I think the premise was good - a UX/UI graphic designer is bothered by the noise from next door neighbours (but her reaction is a little disturbing). Like, instead of hitting the wall back with a tool, you could have dropped a note or communicated first. Anyway there's no point even if she did, because the girlfriend of her neighbour turns out to be possessed by a demon. The amulet she draws turns out to be effective, as in she has a gift for it. She reaches out to Shaman Sister, a YouTuber about her demon possessed manager, and SS helps to subdue it for a pearl that she can sell for profit. It's here that the story went down. I finished it because I wanted to see what else could happen / how the author can tie up loose ends and the ending was just...... Well, forgettable. She does touch on cyber bullying, cyber stalking, Youtube fame, doxxing, etc. It's because of interesting topics like this that I gave 3 stars, otherwise it would have been a 1. I wonder if something is lost in translation, because this is the 2nd book by this author I've read, and something feels off. Like she's creative but she can't sustain it - how did both books get published with such weak endings?
