Addicting and amazing!!
I ate it up and loved every minute of it! Often times I forgot I was reading, I was so invested in Ella and Asher. Super fresh and exciting, this is just what the bookish world needs. Can’t wait for the next one, I’ll be eagerly waiting!

First 5⭐️ read for 2025 and it blew me out of the water! Absolutely amazing! Not your typical billionaire romance either! This unique twist of needing good PR and choosing someone from the PR team instead of an heiress was fantastic! I loved following along with Ella and Asher!!
And may I just say that the banter, tension and then the on-page spice was fantastic!!! 👩🍳💋
Per the author, this will be 3 sets of interconnected duologies and I can’t wait!! I want book 2 now!!

This was such a breath of fresh air in the men-with-money genre! Characters are well-developed and so perfectly human. They have depth, and I relished getting to know them as the book went on. There’s a brilliant natural flow to the plot, which itself is intriguing and interesting. I don’t think I could love the FMC more. She feels very real, and I love that she’s feisty when she needs to be. Her connection to the MMC always felt so genuine, and was a joy to see evolve.
I very much look forward to other books by A. V. Archer, and I highly recommend Twisted Truth!

Ends on a cliffhanger!
There is NO mention of this ending on a cliffhanger. I absolutely hate when authors do this, they immediately end up on my never read list. At the end of the book, the authors like I decided the couple needed another book. Tf? If you want loyal readers, and a following, you need transparency.
It's endless chapters of the fmc getting ready and glamored to go to events, a lot of repetitive arguments with the mc's never getting resolved. This book didn't need to be this long at all. There are side stories with the mmc's board of directors trying to sabotage him, another side story with his dead grandfather all of which go nowhere by the end of book one.
This had so much potential because the backbone of the story was there, the writing itself wasn't too bad.

What a great debut book for A.V. Archer. I really enjoyed the characters in this book and the way she built out the side characters for additional books in the series. I find that sometimes side characters are mentioned but leaving you wanting to know more about them. That wasn't the case here. One thing to note with this book is it's part 1 of Asher's story. Part 2 is still to come. And I'll be waiting for it.

Ella works in marketing for Langford Holdings. While working from home for a little bit due to an ugly breakup and needing to get her life back on track, she's informed she's needed in the office in less than an hour. She left a bad relationship with very little clothing so she has to make do with what her friend has in her apartment. Imagine showing up to work in an outfit that doesn't fit you and shoes that never should have been made in adult sizes only to walk into the meeting late and the company's CEO is leading the meeting! As Matthew, the perfect PA, puts it, "You are a Barbie, babe. Why are you wearing Skipper's clothes?"
Turns out the company had to revamp its entire PR team because Asher's playboy ways went too far this time and his image needs to be salvaged. The board for the company believes that him having a steady girlfriend over the next year or so, and maybe even a proposal, is the only way for him to fix his reputation. After numerous meetings, and failed attempts for the team to find a worthy woman, Asher determines Ella is the prime candidate. She already works for him and knows what's going on. What could possibly go wrong?
There are so many facets to this story that will have you captivated. What happened to Asher as a young boy and why? Who did it and who's behind it all? What is Lucy's story (Ella's friend) and how does she tie into all of this? Will Asher ever fall in love with Ella, and willingly admit to it, before it's too late? Like you, I don't know but I can't wait for book 2 to be published so I can find out.

I went into this book thinking I’d get a fake dating and billionaire romance story, nothing too crazy and a simple palette cleanser. I was not expecting to find a freaking murder mystery, a story with a great plot and cliffhanger?! I was so shocked at how much I loved this book!
The characters were great, I loved how strong willed Ella was even though she could have easily bowed under the pressure of dating someone like Asher. And I loved how Asher was this powerful no BS kind of character but we got to see him work through his first real relationship and have to think through his decisions more now that they’re not just affecting him. And I am DYING to know what is in store for Asher and Ella, I can’t wait to read the second book to get some answers to all the mysteries that were set up in the first book!

I love a good contemporary billionaire romance but so many of them have a shallow plot....this book is an excellent exception! The plot was detailed and unique. It also hit some of my favorite tropes without being over done or tacky. Seriously,

This was amazing! I was hooked to the story right from the beginning, it was something you just fell into and didn't want to leave. The characters we well developed and dynamic, and the spice was on point! The jewelry scene will forever live in my head! So excited for the next in this duology.
