When you fall for the guy you know you shouldn't, you always risk getting... burned.
2 romances. 2 impossible loves.
Book 1 - Hooked on the Game by C.M. Owens
Everyone has secrets that define them, a past that has shaped them, and a game they play - whether they know it or not.
Despite the fact they live next door to each other, Kade and Raya have never made an effort to speak, until a wild party, four frat boys, and... a bulldozer.
Sterling Shore was supposed to be a new start for eighteen-year-old Raya Capperton. Everything was working out perfectly until her two roommates were expelled for a prank, leaving Raya with the house she couldn't afford on her own. Fate intervenes before she has the chance to find a new home, but she struggles to decide if it's divine luck or the devil's cruel sense of humor.
Twenty-one-year-old Kade Colton has his life planned out, and everything he does is an elaborate game to aid him with his future endeavors. Coming from money has made Kade's life easy, but he wants to build his own name - his own future. The thing he doesn't realize... when you only put forth superficial effort, you only acquire superficial friends.
Raya is torn between being amused or disturbed by Kade and his philosophy, but the drive behind his determination isn't what Raya expected. Little by little, her hatred fades and is replaced by emotions she never would have believed she could have for the rich jerk she desperately doesn't want to care about. Too bad you can't force yourself not to care.
The problem is... Kade's shiny name can't be tarnished, and Raya has a jaded tie she can't cut loose. Nothing about them can work, nothing about them makes sense, but nothing can seem to stop them from trying.

Book 2 - My Despicable Ex (Part 1) By Sierra Rose
She thinks he’s despicable. He wants her back…with a vengeance.
Ashly Roberts and Jake Connors are barely twenty when they decide to take the proverbial plunge and walk down the aisle to exchange vows in front of the dearly beloved. Basking in bridal bliss, Ashly feels she is living the perfect fairytale, until she’s faced with a runaway groom, dumped at the altar by bad-boy fiancé, Jake Connors.
Five years later, Jake steps back into her life…
He realizes that being a no-show for their nuptials was the worst mistake of his life. A little older and more mature, he is ready to fight for Ashly’s love once again. When Ashly sees him, she can’t deny the attraction she feels, but her hormones are overruled by the horror of what he did to her in the past. Nevertheless, Jake’s most potent weapon, those dazzling baby blues, ignites a spark in Ashly, no matter how angry she wants to be. She cannot deny the spark, and she only hopes the inferno it ignites will not consume her heart again.

I could not put this book down! This story was surprisingly good and the characters are so vivid in my mind as I read this book. Sierra Rose did a great job in writing this story because you can feel the ups and downs that Raya and Kade experience throughout the story. I loved this story and look forward to sampling some more of her work. I recommend this book.
I just loved this book, I couldn’t put it down once I stated reading it. If you’re into contemporary romance of any kind like I am, then I recommend you read this book.
To be honest, i had this book in my kindle for a year and change, only managed to read the first story ,after that didn't feel the need to continue. The first was ok.
I dug the first story (4), but the second wasn't my thing(1.5)
I had already read (and reviewed) Hooked on the Game. I really liked that book (4 stars), finding it a good plot with likable characters and good sexy scenes.
My Despicable Ex fell short and then nothing came of it, so I'd give it 1.5 stars). I don't care to read about an angry character that never reveals redeeming qualities, and due to the cliffhanger/brevity, I didn't see the redemption with Ashly. She came across too princessy at the start and with her friends, so I couldn't forgive her deserved anger at Jake. Simply put, it just wasn't for me.
I really enjoyed this book. There was alot of classic elements. Rich bad boy, poor beautiful girl. Lots of misunderstandings in between. Very entertaining !
Book 2 Sierra Rose
I really tried to like this book. REALLY! I just couldn't , so well I DNF. I know now I'm despicable.
