Upon re read - I did not like quite as much, but I am going to leave my original review....

---------------------

This book was so sweet and hot at the same time!

I felt so bad for Presley. I cannot imagine how she managed to be such a sweet person when she managed to have assholes in her life from birth. I know this is only a book, but I hope people do not think Texans are like those represented in these books. They are not! This is the second one where everyone in the town (except the family and friends of the characters) are real bigoted jerks. I cannot imagine a town where everyone would discriminate and be cruel to persons because of a limp (previous book) or a cleft lip.

Zane is a stud! A sweet, study, cowboy lawyer. Loves his friends, abused animals, fighting for the underdog and Presley! Has he been sainted yet?

I did not love that he was undecided and insecure for a good part of their time together. But I completely understood and Presley was also insecure until the very end. Her insecurities were not going to go away overnight.

Their story was sweet and hot. I really appreciated that the writing has improved remarkably since the first book. I longed for an epilogue. I guess I will read a few more books in the series to see if we get some glimpses of them in the future.

This book is totally safe.

"I'll See You in My Dreams" is the story of Presley and James.

"Come up here, Little Girl. I’ll lick those titties and suck those sweet nipples for you.” With satisfaction, she saw his cock swell a little bigger, the head bobbing as it pulsated with lust.

Ok. So if you've read this series before, this falls in the unique category of OTT sweet dramedy. The characters are very one dimensional, evil is evil, good is good. The couples are superficial and idealistic. The secondary characters are either very supportive, or just downright vile. The sex scenes are a weird combination of cringe and sexy, and if you have an abuse scenes, its triggering-ly descriptive. And everyone is filled with tragic back stories and self pity. Like Diana Palmer on steroids.

In this book, we had a ex playboy hero who is now blind, and a heroine with a repaired cleft lip- two such normally acceptable conditions but make all the aholes in the book treat the characters like lepers. The couple meet when the heroine comes to do a temp job for the hero, there is attraction, extreme horniness, them giving into it, loads of drama and sneering from people around them, and HEA. There are also three separate parallel storylines running which are both sad and heartbreaking of characters we already know, and they add nothing to the story of our MCs.

I can't say much about this book. Except that I was having a bad day and it made me laugh out loud with gems like this:

When he pushed it over the little speed-bump of her clit, she jerked and pushed toward him.

Hehe.

A lady with a dirty mouth...love it. In this awesome story we get two very damaged people looking for love but never finding it. It was a great read and I would have given it 5 stars but I was left with too many unresolved issues! I don't think the way it ended made no sense at all. Just too many loose end for me. I wanted the whole package. The author would repeat pointless things "like how he feels worthless and how she is gross or people stare at her because she is so deformed" However, not a moment to tell us if they have kids, or if she tell him about her mother, or if she ever gets plastic surgery!? It's not fair. I don't like that at all. Just stinks. However, it was a good story.
3.5 stars.

Please note no sex with other woman some drama when she comes to the hospital after his operation. She is on the pill and a virgin so no real question about her non-existing sex life. Got to wonder why they are always conveniently on the pill however!? Seriously!

I'll See You In My Dreams is the fifth book in the Hell Yeah series, and unlike the others which seemed to follow a set guideline (find a sheltered virgin in her twenties that has issues of some sort and have her somehow meet a wealthy McCoy brother and they instantly connect and hump within hours of meeting one another and all move onto the Tebow ranch), this one was SOOO different. First off, the main H is NOT a McCoy. This story is about Zane, the McCoy family attorney and Presley, his secretary. Thankfully missing was most of the cheesy dialogue from the first three books, but most notably absent was the forewards that Ms. Hunter previously included which indicate that the books while in a series- yada, yada, yada, they could be read as a stand alone--you need to at least read the first book before starting this one.

There are a lot of back stories going on as well, and not necessarily a cliffhanger, per se, but there is a MAJOR unfinished mystery in this book which had me wondering why the author felt it was required. We are also introduced to another sect of the McCoy family that no one knew about. I am not sure when book six will be published--will I read it?? Probably so, but in all honesty, it's not something that I feel I HAVE to do. It was just too ehhh in my opinion.

"But I want you to know that my love for you is unchanging. I loved you before I saw you, and I love you now. I didn't need eyes to see your beauty. No eye sees as clearly as the heart and my heart belongs to you." Sigh, What an amazing line!
I'll see you in my Dreams is a heartfelt look into the power of love. A hero and a heroine, both with physical imperfections, who find love and acceptance with each other.
Each new installment in this series just gets better and draws you further into the Hell Yeah world. While the books can be read as stand alones, reading the series makes your enjoyment increase, as you come to know and love all the characters.
I'll See You in My Dreams also introduces a whole new group of McCoys, cousins. SO I can see more books coming! Hell Yeah! Some issues are left unresolved, but the main plot line does end and I got my HEA! However I want to strangle Sable for leaving me hanging. She better write fast, is all I can say!
I highly recommend I'll See You in My Dreams and the whole Hell Yeah series.

I'll See You in My Dreams is the first book I have read for this author. Even though it was read out of sequence, I had no difficulty with the characters or the plot of the story. Zane and Presley have a unique relationship. He is a blind attorney, and she is his personal assistant with a cleft pallet. It seemed like the perfect job for Presley. Her boss couldn't see what she looked like, and she would be graded on her ability to perform her job. That is until their relationship changed. This was an enjoyable read. It was nice to read a story that wasn't about two perfect people. There was suspense, heartache, passion, and a happy ending to entertain the reader.

In a nutshell:
This book is rated quite highly and seems to have many fans but a lot of things got in the way of my enjoyment. Zane wasn't the best hero I've ever read, but I did like him somewhat and he's the only reason I rate this book 2 stars instead of 1. To each his/her own, but this book and series isn't for me.

Yeahhh... no.

The long-winded version:
Perhaps it's because this is the only book I've read from the series, but I felt it had too many characters and too much focus on subplots: 2 cases of missing persons (1 of which is left unresolved), and various other threads that likely were either continued from previous books in the series or will continue in the following books. While it makes sense for other plot lines to be carried out simultaneously in a universe that has introduced so many characters, there wasn't enough focus on or development of the lead characters of this story--at least not to the point where I felt that their relationship was fleshed out or realistic.

Not only did I get to a point where I was skimming full paragraphs, but I was also increasingly irritated by the characterizations throughout the book. Like our heroine, Presley, who has a deep-rooted complex about her looks: she was so down on herself and so obsessed with appearance that by the end of the book she just got on my nerves. I felt that she showed very little growth--she was actually rather pathetic, and overly reliant on the hero's acceptance of her. She never truly saw her own worth for herself; she merely clung with desperation to the hero, Zane, and his assurances.

Presley never thinks she's good enough for Zane

#boofuckinghoo

The author tried to validate Presley's complex by showing how it was compounded by the many female (and perhaps 1 or 2 male) side characters who openly showed disdain of her and disgust at her appearance. This was so unrealistically over-the-top that it drove me nuts!!! Yes, there are some horrible people out there in the world, but the amount of such characters in this book was so rampant it was ridiculous.

#sorude
Shaking my head at the number of characters who said things along these lines...

In addition, those characters who fixated on Presley's appearance were depicted in such a 2-dimensional manner: cookie-cutter vapid and jealous females, as well as shallow, tactless (or even crazed) males, all who made openly cutting remarks to sometimes telenovela levels of drama and cheese. It became tiring.

#eyeroll

The only nice women in this universe seemed to be the heroines from previous books in the series, who were all described as being handicapped or unusual in some way. So, in the Hell Yeah! world, 90% of the women who were considered "ordinary" or classically "attractive" turned out to be vain, small-minded, or even money-hungry bitches. Yeah, great fun to read.

#unimpressed

This book also led me to the discovery of a new pet peeve: capitalized endearments. The number of times the lead characters called each other "Baby," "Honey," or "Sugar" was only made more irritating and insipid by the way these terms were written. Just,
WHY?
I can't understand why the author found it necessary to capitalize these terms. There were a number of other cringeworthy phrases and declarations during the lovemaking scenes, but the endearments bothered me the most.

I'm sure the ending was supposed to be warm, fuzzy, and satisfying, but what was framed as the big conflict of the book was just more of the same: the heroine feeling inadequate because of her looks. Both the conflict and the resolution were unsatisfying, in my opinion. Crammed in during the last 10% of the book, it also felt rather rushed. Overall, I just wasn't feeling it.

Barely above my 1-star DNF rating as I had purchased this book and so at least made it to the end.

A perfect example of why you shouldn't buy the first 11 books in a series from an author you haven't read based only on the blurbs and not some of the lower reviews (which I often find more honest).

Honestly, what got me in this book apart for the so boring and unrealistic sex scenes (see my review of book 9) was the over-statement of the lead h's disfigurement. She has a surgically corrected hair-lip (cleft-lip) which has left a slight scar and a turn up at the lip. Oh wow, how horrible. For this, she is abused as being too ugly to sit next to on the bus, too ugly to eat in the public areas without putting others off their food.... Now, if you were talking about the meanness of some children in primary school (and even then it is a stretch) sure, maybe. But these incidents occur in modern day adult society, the lunch incident in the office of a prominent law firm.

Also annoying was the lead H's diasability. He has lost his vision 5 years before and in that time he has managed to basically learn to enhance his other senses so much that most people can't even pick up he is blind unless they know. Now, echo-location is a skill and so is sensory enhancement. But generally not to the superhuman extant of the lead H, nor within such a short time. Then, when he does have his cornea implants he is seeing perfectly in days. Having read another story with a blind lead character with cornea implants, I am aware that it can take weeks or even months for the vision to become perfect, if it even does.

There is speeding up events because you have to in order to maintain tension and excitement, and there is just unrealistic (potentially un-researched) stupidity.

Now, if you want to read a good romance story (although not erotica) about people overcoming disabilities I would recommend some of Catherine Coulter's stories (Phantom Waltz and others from that series)

I really enjoyed this book. I have found Sable Hunter’s Hell Yeah series to be both deeply emotional and highly erotic. When reading her books I frequently find myself laughing, tearing up or rubbing my chest as my heart actually aches for her characters. I’ll See You in My Dreams is the story of Zane Saucier and Presley Love, two people who’s physical imperfections have caused them to close themselves off from the world, to protect themselves. I loved watching their attraction grow to love especially watching Presley’s self-confidence grow as Zane loved her. In this book we learn more about Aron McCoy’s disappearance while on his honeymoon and we meet a previously unknown batch of McCoy cousins. This was a great book and if you have enjoyed the earlier Hell Yeah books, you’ll enjoy this one also. If you haven’t read the earlier books you won’t be totally lost reading this one but I’ll bet you you’ll want to go back and read the rest of the stories once you finish. I am so excited to see what happens next in Noah’s story Skye Blue (which can’t come out soon enough for me)!

A Glimpse of what True Love is - I'll See You in My Dreams by Sable Hunter

Every time I read a Sable Hunter Book, I am transported to a place where men cherish their women, where a man will do anything to protect the love of his life. Where the heroine is the strength behind the hero.

In a world that has fallen prey to celluloid-driven perceptions of beauty, of strength, of being a whole person, I'll see you in My Dreams is a much needed wake-up call. A person may not fit the criteria of celluloid perfection, but that person is still a creature of beauty and of strength. The true character of a person should not be determined by the way they look, but by the way they treat other people. Neither should a person's character be based only in what our eyes see, but what our hearts know. Which is what Zane did. He used his heart's eyes to see Presley.

And she was a beautiful sight.

A wonderful love story, I'll see you in My Dreams will make your heart soar for both Zane and Presley who both show what true love is.

You know you have a read a really good book when the main Characters stay with you long after you have finished the book. I read the book a while back and gave it 5 stars but never reviewed it.

Zane the Hero is a blind Attorney. And Presley the Heroine becomes his P.A. She is just so very precious and has always been judge and treated cruel by people because a cleft pallet she had as a child and it was not repaired correctly. Zane has had his own struggles. After becoming blind from an accident, his girlfriend left him.

The love between these two is just damn perfect. I want me some Zane Saucier. I will not say anymore because I tend to spill to much. But this is a wonderful story. Number 5 in the Hell Yeah series

Well done Sable Hunter!

AMAZING ROMANTIC ADVENTURE

Another heart wrenching love story about two people who suffer from some type of disability. Zane lost his eye sight in an accident on his ranch; but was able to recover from his loss and maintain a very successful career as an attorney without eyesight. Presley came from a poor and unloving background. She was used to people being extremely mean it laughing at her facial disability. She had a hair lip and even with some surgery early in life wasn't able to correct the situation. These two meet and Zane immediately becomes attracted to her mind soul and spirit. An emotional story about their adjustment n it only in their growing relationship; but the ongoing struggles for Presley.

I really loved this book. This book grabbed me at the very beginning. Zane and Presley meet under because Zane's personal assistant has quit her job to get married. She suggests Zane call a temp agency and ask for Presley. And Boom love or lust at first sight so to speak. Both Zane and Presley are damaged, one from an accident and one born that way. Parts of this book are an emotional rollercoaster but well worth the read. I am really loving this series and can't wait to read the next. book. I recommend this book and series.

The 8th installment is just as fresh as the first book. The book focuses on Zane Saucier, Attorney. We met his twin brother, Kane the sheriff in book 4. Zane had an accident and has been blind for many years. HE does not view that as a handicap and is the top attorney around. When Zane starts interacting with Presley Love, he is drawn to her. Presley is equally drawn to Zane, but, she knows that she could never have someone that is so handsome and sucessful. Presley believes that she is unattractive because she has the rements of a cleft lip and the other women in the law office doesn't let her forget it.

What Kane feels is Presley's inner beauty and as they get closer Preslety pulls back. Find out if Presley and Zane find the inner beauty of their love.

Zane is a lawyer. He is blind. Presley is his assistant. She has a major crush on Zane. She has has a cleft lip so she is glad he can't see her.
They grow very close and work through many obstacles together. The big one is when his family tries to split them up.

Wonderful

It is said that " beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Not according to Sable Hunter. She writes that beauty is in the heart! And I wholeheartedly agree. It is the running theme try brought this series and especially in this installment.

I'll See You in My Dreams by Sable Hunter
Zane and Presley
THE LIGHT WHEN ALL I HAD WAS DARKNESS!!
4 stars

Well, I'm sorry to say that this was not my favorite book in the series... but it was good none-the-less! I guess I could chalk it up to this book not being about one of the McCoys... I'm spoiled that way... just can't get enough of them!!!! Although Zane is hot, he's not a McCoy soooooo, I'll just say this... He's definitely one fine blind man!!! I do love the twists this story takes with new characters, danger to old characters, and the future of the McCoys!!! Can't wait to read the next installment!!! I must say that the feeling of "bullying" in this story was breaking my heart... I'm one of those people that always came to the rescue of the meek and mild and the ridicule and nasty things said to Presley were making me wanna beat the crap out of someone!!! I just can't get over how such small minded people can make such an impact on someone's life just with words alone!!!

Zane is your typical hunka munka on the outside... but his heart is as big as the state of Texas!!! Although he's only been blind for 5 years, he's honed in on his other senses quite nicely!! He's good with animals and people... always giving back to those less fortunate than him, even though he's been plagued with blindness, it doesn't stop him in anyway!! Now Presley... oh that poor little girl! All her life.. what an upset... so beautiful, so smart, so caring, and so wounded!! I can't believe that crap filled trenches this girl had to go through to get where she is today... but as the saying goes, that which does not kill you makes you stronger!!! She nearly broke my heart just reading and watching this story unfold... I wanted to hug her like a million times!!! Glad to see the McCoy's brought back even though it was in a sad way!!! Can't wait to see where that story leads!!!

I've been reading one book about 1 1/2 days, but since I hosted our late family Christmas this past weekend... I got a little behind!! This one took me 4 days... not to say that it was hard to read, just had to put my focus on other things!! Although this in not my favorite book in the series, it was still good! It was everything I hoped it would be and more, just left me feeling a little wanting... I'm sure glad this book opened up an new doorway into a whole new set of possible books, because I'm gonna need my McCoy fix on a regular basis!!

At about 50% (kindle version) I was feeling a little lost, like the story was gonna end on me and I was worried, but like I said before, this book is the gateway into a whole new set of books/stories to come... Ms. Hunter is definitely NOT done with the Hell Yeah series by far... so hold on to your panties cause there's a ton more hotties to come!!! Although it ended on sort of a cliff hanger, you can rest assured you'll feel complete after reading this book!!!

Another winner from Sable Hunter.... absolutely loved this book. Finished this book on Feb 9th...Review to follow.

Review: (Feb 18/2013)

I cannot believe how Ms Hunter can continue to improve upon this series as each new book in released in this awesome series 'HELL YEAH' but she does. This story of Zane just took my heart and squeezed it with this heart-wrenching story of an extremely talented lawyer that is a very close friend to the McCoy brothers. Zane suffered an excruciating accident a few years before leaving him blind resulting in the then love of his life leaving him as she felt he was no longer a man due to his loss of sight.

Our Heroine of this story is Presley, who is is a warm, loving person always willing to help anyone. She was born with a deformity that she is so self-conscious of that it leaves her without any confidence in herself. Others are outwardly cruel to her. It broke my heart the way she was treated.

Presley has the opportunity to interview with Zane to become his assistant in his law office and as he is unable to see her, feels this might be a perfect place for her. She seems to be perfect for what he is looking for as well as she is highly qualified & he is looking for a replacement for the current assistant that had left to be married. Sparks seem to fly between them immediately.

I absolutely loved this book. It was a breathtaking story full tender feelings, love, lots of steamy action, intrigue, mystery and laugh out loud humour as only Sable Hunter can tell it.

I highly recommend this book and this complete series. You really should read this series in order to know and experience the wonderful characters that come to life in each book.

Sable Hunter has done it again! I loved this book! She has characters so rich and full of life that they draw you in and you want to be involved in their story. You want to follow along in something that is rich in story and detail and yes there is the Spice factor she is so known for. She puts characters together in this book who would seem a rather unlikely pair and yet they are perfect for each other. The world doesn't see it that way. The world only sees the outside, their facade, it doesn't see their hearts, but we do! Great read, couldn't put it down and I had forgotten for a while, what a great writer she is. I love Sables books! If you haven't picked one up, I highly recommend picking up the first and reading through to the fifth at least of the "Hell Yeah" Series!
She has some others that she has done that follow a series of books. You can read them stand alone, but they are so much fun that you'll want to get the first and the second..................you get it! "Hell Yeah" is her Cowboy Series but of course they are much more than just Cowboys! I'm half way done with one from her Cajun series, but I can't talk about that one just yet.. ~ : )

From Good Reads the description of the book:

Zane Saucier is handsome, brilliant, powerful, a practicing cowboy and a successful attorney, but he cannot see. Presley Love is smart, intrepid, and attractive, but she wants not to be seen. Through legal battles, family affairs, and a fight to make it in the world, these two unlikely partners discover a true love greater than any obstacle. No wall is too massive, no problem is too indomitable, and no eye sees as clearly as the heart.
