2.5 stars. thank you to the author who sent me this book to review.
the story definitely hooked me in from the first line and i like how the ending of the book went back full circle to the prologue.
there is a mystery surrounding the FMC and the “bad thing” she did around the time she found out her dad had been murdered which i was hoping i would find out more about in this book but nothing was mentioned again. maybe in the next book??
as this book is very YA, i did struggle to get immersed in the story, mainly because the writing is just not suited for my age range (late 20s). i probably would have liked this more had i been 16/17 years old.
i do feel like i have a lot of unanswered questions but these will most likely get answered in the next books!

Inkspy is a beautifully written novel which follows Lena Costello as she undergoes life-altering changes to her world and discovers an entire world she didn't know existed. Fuelled by the desire for revenge over the murder of her father, Lena embarks on a journey which will have readers enthralled from the beginning. With characters you'll fall in love with and others you'll hate, and a plot full of clever twists, Inskpy is a pleasure to read and an absolute must for young adult fantasy lovers!

I was absolutely hooked when reading this! I absolutely loved the premise of the book and thought that it was written so well! I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I loved Sarah’s writing style!
