This one started with a power packed twist. I was instantly feeling for Cathy and the way we witnessed her going through one unfortunate incident after another had me truly hurting for the girl.
Cathy has literally nowhere to go and has no money and after the poor thing suffers a tragic incident, she's also struggling to find a new job and her independence back.
When a wild opportunity comes in the form of a simple job of cleaning for a wealthy client, Cathy is suspicious but the pay not only shocks her but also convinces her to accept it.
Little did Cathy know the tangle of secrets she was stepping into.
The secrets revealed were shocking and I didn't expect the web of secrecy that Ivan had spun.
The Intensity and spiciness had me rooting for Ivan and Cathy.
This one truly pulled me in like crazy in the beginning and honestly I liked Ivan and Cathy together and also the whole plot of revenge was engrossing.
But I found the pacing of the story a bit slow in the later half of the book and it made it difficult to keep going on.
Yet, I'd have to say, I wanted to see Ivan and Cathy get their vengeance and liked how we got it. Also, that ending was beautiful.

This was my first read by Maria and I enjoyed it so much.
This book had not only a suspense element to it but I also enjoyed the storyline so much.
Cathy Taylor was on the move she didn't have any family and fell in love with the wrong man who of course she caught cheating. She does what she feels is best for her and moves, she then gets put in the sights of Ivan Morosov only she doesn't really remember their first enocounter.
Ivan is the head of the Bravata but he is also a man who keeps Cathy safe at all costs he knows what she is up against and won't allow anything bad happen to her.
There are so many moments I personally wanted to slap Ivan just for his grumpiness, but I also enjoyed it so much. This book was really good, and I don't want to give too many details away, but this book was good.

This had a lot of potential but it did not quite reach it. I loved how obsessed H was for h but the story did not flow. The writing was very wordy with a lot of over detailed descriptions even for how they were feeling. There was mini time jumps where the author seemed to forget a statement or details from the previous section. For example H tells an employee to arrange a wedding for in 48 hours but then we jump two weeks later and he is telling her they are getting married. No explanation on to why they did not marry in 48 hours. The whole trying to find the ex seemed a bit silly like he was leaving to go to the apartment he was hiding but we get no scene or detail on it. The next thing we know there is a bomb and a shoulder gets hurt. Also details of her inheritance she knew it was 22 million but acts shocked when the lawyer tells her. Rating 2.5 rounded up.

A good beginning
This is the first book in the series and it is very good. This is my first time reading anything by this author. Her plot and characters are very interesting. The h is a shy, sweet woman whose fiance was verbally abusive. She caught him cheating and decided to leave him. He was only with her because he found out she had an inheritance. The H has been following her because he wants revenge on the fiance. He forces her to marry him, he is cold, ruthless and intense. Along the way she brings out his warm side, he loves her very much. An unexpected pregnancy adds another layer to their relationship. Good ending.

Ivan and Cathy. Shes running from an abusive ex who threw her out of a moving car. She needs a job. Shes cleaning the mansion .. the empty mansion of a billionaire. Only when she gets there its not empty hes there. And he wants her to marry him and give him an heir. Wait what. Rocky start to say the least but there is definate chemistry. Ivan is different with her. Hes caring. Secrets are revealed and people arent who they seem to be. Great story really liked it a lot couldnt put it down.

Captured by the Bratva by Maria Frost is a 3 ⭐️ read.
First book of 2025!!
This book was an ok read, the storyline was good the characters some more annoying than others but it lost a point for the bad editing, now I’m not a perfectionist I can handle a few misspelled words but the characters names would change and that’s what annoyed me the most (sorry to the author) it probably won’t stop me from trying this author again.

Captured by the bratva was Ivan and Cathy’s story. It was an intriguing and engaging read. Loved it.🥰 Ivan Morosov gives innocent Cathy Taylor her best shot at revenge against the one who destroyed her life. But what will Ivan demand in return? This was an intriguing read full of suspense, secrets, twists and turns. The love story between Ivan and Cathy that started to get the revenge on the person responsible for their suffering.

am I the odd one out
Horrible, so many writing errors, the story was painful. Debating reading book 2. I think the plot had a lot of potential, but unfortunately was very poorly executed.

I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and kept my attention. There are a few editorial issues I had, but overall was a good read. I finished in one day ❤️

So in a few hours after she is kidnapped, she has sex with him.
I felt like I had whiplash. I stopped reading at that point.
