Profusely researched history of the Seaboard Air Line Railway, now part of CSX Transportation. Not as detailed, perhaps, as one could hope for, but a fairly detailed history of the road and it's predecessor lines.

A good book on the Seaboard Air Line with lots of great photos. Unfortunately it says nothing at al about the Seaboard in South Carolina and doesn't venture into the diesel age at all. But, as far as it goes in both scope and time, it is a great book.
