Have you been reading the Bride Ships: New Voyages series? Are you ready for this fourth book? I loved every minute of reading it. So much so that I couldn't put it down. Especially because of several of the tropes within the book. A commoner and a Prince. Amnesia. Those are just two, but some of my favorites. I'm a goner for royalty love stories. And second chances. Yep, loved this one with those tropes that were well done.

If you've been reading the previous books then you'll recognize Juliet. If you haven't been reading the previous books, I will say that they do build some of the storyline but the authors do a great job of giving the information you need if you haven't read the previous books. Either way, I think you'll really enjoy this one! I know I did.

Both Juliet and Henry have loses in their family and that causes some struggles for them. I liked how they were written for processing that.

And the amnesia aspect. Loved it!!! I always feel like that really helps the character who has amnesia to be given a second chance and gives them the opportunity to evaluate who they are and how they act and observe those around them and think about how they treat people. I loved watching Henry's goodness. He was a great character before the amnesia but it just helped him in his perspective a little more. Which he definitely will need when he gets his memories back and all that is waiting for him.

The "Sisters" are such delightful characters. Juliet becomes employed by them and they agree to have Henry stay with them when he was discovered by Juliet and hurt. They are the best! They added some levity and comedy but goodness and love to the story as well. I just loved their characters. Great addition for the book and as a place for Juliet and Henry to meet and get to know each other. Loved it!

I loved watching Juliet and Henry's love story unfold. They are just honestly so adorable together. They both have their hesitations but I loved how they worked through those or how the storyline led them along to do so. Well done!!!

And that ending. *Happy Sigh* It was perfection!!! But I was a little sad if it means this is the end of this series. But I guess if it is, we can still go back and enjoy these books again because they are wonderful! I just love this group of friends who came on the Bride Ship! I hope you do as well.

Content: Clean. Some kisses but nothing further. Some minor attempts at blackmail by a secondary character. A kidnapping attempt.

I received a copy from the author/publisher. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

His Unforgettable Bride is a sweet ending to a lovely series! Patti Stockdale and Jody Hedlund delivered great additions to Hedlund’s original Bride Ships series, one of my favorites of hers.

To be totally honest, I usually don’t like the amnesia trope, but I think it worked well in this story. I enjoyed the cameos by some past characters and also meeting some great new ones. I wanted a bit more at the ending, but the story is still complete and satisfying. If you enjoy historical romance, add His Unforgettable Bride to your TBR! 4/5 stars

“Once upon a time, a scrappy orphan and a rebellious prince fell in love and lived happily ever after.”

This story was so sweet: amnesia, forced proximity, a prince and a pauper, and a little suspense too!

Juliet is a servant and a former thief, while Henry has amnesia and doesn’t even remember his own name...or that he’s a prince! When their paths cross, they can’t help but fall for each other. But with Juliet’s past as a thief and the threats from a former roommate, she doesn’t know what her future will look like. Henry is falling for Juliet, and more than anything, he wants a future with her. But with him not even knowing who he is, what can he offer her? And when the truth comes out, what will happen to them, given their very different lives?

This story was really good. It took me about the first 20% to really get hooked, but as Henry (called Gray) spent more time with Juliet, their chemistry kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen next. Add in the suspense from Juliet’s former roommate, and it made for a great read. I gave this one 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. This review reflects my honest opinion.

Some quotes to share:
After tripping over him in the woods, she’d kept falling for his charm every day since.

“Kissing you made me forget everything but you, even my name.” He smiled. “I suppose that is a falsehood. I have not known my name for weeks.”

How did a man without a past make his way into the future? Stumbling, no doubt.

I do not know if I can ask any woman to be a part of my life when I have nothing but who I am here and now to give her.”

“What if a woman didn’t care about anything except who you are here and now?”

“I love you unconditionally and to a dizzying degree.” His lips trembled as sincerity filled his warm eyes, giving her hope they’d find a way to piece together their vastly different lives. “I am lightheaded with love myself.” “Then it’s good we’re sitting down.”

Such a great ending to the series! I just loved Juliet and how she was so humble and tried her best at everything. Juliet also tried to think of others before herself. Juliet had such a great attitude and a desire to better herself. It was so much fun that she continued her relationship with the women from the bride ship.

Henry/Gray struggled against his circumstances but his demeanor wasn't altered.

Livvy and Tabitha were such gracious hosts despite their strictness. I enjoyed how they opened up their home to complete strangers.

Thanks to the publisher and justreads for the arc. The opinions are my own.

An orphan turned servant and a prince with Amnesia, this story has a bit of the feel of a western-fairytale (aka the prince and the pauper). Both main characters had past struggles that they are trying to overcome. And their unexpected experience of being thrown together causes them to learn to lean on each other for support.. Although the fourth in a series and best read in order, the novel can be read as a stand alone. A beautiful and sweet story of hardship and love.

Delightful story with a fairytale ending! Full disclosure- I have not read any of the books in this series, but that did not keep from thoroughly enjoying this delightful story with elements of a fairytale woven throughout. When a prince and pauper are thrown together, one can't but hope for a happy-ever-after ending.

I was immediately drawn by the description of a series revolving around the individual stories of young women who traveled on a bride ship looking for a new beginning on the frontier of British Columbia. One of these women, Juliet, hopes to escape an unsavory past, looking for a bright future. As Juliet begins a new job as a servant, she stumbles upon the battered body of a young man. With the help of her employers, she provides much needed aid to the injured prince, who is suffering from a severe case of amnesia. As they seek answers to Henry's (Gray) identity, they realize that danger is still shadowing Juliet as well.

I love watching their romance unfold, a slow burn romance that developed gradually as each had to overcome insecurities.Their individual journeys of faith and personal growth are encouraged by the delightful cast of secondary characters, who lent their wisdom and support to Juliet and Henry who were both lost and floundering in their individual ways. I think the thing I loved most about this story was the way Henry's character grew during the time he suffered from amnesia.

This story is a wonderful blend of historical fiction, suspense, romance and a sweet faith thread. It will keep readers entertained from the first to the last page. Perfect for a quick weekend read.

A mystery and suspense filled read to keep you up at night!

The deeper I got into the story the more I kept asking, “How will they solve it? How will they get their HEA?” The biggest mystery to me was how would Juliet figure out where the jewels were? Having read His Perfect Bride I already knew where the jewels were. Then at the end you have a bigger mystery in the obstacle of Gray’s betrothal. Of course it all works out in the end!

I loved the elements of faith, and the wide romance for Livy and Cy in this book. Another sweet, clean read from Jody and Patti!

Thank you for the chance to read and review early!

“While everyone may benefit from polishing in one form or fashion, let us not forget that Juliet has value as she is. If she had not stumbled over me in the woods, I may have died.”

What happens when an orphan with a past saves the life of a prince with amnesia? Fireworks! This is such a wonderful story with lots of danger, threats, etiquette lessons, friendship, love, suspense, and memories finally returned.
Juliet was compassionate and hopeful. She had to learn to forgive herself and trust that God was giving her a new family. Henry was kind and witty. While he struggled to remember who he was he learned patience and to trust that God made him who he was meant to be. What a spectacular happily ever after (that last chapter 🫠)!!
I absolutely loved the sisters, especially Tabitha! And Dobbin, though we don’t get much of him.

A few more quotes:
“Holding hands… for safety’s sake might be helpful.” She glanced down at where his fingers encircled hers. His skin was soft, cool, a perfect fit. “For safety, huh?” “Precisely.” Under the canopy of thick brush, his eyes seemed to challenge her, daring her not to pull away. “It is quite dangerous here.”

I’d risk everything to spend the rest of my life with Henry.

“I am beyond excited to wed you finally.” “Finally? We haven’t even known each other for a year.” “But I have waited for you my entire life.”

There are a lot of romance books with the amnesia trope, but I think this is the first one I have read where the male has amnesia. And wow! It was incredible. I really loved the story of a servant girl learning how to become a lady and falling in love while serving her female employers nephew in the process.

Favorite quotes:

“Until my amnesia abates, I am stuck as well, trapped between the past and present. Maybe I shall dwell there forever.”

“You kissed me. Twice.” He softly smiled. “And desired to kiss you two dozen times, or more accurately, two hundred.”

Overall, this is a fantastic read. I would feel comfortable giving this to a teenage daughter to read. The romance is sweet, and kept to kisses only. Thank you to the publisher for the advance copy of this book. A review was not required.

This was a nice Christian historical romance that ends the questions from the last book on the neighbor’s servant who was stealing jewels. Because of that, there is a thread of suspense/danger. This book takes place in the 1860s in Canada. Our heroine arrived awhile ago on a bride ship and our hero, a Prince, has docked from touring the world. After receiving bad news, Henry is a victim of some nefarious blokes and loses his memory. When Juliet finds him, she takes him to her employers and they nurse him back to health. This is a secret identity, forced proximity, class differences, opposites attract romance. There were good characters and situations. A few different side threads that were interesting. This was my first read by Patti. This is my second book in this Bride Ships series. This is a just kisses romance.

I received an eARC of this book via Just Read Tours and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

His Unforgettable Bride was a great story for those who love stories with a prince and a pauper, amnesia, kidnappings, blackmail, etiquette lessons, and a beautiful setting. This Bride Ships: New Voyages book started off with the stolen jewels from the last book. This element kept the tension high throughout the story. The potential danger was always pressing in around Juliet, and this really challenged her and helped her to grow. Juliet was a likeable character. She was always working to do better than her past mistakes. I didn't catch on to her unladylike behavior in the first chapter. It came out more in later chapters, especially in contrast to the sisters. Henry was a flirtatious and entertaining love interest even with his amnesia. He also had great growth and learned some good perspective by the end of the book. It was nice to see all the ladies from this series together again at the end. There was a very sweet ending that showed us what it truly means to take a chance on love and find your happily ever after. I received an advanced reader copy from the author. His Unforgettable Bride is book four of the Bride Ships: New Voyages series. Even though I haven't read any of the previous books, I was able to enjoy this one. I was drawn in from the very beginning, and couldn't put it down until I finished...even reading late into the night.

It's a delightful story, with a fairytale ending, full of character growth for both Juliet and Henry/Gray, as well as their relationship with each other.

Before even beginning reading, I was totally captivated by the cover. It's stunning!

If you enjoy Christian historical fiction with a touch of romance, you'll want to add this to your TBR list.

I received a complimentary copy. These opinions are my own.

"Snakes alive!" this is a good book! It had so many underlying elements that I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it - mystery, bride ship, royalty, and amnesia. Very well crafted together authors! This is the last book in the Bride Shipes: New Voyages series. You can read it on it's own, but I would HIGHLY reocmmend reading the earlier books. Previous characters are mentioned and the ladies do make a brief appearance. I fell in the love with the main characters as well as the side characters. I would gladly come back and visit. Or continue the journey overseas to the royal island! Looking forward to hearing what comes next for Jody Hedlund and Patti Stockdale.

I think of two things:
The pauper and the prince

and

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners,
Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

I am not super fond of amnesia plots, they make me anxious ...really!
However, I did love this novel..... even so.

I thought the sexual content was a 'wee, tiny' bit, much...
It was clean for sure,
just maybe too much admiring muscles, and figures!

I love the two sisters.

And I do wish there had been more closure on the villainess
The two main characters, did have compassion for her,
and did what they could to help her materially,
as she paid for her crimes in prison....

But I would have loved it even better,
if they had gone to her in prison,
been able to present the gospel message,
and have her become a believer in Jesus and be saved.

Still, the witty remarks were great fun etc.
And there was some Bible verses,
and an old fashion etiquette book, which was a hoot!

Jody Hedlund and Patti Stockdale delivered an absolutely delightful read! I devoured this in one sitting, completely captivated by the amnesia trope (which has quickly become a favorite of mine) and the charming commoner-prince dynamic. Henry’s journey, from lost memory to self-discovery, was beautifully written, and Juliet’s resilience made her such a lovable heroine.

I adored the Sisters Juliet works for—they added humor, heart, and the perfect backdrop for this slow-burn romance to unfold. The mix of rags-to-riches, found family, and fairy-tale elements was so well done! And that ending? Perfection! I was squealing and grinning the whole time.

This book had everything I love—romance, historical fiction, suspense, and deep character growth. Now I need to go back and read the rest of the series!

I really enjoy these bride ship novels. Juliet has had a rough life, and it seems trouble always finds her. When her roommate accuses her of stealing from their employer, she once again finds herself on her own and wondering how she will ever get a better life for herself. She once again does find employment with two sisters, although used to being completely invisible and always doing as told, these two are very different. They treat her like an equal, give her a bedroom, clothing and ask for her to eat meals with them. But she for sure feels she will get fired once the bird gets out of the house, on the hunt for it, she stumbles across an unconscious, severely injured man. With the help of the cook and the two sisters they get him back to the house and work to nurse him back to health. As this man regain consciousness, he has no idea who he is and how he got to where he was found. Doing what he can around the house to help, while he tries to regain his memory he often flirts with Juliet. But Juliet quite innocent herself isn't sure what to make of things. She thinks she has feelings for him as well, and he is so kind to always help her. He is also a good listener. But when someone from Juliet's past comes knocking she knows trouble has finally found her again and a shocking truth of just who Gray really is comes to light. I loved the characters and this storyline. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

Juliet was such a sweet character. I loved how much she wanted to help and how giving she was; at times she did seem naive, but then I remembered she was only 19 and her actions seemed more realistic for her age. Henry was definitely my favorite (prince or no!) I loved how his character learned and grew throughout the book and how he pursued Juliet.

I do feel like the ending was rushed a bit, but overall I enjoyed the story! It felt a little like a historical Hallmark movie honestly!

This is the fourth in the series, but I had not read the ones previously and while some characters were mentioned I didn't feel as if I had to have read the others first.

Bride ships

I enjoyed reading this book and seeing Juliet get her happily ever after. It was fun to see some of the characters that we met in the previous books in the series and see where they were now. Livy and Tabitha were fun and quirky characters that added interest to the story. I liked Juliet and her straightforwardness but also her desire to learn new things. It was interesting seeing Henry discover himself when he didn't even know who he was. There is a nice biblical faith element woven through the story and the characters learned lessons and grew and changed. I look forward to reading more books by Patti Stockdale.

The Unforgettable Bride is the fourth romantic adventure in The Bride Ships: New Voyages series by Jody Hedlund. The Unforgettable Bride, co-authored by Patti Stockdale, can be read as a standalone. However, reading the first three books in the series provides an opportunity to know some of the characters and explore the Vancouver 1860s setting. This Christian page turner with echoes of Cinderella is the story of Juliet Dash, who is looking for work and stability, and Prince Henry Graighton, a prince with amnesia, who find each other and unforgettable friends along the way as they try to determine Gray/Henry’s true identity.
In The Unforgettable Bride, Hedlund and Stockton once again find the right balance of story driven by quickly moving plot and memorable characters. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy romance, historical fiction, or other books by Hedlund. Thank you to Book Funnel, the author, and the publisher for my review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

A sweet ending to the Bride ship series. I loved getting to read Juliet’s happily ever after and in great fashion hers ends royally well!
Although this is a part of a series, the Authors did a great job at retelling Juliet’s history without feeling redundant. This could be read as a stand alone but why miss the first 3 when they are all equally great!
I love seeing Juliet’s character and want to be better shine through in the story. She has a heart of gold and when she helps others she makes a great impact on their lives. When she rescued Henry, it turned out for the best in the sweetest way.
I did struggle with the amnesia part of the story, but I do think it helped pull the story along, and tied in the drama that pushed some of the plot along.
Henry had a great arc and I think the amnesia helped him change to be the man that he had the potential to be all along, even if the amnesia wasn’t my favorite.
If you love rags to riches, secret prince, and over coming hardship, this is a perfect story for you!

Thank you to Sunrise Publishing for the ARC of His Unforgettable Bride by Jody Hedlund and Patti Stockdale. All opinions are my own.

This was such a sweet book overall. I’ve enjoyed each of the books in this series so far, and I loved getting to see some of the characters from other books in this series make an appearance in this story. Although part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone.

The characters is this book were very sweet for the most part. I liked both Henry/Gray and Juliet. Henry was charming, and Juliet spoke her mind. I liked how they complemented each other. The sisters were very nice on one hand, but I didn’t like how they kept trying to make Juliet more “proper.”

I enjoyed how the amnesia trope was used in this story, and how the identity reveal was done. I thought the characters’ reactions made sense, and I really felt for Henry because of all the conflicting feelings he had about his own identity.

Overall, I enjoyed this story and would recommend it.

I received an ARC copy of this book.

A nice ending for this Bride Ship series. Checkered pasts and uncertain futures brings Juliet and Henry together. This story is full of second chances and kindness guiding the way to their happily ever after. Can they both overcome a sordid past and amnesia to forge a bond together? I love the characters of this book. Tabitha and Livy, the sweet sisters that give Juliet her second chance and welcome her to their family without hesitation. Dobbin who is loyal to Henry in every aspect of the word. I enjoyed this book and am reminded of how much God loves me and how He gives me second chances!

His Unforgettable Bride is the second book I have read written by Patti Stockdale. I loved the Cinderella, Prince to Paupers story vibes with a mix of amnesia mixed in. It made for a really intriguing story. I really enjoyed getting to meet up with the other characters from the bride-ship stories.

The character development was great. Juliet has come a long way and worked hard to try and reform her life. When she finally landed this new job working with the sisters to get their tea house running, I was totally invested and rooting for her. Henry/Gray had a lot of things he was working through, as well as trying to gain his memories.

The storyline was great. I loved trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Trying to figure out if Henry/Gray would regain memory.

The romance was sweet and perfect. It was low spice and closed door. I loved the falling in love while trying to figure out their own lives and see if they could have a future together.

Patti did an excellent job intertwining faith throughout and pointing the reader back to God.

His Unforgettable Bride is an engaging, satisfying conclusion to the wonderful Bride Ships: New Voyages series. The series, set in the mid 1860s, follows the lives of four women—Willow, Daisy, Sage, and Juliet—who have traveled by ship from England to British Columbia to find a fresh start. This is Juliet’s touching story. The well-paced plot, with Cinderella vibes, drew me in immediately and kept me reading attentively to the end. A well-crafted, engaging cast of characters advance the story forward compelling me to connect with them emotionally and become invested in their lives and the outcome of their story. I love Juliet and Henry, and they easily made my list of favorite fictional couples. I totally enjoyed the delightful, endearing Sherwood sisters Livy and Tabitha as they took it upon themselves to teach Juliet, a feisty orphan, ladylike behavior. Juliet and Henry’s romantic relationship develops slowly and sweetly but not without obstacles. I totally enjoyed this book and highly recommend it and the series. Note: Each book in the series can easily be read as a standalone.

I’m honestly not sure why the publishers had a co-author added in for two of these books in the second bride ship series. In my opinion, it was really obvious that Jody Hedlund did not write Juliet or Daisy’s stories. With both of them, the overall feeling of the book was just off, along with the writing style.

For Juliet’s book in particular, I was disappointed that Jody Hedlund didn’t write the final book in the entire series. This one was hard for me to get through. The characters lacked depth and maybe the entire story just seemed too far-fetched compared to some of the first books in the first series that were actually rooted in historical facts. This book also seemed like it was trying too hard to get all of the witty sayings or religious tidbits woven into the story, so it often seemed awkward or forced instead of being woven in seamlessly like some of the other books.

For the most part, this book wrapped up everything in this series. However, the second/bonus epilogue left one thing unanswered that I would still like to know: what happened to Willow and Sage’s dad?

While I did receive this book as an ARC, the review below reflects my own opinion.

Juliet is used to her fair share of hardship. After losing her parents as a toddler and then losing the grandfather who raised her at only eight she's used to her fair share of hardships to bear. Even if her means of survival at times have led to some questionable actions. After departing the Bride Ship that brought her to her new home she's determined to leave her past, including her former thieving ways, behind her. She was fortunate enough to obtain a good job as a servant for a wealthy family, but all of that changed after a choice she made to confront the thieving ways of another servant. After some help from a friend, she is able to start a new job as a servant for wealthy sisters who are attempting to soon start up their new tea room business. After a rough start to her first day, she stumbles upon a man unconscious and injured in the woods. As she and her employers help to nurse him back to health they come to realize that the man is suffering from amnesia and has lost all of his memories up until the point he awoke in the sisters' home.

Henry is a prince who has recently become heir to the throne after the unexpected passing of his older brother. When he is kidnapped while out on the beach mourning the loss of his brother he knows that he must do everything he can to escape. While Henry is able to escape from his kidnappers, the ordeal and blows to the head he received has caused him to lose his memories and made him unable to recall his identity. Saved and tended to by the kindness of strangers who believe he is their long awaited for nephew returning to help them with their tea room, Henry struggles to grasp who he is without his memories and any clues leading to his identity. After time passes and no recollection of who he is, Henry begins to believe he may just be the "Gray" (the sisters' nephew) that the one sister believes him to be. When he and Juliet strike up a friendship as she cares for his recovery, the chemistry between them begins to fly. Just when the two begin to think they might have a future together, an unexpected return from someone in Juliet's past along with the sudden return of Henry's memories may cause an impossible divide between Juliet and Henry. Can the two overcome their differences and push beyond their pasts to forge a future together? Be sure to read His Unforgettable Bride to find out! You will not be disappointed!

“After tripping over him in the woods, she'd kept falling for his charm every day since.”

His Unforgettable Bride is a wonderfully worthy addition to Jody Hedlund’s Bride Ships universe. Patti Stockdale shines in creating unforgettable characters and memorable storylines!

Juliet’s character is an absolute delight. Even though this story is written in third person, her witty voice is just so present everywhere (like in the quote above). Patti Stockdale does an amazing job bringing both Juliet and Henry alive in this story. I enjoyed every conversation and every interaction. And not just Juliet and Henry, but the whole cast! The sisters are a hoot and their little misfit family was joy on the pages.

This love story is a bit of a Cinderella tale. Juliet has the good luck to land a job working for two older sisters who intend to teach her everything about etiquette that she’d never had a chance to learn growing up as a poor orphan. On her very first day in their home, she rescues a man who has been attacked and can’t remember who he is… but as Juliet and Gray quickly become fast friends, she has no idea how much her world is going to shift when he remembers his true identity!

Diving a little deeper, I just loved the message in this story that our identity is not in our history or circumstances but in our character, and where we place our faith. I liked how Henry/Gray wished most for Juliet to see herself how he saw her- beautiful and valuable- flaws and all. And when he remembers that he is Henry, how much it spoke of his character that he didn’t care one bit that Juliet wasn’t his “equal.”

I’ve been looking forward to Juliet’s story and this conclusion of the Bride Ships: New Voyages series for so long! I finished the last page with the happiest sigh because it was well worth the wait.

Contains these tropes:
* Rags to Riches
* Fish Out of Water
* Amnesia
* Orphan
* Fairytale
* Secret Prince
* Class Difference

Romance- kisses only, thinking about one another romantically. On the Jody Hedlund scale of sweet sizzle, this is on the lower end.

Triggers: physical abuse mentioned in Juliet’s past and in another character’s present (only evidence shown). Some violence- nothing too graphic. Loss of brother/parent(s).

I received a complementary copy of this book from the author and Sunrise Publishing. I was not asked to leave a positive review. My opinions are my own.

A prince with amnesia, a reformed thief, two delightful biddies determined to help, & the lush setting of British Columbia made this historical Cinderella-like fairytale an absolute delight! I’ve loved this Bride Ships: New Voyages series, & His Unforgettable Bride marks the fantastic finale. It’s a heartfelt, witty, romantic tale with plenty of surprises along the way!

Orphaned, former pickpocket Juliet Dash voyaged on a bride ship to British Columbia determined to make a new start. But, after being falsely accused, she despairs her dreams will ever come true. Two local society sisters take her under their wing & offer her etiquette lessons. When Juliet finds an injured, unconscious man in the woods, she finds herself falling for the stranger who can’t remember his name let alone how he came to be wounded.

Prince Henry Graighton wants to escape the shackles of royal life, but when his brother suddenly dies, he becomes the heir apparent. Before he can return home, he’s kidnapped & severely injured as he tries to escape. When Juliet finds him, he can’t remember anything. As Juliet helps him regain his strength, he assumes the identity of Gray & learns to be a humble carpenter. But, when the past comes back to haunt them both, will Gray/Henry give up all he’s come to love & cherish?

I adored this story! There were so many nods to favorite fairytales in this lovely historical romance. I enjoyed Juliet’s rise from an Eliza Doolittle like character to a more genteel young woman. Her delightful way of expressing herself was so charming. I enjoyed her relationship with Gray/Henry & the natural progression from friendship to love. I loved their witty flirtations, the dances, & that first kiss…sigh.

Henry’s a charmer! I loved seeing his growth as he spends time with Juliet & the sisters. He transforms from a spoiled prince to a worthy ruler. The twists in this story kept me anxiously turning the pages, especially when Henry begins to remember.

Highly recommend this book & the entire series! Don’t miss the darling bonus epilogue. I received an advanced complimentary copy from the authors, but also purchased a copy through Kindle Unlimited. All opinions are my own & voluntarily provided.

I love these types of novels. They’re historical fiction at its finest. You’ve got a woman who longs for a better life, and she’s getting it! And then there’s a man. Well, he’s actually a prince and now the heir, but when she meets him, he’s a nobody without a name or a memory.

Maybe I should back up and say that this is book four in a series. While you don’t necessarily have to read them in order, I always recommend you do. A series is written in a specific order for a reason so who are we to question and read them out of order or skip books altogether.

This definitely has some of the classic plots or tropes if you will. Royalty falling in love with a commoner. Amnesia. Orphan to royalty. I could keep going. But it’s so good. The book is so well written that you don’t even really realize that they’re themed that some might consider overdone.

I love that this is a romance novel, but some suspense sneaks it’s way in. I’m a huge lover of suspense. There are times I just can’t get into a strictly romance novel, so that little bit of suspense really helps to drive the book for me.

Juliet is adorable. I love watching her overcome and rise above. And the two sisters she works for! I want them in my life. You’re going to love all the characters and watching them grow and change for the better throughout the book.
