contrapasso [con · tra · pas · so]
the punishment of souls by a process either resembling or contrasting with the sin itself.

The first time they meet is in Copenhagen.

Regulus is on holiday, halfway to drunk off his ass in a dingy back alley pub. He’s never believed in love at first sight—in fact, he thinks it’s a rather ridiculous concept—but the first time he catches sight of him across alcohol-sticky floors and air thick with smoke, Regulus might be persuaded to change his mind.

One of the few vampire stories I actually enjoyed, loved seeing the characters in a different setting and their interactions were pure GOLD.

I too would completely upend my life & decide to become immortal if James Potter kept flirting with me like that!

Talk about forbidden! James is a vampire and Regulus is a vampire hunter so in absolutely no world should this relationship even be happening. Except every time Regulus is on a new mission in a new city, he happens to run into James which leads into an explosive (read: HOT) encounter that he can’t get enough of. This was a really fun spicy time with a lot of chemistry and an extremelyyyyyyyyyyy hot James Potter (he’s always hot, but now more than usual). Such a good time!

I had no idea what to expect with this one. But I really wasn't disappointed.

It's well written, an interesting twist on the genre - take a cliché and make it more interesting, kinda twist. Loved the push and pull, the game, and just- the style in general.

Definitely a short and sweet one!

Vampirism will forever and always be sexy 🫶🏻

cute smut, un canon characterisation and the plot ran past regulus being a racist murderer and James did not care loool

4.75 stars 🌟. Damn vampires are hot as fuck, especially when it’s a vampire who has tattoos and a tongue piercing 😋.
