Short & sweet! Perfect for the holiday season. I’m just wondering if Sage was with Janet still would he have been checking for Aspen. It seems like he was willing to cut anyone off for her. But overall, this was a cute thanksgiving, second chance novella.
Sage didn’t want to believe everyone around him including his bestie Aspen about his girl Janet. Because of that they stopped talking for two years. Now the families are getting together for thanksgiving and are encouraging them to bury the hatchet. This was a cute friends to ex-friends to lovers story.
I sincerely believe open conversations, good comfort foods & great desserts are the universal love language to create an environment to mitigating against hostility, unify the gathering and resolve & reconcile all discourse🤭🤷🏾♀️‼️Likewise, “Grateful Blessings: An Amethyst Falls Holiday Novelette” successfully delivered 😍‼️..Monkey Bread 🤩😋is the culinary elixir for peace…I apologize…I’m sorry & most importantly “I’m grateful to have you back in my life too” 🧡🤎😉🥰‼️
Grateful Blessings hit all the right emotional notes for me. Aspen carrying hurt and betrayal from someone she trusted felt real and heavy. The way Sage stayed distant after she raised doubts about Aspen’s partner felt like cowardice rather than protection. It hurt to see them so close for years and then let silence come between them instead of a conversation. I completely understood Aspen’s frustration and anger when she felt dismissed and gaslit. Sedona Rose does a great job showing how sometimes the people closest to you can choose comfort over truth.
When fate forces Aspen and Sage back together I felt hopeful but cautious — because I didn’t want this story to be an easy fix. The holiday backdrop gives this reunion warmth and a chance for reflection. Watching them navigate their history, hurt, and fear slowly brought out the realness in their connection. It felt grounded not forced. Their reconnection wasn’t just about nostalgia — it was about confronting pain, demanding honesty, and deciding if old love deserved a second chance. By the end I was rooting for them, believing maybe this time they could rebuild trust and find something honest and good between them.

This was a cute novelette. I’m all for forgiveness and the friendship but Sage proposed to a whole other woman. If he was still with Janet he would still be blind to Aspen. Feels like a consolation prize.
I enjoyed Aspen and Sage’s story! It was very sweet, romantic, and festive. I’ve been a fan of Sedona Rose’s for a while, and she did not disappoint with this short read. I can’t wait to read the next one!
