Mistaking her brother's determination to prepare for his Bar Mitzvah as rejection, Sarah attempts a few passive aggressive gestures which ultimately have little to no impact on her brother.

The men and women are separated for the service in this one. I view it as a teaching moment. Others may not.

Aaron thanks Sarah in the end and means it sincerely, seeing only the kindness in her having baked him cookies, helped make matzah ball soup for him, etc. Sarah feels regret for her earlier actions. She really does love her brother. She finds the ball.

This is a good book to discuss sibling rivalry, how it feels to the younger sibling when the older sibling is perceived by them as ignoring them/rejecting them. This is a good book to use when discussing the commitment older siblings make when preparing for there Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
