This was an enjoyable quick read. We follow Jayla & Keenan dual POV.
Jayla is tired of working her low paying job at a fast food restaurant. She's tired
of the miserable customers who always want something or always have something
to say. One day, while she's working, she witnesses something very traumatic. She's fed up
of how the company treats their employees and just wants out. Unfortunately, she can not just
pick up and leave as she has a son to take care of and a baby daddy who is always spending
money like he doesn't have any responsibilities.
Keenan wants the best for his family he tries to provide as much as he can, but unfortunately
sometimes, his head is in the clouds. Keenan has a plan to get his family out of the hood
and somewhere where they can be happy, unfortunately things don't go the way he plans.
This book will leave you in a cliffhanger, so prepare yourself for book 2

3.5 stars! The cliffhanger didn’t really make me want to keep going🫣 but since it’s a shorter book I may go ahead and read.
