The Alpha's Fated Mate

Rate this book
Aislin

The first thing he did?
Reject me.
The second?
Save me—only to drag me back as his prisoner.

We’ve tried to kill each other.
But every time his gaze locks with mine, I see it—

Not to destroy me.
To own.

Everett

She’s my mate. My trouble.

I rejected her to protect my duty.
But when I saw her bleeding, my wolf shattered.

She’s chaos wrapped in temptation.

I want to crush her defiance.
I want to keep her safe.
I want her…

And that's the problem.

Ok. Not great, not horrible either

I understand that's not much of a recommendation, but when I finished this book I was just "meh." I wasn't screaming in horror but neither was I all emotional or satisfied.

Everett is the very definition of an emotionless alpha just going through the motions of running his pack and the family lumber business. He doesn't put himself "out there," nor does he really put his pack in alliances either. Which is odd, because the packs in this series are incredibly small. Everett has something like a dozen wolves in his pack - and his neighbor Gavin (book #2) has even less. You would think being such small packs would require alliances. So what does the moon goddess award him with? Yep, a loud, obnoxious mate. Who he summarily rejects, and then obsesses over. Although, not in a bad way. But he does come around and decide that he should at least try to get to know Aislin.

This book carries forward the overarching storyline from book #2. (Book #1 doesn't even belong in this series it's so out of place, but I digress) and leads us right into book #3. While I'm not enamored with this series, I don't hate it either. But I would tell you that if you have a lot of books in your TBR pile, you might want to go there first.

confused

The previous book included 3 books which this book was part of it KU didn’t describe it that way. Since I purchased the series before thinking I would get 5 books I feel a little upset. Since it was a duplicate of the included book before. It was a good book about mates, drama, pain, loss and shifters. Unicorns. But if you read the previous book with all three stories of the Gunnison National Park packs you can skip this one since you already read it in the previous book. Not sure why it is packaged that way. Love this author. Hopefully the next two books of this series are not the same.

There’s no continuity between these books, it’s like the author forgot what she wrote in Book 1. Check the highlights.

Like Book 1 the H is a real jerk and the heroine just forgives with no real angst or relationship building.

“Because the fact was, I wouldn’t get my wolf under control until I’d found my fated mate. Catrina and I were having fun, but that was all it was. Somewhere out there was my true fated mate.” Gavin from Book 1

Average at best…

Sorry but this was just average for me, even boring in some places. The arc of the series should have been more interesting to me, but it just wasn’t…

Shifters who have a small pack and can’t really defend themselves. Some crazy guy who wants to use a unicorn horn in a ritual to become Lycan. Dragons that are out of control and support the crazy guy.

It sounded like it would be better than it turned out. This series isn’t doing it for me…

KU read…

Mediocre at best

I don’t know what to say except that I’m not a big fan of any of these characters. One is a door mat who let her fated mate walk all over her, disrespectful toward her, so hurtful toward his fated mate but one look and she’s all in. The men are all arrogant and quite awful to their fated mates but yet when they decide that they want to try and show the smallest ounce of love, it’s like nothing happened. Don’t know just know that I’m not fan.

XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised. A beta and an alpha should not miss. Fate has other plans. The alpha rejects Fates plan. Then can’t stay away. Fate is laughing the entire time.

The Alpha's Fated Mate

I wonder how many more mistakes and lives lost before these alphas get it right. I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm very vested in this series.
