Deep beneath the crystal waters of the Caribbean, off the coast of Honduras, lies a dead Russian nuclear submarine. Its cargo, a long-forgotten doomsday Mirotvorets. Peacemaker.
The final test took place in a secret city deep in the Russian interior. The results delighted the politicians, stunned the generals and horrified the scientists.
Though submerged for decades, Peacemaker is still viable. Now a tech billionaire has caught wind of the device and wants it for himself.
Far from his old life as an off-books government assassin, Gabriel Wolfe tends his farm. Until one night, armed men arrive in SUVs and attack without mercy. They have reckoned without Wolfe’s unique mix of skills, honed in his years in British Special Forces and as a member of The Department.
Wolfe knows the attack can’t be an isolated incident. A lawyer has been offering his neighbours immense sums of money to sell up and move inland, away from the coast. He follows the only survivor of the death squad to his employer. A shady fixer in San Pedro Sula, Honduras’ second, and most violent, city.
What he discovers there will take him into the heart of darkness. With the world’s peace and security at stake, Wolfe has no option. It’s time to go back to war.

Peacemaker by Andy Maslen is book 15 in the Gabriel Wolfe series. This time Gabriel is living out his life in a small village by the sea in Honduras after the death of his wife. It will be interrupted by a tech billionaire who is determined to trace the Peacemaker device lost in a submarine off the coast of Honduras where Gabriel is living. The Peacemaker will revolutionise war and stop countries instigating conflict for ever. The only problem is the billionaire has the means and the ability to raise the Peacemaker from the submerged submarine and enrols Gabriel to help him, whether he wants to or not. An interesting and bloody story with many casualties and the death of old friends and his sister makes an appearance. Highly recommended

With a storyline so well crafted, an exceptional cast of characters and non stop action you won’t be able to put this book down !

One of the best I’ve read by author Maslen. And, while it flowed together it provided almost three suspenseful themes which came together individually and at the end. Sprinkled throughout all of these were memories from several of Gabrial’s past titles as reminders of other experiences. His writing remains excellent with twists and turns that make the reader want to finish each book without stopping. Fortunately, I started this on a trip, able to read on each of the five hour plane rides, the end of each evening at my destination along with a Saturday of college football after arriving home. When is his next book out?
After running away because of the murder of his pregnant wife Eli ,Gabriel finds himself in another battle ground fighting to save the village he has grown to love and its inhabitants that have helped to heal him as much as is possible. He finds people he has worked with before to try and stop this mad man who thinks he can stop all wars. This is yet another brilliantly written thriller that you will quite frankly find impossible to put down. I wholeheartedly recommend this book .
This book is full of action, drama, excitement and suspense and I could not put it down! The characters are well developed. Bringing back old friends for the cause. The betrayal and revenge is very potent. I could very easily follow the storyline and characters. I loved the surprise ending and look forward to the next book.
I received this ARC from Andy Maslen in exchange for my honest review.
Sometimes I wish I could find something to criticise in one of Andy Maslen's books, but I can't. In nearly every author I've read there's always something no matter how minor but not in Andy's. It's just not fair. Never in any of my reviews have I ever included a spoiler and I don't intend to start now. Buy this book, enjoy this book, you will not be disappointed.
Mourning the loss of his dear wife Eli, Gabe has taken up farming in a small Honduras village. His peaceful life is interrupted by a lawyer and a thug offering a huge amount of money for his land. It did not go well for them. Next up, 10 mercs assaulted his home. It really didn't go well for them. None of the villagers were willing to sell and now the entire town is endanger of being destroyed and the citizens murdered. All the action you expect from Gabriel Wolfe and then some.
An exciting thriller with a great storyline and an outstanding cast of characters. Gabriel Wolfe has to be at his best to survive his enemies in this thriller. A page turning read with plenty of action and lots of suspense. Very enjoyable book and series that I would highly recommend. Bring on the next Gabriel Wolfe adventure.
Gabriel has now been living a quite life in Honduras for a year. Out of the blue, someone turns up wanting to buy his land...as well as everyone else's.
I wasn't sure where this was heading but thanks ti Andy's great writing and storytelling, the book rattled along at a good pace. Some twists and turns along the way to keep you guessing.
So Good, Gabe now living a life of peace in Honduras. Finds himself and the Villagers he’s come to know as his locals. However. Being Gabriel Wolfe. Things soon disrupt his life. Psychopathic multi millionaire. With an ego so big. He kills if you say No. soon we are pulled into a fast, twisting story of fighting to live.
There's far fetched fantasy and then...there's this Gabriel Wolfe thriller. It's very well written but the plot turns ridiculous. Maybe with the volume turned down a few notches and the evil billionaire more believable it could work. Not for me.
Another Excellent read in the series. Story line and characters strong. Action, twist and turns in the story ever present making it a hard to put down read, I recommend it highly, I enjoyed it so should you
WOW this book is amazing. I actually gasped out loud whilst reading parts of it. I think this is Andy Maslen’s best book yet, mind you I think that about every new book he releases. Action from start to finish with a great cast of characters.
Another ripping story of good against evil, a small village pitted against a deluded billionaire who plans to hold the world to ransom, he didn’t reckon on the one man you don’t pick a fight with, Gabriel Wolfe.
Another great adventure and learning curve for Gabriele. Finally coming to terms with the loss of his wife and child. Realizing that he is who he is and even though the Department maybe gone, there is still evil to deal with. Looking forward for more stories
Having read most of this series, this book was very disappointing. 100 pages too long, way too many kidnaps, escapes and dangers faced, far too tidy a tie up at the end.
Not as good as previous books, a few places that were just missing like not there, to the point you were looking for missing pages but it did spoil it a bit .
