Big Filthy Mobster

Holly

Keeping things in order is something I’ve always been able to do. Make a plan, and execute it. It’s simple really.
After making the choice to move to sleepy Cherrywood Village, I thought I had everything figured out—until Patrick walked into my life. Suddenly nothing’s simple at all.
He’s everything I shouldn’t dangerous, distant, and buried under layers of guilt. But something about him calls to me, pulling me deeper into a world I never thought I’d be a part of. My life has shifted and Patrick is at the axis of everything.

Big Filthy Mobster is an Age gap, Mafia, Insta-love Romance and with all the right feels.

3/5 ehhh

TROPES:
-age gap
-very light mafia
-strangers to lovers
-instalove

Patrick works for the mafia. He meets Holly at a casino where he launders money. They’re immediately attracted to each other and start to date.

This book was just kinda.. there. The storyline was tame. There wasn’t any chemistry between the leads. I wanted more spice 😭

SAFETY:
virgin heroine, no mention of hero’s past
no OM/OW
no cheating/sharing
triggers: hero is a widow and there’s talk of his ex wife
HEA

"She's already mine, and she doesn't even know it yet."~Patrick

I enjoy how interconnected the books are about Cherrywood Village. Great world building. Each book is a standalone story but what a big world of characters this place has. It's very interesting. This one is short and it goes by quickly. We have Patrick, an older man, who has his long time secret connection to the Russian mob, feeling a strong attraction to a young woman working the blackjack table at Maxwell's casino. Patrick is still annoyed that Maxwell is married to his daughter Jeannie, but he knows deep down that his friend loves her. Patrick is focused on getting to know Holly and hopefully it will lead to something more. He wants her, but doesn't know if he should pursue anything with her. Patrick is ready to fall in love again.

Holly is sweet. She likes Patrick. They talk. They flirt. He takes her out to dinner. She wants to follow her feelings and maybe it could lead to something more with him. What's interesting is that Patrick, after talking with Maxwell, is honest with her about what he does for a living. Nothing is held back. Patrick leaves it up to her if she wants to give him a chance or not. I like that. Great communication.

There's mild spice. Is there a HEA? Yes, there is. This book kept my attention. If you're looking for a quick read, check out the Cherrywood Village books. They're really good. Happy reading.❤️♠️♦️❤️♠️♦️

🃏♣️Thank you to Ms West and Booksprout for an early book. The thoughts and opinions expressed here are completely my own.♣️🃏

With Maxwell off enjoying his honeymoon with Patrick’s daughter Jeannie, Patrick is keeping an eye on Maxwell’s casino, and things are about to get interesting. Wandering over to the blackjack table to pass the time, he meets Holly, a new dealer with a captivating smile and a certain charm that immediately draws him in. Their conversation flows effortlessly, revealing shared interests that spark something unexpected between them. But there’s a catch, an undeniable age gap that makes Patrick hesitate to pursue things any further. Yet, despite his initial reservations, Patrick finds himself returning to Holly’s table the very next day, unable to ignore the magnetic pull he feels. What follows is a whirlwind of chemistry that doesn’t hold back—starting with a steamy break during Holly’s shift, followed by an unforgettable first date. The candidness of their attraction is both refreshing and daring, and it was a standout element of the story for me. Their open communication added depth, particularly when Patrick, lays his cards on the table about his past and what he does for a living before things get too serious. Admittedly, I was expecting a touch more "mafia" in this mafia romance, but apart from Patrick’s big revelation, it doesn’t really play a part. In that sense the title is doubly misleading – only mildly filthy and mobster by name, more than nature. But hey, this is a quick read, so the focus stays squarely on the romance—and what a romance it is. So, sit back and let the sparks fly.

He has a secret that may not be as secretive as he thought.

Patrick Montgomery is currently managing the casino owned by his best friend, Maxwell, while he's on his honeymoon with Patrick's daughter, Jeannie. He wasn't wild about their involvement, let alone marriage, but it wasn't worth losing a daughter and a friend.

When he reaches his favorite blackjack table, he's struck dumb by the dealer. He's never seen Holly before, but not only is she beautiful, she also knows what she's doing. He's not been this drawn towards any woman since the death of his wife.

Holly moved from New York to Cherrywood Village. She was also taken with Patrick. She's twenty-two but he's her first real crush, and she's not quite how to act.

When he returns to her table a few nights later, she discovers that he travels a lot, something she'd like to do, and like her, he's a reader.

Her move to Cherrywood Village was her chance to finally begin to live her life for herself, rather than caring for others. She's never had a boyfriend, her first and only kiss happened in middle school,  because as soon as she was old enough, she went to work. She's missed out on so many things, including college.

She realizes that Patrick is withholding something from her. She thinks she has an inkling of what it might be. She just hopes it won't be a deal-breaker.

This is book six in the author’s Cherrywood Village series and picks up where the previous book, Big Bold Gambler left off. Patrick, our MMC, is Jeannie’s father and Maxwell’s best friend from the last book. He gave Maxwell a lot of grief about dating his daughter and now it looks like he’s got woman troubles of his own.

Holly is no stranger to the casinos, it seems like they’ve always played a large part in her life, even as a child. Now she’s working as a blackjack dealer in the small town casino of Cherrywood Village and meets Patrick, the handsome, older gambler. Sparks fly immediately on both sides but Patrick is definitely hiding something, can she trust him with the way she’s starting to feel for him?

I enjoyed this book but I thought it ended way too abruptly. I was still thinking on how odd the last regular chapter ended when the epilogue started and then IT ended on a low note as well.

Although not my favorite book by this author, it wasn’t bad. I did like how it tied in with the previous book. Overall, this was just a 4 star read for me.

Oh wow this is such a hot sizzling ebook you really won't want to miss. I loved it. Patrick goes into the casino he's overseeing for his best friend when he happens to see a beautiful young woman dealing at the blackjack table and is instantly smitten. Holly sees Patrick a hot looking older man headed towards her table. You can just feel the crackling in the air. They have such an undeniable chemistry. Will Holly and Patrick feel that they were made for each other? Can Holly be with Patrick with a feeling that he's more than he seems? Does Patrick reveal the truth about what he does? Would they both acknowledge whats in their hearts for each other? This amazing author can add another 5⭐️ hit to her resume with this one. I definitely recommend you get this exciting ebook. You'll love it and won't want to put it down.

Lizzy West does it again with another instalove classic. Patrick sees Holly at the black jack table and immediately feels a connection. Holly is intrigued and interested in Patrick the second he sits at her table. Even though he’s older she feels an attraction. After a successful first date Patrick starts feeling guilty because he still has love for his wife that died years before and he has a secret he hasn’t told Holly as well. After taking time to think it over he tells Holly about his deceased wife and his secret. Leaving Holly to be able to chose to continue their relationship or walk away. The characters reel you in and there is hope that love can breach all barriers. This book will have believing in the power of love and Patrick and Holly.

Patrick (H), who has been part of the mafia for most of his life, meets Holly (h22), a new blackjack dealer at the casino he frequents to launder money. Despite his initial intention to keep his distance, he's drawn to her kindness and innocence, sparking a connection that quickly grows into something more. As their relationship develops, Patrick struggles with the secrets of his past, fearing that his criminal life could endanger any chance of happiness with Holly, even as things heat up between the two. Holly, dealing with her own personal demons and scars, has to decide if a future with Patrick, and the complexities of his life, are what she wants for her future or if he's too close to the life she left behind. Hot and steamy age gap, instalove, mafia lite romance, exploring love, connection, redemption, secrets, vulnerability, and understanding.

Patrick enters the casino to pay some blackjack since his daughter is on her honeymoon with his best friend,Maxwell, and his wife died many years ago. His regular dealer is off,but he is shocked to see a gorgeous woman as a new dealer; she is a little thing. He talks to her while playing to the growls of other players. He likes what he learns; her name is Holly and she is from NYC like he was until he moved to Cherrywood Village. Patrick is not telling his history with the Mafia and what he still does. He talks to Maxwell about what he should do going forward with Holly about his past; will he follow Maxwell's advice? Does Patrick want a future with Holly? If he tells Holly about his past, will she want anything more to do with Patrick?.

This is Book 6 of the wonderful Cherrywood Village series. The books can be read as standalone. This book is about Holly and Patrick, who meet when Holly is working as a dealer at Maxwell’s casino, and Maxwell’s best friend Patrick sits down and plays at Holly’s table. It is instalust for both. This is the start of the sizzling hot relationship between Holly and Patrick, who struggles with how much he should tell Holly about his life, his connection to the mafia, and some other secrets. The story is fast paced, and the author has done a great job creating an interesting plot, characters with depth, and excellent world building. I recommend this book for readers that like short, insta-love, mafia, age-gap, spicy romance stories.

Instant love

The mobster in charge of laundering money falls for a woman the same as his daughter basically.

This was an interesting age gap since his friend has the same gap. I liked how they didn't dell on the whole my wife died thing and I still love her but now I love you.

The handling of how their relationship would work because of his job was nice. It is always good for them to just come out and say it.

Okay yes, this book is sex. A virgin female lead who never even had a boyfriend. The older male lead blows her mind in her sexual awakening.

It was a good quit read as long as you knew it was mostly sex with no real plot, which is what we all need sometimes.

Patrick is alone now that his daughter Jeannie is married to Maxwell his friend. He goes to the casino to work by playing blackjack. He meets a new beautiful young woman . He plays at her table. They find they have common interests such as reading and the desire to travel. Patrick has to come to terms with himself that she is young enough to be his daughter. plus he feels like he needs to discuss his line of work with her so she can decide if she wants to be involved further with him. He also tells her about his deceased wife. This becomes their love story and HEA. it is a quick sexy age gap story .

This novella is part of a series but could be read by itself. Cute insta lust story with an instant connection between the MC's. It progresses very fast which seems normal for novellas. I loved the way the author used words to set the scenes!
For having a virgin trope, that issue wasn't played up at all.
Only thing I took issue with was there wasn't much storyline. Especially for being a Mafia story I was expecting a hint of danger and it wasn't there. The only conflict was whether she would accept that he was in the Mafia.

Big Filthy Mobster is Book 6 of the Cherrywood Village series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, opposites-attract, virgin gets her silver fox romance. Holly is a 22 year old virgin and new dealer at the local casino. Patrick is a hunky silver fox widower who works for the Russian Mafia. When he meets Holly at the casino, he is immediately drawn to her. She feels the same pull. But he's nervous about their age gap and how she'll react to his line of work. This couple had insane chemistry, and the ending was happy after a little bit of angst.

Patrick is attracted to Holly, a Blackjack dealer at the casino but is she too young for him as she is nearer his daughter's age? Holly seems interested in him and agrees on a date. But due to his past and what he still does when required, will Holly still want to have anything to do with him?

A quick novella, with the older man falling for the younger woman. Both feel the pull, both are drawn to each other. Their feelings quickly to love with a HEA.

mafia romance.
Holly is a young woman who flees New York and a complicated family. She moves to a small village and works in a casino. Life is rather calm until she meets Patrick, for whom she has a crush.
Patrick has a complicated past between his wife's death and his work for the mafia. But he completely falls for young Holly.
Will Patrick confess his feelings for Holly and will Holly accept him, aside from the secrets and the risks that he accompanies her...

I’m loving this series. I love how the authors interconnect the stories too. Patrick goes to the casino and sees Holly, a new blackjack dealer. Patrick sits at her table and starts talking to her. It’s instalove for Patrick and Holly. She’s his daughter’s age but that doesn’t stop him. But what will Holly do when she finds out he works with the Russian Mafia. This is a sweet and steamy love story. I loved how Patrick and Molly both decided they were worth working together to be happy. Great storyline.

“Big Filthy Mobster” is a standalone from the series (Cherrywood Village Book 6 of 8).
Holly, our MFC has lived her life orderly and precise. She thought she knew what she wanted out of life, until Patrick.
When Patrick, our MMC comes to town she is thrown into doubt. Both being drawn to the other.
Patrick gives the vibes of danger and being distant. And she helpless to resist him.
But will the secrets and quilt destroy anything they could build together?
Not to worry, after it all there is a happy ending.😁.

Holly, a new black jack dealer, meets Patrick, a part of the mafia and a widower, in the casino he often uses to launder money. The attraction is instant, but as is the guilt because of his still there feelings for his wife. They have to navigate a few hardships, but they get to there happy ending.
First of all I never read a book, in which the FMC is a black jack dealer and that is so cool and different.
Second as always Lizzy creates a story with a beautiful age gap couple, steam, love and many emotions.

This is the story of Patrick who is in the mafia and Holly who works in the casino as the new blackjack dealer. Patrick uses the casino to launder money, from the moment they meet there is a connection and an attraction, he does not really want to give in to it because he still has feelings of guilt after the passing of his wife. Will they have a chance together or is the fact that he still has feelings for his deceased wife what stands in the way of a new chance at love?

This was a fun follow up to Big Bold Gambler as we get Patrick, Jeannie's father's story. He's found himself riveted at his first sight of Holly, a dealer at Max's casino. She's equally smitten but she's so innocent she's not sure what to do about it ;) Patrick, after some angst and advice from Max, knows he can't let Holly slip through his grasp... I love that these two did take time before coming together, and that they had full disclosure of their pasts. This made them an unbeatable couple, fully bonded by love. So fun and I loved the epilogue showcasing their hot HEA ;D

Patrick is keeping an eye on things at the casino while is best friend is on his honeymoon with his daughter. He finds that his normal dealer is off and there is someone in his place. There is something about her that has him talking to her more than normal.

After tracking her down in the breakroom he asks her out. He knows he needs to come clean about his involvement but he does not want to chase her off. Knowing her past is he ready to ask her to take a leap?.

This is book 6 of Cherrywood Village. A great age gap story that pulls you into the story and you can't put it down till the end. Patrick works for the mafia. He meets Holly at a casino where he launders money. They’re immediately attracted to each other and start to date. He lets her know what he does, and I really liked the honesty and the straightforwardness on Patrick's part. Chemistry and steam. You will love it and the whole series.

Big Filthy Mobster is short and sexy. Money man Patrick is on the fringes of a dangerous lifestyle, having been alone for a long time. As a single father to an adult daughter, he has been focused…until Holly. Young and sweet, Holly has overcome her own life challenges and relocated for something better. I love how the sparks fly between these two, how Maxwell helps Patrick gain perspective, and how Holly is always given a choice. The restaurant scene is spicy, and the love between these two is beautiful.

I personally found Patrick and Holly's book to be kind of boring. Plus there was inconsistencies. Holly stated that she kissed a boy in Middle School yet when Patrick asked her if she'd ever been kissed she said no. When he met up with her in the break room he told her that he was friends with Maxwell when she worried about him getting in trouble. But then in the same chapter he says he doesn't know if he wants to tell her that he's friends with maxwell.

There was nothing big or filthy about this mobster - who didn't even WANT to be a mobster anymore?? I was pretty disappointed by this book, to be honest. I had expected something more explosive, some more chemistry, some more drama and romance, but this book lacked in those departments. I would recommend this book to readers who want to dip their toes into an age gap/mafia romance but don't want to get too invested in anything.

Big Filthy Mobster is book six of the Cherrywood Village Series.

This book shows the importance of communication. Patrick deals with some shady things and knows how he feels about Holly. He wants to be with her but he knows he has to confess everything to her before they can fully be together. This was refreshing to see two people being open and honest before fully delving into a relationship together. They started out healthy and will end with a lasting relationship.
