Savage Jewels #4

Sin and Sapphire

Rate this book
I escaped my gilded cage as a mafia princess, until three dangerous, obsessive men caught me.

When a rival family murdered my father, I saw my chance for freedom, and took it.

Joke’s on me. My safety has a price—marry a man whose cruelty will break me, or surrender to three men whose obsession will do the same.

Luca Russo, heir to a rival mafia, chose his family over love. When he risks everything for a second chance with me, I don’t know how to tell him that I don’t want the endless pleasure he offers—I want my freedom.

Valentin Rochefort, a self-made billionaire, thinks I’m a spoiled brat who doesn’t know how good she’s got it. He likes to hurt me, and god help me, I like the pain.

And Angelo Costa, my father’s adopted brother and a violent psychopath, wants me on my knees, which terrifies me almost as much as the answering call in my soul to submit.

Individually, they're powerful men who won't take no for an answer. Together, they’re the most dangerous men I’ve ever met—to my enemies, to my soul, and worst of all, to my heart.

As they tangle me in a web of violence and desire, their darkness threatens to swallow me whole. Will love be a light to guide me out of the shadows, or just another way to keep me caged?

Sin & Sapphire is a dark, why choose, mafia romance where everyone (eventually) loves everyone. A full content note is available on the author’s website. Although the stories in the Savage Jewels series are interconnected, Sin & Sapphire is a standalone. The stories may be read in any order.

Tropes: dark mafia romance, why choose, the men fall first and hard, taboo, enemies to lovers, second chance, BDSM, degr@dation, k!dnapping + captivity.
Rating: 5✨

⚠️ This is a dark mafia romance, so please check the cw/tw before reading this book ⚠️.

Poppy Jacobson is a new-to-me author and I can’t wait to read more from her.
She left us a teaser of her next book, and I'm already in line to get my hands on it!

I genuinely enjoyed this book, and I wish we had more time with our four MCs. I could have read other hundreds of pages and never get tired of them.

Sin & Sapphire has a plot, personal growth and the right (a lot😏) amount of spice. But once again, check the trigger warnings because this is not a book for the faint of heart.

The MM action is very limited, but the love between the MMCs is very palpable.

I loved all three of our MMCs. Sure, someone was easier to love than the others, but at the end of the day, they all redeem themselves.

All I’m going to say is that Luca is my favorite, but I won’t tell you what his kink is because you’ll have to find out for yourself!

“a s@dist, a daddy, and a pleasure d0m walk into a dungeon …”

I mean, with a dedication like that, what would you expect?

Thanks to the author for providing me an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Alright- the Queen of Dark Mafia Romance Kink has done it again.

Sin & Sapphire, the latest in the Savage Jewel series might be the darkest in my opinion, but immediately became my favorite.
This book is raw, unflinching and those trigger warnings are real, make note of them.

This is perfect for lovers of:
Why choose
Sadist Kink
Degradation
Age Gap
Forbidden/Taboo
MMF

So again-read those trigger warnings, BUT- if all those tropes check your boxes, you are gonna LOVE this book.
I enjoyed the true emotion that came from all the characters, and while 99.9% of what they do is morally grey (maybe darker than that) I still was drawn to their love for each other, Poppy Jacobson can write chemistry and the three men that claim mafia princess Ana are ELECTRIC.

I encourage all to grab the first 3 books (2nd book is in 2 parts) but if you stumble upon this, the first few aren't needed, you can jump in, the author will weave the other stories in perfectly.

Lastly- all I'll say is I need some Luca in my life. More Luca please.

Thank you to Poppy Jacobson for an advanced copy of this, I enjoyed the ride and can't wait to see what's next.

my review of sin & sapphire⋆˚࿔

rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5)
tropes: forced proximity, mafia, lowk kidnapping (but its the cute kind trust), grumpyxsunshine, EVERYTHING I LOVE
genre: dark romance/mafia romance (guys y'all know me by now), and self help because this book healed me more than my eight years of therapy ever has

overall thoughts⋆˚࿔

i genuinely could not finish this book slow enough. you'd better betttt i dragggeeddd the hell out of reading it and ate up every single word. in short, let me just say that poppy jacobson could take my money, my house, everything i own, and it still wouldn't be enough in exchange for this book.

am i incredibly melodramatic about every book i read? yes.

was this also the best book i've ever read? Y. E. S.

no but seriously if i could have highlighted this entire damn book in pink, you'd better bet i would have. this was one of those books that you can just FEEL is going to be perfect from the very start, and i honestly don't even care if it's impractical, morally black, or lowk INSANE, it genuinely altered my brain chemistry for the better. this book was 542 pages, and if i had let myself, i'm confident i would have finished it in just two hours. when i tell y'all the chokehold this book had on me-

i was in the middle of english class being lectured about the dichotomy of romeo and juliet when valentin popped into my head and i couldn't stop grinning.

the best part about this book, arguably was the plot: the hottest book characters i've ever read about... jk there was actually such an interesting plot with the cutest damn character arcs everrrr and just UGHHHHHH!!!! again, poppy, girl, MARRY ME.

no but the way i actually had to forbid myself from reading this book more than ten minutes at a time genuinely speaks for itself. i cried when i finished the first hundred pages because it meant i only had 442 more to read.

okayyyy that's enough about me ranting, let's get to the

plot ⋆˚࿔

GUYS THIS WAS LOWK SUCH A GOOD PLOT LIKE IDC IF IT WAS MAINLY SMUT LIKE THERE WAS PLOT AND I WILL DIE ON THIS HILLLLL

i actually felt like this was the first mafia romance i've read that made the plot seem somewhat feasible. like yes obvi it's unrealistic for there to be three hot men who accidentally fall irrevocably in love with you, but from a logistics standpoint i'm pretty solid with this book.

one thing i loved in particular was the pacing. so often, i feel like romance authors feel pressure to gloss over less "for the plot" scenes because there's so much toxicity in the reader community around how all books need plot and that any book that has characters slowly getting to know one another is bad. like god forbid a girl wants to communicate ✋🙄

there were so many times when poppy could have easily just skipped a scene between ana and angelo/valentin, but she LEFT THEM IN and as someone who is a sucker for sweet/slow/unnecessary character development, i ATE IT ALLLLLL UP. it was so cute to be able to see how their dynamics blossomed throughout the duration of the story, and i genuinely believe that the pace was perfect so there was a believable amount of time passing between turning points.

characters⋆˚࿔

ana⋆˚࿔

GUYS ANA IS ME AND I AM ANA AND I WOULD FOLLOW HER TO THE DEPTHS OF THE EARTHHHHH!!! her character arc was probably the best i've ever read since jude in the cruel prince. she's such a badass and it was so fucking REFRESHING to read a dark romance book where the fmc is submissive but NOT in personality. like if i had a penny for every time she said "fuck you" to angelo and valentin, i'd be a millionaire.

i loved how she didn't let her being a woman affect the way she interacted with the world. you physically cannot convince me that ana costa is not one of the world's biggest feminists.

₊⊹⁀➴
i'd show him. i'd show all of them. fucking men who took away women's power and made us use our bodies instead, then punished us for it

i mean, she fucking said that before LIGHTING HER RAPIST'S BOAT ON FIRE.

and the best part is, she didn't have to wait for her men to make her realize she was strong and confident and fucking badass... on page 45, she said,

₊⊹⁀➴
whatever the future held, i would face it head on. i was ana fucking costa. my father beat me, locked me in closets, let men feel me up if it'd help seal a business deal, and sold me off in exchange for a shipping deal. i could do anything. and i would.

anyway, i say all this to say that it is SO REFRESHING for there to be a dark romance fmc who doesn't need men to fix her. *cough* alina starkov *cough*

that's not to say that she didn't find comfort in her husbands, or that i condemn others for needing that because BELIEVE ME, as a chronically anxious girly myself, you'd better bet i need fifty tablespoons of reassurance with every one drop of affection, but when she did it didn't fundamentally change her own view of herself. she leaned on them for support in order to reaffirm what she already knew deep down: that she was ana fucking costa.

anyway i could write an entire essay (which i guess i kinda have) on how impactful she is to me, which sounds so stupid considering this is a mafia romance novel that i found one day on ig reels, but ana truly inspires me to be a braver person myself.

₊⊹⁀➴
the sting in my back served as a reminder that i was alive, that i'd survived the worst humanity had to offer, and that i'd fucking own. and my prize, a life with the men i loved, was so close i could taste it.

valentin daddy⋆˚࿔

guysugysugysugys HEAR ME TF OUT OKAYYYY...

yes he's THE blackest of blacks when it comes to morals, but he's the TENNEST OF TENS when it comes to literally everything elsseeeee. like my man fr CARRIEDDDDD this book...

let's just say that after reading this book, i can understand why france is considered a romance language

₊⊹⁀➴
"princesse," i murmured softly. "courageuse. belle. brillante. magnifique. a goddess among mere mortals. ne me quitte pas, je t'en supplie... réveille-toi! tu fais un cauchemar."

like pls if going to france is all it takes to find a man like this, i'm booking a ticket and SPRINTING down that tarmac. 🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️🤸🏻‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️✈️🇫🇷

anyway, i genuinely cannot put into words how much this man was tugging at my heartstringgssss like you'd think i was a fiddle with the way he absolutely PLAYED my emotions. he was absolutely my fav out of ana's three husbands and i think my second favorite book boyfriend in the world (after adam carlsen ofc)

angelo⋆˚࿔

ANGELO MI AMORRRRRRRRR

guys angelo is that perfect mix of gentle and sweet and hot and like lowk cruel but like SOOO HOTTTT as;ldkjfads;lk

sorry um let me collect myself...

guys this man was DOWN BAD from the very start. like. to the point where it was very nearly a problem one i'm so so grateful he had he might not be as morally corrupt as valentin, but i would pray to him any night he's the only god i'll ever believe in

also LET'S GO BI MMC REP??? HIS AND VALENTIN'S DYNAMIC WAS SO CUTE FROM THE START LIKE I WAS FR KICKING MY FEET AND BLUSHING BECAUSE OF THEM

luca⋆˚࿔

i kinda hated this bitch at first tbh but only because all his povs were boring ASFFFFF no but he's fine. i mean he's not as good as angelo and valentin and yes the book would have been fine if not better without him but he's fine i guess i think maybe as;lkdfja;sdlkfja;lj

i think he added a lot to the group's dynamic and was definitely a place of absolute kindness that ana needed, but because of the story's pacing i really didn't see too much of him until the last two hundred pages when i had already fallen madly for valentin and angelo.

anyway... did he add something to the group? sure.

would this book have been fine without him? yes.

final thoughts⋆˚࿔

this book was honestly the best book i've ever read and i'm so pissed because of that because wdym i'll never read a book as perfect as this one??? i feel like, even though i've typed out a full novel detailing every little thing i love, i will never be able to say enough about how much this book means to me.

anyway, just to recap: valentin is my husband, poppy is my god, and i am one very sad, very lonely girl.

thank you for reading!! <3

Where to begin…I have loved every book in this series and I thought that the previous book couldn’t be topped but oh my gosh. ANA F’N COSTA, is one bad a$$ woman. Her strength, resolve, loyalty, fearlessness, selflessness was amazing. Watching her transform into her true self and rising above the flames like a phoenix was nothing short of incredible. And these men. I knew I would love Angelo, I already liked Luca, but Valentin was the one that threw me with how deeply he loved and cared for Ana. Sure, he tried to hold back, but love won out. They each give Ana something she needs and as family, complete each other perfectly. The twists and turns. The hurt and love. The spice is spicing!! I love that this is an interconnected series and getting to see glimpses of the other families was heart warming. Highly recommend this book but suggest reading this series in order for the best experience. Do check TW’s. And enjoy!!!

I had the wonderful pleasure of reading this ARC and these are 100% my honest thoughts on the book. Thank you for the opportunity!

Tropes & CW at the end. My tagged shelves may be spoilers.

I was hooked from chapter one. It felt a little like dropped into an already started story, but the author does a good job at weaving in previous book plotlines in a way that you can piece together the family and mafia world dynamics of the series as you read. I have only read book 1 and not the duet of book 2 & 3 and still was able to feel fully immersed in the world so I definitely appreciated that.

This is a DARK romance where all of the author's TW at the beginning should be regarded. At times I wanted to hate the book because my heart broke for Ana (fmc) and the emotional turmoil she was in. (maybe I'm moving away from my love of super dark, toxic romances! *terrifying thought! ) Ana desperately wanted to be wanted just because someone loved her, not because they thought they could use her body or name for their own game. & while us as readers got an inside look at Angelo and Valentine's (mmc #1 and #2) thoughts from the chapters that were their POV, Ana didn't. So, she was left feeling like she was only useful to them in the same way every other man I showed her - for her body and family's empire. From their POV chapters, it was obvious that even when they thought they could keep themselves from forming an emotional attachment, they were completely gone for her.

I loved the established dynamic between Angelo and Valentine, it made the entire relationship dynamic later more captivating. & even though I wanted to rage and hurt them at times, I did like how they helped Ana find a way to let go of her always-in-control and stoic-mafia-princess personality, so she could feel her emotions for a change. Ana may have not wanted to give up control at first, but she definitely came to crave that dynamic just as much as the two men.

As for Luca, I wish we would have had more of him. I enjoyed the lighter personality he brought into the relationship and definitely loved how his presence and actions showed Valentine and Angelo that Ana deserves affection in different ways than just kink.

The mafia aspects worked well, and I really liked Ana throwing it in Angelo and Valentine's faces that she knew more than them on the business side. I do wish there would have been a bit more of the guys feeling wrecked seeing what Ana had gone through in the third half, and more groveling as well. The last few chapters did feel a bit rushed, but the HEA played out nicely. There were times I occasionally thought it needed a bit more plot over spice, but not in a way that made me stop reading or really lessened my enjoyment by the end.

thank you to the author for the opportunity to read early via an e-arc. review is my own, honest opinion.

Wow, just wow. This book was incredible. I could never have imagined a brat, daddy, sadist, and pleasure dom making it work but Poppy pulled it off.

This mafia romance will take you on a trip of many betrayal, kinks, and heartbreaking relationships. 🙏Please check trigger warnings🙏

I loved the characters.

Angelo is the daddy of the group. He likes to be in charge and he’s lusted over his non-blood niece since she was 16. His family is quite complicated and messy.

Valentin is the sadist. He loves Angelo but can’t connect with him the way he really craves. He loves a good whip and he dislikes Ana a lot.

Ana is our mafia princess. What she really wants is to finally be loved. She’s a chaotic woman who has been beaten physically and emotionally for her entire life.

Luca is the pleasure dom and I’ll be honest he’s my favorite. I love how he worships Ana. He also lives a complicated mafia family life. He has to choose between sharing the love of his life and taking up the empire his father wants him to run.

With these kind of characters what could go wrong?
Please read this. It’s incredible.

This book took me a little bit to get into it but once I did I couldn’t stop. I very much enjoyed this book and watching these characters grow and love each other was so amazing to see.
Ana went through such a trauma but her healing journey and becoming this strong woman was amazing. I also fell in love with each and every MMC. They were each so different and loved Ana in their own way!
If you love a book that explores into BDSM then this is definitely a must read for you.

Holy freaking shiznitz!!!!!!! This book was everything full of Sin and Sapphire!!!!!!! Ana the mafia Princess truly had a way to ensuring she knew her place, knew what she needed to do and to fulfill her duties.

The twists and turns that happens will have you saying "just one more chapter" which leads to 10 more chapters because you need to see what happens next.

Multiple POV and so much intensity within these pages BUT absolutely worth it. It is brilliant, exciting, emotional and demanding in so many ways.

Thank you Poppy for allowing me to read this wonderful debut for you!!!!!! ✨️📚✨️

Personally, I didn’t love how it started and how they treated her at the beginning. However, the end of the book was chef’s kiss 😙👌 amazing. We love men groveling. Also the word whelp was used so much. I don’t even know what that is 🤔

What a book!

First, I loved Ana and her bratty self because let’s be real we need a bad ass mafia princess.

Second, the trigger warnings are a must read before starting this book! I had no issues but for others who may not be ok with it all need to look at the list!

Poppy had a great way of intertwining the stories from the other books to give the characters a lot more context which for a reader who has not read any other of the Savage Jewels stories like myself, truly helped.

The story was such a captivating story right from page 1. The characters were fantastic! Angelo, Valentin and Luca were all amazing male characters… but I need more Luca and lord I truly hope Poppy gives us more of him.

A must read!

🖤 Dark Mafia Romance
💋 Why Choose
🖤 The MMCs fall first and harder
💋 Enemies to Lovers
🖤 Second Chance
💋 Grown A$$ FMC (she bl●ws up a yacht 😉)

Wow, just wow! This absolutely incredible Dark Mafia Romance book By Poppy has literally everything you could possibly want in it!

Absolutely delicious 🤤 it has the seriously bada$s FMC Ana, it has the absolutely mouthwatering MMCs and I'm talking all three of them! All have different qualities that they bring to the table, but by the end they are all one big happy family sharing each other 😉🤤😍
You have the Mafia wars, you have Ana getting stuck in the middle (well let's be fair she is in the middle) you have the men sending the touch her and 💀 vibes, I will burn the 🌎 for you, you have them getting their empires back under control along the way.
I ate this book up, it was equal parts plot and spice and one hell of a ride!

Sin & Sapphire releases December 6th 😍🖤

OH MY GOD!!!

First things first, thank you to Poppy for putting translations in the paragraphs instead of in the back or us having to go to google translate so often!

I was lucky enough to be chosen to do an ARC read of Sin &Sapphire.

This is a great dark read. The plot was great and the spice was sooo good. A well deserved 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.
The MM was minimal. Ana is a BRAT 😍 but she’s such a strong character.

The content warning was described as “like a shopping list” which was just *chef’s kiss* ! We get all the degradation and a good bit of praise. This had all of my favorite tropes all rolled into one read.

Wow, there is a lot I liked about this one! I loved the character growth all around for everyone, the story line itself, and the SPICE was hot. I loved the way Ana fought so hard for her freedom, only to find it where she least expected it. She brought 3 men together, one of which would loosely be considered an enemy, and they made it work so beautifully in the end. I hope we see more of them somewhere, they got their HEA but I want more of this group!

It, unfortunately, wasn’t for me.

I do like spicy scenes, but unfortunately, the spice overrode the plot by a lot.

I think this was the darkest of the dark romances I've read this year, or it just had some of the darkest topics. I think Poppy's books are right at my limits, where mid reading, I'm sitting there slightly worried about myself and definitely worried about the FMC because this series gets INTENSE, at least it did for me.
This book is definitely for the veterans of spice/bdsm topics. I don't think I've read such a intense 24/7 bdsm slave dynamic in a book and that's really threw me off and I had to realize that as much as I personally wouldn't want to be in this situation, the FMC (Ana) is ok and could get out of it if she wanted to (mostly). Once I got that through my mind, I could relax and enjoy the roller-coaster that was this story. At no point did the story go in the direction I thought it was going to, so I won't spoil it for you. The MMCs, Angelo, Valentin, and Luca really showed the reason I love a poly/why choose romance. Each man was there for a certain part/side of Ana that they couldn't do alone. I think Valentin was my favorite to see inside his head because he was in charge of the punishments and it seemed like he didn't really like her and then seeing the shift in him was so great because you realize just how far he would go for her and how much he was wiling to lose. Luca was also a great addition because he brought the sweetness that was needed in the dynamic, whereas Angelo brought the structure.
Ana also came into her own in such a strong way, second half Ana vs first half Ana were both strong women but second half Ana had something extra that just made me love her even more and the anxiety I had for her disappeared cause she really had everything together and for some odd reason the song that goes "Walk him like a dog" was playing in my brain on repeat while reading, pesky ADHD 😏
As always Poppy's books put me in a dark romance slump where I have to read happy books after so this came out at the perfect time cause now I can read the happy Christmas books while I rethink some of these scenes I saw in here...the office scene with Luca and Angelo comes to mind...
Thank you to Poppy Jacobson for allowing me to ARC read!

“a s@dist, a daddy, and a pleasure d0m walk into a dungeon …” who can resist a dedication like that?!

Poppy Jacobson is a new author to me, and I wasn't disappointed. I will definitely be catching up with her back list!

This is a dark mafia romance, so please check your trigger warnings ⚠️
Our FMC Ana is a brat but one that you can't help fall for. Her progression through the book was great she has dealt with a lot of trauma and really just wants to be loved.

Our MMC's are Luca, Valentin, and Angelo. All three are very morally grey (some may say black) heros that totally have touch her and die vibes. They fall first, and they fall hard!!

Really enjoyed this book and will definitely be back reading the others in the series. Poppy manages to have interwoven the previous plot lines, etc, so I didn't feel lost.

So wrong but oh so right!

Never wanted to punch so many men in my life while reading this book. Very dark why choose, mafia romance, make sure to check the triggers. This book is not for everyone. But for me, I loved it! A super spicy action packed adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat begging for more. So, roll up your sleeves and dig in for an emotional roller coaster to the max. I swear I had steam coming out of my ears at some of the things Ana went through. This book will have your anger flaring, the tears falling, jaw dropping, mouth drooling, and heart swooning for Ana and her three sexy men. A real touch her and die romance.

A true journey of strength for Ana as she battles with her self-worth and her role as a woman in the mafia. Breaking all the rules in her life and her loves. Romeo and Juliet vibe, the kindness she needed with Luca. Daddy Dom age gap romance with Angelo, and her sadist in denial Valentin. She is more than just a toy for male pleasure. If her men figure that out, they may manage to find their happily ever after.

Favorite line, “…rising like a phoenix from the ashes of your father.” You also get a lesson on French curse words.

She blew up a yacht… and more. What’s there not to love?

Yes, this does have a long list of trigger warnings, but for those of us that just get more excited at that, this one meets and exceeds expectations 🖤 check the list prior to reading.

FMC - does start off as being naive, pretentious and entitled. But, as the story continues, you learn more about her trauma and desires. In the end, she just wants what normal folks want - freedom to make her own decisions and care for those that she loves. She learns to take control, while giving it all up in return.

Luca, our little puppy. Sadly, don’t get to experience a lot from him until a good portion of the story is complete.
Angelo, I’m still a bit creeped at the beginning given it’s his niece… and a teenager. If you can move past that, and know that they aren’t actually blood relation, nor does anything happen for a decade …. HERE FOR IT.
Valentin, my absolute FAVORITE. The sadism, the caring attention (for Ana and Angelo 🖤), ability to be so hard and so soft at the same time. He listens and he learns.

None are unwilling to kill to get what they want. Spice is high, but the plot moves forward at a good pace.

Five star read, highly recommend. I need to now read the first three books of the series!

ARC Review

I’m at a loss for words—this story was simply incredible! If I could experience it for the first time again, I absolutely would. Each character brings their own unique charm, and I love how each of the male leads has their own brand of dominance. I laughed, smiled, blushed, and cried while reading this. I wasn’t prepared for the emotional rollercoaster, but I finished it much quicker than I expected. With over 70 chapters, I read it all in one day—that’s how captivating it was! 😂

Ana is a fierce yet tender main character, and when you throw in her three male interests, she beautifully surrenders to them. I did wish for more scenes with Luca, but I can’t complain about what I got. 😳😊

I genuinely loved this book and wished I could have more of these characters but I guess I can go read the author's other books. 😂.

*Sin & Sapphire* definitely has a plot that's not just spice but there is for sure a lot of spice! Just a heads-up—check the trigger warnings, it might be needed.

The MM action is minimal, but the chemistry between the male main characters is palpable. I adored all three of them. Especially in the last scene.

**Tropes:**
- Forced proximity
- Adopted uncle x niece
- Established MM
- Polycule
- Mafia families
- Anti-hero MMCs
- MM to MMF to MMFM
- Light daddy kink
- Exhibitionism
- Forced dom/sub dynamic
- Forced orgasms
- Whipping & spanking
- Kidnapping
- Noncon & CNC
- Rape (not by MMCs)
- Drugging (not by MMCs)

Overall, if you’re looking for a book that blends depth with plenty of spice, *Sin & Sapphire* is a must-read!

I am down BAD for Ana, Luca, Valentin, and Angelo.

We start the book meeting Angelo when he first lays eyes on his angel Ana when she's 16 (oh and she's his adopted niece 🫣), feeling like he's no better than some of the men in the mafia he surrounds himself with he leaves to get as far away from his obsession as he can. 10 years later when Anas father Gio is killed Angelo is back for his pretty obsession.

Ana is the Mafia princess who wants more for her life then being a dutiful wife, when Angelo ships her off to her grandfather after her father's death only for her to get kidnapped by the man her father promised her to Angelo and Valentin do all they can to hunt her down much to Valentin annoyance.

And our sweet baby Luca! Brother of Anas best friend, and also the heir to a rival family, Ana and Luca have snuck around behind everyone's back for their love affair. When Ana is sent to her grandfather it tears Luca apart, but our sweet boy doesn't give up and does all he can to help get his girl back!

Watching how their love evolved through the chaos, Anas brat energy and Angelo and Valentin having to accept Luca it was such a beautiful story! I just want to read more of their love 😍

This was my first book of Poppy's I've read, and it was amazing. I LOVE a good "why choose/forbidden romance," and this one was pretty dang fabulous.

I can definitely say that coming into this series at the 4th book, I didn't feel like I was lost with ANY of the story lines. It does, however, make me want to go back and read the rest of the series. My TBR list just got longer...

The characters in this book were dynamic. I loved each and every nuance they had and how they all fit together. Ana is a fiercely strong woman but isn't viewed as that in her world. But she is a fighter, and that is what kept me cheering for her. She knows her worth, especially with her education backing her up. She's not just a baby factory. She's a business woman whether she likes it or not. And now, onto the men! I swoon hard over a good alpha, and this book had two to drool over. Angelo and Valentin did not disappoint. Both are rugged, strong, ruthless men who take what they want, literally. Both are bull-headed, and that makes for amazing content. Luca isn't so shabby, either. He is sweet and caring and just wants to make Ana happy in every way he can 😉. He just had to figure out his way in, and when he did, well, it was lovely. When each of the men let their guards down and showed their true selves to Ana, my heart ached, and tears fell. To see strong male characters being vulnerable,... ugh 😢.

Sin & Sapphire had some sensational heat to it. Sparks were flying off the pages, and the chemistry between these characters was mouthwatering. Poppy did a fantastic job weaving these characters' lives together with suspense, fire, brattiness, and love. This is a must-read for sure.

I absolutely loved this book!!! Dark romance mafia with loads of kink and a RH! Ughhhh swooooon

I love Ana Costa - she is a bad bitch. She can take hits and get back up everytime. A true mafia princess. Angelo and Valentin think she is her toy and obsession but she proves she is so much more than that. Angelo is an enforcer and head mafia man but I love that he is soft and willing to make Ana happy no matter the cost. Valetin is bad boy sadist and the most skeptical of Ana as he is Angelos long time partner. Luca is the rival mafia mogul who has fallen in love with her before and never got to express his feelings. He forces his way into the threesome with his golden retriever energy and willing to prove himseld.

Favorite genre to read ZERO dissappointment in this book. Its flawless!

This is the first book I’ve ever read from Poppy and I’ve come in not knowing her universe at all. I’ve finished the book and I now need to go back and read them all. Her choice of keeping her universe Pan so that anybody can love anybody means you never know quite where the story will lead and who will fall for who.
I love that there are clearly different dynamics between the characters and what motivates them, each having to go through their own process before making their commitment. This leads us as readers to be swept along with the angst of not knowing who will give in first.

Ana Costa is a force to be reckoned with; passed off as a lower being, to be used and discarded by every man at every turn, everyone underestimates the strength and gumption she really wields, bringing those who doubt her to their knees. Luca Valentin and Angelo, all want Ana to sate their different desires but along the way they begin to see she can bring so much more than her body to the table.
A lengthy read but well worth it.

Valentin who is a sadist but he loves Angelo, he just can't connect with him in a way that he craves ..... Holy smokes ! What a ride !

Let me first start off with Ana - what a baddie !!!! A strong female in a male driven world aka The Mafia. Ana is definitely an example of a woman who has been brought up in a world where she is viewed as just an object but secretly is smarter than any man in her way!

The men - Luca , Angelo and Valentin. These three men were so delicious in their own ways !!!! I have never been into the whole sadist/pleasure dynamic , but Valentin changed that! I wasn’t sure how I felt about his character at first but by the end of the book I loved him too. Luca and Angelo - two very different men in similar lifestyles but one common woman. They both have Ana’s best interests in mind, and loved her fiercely. Between the three men - they showered Ana with love and affection in their own individual ways.

Overall great book the dynamic of the four characters work so well together. And the story line is very well executed. As always please read the triggers and warnings.

This book was such an intense ride! I haven’t read one this fast paced in a long time, there was so much that happened. There’s twists and plenty of jaw dropping moments.

"𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐞, 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬?"

I loved this book! The spice was so hot. I loved the dynamics and the relationships. I love the taboo and forbidden aspects. All of the men are just perfect!

I really like Ana too. Super strong fmc, she’s a mafia princess who’s had a very tough journey. This book was angsty at times and emotional. I can’t wait to read more from this author because this book had me hooked!

First and foremost like always read your trigger warnings before reading any dark romance.
I enjoyed this book it had a little bit of everything in it. FMC- Ana Costa very strong resilient woman. She has fire and sass a little young at first but she grows and does it beautifully.
MMC 1: Angelo: demanding daddy for sure. His affection for Ana is pure obsession turned love. He’s very protective but will kill for those he loves.
MMC 2: Valentine: big Ahole he is sadist with a cold heart that melts for Ana.
MMC 3: Luca: son of a rival mafia pure pleasure dom that brings love and affection to the quad balances everyone out.
Although this book has its kinks and bdsm it has a lot of action and violence and a decent plot to follow. I’d recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Dark romance!

The final Russo

Good lord I absolutely fell in love with Ana’s story and it just legit blew me away. I didn’t think it could get any better but it truly did. Yes I will give a warning to check your triggers if you’re new to the poppy-verse because it gets WILD. Yes this is the final book to the Russo’s who I am going to insanely miss. Spoiler, you don’t have to read the other books to enjoy. However do they go out with a bang! Well an explosion is more like it LOL. Ever wanted to know what it’s like to blow up a yacht?! Oh and when you read make sure to come back tell me which of Ana’s men is your favorite, personally mine is Valentin but I mean that’s just the red flag in me. So sad to say goodbye to an era but hopefully we’ll see them again based on the clues at the end!
