At first I thought the book might be more of a supernatural/horror genre of book. It is not! If you are someone who gets scared reading those types of books, you are safe with this book.
This is a wonderful story about a young girl who loses her beloved grandma to cancer. Her grandma appears to her after her death and gives the girl words of wisdom that end up helping her cope with her mother, her english teacher, and the different and difficult teenagers in her high school.
The author has a wonderful talent for "getting into the minds" of young adults. I suspect from reading her bio that it is a result of vast experience teaching high school English and Journalism!
If you like YA, take the time to read this.

This is a wonderfully written YA novel. The story is fantastic and all of the characters are true to life. The conflicts in this novel, being accepted, standing up for your beliefs and death are the things we face everyday. This is a great book.
