When Sincere came to the realization that he, “f* around and fell in love” I was swooning with stars in my eyes - because he was not looking for a relationship. But with the past that Sincere had with Milani, it was a no-brainer they would eventually end up on the right side of love. Proceed with Kaution was such a beautiful addition to Collierville Heights and I enjoyed every bit of it. I felt every emotion while reading, and was waiting “impatiently” for Milani to rid herself from her biggest headache - Xander.
Milani and Sincere were clearly fighting the same losing battle and knew they wanted more than their situationship. However, I think things progressed in the way they should have for them. Milani needed to deal with her home life and Sincere was patient enough to allow her to do so. Unique was able to portray a romance that was healing, entertaining and engaging. The chemistry between Milani and Sincere was imprinted from the very beginning. Although they didn’t have a title for the longest, there was no confusion on who they belonged to. Of course the drama was piping hot and Xander had one more time to jump silly before Sincere took things to another level. I was so stressed from his character! Overall, this book gave me what I needed and listen, we love a stepdaddy!! Sincere became the family man he was meant to be and showed Milani true love. I loved the way this book turned out.
This was goood! I wasn’t too fond of Sincere in the first book but the wayyy I love him & Milani omg 😩 I just knew things would come together exactly the way they were supposed to! I was actually surprised he fell as hard as he did cuz he was a MESS 😭 but the way he stepped up was EVERYTHING!!! Milani got everything she wanted & needed in Sincere & I loved every minute of it!
Xan…. 😒 I’ve been over him since the first book! Childish & aggravating on every level! His mom was on my last nerve too cuz she knew he was trifling & kept making excuses! Those are Sincere’s kids now 😭
Asya & Daniel as still two of my favs from this series! They’re so cute & supportive!
I want to know more about what happens now that Trap is out! He seems to have grown a lot since hes been gone! I would love to see how things play out now that he’s home!.
Unpopular opinion, but I didn’t like it. I couldn’t connect with the main characters. For me chemistry was lacking, most of the relationship was really a FWB situation that others convinced them should happen. The things Sincere didn’t like the FMC, were also the things I didn’t like about her. And mostly those traits that didn’t change. For example- when she thought he was with someone else. She broke into his house… for what?! Childish. They weren’t together because she said she wasn’t ready.
The Trap aspect was confusing. Clearly, it’s leading to another book. But why begin and end that way, mostly because he didn’t add any context to the main couple.
I will say Trap’s story is one I’m interested in, much more than what I just read.
This was one I fought to see through lol cus I reached my DNF quota for the day.
Basically this was a story of a bird like a straight up duck finding happiness after years of allowing anything. Milani was a bird brain hoochie this entire story like every chapter every page she was just wack. Like I commend her for being a good mom but all that crashing out choosing violence over a man that already showed you 39464857 times he ain’t like you and ain’t care about them kids? Like girl how you even fix your fist to punch something behind him. She was crying all the dang time like how your eyes producing tears for this loser. It was so much half stepping on her part that I kinda hopped that Sincere found him someone else.
Sincere was a little better and easier to digest but still DUMB AF TOO. Like I really need the logic of being afraid to commit but doing relationships stuff and knowing you want more to mesh and correlate to still going out with other women. Like you saying you single cus that’s what she wants but was lying to her coworker about her? Like the delusions were over the top in this story. I also hate when we keep getting age references yet both of the characters is moving like high schoolers.
We got a HEA but for me it didn’t really land, it wasn’t as impactful because I felt like this entire thing was foolish. All in all it was two people scared to love because of the past yet doing everything to fall in love but too scared to call a spade a spade. I also feel like the story was a slow burn but we never got that longing that anticipation the build up to love.Like sure they became intimate quickly but it took us a while to finally admit it was love, but it wasn’t written well enough that I felt the warm and fuzzy for them. I was happy to see supreme step up but again it just felt like a here you go this just what it is kinda thing. *** Also why Milani was doing all that woe is me baby mama stuff to still go on and pop a baby out before getting her ring?**
Always a good time in the Heights! This is a slow burn romance but Supreme and Malani were such a cute couple and I was so glad when they stopped denying their feelings for each other and went for it. I need Trap’s story though. Baby boy seems like he’s going to take us through it.
Yep! Just what I needed. 4.5⭐️. I laughed out loud and had all the feels. This was good. The last 20% had me not wanting to put the book down and getting sad that the end was near.
I really enjoyed this one. Looking forward to the next….!
The beginning of this book says 5 years later, which means Milani's son should be about 6 since he was a baby in book 1 and Asya's daughter should be almost 5 since she was 6mo pregnant with her in the last book. Yet, these kids are playing call of duty and talking better than grown-ups, so the math isn't mathin. Editing was also not as good as book 1, with several errors sprinkled throughout. However, I still liked Sincere/Supreme and Milani's story more than I did Aysa and Dreaux's. Milani initially got on my nerves for a variety of reasons, but as I learned more about her, I understood some of her actions a little more clearly. Then, as the saying goes, for the right one, a person will change, Sincere did just that for Milani and their kids, and I enjoyed witnessing it. Trap's storyline was a subplot that didn't really go anywhere, and the second epilouge didn't progress it either, so I guess book 3 is in the making. Overall, it wasn't a bad read, but I could have done without Trap's subplot and abrupt epilouge ending.
Milani has got two kids by Xan, good for nothing baby daddy. She was willing to fight any and anybody over him and the disrespect of their relationship he was the main one. Aysa is like she better than that. Her son.Xylan keeps asking about him and you know Milani is going to bad about in of her son. She needs her village to help her. That includes Sincere they're together but not really together. Milani said that she's not ready to be in a relationship. Xan was so bitter and jealous because he's in her rear view and wasn't thinking about him. She got Sincere. Sincere was he's ready when she's ready but he wasn't letting go of Tuda. Sincere is stepping up and is doing what Xan should have been doing. Smashing hasn't had nothing to do with it. Supreme had to threaten Ms. Diana over his kids let him tell it. Mama Val, Dutch, Tal, Trap and the other one had to tell him was in love with Milani, but in his heart he always knew. So their little family is complete.
What happens when the love of your life actually isn’t who you thought he would be ? Single mom Milani is making it on her own, no thanks to her baby daddy Xan. After the drama and her disaster of a relationship she’s done with men. However when a man like Supreme knocks you every way but loose how can any girl resist? The cat and mouse game between these two and not committing was hilarious to me. Because first of all how are you more of an active father oppose to their dad. Supreme gave me Boss vibes we love a stepdaddy over here. Realistically I get Milani hesitance and also his because you aren’t going to play me to the left, however Supreme let it be known he ain’t that deadbeat n**ga. Also appreciate the fact that I got a glimpse of Trap.
Love me some Sincere. He is the baby brother to Dutch so y'all know how he's coming.
Sincere and Lani had messed around for years. Neither of them were looking to fall in love. Lani had baby daddy drama, and Sincere had trauma from seeing his daddy treat his mama like nothing. So love was the farthest thing from both of their minds.
However, constantly being in each presence change things for them. They both caught feeling but fought against them. This book was really good. Lots of craziness and foolery. And don't forget what happens to Trap.
Honey, Preme and Milani was made for each other lol. Milani had spent most of her life chasing love from a boy that didn't deserve to breathe the same air as her. Supreme watched his pops treat his mother(s) wrong and that made him not want to have true love. They both were set on proving how much they didn't need the other permanently, that it did the opposite. Friendship turned into family and true love.
3.5 ⭐️ Sincere & Milani’s banter was cute! Sincere was adamant on not settling down but lo and behold, that bug caught him. Milani, having a baby-daddy that caused more stress than calmness was very problematic. He needed a touching. Cute, feel good of Milani getting another chance at love and Sincere unexpectedly finding “the one”.
Supreme/Sincere & Malani!! Malani's heart was bruised from her last relationship. She had two kids to raise, a job, and no time for herself. Supreme didn't do relationships. But Malani captured his attention. I loved how these two came together.
I love a man who can step up when the biological father falls short. Supreme is what I call hard shell with a little soft inside. Great read. Author Unique keeps writing these bangers.
Now you know I've been campaigning for Traps story, ima need it this time sis. Supreme and Milani were so good for each other. Glad they admitted their feelings and got their happily ever after.
When I say this book had me cacklin’… Unique did not disappoint!!! Supreme still is a while fool!!🤣 I can’t wait for Trap’s story!!! This series is getting better and better! Thank you for blessing us!!!
Aww supreme was bit by the love bug! I’m glad that everything worked out for them. Milani was a good one. I would’ve walked Xan like the dog she kidnapped!
Ooooh I really loved Sincere and Milani!!!!! They fought hard but baby they were meant for each other. And he stepped up and became the daddy to her kids they needed.
