Claim Me Forever

Rate this book
One look spurred my obsession. She’s too innocent. I should walk away... But I won’t.

Libby

My sister got out. I didn’t. My leg made sure of that. I’m no good to anyone—at least that’s what my father always told me. Until I met Ace. Until he saved me from my old life. He’s a hero, not just to me. To everyone. I keep thinking there’s no way he really wants me, that I’m damaged goods. But with each gentle touch, each heated look, he’s starting to convince me that maybe I’m more than I’ve been led to believe.

Ace

I started a new life, content to run a business instead of doing secret ops all over the world. At least I *was* content until I saw a blue-eyed stunner who was gone before I could so much as blink. Ever since, she’s all I’ve thought about. When I find out just who she is, I know I have to have her. My new life won’t start until she’s in it.

I'll burn the world to keep her.

TROPES:
-heroine is saved from a cult
-disability (heroine has a limp)
-dual virgins
-instalove

Libby and her sister, Winter, live in a cult. Winter escapes but promises to come back for her. In the previous book Winter meets Garrett and he gets his brother, Ace (hero) to help rescue her. Which he does!

He doesn’t expect to fall hard and fast for Libby. They’re both into each other and do naughty things but when the sisters reunite he goes on another mission… to end the cult. When he gets back, he makes his forever claim on Libby.

I loved this read! Tbh I haven’t read the previous book but I’m about to, I can’t wait to read about Winter and Garrett! This book had really good pacing and the spice was phenomenal. It was also really sweet. I enjoyed it!

Ehhh, idk, this is expected to be fast-paced—it's a novella after all. But I didn't enjoy this because of the lackluster chemistry between Libby (18) and Ace (30s).

Also, there are quite a few time jumps that seem to lean more towards telling rather than showing. The storytelling made it tough to really connect with their relationship, since key moments seemed to fly by and didn’t get enough attention.

I think it would actually help if we saw them do more things together, as this would maybe add something to their chemistry.

Anyway, it's very much connected to the first book and how the MMCs in each story dealt with the cult where both FMCs grew up. It wasn't particularly bad, but I already knew from the first installment that they brought down the cult. So there's no more excitement in this anymore. 🤷‍♀️

After one excellent DV after another, Lucy Darling has been showering us with what we crave and severely lack in the romance world; A hero who saves himself for his one true love. I am mainly sharing what I love about their relationship in terms of sex and intimacy in this review, and there are a few mentions of what happens in the book, but I kept that to a minimum in my summary.

DUAL VIRGINS!! *booty shake! happy dance!*

Quote,
"I might be barbaric with
her at times with my obsession, but it’s only for her. There never has
been and never will be anyone but her."
end quote.

Quote,
“You saved this for me, didn’t you, Libby? You’re my good girl, aren’t
you?” I work another finger into her. “Need your words.”
“I saved it for you.” She screams as I hook my finger inside while my
tongue circles her clit. She goes over the edge for me again, flooding my mouth with her
orgasm. I drink every drop of her down. I give her clit one last kiss
before I position myself over her. We lock eyes as I line myself up
with her entrance. Libby opens her thighs wider in invitation. I push
in a few inches. Her hands grip my shoulders.
“I saved it for you to love.” I thrust fully into her.'
end quote.
So, I read it as HIM telling HER "I saved it for you to love", but I think SHE is the one that tells HIM that. Actually, I am not sure if she said it to him, or if he said it to her. I read it as him telling her that he saved it for her to love, which made me so happy that right before he thrusts into her he essentially tells her she is his first. It sounds like either could have said it, but a part of me thinks she did. I wish he told her she is his first, that is my only complaint.

Safe
No cheating
No OW at all (yay!!)
2 Unwanted OMs (The first is her father wanting her sexually. Ace found that out but Libby had no idea. It is also why her mother hates her, which is both sad and disturbing. He never tried anything, thank goodness. The second is a random man grabbing her hips from behind while she was dancing with her sister. Libby did not like that and pulled away.)
No gross condom use
No stupid third act break up
Separation of a couple weeks (Winter and Garret want Libby to live with them until she figures life out, not knowing that she wants to stay with Ace. Even though he never made her feel like she was unwanted, she thinks he may not want her to stay, but that is the result of him being very careful not to smother her. She could not be more wrong, as he wants her with him always. He wants a life with her, he wants her glued to him, but fears that she will feel trapped, as she has been her whole life and wanted her to have the freedom to choose for herself to stay with him at his place. Both were hoping one would ask the other to stay but for reasons very understandable, neither did, but their reunion two weeks later was fiery. Ace was on a mission to put an end to the cult in that time and planned on going straight to Libby to tell her that being away from her was torture, and Libby was sad Ace was not in contact, but worried for him as well. It was the sweetest misunderstanding plot in this story, with just a dash of angst.)
HEA

I LOVED IT! I will always preach that when we have a heroine gifting her firsts to her man, then let her claim her man's firsts in return! Lucy Darling has given us that for several books now, including this one, and I am hoping and praying that she will keep giving us heroes who save their body for their heroine. When he is assertive in sex, I enjoy it because I know it is instinct and not experience, coupled with his wanting to please Libby makes him seem like an expert in his touch. The way he thrusts in her, is scorching hot because we know it is his first time, so him making her scream one orgasm after another, is because of him wanting to please her. He never had a woman in his bed, never had a woman in his place, and never had his dick in a woman, which makes me think that he hasn't done anything else with them in the past. It wouldn't fit with his character. Women were simply not an interest to him until Libby! I love that so much!

Quote,
"That I wouldn’t put my dick inside of a
woman I wouldn't be willing to marry. Sure, I could wrap it up, but I
wasn’t taking that chance. Hence why my dick has never been inside
a woman before."
end quote.

Quote,
“You can’t stop it now. All of you belongs to me.” I tilt my hips to hit
deep inside of her, making sure I grind against her clit. “Now come
for me. Milk my cock with that virgin pussy. Make me belong to you.”
That sets her off.'
end quote.
That is what I wanted more of! Him telling her to claim him. That really is my only complaint, is I wish he told her she is his first, but I am still glad that he is.

In this story, we have Libby, she is Winter's sister who has a limp after her father broke her leg, nudging her off a balcony (all this is in the first book a DV which I recommend highly!). The cult they are in never took her to a doctor, so it healed badly hence how she ended up with a limp and pain in her leg. She feels broken and unwanted, but also counts her blessings that she does not garner the attention of men, because a few months ago, she locked eyes with the biggest, most handsome man she has ever seen. Little did she know that this man fell for her hard and looked for her, needing her in his life. His lust is awakened for the first time by the heroine, the only woman who has made his body hungry for sex.

Quote,
"Neither of my heads are acting right.
Not that I can stop that. Libby has this effect on me. It’s her own little
superpower. She is the only one in the world that wields it."
end quote.

Quote,
"What the hell is
wrong with me? I have never had this problem before. I interact with
women all the time in the bar, but never have I had an ounce of
interest in them."
end quote

This man is Ace, the twin brother of Garret (the hero from the first book, I love him too!). He is the opposite of his brother, being outgoing, amicable and a sweet talker, but never to get girls. No, that is not ever on his mind. He is a sweet talker in terms of diplomacy and facilitating him and his brother completing secret missions. In fact, Libby awakened feelings he never felt before, and he fell head first in this life he plans to have with this beautiful woman whom he just rescued. There are moments in the book when Ace is lost in what to do, because it is new to him, which leads to a few misunderstandings. That adds charm to his character and makes him more lovable then he already is! The misunderstandings, is when he hides in the bathroom after losing control of his want of her and is afraid he pushed her too far, so it leaves her feeling confused and hurt rather than relieved since she welcomes and enjoys his dominating alpha ways. That adds just the right amount of drama. He never meant to make her feel unwanted or confused. He just wanted her to feel free, whilst at the same time hugging her tightly to him forever. Of course he remedies these misunderstandings which are not his fault. After all, all this is new to him too!
I don't want to remind myself of the sequences of events, because I am planning on rereading this often after rereading the first book (Garrett and Winter's story in "Say It's Forever"). The sisters are so sweet, their closeness pulls at your heartstrings when you read about them, and the brothers are just so unwavering in their love and devotion to their respective women, you cannot help but smile. It was good to see more of Garret, the quiet recluse with his Winter, the woman who braved the storm to save herself and her sister. It ends in a sweet happily ever after.
Please do yourself a kindness, make yourself a hot cocoa, cozy up in your reading nook and read this book. If you haven't read "Say It's Forever", may I suggest you read that first and then this one for a DV double feature. Lucy Darling gives us one true love goodness with steam, sexy, swoon worthy alpha heroes coupled with sweet, shy, curious but strong heroines in their own right. I promise you will be left with your head basking in the swoon of it all, your heart happy and a smile on your face.
Please Lucy Darling, keep giving us dual virgin stories, with heroes that experience intimacy for the first time with their heroine! I am so thankful for the DV stories you have been writing recently please please PLEASE stick with it. We need heroes who experience intimacy for the first time with their woman and ONLY their woman. We need them, we crave them! Thank you!
Happy reading everyone!

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

This book starts as Ace gets the call from his brother Garrett (Say It’s Forever) to recon the cult his woman, Winter escaped from. Ace former military has all the fun gadgets and tools to go check on the cult. He needs to get eyes on Winter’s sister, Libby. Once he sees a picture of Winter who looks like Libby he knows he’s not just going on a recon mission he’s going for a rescue. Because, Libby is the woman he fell in love at first sight with months ago. He saw her sitting in a car and knew she was his one. But when the car drove off he lost her and didn’t know how to find her.
Libby has been living in intense fear since Winter escaped. She’s normally very fearful of her father, he caused her limp by pushing her off a balcony and the not getting proper medical care for her. But since Winter escaped he’s been on a rampage. Her mother is no help, she takes her fathers side always and Libby is not sure why but she knows her mother hates her.
Ace arrives at the compound, with the detailed map Winter drew for him he knows exactly where to go and where to stage a commotion to rescue his love.
Libby’s dad locks her in her room after telling her that they have found Winter and she will be returning to the cult soon. Her mother is the only one home with her so when the door to her room is opens it’s to find Ace with her mother, he makes her go into the room and tells Libby to dress warm he here to take her to Winter. She can’t believe it’s the man she saw in town. He convinces her that Winter sent him and he locks her mom in the room and is ready to leave when her father returns. Ace lands a few good punches and zip ties him up and knocks him out. They take his truck and create a diversion to escape through the gates.
He takes her back to his place, he owns the local bar and lives above it. Everything is so new to Libby and when Ace touches her she startles and he keeps apologizing for touching her. She tells him it’s not him it’s her, she’s not use to a man touching her. She was very sheltered in the cult, her parents told her her limp made her even more undesirable to everyone.
There is an attraction between the two but Ace does not want to pressure her into anything because of her being so sheltered and controlled by her parents. This causes Libby to think he doesn’t feel the same for her that she feels for him. They have some kissing and dry humping but Ace worries he’s pushing things but Libby tells him he not, she’s asked him to kiss and touch her.
Things are a little tense between them since he’s running a little hot and cold with her. Before they can talk it out Winter and Garrett show up.
Libby is bummed he hasn’t called her since she left his bar, what she doesn’t know is that he is with the team rearing down the cult. When he returns he sees Winter and Libby dancing in the bar an a man is touching Libby trying to dance with her. He sends the guy flying and puts Libby over his shoulder and takes her up to his place. They finally talk and pleasure each other again. They later talk about the cult and what’s happening to the women and children. Also that a few men have escaped, including their father. Ace knows he will come for Libby, he has a weird sick fascination for her.
They all visit the old cult compound, the women and children still live there, the government is helping them to get social security numbers and identification. While there both Ace and Libby form an attachment to a little girl, Fate who has lost her mother. Ace tells her he’s going to build them a house near Garrett and Winter because their daughter, Fate will need a house, not live above a bar. Libby tells him they now have a child but have never done the act for procreation. Ace tells her he was waiting, not wanting her to feel pressured. But Libby likes his bossiness. Their first time together is sweet, dual virgins!
Ace has set a trap for her father and when he “breaks in” Ace is there to end him.
Epilogue many years later they have adopted Fate and Libby is pregnant with their daughter Destiny.

“Claim Me Forever” is the story of Libby and Ace.

Sequel to the previous book, the hero successfully rescues the disabled heroine from the cult and after some romance, they have their happy ending. It was nice.

Big hero and sweet and resilient heroine. I was excited to read about the sister mentioned in the previous novella, and I was happy to go back to this isolated town with two burly brothers and the bad people they are about to destroy in the name of love and forever :-D

I enjoyed the part relating to the community where the sisters used to live which now gets its reckoning. Libby has always been told she has a flaw and she suffers for it, but here comes Ace to show her his love, his protection and his care. She experiences trust, belonging and pleasure for the first time with him. So cute! And steamy, too.

The epilogue sums up the difference between her place and the town where the brothers have settled. Very sweet and heartwarming with a touch of spice. Perfect for this season.

Ace & Libby

So happy to get Ace and Libby’s story. I absolutely love that Libby and Winter end up with brothers - twins at that. Super sweet! Very steamy! They are destined to be together. They can’t stay apart. And I love that we find out what happens to Heaven’s Temple and the people from there. So good!

I enjoyed this story.
I liked that Ace and Libby took their time to actually know each other, and Libby was certain of her feelings.
The epilogue is so sweet.

There's nothing wrong with this story, except maybe the naivete of the fmc (which was understandable because of how she grew up). I appreciated the couple taking things slow while the fmc adjusted to leaving the cult. I just didn't completely connect with the characters.

I liked this story a lot. It was entertaining and enjoyable for the most part. Ace was super sweet but also kind of funny with how he was trying to do the “right” thing. Libby was sweet and a bit clueless which was to be expected considering where she came from. Their communication skills really needed work, but once they figured it out it was all good. I loved their happily ever after and I recommend reading this book.

****Reading beyond here may spoil some of the story for you!!****

It was probably just me, but I struggled to keep up with how much time had passed. Like how long was Libby staying with Winter before they ran into Ace? Or, how long were Libby and Ace visiting the women and children before bonding with and deciding they wanted a future with Fate? Or how long was everyone together before the epilogue? I have read the story several times now and each time I try to see if I’m missing some little clue but I haven’t found anything. That being said, even if I don’t know what the timeline is for certain things, I’m still going to read it again and again probably because I like the characters and the story.

I read the first book and it was also a 3 star ish book.....but I figured this was short and I wanted to see what happened with the seeeeester!

Libby is the sister that was left behind when her sister Winter leaves a cult compound to get help. She has a limp that is still painful after her father didn't get the medical help she needed after she fell off a.....deck or something?

Anyhoo, H saw her in a car when she was in town with her father and he couldn't stop thinking about the woman. and LO and BEHOLD! she is the sister of winter who is now with his brother. only in fiction yall.

he basically falls in love with her (looks) and doesn't want her to leave. She is like a gentle, newborn foal that doesn't know shit about the real world and how to hold a job, much less fill out a employment form. But not to worry!!!! hes rich and capable as an assassin/ govt military dude and she don't need to work

it was fast and not that well developed but it was aite.

Ace and Libby

I think I like book one better. But both brothers are awesome!!! I loved how Ace helped her heal and get used to the new life. Didn’t like that he took too long to claim her. She even felt he didn’t want her. Therefore, a short separation while he overviewed the raid on the campgrounds the girls lived.
It’s a good read. Would recommend.

In book one, we had Winter’s story and how she was able to escape the cult where her and her sister grew up. Now it’s time for her sister’s story. Ace and Libby have seen each other before, in passing. Ace wasn’t able to find her afterwards until he realized she’s the sister of the woman his brother fell hard for and he’s on a mission to help her escape.

An adorable read and great ending for the brothers and the sisters.

Libby lives in a cult that treats women like cattle and housemaids. After her older sister ran away from them Libby waited for her chance to escape too. Ace promised his twin brother to find Libby, what he doesn't know is that she is the blue eyed angel he saw months prior in town and who he searched for. What started as a recon mission quickly turned into a rescue mission. Libby meets Ace and they fall hard and fast for each other, but her past threatens their life and Ace won't stand for that. 😏 Instalove, age gap, grumpy/sunshine, sweet, steamy, romantic and totally safe(heck yes dual virgins- he confirmed it😏) and with an awesome HEA 😍😍😍😍

My rating: 3.8 ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

This was a fun and fast addition in The Fate series where we got to see Libby & Ace find each other again. It was so cute that they literally locked eyes once and had the other on their mind until they met again. Claim Me Forever wasn’t as easy of a jump into love as Say it’s Forever(book one), but it was still a very sweet read. Ace did not disappoint, and he really did his thing with throwing Libby over his shoulder. It was all smooth sailing from there, and I just hope we get to see more of the siblings and the town they live in in any future stories.

well written love story

Ace is sent to rescue Winter’s sister Libby from the cult they were born into. One look and it’s instalove for Ace. A blizzard keeps them trapped at his place where they both get to know each other. Ace’s problem is he wants to let Libby make her own decisions but when you know nothing of the real world how can you make decisions. Steamy hot read loved Ace and Libby well written love story. I loved Ace and Libby. She did not have an easy life and had to stay behind when Winter escaped the compound. I loved that Ace had been obsessed with finding her after getting only a glimpse of her inside a vehicle in town. Then he saved her and brought down the cult with the help of his brother. I think my favourite part was the way Ace dealt with Libby’s father. It was quick and a little brutal and awesome. I highly recommend this book duet to everyone.

The book was cute and sweet, but unfortunately, it was pretty much an exact copy of the previous book in this short series. This FMC was basically a carbon copy of her sister from the previous book and also this books MMC was a carbon copy of his brother in the previous book.
Other personalities were very similar and also the sex scenes and just pretty much the entire book. I wish that the author would’ve changed it up a bit more.

They claim each other

Libby and Ace’s story starts with him seeing her in a car. Time passes and then he’s rescuing her from the cult she was born into.
Innocent of the ways of the world, and other things, Libby slowly comes out of her shell. Ace is trying so hard to give her time. They both break, passion followed by a great epilogue.

Ace would do anything for his brother and when he called needing help he didn't know he would find exactly what he was looking for. The blue- eyed girl he couldn't stop thinking about needed to be saved and he wasn't going to stop until she was safe and his. He just needed Libby to trust him and love him enough to stay.

I loved reading this story. ‘Say It Forever’ should be read first, because of the flow of the series storyline. Their communication and lack of it fit, and added to the intensity of their story. I loved his last mission!! Their epilogue combined and separate were perfect for them.
