Las cuatro estrellas son por los dos primeros relatos. De Linda Howard, mi favorito y que me ha dejado una sonrisa y el de Lisa Winstead Jones que también ha estado muy bien.
Los tres restantes me han parecido meh, siendo el último (de Scarlett Nox) el que menos me ha gustado.
Es una antología de historias románticas navideñas unidas por una premisa con un toque de magia navideña 😁
Para mí era imprescindible hacerme con ella porque Linda Howard es mi escritora favorita de romántica. Leo y compro todo lo que publica.

In general, I don't like to read anthologies, mostly due to the shortness of the stories. That being said, I chose to read this book as a favor to one of its authors. I found myself pleasantly surprised by this delightful anthology.
Stranger Danger by Linda Howard is the first book in 5 Golden Flings and I absolutely loved it! Without giving anything away, let me just say OMG, a truly amazing story! The twist near the end of it had my head snapping backwards saying WHAT??? LOL Great story telling!
Oh, there's something about a Christmas ornament...

A Christmas Crush by Linda Winstead Jones is another nice story that starts out with something about a Christmas ornament...
Ben and Molly were childhood friends until Ben's family moved away. When they are reunited at a wedding for mutual friends, it seems as if fate has handed them a chance to explore an adult relationship/friendship. A sweet story.

A winter storm causes unexpected chaos for two people, Brynn and Colby. Brynn had one thing on her mind to accomplish and that was to return to Thornbury Woods and hopefully discover any clues left in the house by her father.
She gets more than she bargained for when a stranger shows up on her doorstep nearly frozen from the storm. Colby and Brynn team up to find out what they can and are shocked at what they uncover. This story is mysterious and full of secrets.

Great Holiday Read
I read the first four stories while flying to Florida. I bought it because I enjoy books by Linda Howard and Linda Winstead Jones. I must admit I didn’t think I would read all five stories but I did and thoroughly enjoyed each of them.

enjoyable
I enjoyed these short stories, they were highly readable and quite entertaining. Linda Howard, Linda Winstead Jones have always been favorites of mine, the other authors I wasn’t that familiar with, but they were good!

5 Golden Flings are 5 stories that take place when a woman named Ms. Tinsel sells six people a special ornament from her airstream trailer. Each ornament was especially made for that person to have them get their true love with a Christmastime wish. A dragon ornament in Stranger Danger by Linda Howard. Linda Winstead Jones's A Christmas Crush has the two main characters buying half of a broken heart ornament. In Lighting Her Spirits by Andrea Laurence takes a jingle bell ornament to find a woman's Santa and a snow globe present brings two high school sweethearts back into each other's lives as they're planning a fiftieth wedding anniversary in A Snowball's Chance in Sweetheart by Kira Sinclair. And in the last holiday novella there's a mystery and revenge story in The Hidden Holiday by Scarlett Nox. A Christmas tree lantern brings a man in from an ice storm by a woman wanting revenge and answers to why she and her recently deceased father had to flee their home twenty years ago.
These five authors each are in for holiday surprises and twists in their stories. There's so much Christmas-time holiday romance that readers will need to fan themselves. If you're a fan of Linda Howard and Linda Winstead Jones then 5 Golden Flings is a must read, like this author is to both authors. Scarlett Nox and Andrea Laurence have written novellas that are part of their bestselling series that has this reader wanting to read more of the Rosewood and Thornbury Wood series at what else is happening there. Kira Sinclair's title had me wondering about the story. I hope these five authors will team up again for another holiday set of stories. 5 Golden Flings kept this reader fully engaged and rooting for these couple to find their happily ever after. Also, what Ms. Tinsel would show up next and who was going to get an extraordinaire ornament. These are crossed genres to put this book together even though 5 Golden Flings had a smidge of paranormal aspect throughout with Ms. Tinsel these stories were modern romances that ranged from a married couple, two junior high and high school sweethearts being reunited complete strangers falling in love together with each other.
This reader has to do some research so I can find out what is happening in the Thornbury Wood and Rosewood's worlds. Whether they catch the bad guys fall in love with all of Rosewood's citizens. 5 Golden Flings with a new story from Linda Howard which has been absent for a while and absolutely surprised this fan with the ending of her novella. Linda Windstead Jones takes a turn from her paranormal worlds with the story of two people who knew each other as kids and are reunited at a mutual friends' wedding. Who knew that a hippie of a woman with an airstream trailer and red pickup truck would chance the lives of ten people forever and bring five couples together at the holiday season. 5 Golden Flings has love passion, strangers turned to lovers, and married people finding love again along with childhood sweethearts being reunited. The premise is unique, and readers will be delighted and love reading these five novellas in 5 Golden Flings that are set at Christmastime with magical ornament at play. 5 Golden Flings go out and get this book even if its not the holiday season you'll love it and fans of Linda Howard, Linda Windstead Jones, Kira Sinclair, Andrea Laurence, and Scarlett Nox.
