby they believe that the church is now the new Israel. He does a quick Bible study and refutes effectively the main arguments that are promoted by this belief. You can check him out yourself at BEHOLDISRAEL.ORG which has as its mission to provide reliable and accurate reporting on developments in Israel and the surrounding region.
A Biblical perspective on why the state of Israel is suppose to exist.
This is written from the point of view of The Jews as the chosen people of God .There is no mention of the plight of the Palestinian people that have occupied this land for thousands of years. No mention of their right to be there even though this area is also holy to their religious beliefs or even that of the Christian/Catholic faith. He makes this out as a holy war .in my opinion as a cradle Catholic the Jews have had 2000+ years to believe in Christ as their savior. I don't think it antisemitic to also think that the Palestinians should also be able to keep their land and also be recognized as state. Israel has taken over their land and is working on trying to move them out . Yes the October raid was a terrible thing but it also terrible how the Israeli treat them. They killed 1200 Israel's and 10 fold of Palestinian s were killed by Israel. This is not an antisemitic comment but I believe Israel is the aggressor. This 100 years war has been caused by both sides but Israel has done things that have been overlooked by the United nations and the U.S. .Things that other countries have condemned for doing. I read three different books on this subject and this one is the most bias.
"How should Christians view Israel" is the question this book aims to answer. I found this book to offer a lot of insightful perspective. Particularly, the formation and expansion of Palestine, and the Jewish vantage point of the prophecy of Ezekiel in chapter 38. Tsarfati is pretty overt about explaining what Replacement Theology is and why it's an incorrect theology.
At certain moments, it felt a little over-emphatic about the the position of the Jews. Occasionally, I found highly charged words like "Salvation came to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous" (100), and other moments like this. These statements felt a bit too far, which caused me caution through the other portions of the book.
Overall, I think this is a pretty helpful read for Christians to get a clear Jewish Christian perspective of the Jews and the nation of Israel (Biblically and presently). I found myself working to stay open minded at times.
"The Israel Decree: Understanding God's Unbreakable Covenant with His people and Their Land" is a historical and scriptural look at God's right to the land of Israel that he bequeathed to the Jewish people. It gives an understanding of the continuation of God's legacy to the ancient biblical nation; the expectations and hope that come as prophecy is fulfilled with the rapture and tribulation; as well as the love, care and concern displayed by God in His protection of the land and its people, a love we can take hope in as the world morally declines. Well-written and enlightening this is a book that should be read by all Christians. I thoroughly enjoyed it and as a Bible believing Christian take heart that God's Covenant with his people and their land will never be broken.
This book was written to counter the historical revisionism touted today surrounding the nation of Israel. It covers in a concise but thorough way the history of the nation of Israel from the Abrahamic covenant to today. It is a refutation of replacement theology as well, something today's church often mistakenly embraces. In this time period when Israel has been fighting steadily for two years, on what eventually became seven fronts, since October 7th, 2023, for its very existence, the information in this short book is essential for every Christian to understand and for every human to be aware of in the face of repeated lies concerning the nation's history. Highly recommended.
Outstanding book! For anyone who doesn’t understand the promises of God to His people (the Jews) and His land (Israel), this book is clear. It’s an easy read, as all of Amir’s books are. To those who are truly saved, this is a good reminder to always pray for the peace of Jerusalem and salvation for the Jewish people. This is also clear to any who might hold to “replacement theology,” that the Church has not and never will replace the Jews, who are still God’s chosen people. Another excellent work, Amir!!
Excellent truth about the Israel of Antiquity and Israel of today!
Outstanding no doubt! The Holy Spirit has lead Bro Amir through out this book explaining in plain language for all to understand that the Israel we see today is the same Israel given by promise to Abraham and his descendants. It’s the very same Israel that was in Joshua’s day, in Isaiah’s day, in Ezekiel’s day, in Jesus day and the disciples day. It is also the very same Israel you’re seeing right now today ! thank you Bro Amir for always showing us the truth of the “Word” of God!
This is an excellent book, as are all the Amir Tsarfati books I've read so far. This is a rebuttal of the "Replacement Theory" gaining momentum among current day Christian churches. It is the theory that God has abandoned Israel for the current day Christian Church, which couldn't possibly be more wrong. This book lists many scriptures about what GOD says about Israel and how God has made promises to Israel which He cannot break because GOD cannot lie. I would recommend it to anyone. We as Christians need to be able to rebut this theory.
After a discussion with a cousin about the Jews’ and the Palestinian’ claim to the same piece of land, I happened upon this concise book written by a Messianic Jew. It is very readable and explanatory. It gives a history history of the Jews and describes the covenant God made with them about the land. Does anyone know of a book like this from the Palestinian point of view? My quest is to understand the issue from both points of view.
I highly recommend this 116 page book if you want to understand the issue of rights to Israel and Gaza.
Many Christians believe in replacement theology… that God is finished with the Jews, that there’s no more purpose for the Jews or for Israel. In this book, Amir Tsarfat uses Biblical references to prove that modern Israel is Biblical Israel and the Jews are still God’s chosen people. This book is written in an easy to understand English which makes it an engaging reading experience on Israel’s Biblical destiny.
I truly appreciated the evidence that the author presents to effectively show that the Jewish people continue to be God's chosen people. It demonstrates that God keeps his promises no matter how much time passes or how much we disappoint him. If God keeps his promise to the Jews, it gives me confidence that he will keep his promise to those that have called on the name of Jesus to be saved.
I have loved his books, but this one is more of a rant against people who think the Christian church has replaced Israel as God’s Chosen People. Plus an order to send money, conveniently including his charity’s info at the end. I thought his analysis of New Testament scriptures was a bit shaky. I will pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the Jewish people—I already was. And I will probably still buy his books. But I probably won’t read this one again.
A must read for any born again Christian to read and understand that we are indeed living on the end of 'the end times '. It would be appropriate for non believers to read it and get an understanding of what lies ahead just after the church is raptured. I highly recommend this very informative book to anyone who wants to understand why Israel is such an important place in God's plan.
A short audio book (not Kindle as the title says) describing the Israel Decree in Genesis 12:1-4. Mr. Tsarfati follows this decree through the Bible and through the history of Israel to show that the Israel Decree is indeed still applicable to Israel. God didn't go back on His promise to Abraham. The church has not replaced Israel in God's plan for this world. Instead the church has come along side Israel to fulfill God's plans.
While Amir Tsarfati gives his readers a good comprehensive defense for understanding that God is in no way done with His chosen people, he does it with down-to-earth illustrations and language. I found that his distinction between acknowledging God’s command to love His chosen people versus approving all that they do (just as we love our children intensely but do not approve of all of their choices) is something we need to keep in mind.
I love Amir's writing style and humor. This is an easy read but busting with truths with regard to where Israel as a nation and a people stand today with God. I'm confident everyone will learn something they didn't know before: I mean I did and I tend to think I already know everything *snicker snicker*
I appreciate Amir's dedication to opening the hearts and minds of the Jewish people to the fact that Yeshua has already come. This book explicitly states Biblical Truth regarding the land of Israel and the role of His Chosen People. I pray daily with Amir for Israel's protection and a change of heart from the Jewish people. Come quickly Lord Jesus!
As a popular level book on Israelology, this book is neither extensive nor is it particularly helpful except in very few cases. The author is blinded by his own bias. I would not recommend this book to dispensationalists or covenantalists since it does not add much to the conversation but polarizes it more, thereby widening an already terrible gap between the camps.
It me a minute but I decided that I DO recommend. It wasn’t too political; stayed on course for the subject matter and stuck to scripture. I took notes for discussion points with others and wouldn’t mind a physical copy to write in the margins and loan out.
No rating because it doesn’t exactly fit into my rating scale but a definite thumbs up.
What a blessing. Although there was nothing new for me.. it has taken me years of study and reading to discover this truth available in this book. Who is Israel!?
I’ve read a few of his books and I liked this one the least. Lots of background knowledge about Israel, which I expected, but I also wanted to hear more about things going on in Israel today and how it’s prophetic of the end times.
Thanks Amir for shedding light on a world dark and full of hate. The church, more than ever, needs to remember the scriptures and promises by God of the blessings for supporting and praying for the people and nation of Israel.
If you have ever questioned Israel’s existence, this book will explain in laymen terms why the state of Israel exists. It will also drive you to pray for Israel & that they will come to know Jesus as their Lord & Savior.
Exceptional information that ties history to present and future times
This give the reader much needed information to sift through what is happening in Israel and gets to the heart of the matter. Media is attempting to divide people, but God's people will be united!
