Betrayed by love, isolated and abused, sold as collateral to a rival MC…
Things were supposed to be different for Violet Avery. Her father was the president of the Devil’s Army Motorcycle Club, and she married the love of her life Rooster—one of the hottest bikers in the club.
When her father dies on a cartel run, Rooster suddenly turns into a ruthless monster, usurping the president’s chair, forcing the club into the drug trade, and condemning Violet to a life of misery and isolation.
As Rooster’s lust for power drives him deeper into madness, he offers Violet to a rival club, the Satan’s Sons MC—as collateral—to be their sexual slave and property until a deal goes through.
The Satan’s Sons live in abandoned insane asylum and are rumored to be sexual sadists, rapists, and ruthless murderers…One-Percenters who operate under no code of honor. Violet has no choice but to accept her fate as the property of the club.
Violet knows deep down that Rooster has no intention of the deal ever going through, he’ll leave her fate up to the Satan’s Sons. Her only hope lies in a sexy biker they call Drifter...
This is a standalone contemporary romance novel – no cliffhanger. Content suitable for adults only, contains violence, and graphic sexual content.

Ran across this book and gave it a go. It was not the dark romance that I had envisioned after reading the blurb, but it was a nice easy read and better than I expected. The heroine is married to a jackass of epic proportions. He gives her to another MC Club as collateral, but it ends up being the best thing that ever happened to her. The story is pretty predictable, but has a few twists at the end that were surprising, mainly which characters were involved in what behind the scenes. It was good and worthwhile if you're looking for a quick book that doesn't leave you hanging.
This book grabbed me from the moment that I read the blurb and still hasn't let go!
I couldn't put this down but I also didn't want it to end. The story flowed really well, never boring. I particularly liked that Violet wasn't kidnapped or abused or raped since that seems to be a popular theme in MC books. Yes, crap happened, but she wasn't abused in a horrible way that turned my stomach and made me want to put the book down and never touch it again.
I definitely felt sorry for Violet. She knew what MC's were like but nothing could have prepared her for the evil that was her husband. Even after she was away from him, he kept her away from her dog Scout and that was unforgivable and pure evil.
But the Satan's Sons were as bad as Violet had been led to believe. I was impressed with them. For the most part, she was treated with the respect due to an old lady, even though she wasn't an old lady of one of their members. Of course, there's always one idiot brother that is going to make a lewd comment and hit on her, but it didn't go beyond that.
Aside from his name being Drifter, I really liked him. Even his name wasn't bad but I was beyond curious as to what his real name was. But He was a great guy. He didn't cheat, he didn't abuse Violet he got to know her and fell for her. And that was refreshing. I know that in books MC's skirt the law and work outside the law 99% of the time, but not every guy in these types of books has to be a bad guy anti-hero. Drifter was a good guy. He came home, unexpectedly met a woman that he couldn't stop thinking about and after spending some time with her, fell for her. I loved every scene he had with Violet.
There was a little situation with Violet's husband and a snitch in the Sons and I have to say, I figured out who the snitch was and was so dismayed because I'd like that person! But because it was unexpected, it was a good twist.
This was my first book by this author, but it definitely won't be my last!
It took me a while to warm up to Violet, she just seemed so disconnected from everything in her life. She falls for Rooster but after her father dies, Rooster becomes a monster. He not only repeatedly cheats on her but also beats and isolates her and even makes her drop out of nursing school.
The turning point is when Rooster "gives" her away to another MC to be used as collateral. She's held captive and made a house-mouse but she comes into her own and realizes that this new club is not what she expected. She never thought she'd find love, but Drifter is hard to ignore.
Violet thought she was marrying the man of her dreams. Her father was founder and president of the Devil's Army MC. Rooster her new husband was handsome and attentive, that is until her father died and he became president. From then on her life was miserable, Rooster was free with his fists and verbal abuse. Then there was all the other women. But the worse thing was when he used her as collatoral with the Satan's Sons MC, he just handed her over to show his good faith.
Reduced to being a maid of all work Violet is not happy, she has no idea how she'll be treated by Satan's Sons, Rooster has filled her head with tales of all the despicable things they've done. Then she meets Drifter he's just returned back home after his final tour of duty. There's an attraction, but one of the other women is expecting him to make her his old lady, so there's lots of tension and drama.
This is one of those stories that promises much but doesn't entirely deliver. It starts strongly showing us Violet's life with The cold and callous Rooster. Her early experiences at the Satan's Sons compound are well done. But as soon as Drifter makes his appearance in the story it's a case of insta love. I would have liked their relationship to have had a slower pace. The story also lost the edginess that it had going on. But it's an okay read.
It's been a while since the last time I read biker themed romance, I liked this book though it's not really my favorite.
Mostly because the heroine, Violet, is far too "full of herself" and innocent (in a biker world) to my liking. She was born and raised in a MC and her dad was a prez before he died, yet she become this soft woman who could not stand strong for herself. I know she's all alone, but how about her dad's brothers, the fellow biker? She can just run to them and seek help, right? No, she just sit there, taking her husband, Rooster, treatment and did nothing. I was like, be strong, gurl, grab a gun and kill that bastard! Jesus.
I don't really feel for Drifter too, ya know. He's a bit too "cold" for me. Not to mention his hesitation? Kind of a major turn off.
But overall I enjoyed it, even though not that much. Still looking forward to read the next installment though!
From the synopsis, this book sounded dark, gritty and exactly the type of book I love to read. In reality though, it didn't come anywhere close to that in my opinion. You are told that Violet's husband, Rooster, is abusive towards her but you don't experience it with her. There was hardly any violence as well. It's much tamer than the synopsis makes the book sound.
Even though it wasn't the story I expected it to be, I found it to be a really enjoyable read. The characters were easy to like, especially Drifter and Violet. Loved the dogs. I liked the twists in the story, one of which surprised me.
In reality, the relationship between Violet and Drifter did develop fairly quickly. They hadn't known each other for very long and yet they were quickly 'in love'. Usually I might have issues with book relationships like that but I found that, in this instance, I enjoyed it.
After reading the synopsis of this book one would probably think that is completely unrealistic I know I did but I have to tell you I really enjoyed this story no matter how unbelievable it may be. Violet Avery fathers was the very powerful president of Devils Army Motorcycle Club which would lead you to believe that she would never be hurt and would always have protection but sadly it wasn’t true in this case. She fell in love and married Rooster one of her father’s men who turned out to have different intentions for her and their life together. He was a very bad husband he was abusive and a cheater but she stayed with him anyway. On the night of their anniversary he tells her that he has traded her to a rival club the Satan’s Son as collateral. He informs her exactly how dangerous they are and how he never truly loved her anyway it was all a ploy on his part to become President of the club. She arrives and this club in complete fear but she doesn’t really fall apart which I admired. In her time at the rival club she becomes like a den mother to the men and the sweet butts cooking and cleaning for the club with no complaints. Then there is Drifter…a soldier brother of the club who comes home from war. This is where things change she is married yes but as soon as she sees him and him her there is that instant connection. This story is so good they fall in love but the love doesn’t just play out easy. There is struggle with what is right and wrong, other relationship and secrets. I really enjoyed this book even with all the things that seem so unrealistic. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys angsty relationship with MC vibe.
I was lucky to get this during the new release promotion for only 99 cents and it was worth every cent! I agree that fast falling in love is unrealistic, but for this life and as much time as Violet spends bonding with Drifter over their love of dogs and while she is kept a prisoner of sorts in the compound, I was able to overlook that and just enjoy the story. It moves along smoothly and pretty quickly with a few typos and continuity issues that threw me off slightly (in one scene they take all their clothes off but then she describes him as putting his hand in her panties) but I got over it and kept reading. I like that it was a complete story with no cliffhanger or to be continued feel and I was pleased with how it ended. An enjoyable quick MC for biker book lovers!
**** 4 **** "betrayed by love but open to a new start" stars
Jeez, meanly and brutishly, just sets the tone for me, those are just naff sentences. The first chapter sets the tone, boring, bad, naff dialogue, etc etc.
DNF at about 35%. Then skipped ahead to a sex scene, you never know, there might be some hope.
Nope, no hope found, in the sex scene the author forgets that the woman's panties are already off, when he's "slipping into my panties"
What, did someone just shout EDITOR ?
"my slick slit" There are reasons that you don't normally see something written like that, primarily, it's just crap.

Great story that kept me absorbed and reading.
I did feel, towards the end, that things were a bit rushed, making some things not plausible, but that truly was overlooked because of the heart of the story.
Loved the characters, well, except for Rooster of course. What a sorry excused for a man! What kind of man would put his wife up for collateral to a rival MC, just to make a deal he never intends to honor? And right before turning his wife over he tells her that he never loved her.. Rooster is that kind of man.
Violet:
Violet seemed really sweet. She's Rooster's "Old Lady", and she really does try to continue loving him, even after he's turned into the worlds biggest jackass. Rooster has one thing in mind and that's running the Devil's Army, the MC that Violet's father helped to start, and running it *his* way. When Violet is given to the Satan's Sons, she is told that she is there to cook and clean, to be a "house mouse". She wasn't happy about it, but was resigned to her fate. She fell in easily with the rival MC.. that was a bit hard to believe at first, but as I got to know Violet, I could understand it.
Drifter:
Home from his last tour with the military, for good, he gets back into the club life, falling back into his place. He and Cherish have a "thing".. it's complicated and gets a lot more complicated once he sees Violet!
Cherish:
This girl just gave me all kinds of bad vibes, little sweet butt with an attitude, and a misconception.
Stephanie:
She seemed sweet, kind, and helful. She was accepting of Violet and seemed to respect her for the "Old Lady" that she was.
The other "Old Ladies":
Oh I loved them! They were very kind to Violet, even though they didn't have to be, (they also) respected her as an Old Lady of a club President, even though it was a rival club, they knew that she was there under duress.
The other "Brothers":
I really enjoyed the Satan's Sons, most of them were true to their club, their women, and each other. I'd love to read more about them, and I hope this will turn into a series.
Violet and Drifter are pretty hot together. Fun to get to know these characters, all of them actually. I felt connected with them. There were some pretty good twists, some were predictable some were not. So even though I felt the ending was a bit rushed, this was still a very enjoyable read.
I read this book as a BOTM selection. I have to say that I have never read an MC book before and was not too sure on how much I would enjoy a story line like that. I was pleasantly surprised to find I do indeed like them.
The story line in this particular book was somewhat intriguing and I was eager to delve into it wondering what would happen next. Unfortunately that is where the good things begin and end for me. The editing in this book is very lacking. So much so that during one sex scene, the lead male told the lead female to strip and she did. Then in the next few lines the man ran his hands down to her panties and ran his hands inside of them. WHAT? I had to go back and make sure but alas I was not wrong, she already had them off. I guess she might wear two pair, but if she needs two pair of underwear I am not sure any man would want to be putting his hands in there!
On top of the editing problems, the writing style, to me, was awful. I am not what would be considered an extremely advanced reader who cannot enjoy anything but an advanced read. By all accounts I may just be the opposite of that, but this was way too simplistic for even me. It read like this to me....
"See Dick walk" "See Jane walk to Dick" "See Jane talk to Dick" "See Jane get bored" "See Jane leave and go to bed"
And I am sure lots of people are thinking I am exaggerating and I assure you I would probably think the same thing. But I Am Not!!!! That is how I felt while reading this. I am not sure what anyone truly looks like or their true personalities. I have a vague idea of what the surroundings looked like but not much more. I am not into EXTREMELY descriptive books but this was to the other end of the spectrum.
So even though I could have truly enjoyed this story line, I was unable to get past the writing. This author needs to work on getting the reader truly invested. I am sad though, as I would have loved to see where these books could have gone :(
Really enjoyed this one. A quick and easy read with likeable characters. I loved that for an MC book, this was relatively sweet and not too gritty.
That being said, I think one of my problems with Satan's Property was the development of the romance. The declaration of love, IMO came a little too early. I liked that the hero instantly knew it was her for him and likewise, but I would have liked it if Ms. Loren had taken the time to develop their relationship and get to know each other. I felt like I was dropped right to the part where they were fully ready to commit, and it didn't flow well for me.
Also, a minor annoyance, which probably won't bother most, but it was kind of deflating-
Moreover, I did not buy that someone as cruel as Rooster . Granted that I would not have liked to suffer a cruel fate, but there was really no negative consequence to the heroine being given away at all.
Still, I felt for Violet, and I rooted for her and Drifter. I appreciated that certain people were not who they were; it added depth and made for an interesting twist. Overall, a fun and fast-paced read.
This was a lighter MC read and I didn't mind it one bit.
**REMINDER:** People who say it's an unrealistic MC book... It's fiction folks! Have fun and go with it. Now that I put that out there...
I liked how easily Violet slid into Satan's Sons, that she didn't really make waves, how the old ladies seemed to like her, how the guys were nice to her... and I really enjoyed the fact that the sweet butt drama was limited to a minimum.
Cherish didn't pull any dirty tricks out of her bag. Well, maybe she did...
Okay, maaayybeee Drifter said, "I love you" a little too soon. Wow. It was sudden and unexpected. I think a wait might've made it a bit more persuasive but whatever.
Regardless of the insta- factor, I liked Drifter and Violet together. They were cute and I loved it when he showed her his home. His nervousness was downright adorable.
I'm not clear on how they were able to clean up the shoot-out mess without the cops nosing around (because they want to take the the Satan's Sons down) but I'm happy that they were able to.
VERY happy that Rooster got what he deserved! And also very happy that the snitch was taken care of.
I would've liked more with Violet and Drifter but it was a short book... Curious to see what happens next!
I really loved reading this book. Immediately I liked Violet, even though she turned a blind eye to her husbands infidelities. Poor Violet married a very mean, cruel man that enjoyed hitting a woman and would harm any one that stood in his way. I couldn't believe her own husband would send her in to the arms of another bikie gang as a bargaining tool. What kind of man would do that to his wife but as you find out this man cared for no one but him self. So when Violet finds her self in a strange house with a large group of a rival bikie gang I was actually happy for her. These men were a great bunch of guys that she later became part of their little family. Especially once Drifter came in. The were meant for one another. I was happy to see Violet finally getting the life she deserved.
I get so excited about new releases from Hearts Collective that I am not sure how I missed a release. I had to go back and read Satan’s Property before I could start Satan’s Revenge. The Satan’s Sons series is a little more violent and dark than some of Celia Loren’s other books but they totally worked for me. The violence is for the most part discussed in past tense than in graphic depiction for those of you who do not like to read the gory details.
explain to me please... how could this book be the Second book in the Dante’s Nine Motorcycle Club series if this serie is from other author(Colleen Masters)and already has the second book see this link:
This book was well written and I think it is a sweet romance between this x-soldier/bad ass biker and a sweet, spirited girl. There were a few plot twists that I didn't see coming and that doesn't happen often. It is a must read for all women out there that love their MC novels!
Loved it!! Definite page turner. I think the only "critical" statement I could make is the two main characters fell in love soo quickly. Like in 2 weeks. Other than that. Awesome book. Liked the story line A LOT!!!
I understand why the other reviews had some grip about no cliffhangers, for the next book in this series. I like the plot. At the beginning I pissed about how Violet treated, but it's an MC book. It wasn't as harsh was other MC books.
Violet - grew up in the Mc as the president’s daughter. Even so she came across as sheltered and even a bit naive. Even so she wasn’t a push over and definitely could think on her feet.
Drifter - was a bit hot and a bit sweet. I like how he became a bit of a softie with Violet. Although I did feel that the “instantaneous” ness of his feelings was a bit much. I liked their chemistry and the sizzle they made.
The rest of the story was a bit in the middle for the Mc world - there was talk of some of the darker things of MC life but mostly it was talk and the guys and gals were just a tiny bit gritty.
I read Satan's Property years ago and recently done a reread. It was even better the second time round. It was gritty, raw and sexy, just the way a good MC book should be. I've just one-clicked book two and cannot wait to start.
