When Dr. Juliette Sharpe accepts a position as Brixton University’s newest history professor, she does so in hopes of a fresh start. But as she attempts to settle into her new role, she quickly comes to realize that the mid-semester vacancy and idyllic campus may not be as innocent as she initially believed. Rumors among the students, vanished professors, a campus cloaked in deceit—Juliette digs deeper and deeper to uncover the secrets that have been so painstakingly hidden away.

As her investigation progresses, she’s faced with the decision of pursuing the truth or sacrificing the future she’s always envisioned. And the truth, she learns, isn’t always freeing.

Sometimes it's deadly.

Juliette Sharpe has finally found a job that suits her decorated background, but instead of starting off the idyllic life she envisioned, she finds she’s living in the shadow of the professor she replaced. Where did he go? Is he okay? The historian inside of Juliette that loved finding out facts and cracking a mystery leads her down a path to find out what happened to her predecessor… but leads to unlocking secrets that she didn’t even know of.

Thriller meets academia with a hint of romance… chefs kiss!!!

Wow, I loved Juliette from the start and Oliver not long after. The book was interesting, fun and well paced. I was always happy to pick it up and disappear into Brixton to see what would happen next. Eventually I was so hooked I had to read through to the end. Wonderfully enjoyable and a great read - for anyone!
