Rafe and Ana are trying every day to move forward, to plan for their future and the future of the kingdom they both swore to protect. Threats continue to loom in the shadows, and while Ana works to keep them at bay, her own painful past threatens to destroy her from within.
With Rafe by her side, she is determined to face whatever challenges lay ahead. For she knows she is not only fighting her past but fighting for the future she and her people rightfully deserve.
What follows is internal struggles, assassins, healing from emotional trauma, and more.
The Courtship Saga deals SA, trauma, assassins, war, and other serious topics. Each book is an interconnected book, and they should be read in order.
A.R. Kaufer has dreamed of becoming a published author for as long as she can remember. She is a DV and SA survivor, and champions for mental health services for those in need. She lives in Indiana with her wonderful husband and furbabies. When she's not reading or writing, she enjoys playing video games, watching movies, and going for walks in the woods around her home.
She is currently working on an eight book fantasy series, The Courtship Saga, with the first seven books available now.
She also has a Beauty and the Beast retelling, Kingdom of Forgotten Curses. And she released her first novella, The Sword in the Roses, which released at #8 on Amazon's best-seller list!
Court of Lies & Cinder, a dark Cinderella retelling with wolf shifters, is available now!
Her latest release is a Rapunzel retelling. Tower of the Lost Princess, available now!
Coming this fall, she has a Sleeping Beauty retelling, Castle of Broken Dreams!
Kaufer does it again! This series is very character driven, and the emotions roll off the page with ease. Her characters, though in a fantasy setting, seem so real. This was a beautiful and emotional story, as we see Ana trying to overcome so much horror and trauma. Her story is beautifully written, and she and Rafe are two of the best characters I've ever read. Watching as they work together to overcome pain, trauma, and fear while battling assassins, trying to plan for Kara and Evren's wedding, and knowing a coronation is approaching, they must face everything together. Rafe is the ideal book boyfriend, reassuring Ana not only of how beautiful she is on the outside, but how beautiful her heart and soul are, too. I cannot recommend this series enough!
I am always so excited when I see there’s another book in the Courtship Saga out! Rafe and Ana are two characters that have really stuck with me for the way that Rafe so fiercely guards Ana and protects her and helps her deal with the trauma that she has gone through. In this book, Ana continues to work on her flying while she and Rafe prepare for their upcoming wedding. As the future queen, she’s in constant danger, though this is interspersed with soft, affectionate moments with Rafe, lovely, swirly dresses, and moments with their close friends Kara and Evren. Love this series and can’t wait to see what is in store for Rafe and Ana next! 5/5 stars.
