A former librarian turned private investigator. A snarky orange cat. A Christmas heist in a charming seaside town full of holiday secrets.
The Oceanview Cove Investigators are back for their most puzzling case yet. When valuable items are stolen from three of their closest friends on Christmas Day, Jim Butterfield and his feline partner Ginger discover each theft comes with its own riddle – and only 100 hours to solve them all.
As holiday celebrations continue, Jim and Ginger realize the stolen items are merely a prelude to something far more sinister. With time running out and the stakes higher than ever, they must uncover the thief's true plan before it's too late.
Can our detective duo solve the mystery before time runs out? And could the thief be someone they've trusted all along?
The perfect cozy mystery for readers who A retired librarian stumbling into sleuthing (sometimes literally)A sarcastic cat who thinks he's Sherlock Holmes (but acts like a teen)Christmas mystery with a generous helping of humorHeart-warming moments and small town charmQuirky characters that will feel like old friends
I am bingeing this series after having binge-read 7 thrillers in a row and while going through several dental procedures and finding myself in need of some quick, cozy, silly, light and fun reads. This series is purrrfect for this. As a retired librarian who loves cats, I can’t go wrong with a series about a retired librarian with a talking cat. This is my favorite so far, although I would advise anyone reading this to read it in order as there are many references to the prior books. Anyway, I plan to read the whole series before returning to binge-reading thrillers, my usual genre of choice.
I love the friendships Jim’s made in his new town and Christmas spent there was a special time for all. Except when they started having their stuff stolen and puzzling riddle notes started appearing. Some crazy person seemed to be orchestrating it all and when the showdown came, Jim and Ginger were victorious and saved the town’s Christmas tree on New Year’s. I’m pretty sure Jim’s ready for some peace and quiet by now!
I've fallen in love with Ginger! He's such a kooky cat. I wish I could talk to cats!! I loved the storyline and the characters were fantastic and fascinating. This is such a fascinating series that it's easy to become addicted to it. Now one of my top rated series!!!!
Yet another good book in this series involving mystery stories. Now it’s time to go to the next book in the series and see what mysteries it’ll contain for Jim and Ginger.
As a cat person who also enjoys puzzles, mysteries, and small town stories, I thoroughly appreciate this series. Looking forward to more adventures with Jim and Ginger
