This is a fantastic book filled with nonstop action, suspense, and intrigue! It also has a sweet love story that has a bit of a mystery to it.

I really like all of the main characters! Kaitlyn is a strong woman. She was devasted years ago when she was left at the altar. Her life is pretty uncomplicated until someone shows up from her past. Travis is 😍! His life is shrouded in mystery and danger. I like the community that Travis has with local authorities. They protect him like family.

Faith in God is prevalent throughout the book. I found this encouraging and inspiring! A lot of emphasis was put on trusting God and prayer.

Lethal Connections is an entertaining, emotionally engaging addition to the exciting Targeted for Elimination series. The suspenseful plot, packed with action and danger, pulled me in from the beginning and kept me reading and anticipating the outcome. Well-crafted, diverse characters enhance the impact of the story. I like main characters Kaitlyn and Travis except for their extreme stubbornness which sometimes puts them in more danger. Second chance romantic tension permeates the story and adds another layer of interest. I greatly appreciated the inspiring faith thread woven through the story. I think romantic suspense fans will enjoy this book and the series. NOTE: Even though there are recurring characters, this book can be read easily as a standalone.

Lethal Connections is this final book in the Targeted for Elimination series. But it can be read alone.
I loved the exciting beginning of Travis and Kaitlyn's. It starts out with someone shooting at Kaitlyn and Travis, her "dead" fiancée saving her life.
Why is someone after her? Travis seems to know more than he's telling. And now she has to trust him to keep her safe.
Undercover operations, FBI, WITSEC, a mole in the law enforcement and drug cartel, this is a very exciting story.

I could not read this book fast enough to satisfy my need to know what was going to happen with Kaitlyn and Travis! Beginning with an ill-fated trip to Hawaii and ending in a small town in North Carolina, this book took me from place to place seamlessly as I followed the characters and the danger that was always lurking around them. Travis has secrets that others will kill for and unfortunately, Kaitlyn is caught in the crossfire, so both have to rely on their abilities to protect each other as well as loyal and courageous friends who are always willing to come to their aid. The pace is fast and the threats that keep coming at the two main characters are head-spinning and brilliantly woven into the plot. This book is a cleverly written page-turner that includes a second chance at romance and a compelling mystery that is captivating. I really enjoyed getting to know Kaitlyn and her flirty sense of humor. The banter between Travis and Kaitlyn was well timed within the plot so that the intensity of the danger they constantly faced did not become too overwhelming. The story is complex and relevant, with multiple layers and possibilities of who is threatening the couple. The depth of emotion is realistic and made me cheer for a good outcome for the protagonists. It is well written with relentless tension and skillful misdirection along with a strong message of faith and hope. With an intriguing plot and fascinating characters, this book is a great addition to the “Targeted for Elimination” series, but it can also be read and thoroughly enjoyed as a standalone.

Here is a new book to add to your TBR list for 2025.  “Lethal Connections” by Ms. Jennifer Chastain is an exciting Christian Romantic Suspense.  Our heroine, Kaitlyn, is attending a medical conference in Hawaii when danger suddenly finds her there.  Kaitlyn is running for her life with Travis into the Hawaiian mountains.  With his contacts Travis is able to arrange for Kaitlyn to get home, but the danger didn’t just follow her home, it intensifies.

There are so many twists and turns while you are reading this book that you can’t wait to turn the page.  I also enjoyed the quiet moments when Kaitlyn and Travis interact with God.  Sometimes they need to just stop and listen, and sometimes it is more about increasing their faith in God and accepting that God is there with them in the danger.

This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Chastain and I’m looking forward to checking out the previous books in the series. “Lethal Connections” can be enjoyed without reading the previous books in the series, but I think some of the connections and characters will make more sense when the books are read in order.

Paradise becomes a nightmare for Kaitlyn Daniels when gunfire erupts at a conference she is attending in Hawaii. Her nightmare is about to expand tenfold when she realizes her rescuer is Travis Beckett. Travis left her high and dry on their wedding day. Broken hearted does not even begin to describe her misery. Now her world has been rocked once again. The more she learns about the mystery surrounding Travis, her life gets even more complicated. Emotions run high for everyone as lives and hearts are in danger in this thrilling mystery.

The suspense levels were off the charts as the mystery is slowly unraveled. This was a faith filled story of forgiveness and second chances. Second chances are my favorite, and the two main characters both need a second chance for their own personal lives and their relationship. One of my favorite quotes comes early in the book when a wise man tells Kaitlyn, "Sometimes God gives us a second chance to make things right."

This book #3 in the Targeted For Elimination Series. You do not have to read the others books, but I would highly recommend it for entertainment value alone.

Lethal Connections is an action-filled and adrenaline-spiking romantic suspense. Kaitlyn Daniels is attending a boring medical convention, but it's in Hawaii. Sadly that brings up memories of her former fiance and the honeymoon that they had planned there. Imagine her surprise when her dead fiance shows up just in time to save her life. Travis Beckett didn't feel that he had a choice when he left Kaitlyn and let her presume he was dead. I found both Kaitlyn and Travis likeable and sympathetic characters. The plot is fast-moving with twists that kept me very engaged in the story. Author Jennifer Chastain has an easy-to-read writing style. The dialogue seemed true to the characters. The setting of Hawaii added to the first part of the story--mountains, waterfalls, and the ocean made for a difficult escape. The suspense part of the book is wrapped up in a very satisfactory manner, and there's an HEA for Kaitlyn and Travis. I recommend this book to clean and Christian romantic suspense readers.

Are you a lover of suspense and want to keep guessing till the very end? Then, I have the book for you!
Kaitlyn was left at the altar by the man she gave her heart to. She thinks he is gone forever. Boy, was she wrong. Through a dangerous encounter, she finds out he is alive and he comes with lots of baggage. There is a reason behind all the secrets he carries.
Travis has been on the run and there is a target on his back and now Kaitlyn’s too. Can they discover who is behind all the threats coming their way? What does Travis’ past have to do with this? Will they be able to put the past behind to find out our culprit, before it is too late?
Fast-paced, gripping time of your life with this read! Marvelous job Mrs. Chastain! Once again, you knocked it out the park!

Former Marine Travis Beckett, now surfer boy extraordinaire, vanished 5 years ago, right before he married Kaitlyn Daniels. She believes he stood her up at the alter and then died. While in Hawaii, for training, for her job as a nurse, she runs into Travis and finds out he went into WITSEC and that is why she was told he died. He is being chased by bad guys who want him dead. Now that he's been seen with her, they want her dead too. The bad guys follow them back to North Carolina and want only to end their lives to keep Travis from telling anything he knows. What could he possibly know as a Marine? Was he working for the Mafia on the side? Why didn't he marry Kaitlyn BEFORE joining WITSEC? You have to read this book to get all the answers. IT was a good read to find out.

Lethal Connections by Jennifer Chastain is the third book in the Targeted for Elimination series and a definite must read if you love inspirational romantic suspense that keeps you at the edge of your seat.
When Kaitlyn Daniels flies to Hawaii for a medical convention she gets more than she bargained for with escaping a fire at the hotel, getting shot at and finding out her supposed-deceased fiancé, Travis Beckett is not only alive, but he is why they are in danger. Now they just need to survive these dangerous attacks and hopefully get a second chance at love.
This is the first book that I've read by this author, and I intend on reading more books by her in the future.

Travis Beckett, the mysterious Travis in the two previous books, front and center. Travis was undercover the put in WITSEC. Believing he was compromised he went off grid.

Kaitlyn Daniels, is at a medical conference in Hawaii when her supposedly dead fiancé, Travis, appears and saves her from gunfire. They go on the run together and she wants answers.

Jennifer has written an on the edge of your seat book, not only will they survive, but can all be forgiven and this be a second chance.

What a ride!! from Hawaii to North Carolina Kaitlyn and Travis are running from a drug cartel. The book is full of non-stop action, suspense, faith, intrigue and a rekindling romance between the two.

After being left at the altar five years ago by Travis, Kaitlyn thought he was dead until he shows up in Hawaii to save her life. Of course she wouldn't need saving if it wasn't for him but that's beside the point. Together they fight to stay alive and one step ahead of the drug cartel. Travis' friends from the first two books in the series show up to help him out. It's definitely a high paced, high stakes story.

This is the first book that I have read by Jennifer and I enjoyed it even though I didn’t know the back story.

This is an action packed book from the very beginning with danger around every corner.

Kaitlyn goes to Hawaii for a medical convention and little did she know that she would run into Travis, her former fiancé who left and was presumed dead five years before. Now Travis has to protect her from the people who are after him.

Lethal Connections, Jennifer Chastain’s third book in the Targeted for Elimination series is a page turner. Kaitlyn Daniels is in Hawaii for a work convention. What could be better than being in Paradise?!?!? Within minutes, her life takes a sudden turn from her enjoying her trip to literally running for her life. The guy who rescues her is the fiancé she thought was gone for good. As they are both running for their lives, they must trust God to help them make it. Twists and turns continue as Kaitlyn tries to get back home to NC. Will love prevail or will tragedy occur? I received this book from the publisher and was not required to leave a positive review. This is the third book in this series; I have also read and enjoyed the 2 previous books, but this book stands alone very well. I love romantic suspense, action, witness protection, second chances and Christian fiction, so this book really has it all. There’s a ton of action right from the start and it continues throughout the book; sometimes I’m just like, “Let me catch my breath!” The main characters are smart and likable and I certainly root for their second chance together. This book is skillfully written and I thoroughly recommend it. I was provided an ARC, which I appreciate, but these are my honest opinions.

This story focuses on Kaitlyn and Travis and begins with shots being fired at a medical conference, a reunion with Kaitlyn's supposedly dead fiance (Travis), and a chase through Hawaii. An amazing story of second chances, suspense and mystery. Kaitlyn lost her fiance and five years later she is still not over him. When she goes to Hawaii and bullets start flying, who comes to her rescue, but Travis, her fiance. She is shocked and finds out he was undercover and left to keep her safe. But instead he brought danger to her. As they wait for the next shoe to drop, they question if they could ever have a second chance with a target on their back. If the criminals are caught they might have a chance.

Leave now. They know who you are and where your fiancé is. Only problem - her fiancé died 5 years earlier, or so Kaitlyn was led to believe. Anyway, she is in Hawaii and her non-wedding was in Providence, NC. Must be some kind of hoax or was Travis not really dead?

This story starts with a bang and never lets up. A story of second chances, forgiveness and learning to follow the Lord’s leading, wherever He leads because He will be with you. An early copy was received through the author. These thoughts are my own and were in no way solicited.

Lethal Connections is the entertaining story of Travis and Kaitlyn as they are on the run from some dangerous people all the while trusting in their faith. I found the plot to be thrilling and anticipating as it's filled with suspense of danger and romance. The characters are down to earth regular people who are experiencing unbelievable twists in life. I feel like this is a great Christian romantic suspense novel!

I love this book. I loved the characters Travis and Kaitlyn. I loved how their history was interested within the story. I loved the Hawaiian locale.....it reminds me of Hawaii Five-O and Magnum PI.. It keeps you on your toes in the suspense and also how Travis and Kaitlyn overcomes the past. Although, it is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone as well.

What a great book and addition to the series. Action packed, faith based, romantic, and suspenseful. I loved it. The plot held my attention and kept me turning pages. Who could ask for more? While this is part of a series, you don't have to have read the other books in order to enjoy this one, but I recommend that you do read them since there are carry over characters.
