I also agree with this review 100% - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Female authors these days excusing and romanticizing cheating as somehow it's normal behavior needs to stay away from writing fictional Romances. Somewhere & somehow we lost the ability to distinguish what love & romance is and this is not it.

Not safe-MMC CHEATS ON THE FMC.

Gotta stop reading from hateful bitter women. Somehow they exercise their hatred of women by writing the cruelest conditions for their FMC. Weirdo behavior and it’s giving bitter/unhappy mom of 3

I really wanted to like this book. And part of me did for the vibes. But there was a lot that I didn’t like about it. And because of those things I ended up almost dnfing 60% through. And here are my thoughts: *sorry if they are harsh. But these are my opinions. I know other people loved the book so it’s really about personal preference.*

1. Our MC’s relationship happened far too quickly.
-He tells his friends she’s going to be his wife, and his mother they are going to have babies together after ONLY 3 interactions! They’ve gone on 2 dates and talked on the phone once.
To me that’s extremely obsessive to the point of it being worrisome. At least if it were in real life 😬 it still puts me off in the book.

2. Is her best friend even her best friend?
- she can’t tell her friend anything without her blurting it out for everyone to hear or blabber her secrets to whoever she wants. She is the least trusting best friend I have ever read about. And it was extremely annoying.

3. There was a scene where Silas picks her up and her butt flashed everyone in the room including his best friend. And Silas response was “at least you know what a great ass my girl has.” 😬 as if any other man, especially his best friend needs to know that. And he spent a good portion of the book jealous of other men looking at her or talking to her, including his best friend. So why would he say that? 🤔

5. Silas cheats on Cecilia! He’s obsessed with her enough to want to marry and have her babies after only 3 interactions, but dumb enough to cheat on her? He is a walking red flag! Once that happened I was hoping they wouldn’t end up together! I’ve never read a book where I didn’t want the FMC and MMC to be together. He gave me the Ick!

4. Cecilia told Greyson (a person she hooked up with in the past) she was pregnant before her husband… That is absolutely not okay. He did ask her why she wasn’t drinking alcohol, so one can guess but she could have easily denied it.

5. Silas named their son without her opinion while she was recovering from birth, after she blacked out and doesn’t even know what is happening or where her son is! I would be livid.

But our FMC is okay with all of these things, which makes it all even more odd.

I still want to thank the author for gifting me this Arc. I may not have enjoyed it but that doesn’t mean you won’t! Here are the tropes if you want to know. If I knew it was a cheating trope to begin with I probably wouldn’t have requested it because it’s not my thing 🫣

So we get:

•Cheating
•Hockey romance
•Surprise pregnancy
•Jealous & Obsessive MMC
•Dual POV
•Found Family
•Height Difference

And more.

💬 Well, unfortunately this really wasn't a book for me. This story was well written and I think the author did an incredible job weaving in the drama and tension, twists and turns in the story, along with spice and chemistry between the MCs.

I also absolutely loved their meet cute. It was funny and adorable and I was really excited for them as a couple. The first dozen or so chapters were fabulous.

I think it just comes down to I don't like the author's writing style. I probably would have enjoyed this if I were 20 years younger but the MCs and side characters came off as immature to me. It's highly possible I've become that crotchety old lady yelling get off my lawn but I was kind of floored by some of the things that happened in this story 🤣

Like the use of "creamy flow" to describe when the FMC came- actually the whole scene of when she saw his dick for the first time left me in tears because I was laughing so hard at how unhinged it was but also a little bit horrified at some of the red flags. If that had been me I would have been gone. Peace out ✌🏼 Thanks for the memories.

Or the used toothpaste fight. Or everyone in their bedroom immediately after they got engaged when she's naked. Or his mom and brother "staring at her rack" going on about her boob size. Do these people not have any boundaries? Is it me? Am I the prude here? I'm genuinely happy to accept it if I am. Maybe these were meant to be comic relief and I just took it too seriously. See: crotchety old lady in a rocking chair on her porch.

I did enjoy the last third of the book but this is my first book with a cheating trope and I realized it's not really my thing. The end dragged on a little bit too long for my tastes, I think the last 75 pages could have been summed up in an epilogue and it still would have had the same effect.

Cheating H.
Unsafe. I pirated (because tf do I look like giving money to loser ass women) just to be able to see if the cheating scene is as bad as everyone on Tiktok is saying and yes it is.

Author is DEEPLY misogynistic and delights in writing cruelty towards women.

-Cheating H
-Doormat h
-h apologizes to H for HIS CHEATING. What in the bird brained shit is this?

Now I want to hex this author using graveyard dirt and coffin nails bc women like this should never be allowed to write. Women are already subject to such cruelty in romantic relationships so why are you ROMANTICIZING being degraded, dehumanized, and disrespected you fucking loser. 🙄

“Our love is what fairytales are made of. What children wish for and adults dream about.”

Eternally Yours is a hockey romance that begins with an adorable meet-cute. Cecelia and Silas fall fast and hard for each other, but they will have to navigate many hardships before they get to their happily ever after.

To start off with the positives, their meeting is absolutely adorable. It was unique (and a little unhinged). I felt myself giggling out loud as the chemistry between the main characters developed.

One of my favorite things about Eternally Yours was the group of friends that felt like family. Strong and mature female friendships gave Cecelia a safe place to rest during the trials of her relationship. I truly just adore Morgan - protect her at all costs.

One thing that bothered me is the insta-love. Silas was thinking about marriage and having children, as well as referring to Cecelia as “my girl”, before they had even exchanged phone numbers.

Ultimately, my biggest struggle with Eternally Yours is the length and pacing. Truthfully, there is entirely too much going on. The story should have taken up two to three books. Around 300 pages, there was a nice resolution and I felt at that point, we had a HEA. However, mountains of drama occur past that point. Ultimately, the storyline of the book spans over *two years*. By the end, it seemed like anything that could possibly go wrong got shoved in there.

Despite this, I do feel quite attached to the characters and would continue to read the series. I wish the author the best with her release of Eternally Yours. 🏒

paula said it all, whether he fucked ow or not he still cheated.
he still kissed ow and agreed to take her back to his room.

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

what's worst fmc's willingness to make it work and downplaying it to a mistake, she only left when ow said she was pregnant.

and what's worst is her asking HIM for forgiveness when the news came out that the ow is a liar, MY SISTER IN CHRIST STAND UP WHY ARE YOU APOLOGIZING HE MADE HIS CHOICES.

note : idk if Clay or the rest of the players have books but skip because from the info we got in this one they aren't safe either
Clay : fucked around on his girl at first too
Grayson: was supporting and defending a cheater

i REALLY wanted to love this. And it started great. About halfway through it got very repetitive and when i thought the book was almost over, i realized there was somehow another like 250 pages.

There were cringe moments. The first time she sees his 🍆, after they get engaged and EVERYONE jumps into bed with her while she’s naked, the way she gets close to Clay and he’s like jealous?

I don’t know. I think if it ended like, right after the wedding, and it continued on with another book, it would have been fabulous. But the second half wasn’t for me.

I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I was able to get into the story quickly and was intrigued by the chemistry and development between the two main characters. Their backstories were engaging, and I appreciated how the side characters were well-integrated into the plot. The first half had a strong start, with sweet courting moments, emotional connection, and a delightful dose of spicy romance vibes.

However, as the story progressed, I found myself starting to disconnect. It began to feel a bit disjointed, primarily due to fitting in too many micro-tropes that made the story more drawn out.

Although I continued reading, my interest waned about halfway through. There were moments that felt more like filler than plot progression, and the pacing started to drag as too many events unfolded at once without the necessary development to support them. While the emotional bond between the main characters was solid, the reason behind the third act breakup felt unconvincing to me—it didn’t quite align with the depth of their connection built earlier in the story.

That said, there’s potential here. With a bit more refinement and tighter editing, this could be a much stronger and more cohesive read.

I don’t even know where to start with this review! So many thoughts are going through my mind, how do i write them down? THIS BOOK… eternally yours, eternally being the main word because thats how long it will stay with me!!! This is Chloe’s debut novel, would you think this is her first published book? Not at all! Her writing is so beautiful you’d think she’d have books galore. Its pure magic, i never wanted it to end.

So we start off with Silas wanting to go out to dinner to eat on his own, he just wants some time to himself and for everyone to stay out of his way, he turns up at the restaurant and whilst he’s waiting to be seated he spots the most beautiful woman he’s ever laid eyes on, what does he do? He NEEDS to know who she is, so he decides thats exactly what he’ll do and just goes and sits himself in the empty seat right opposite her. Cecilia is so confused, why is there a tall dark & handsome hunk of a man sitting opposite her, he’s obviously sat at the wrong table by accident, until he tells her nope, no accidents here & orders for them both. WHAT IS GOING ON?!? So she goes along with it because, why not? And they get on amazingly well, there’s chemistry there, a connection she’s not felt… well, ever! They don’t want the night to end so after dinner, decide to go for a walk through central park & when its time to walk Cecilia home, Silas is gobsmacked, why on earth are they at his building? Because she lives in the same building… OF COURSE SHE DOES, WHAT ARE THE CHANCES 🤭 hello fate, its very nice to meet you xo

From there we get to see their relationship grow, they decide to take it slow at the beginning because this is so new to them, they’ve never felt anything so strong and don’t want it to all come crashing down, as the months go on, they fall completely & utterly in love with each other, its like a fairytale, they get a beautiful house, have a beautiful wedding, have amazing friends & get the sweetest little dog called Milo, cue epilogue? NAAAHHH then disaster strikes, that crash? It comes down with brutal force and their beautiful fairytale turns to dust. But don’t worry, because with a connection as strong as theirs, love will conquer all!

God, this book had me in a chokehold! I was a rollercoaster of emotions, happy, elated, joyful, anxious, heartbroken, laughing, crying, and all the others. I was hooked when i seen the first snippet on Chloe’s instagram months ago, i knew i had to read this!! When i seen there was a cheating trope, i was quite nervous, its a trigger for me, but not everything is as it seems and chloe wrote this so well it made me love the book even more! I loved how we got to watch (watch because obviously its a movie in my mind) their story unfold, with alot of books we see them get their happily ever after then its done, but we see this and we get to watch them enjoy their relationship & marriage throughout alot of the book (before everything falls apart obviously) which makes me love it even more!!! Silas and Cecilia are soul mates, they are such beautiful people both inside and out, and even after everything, they come out even stronger! They deserved that happily ever after, so so much! And they will always hold a place in my heart. I felt this book so deeply, i’m so happy that i was privileged to be given an arc copy, not only have i found a new favourite author, i’m leaving this book with a new friend too! Chloe is a beautiful soul inside & out and i can’t wait to see her shine with these books 🫶🏽 some people don’t believe in miracles or fate but this book came to her in a dream & i know in my bones it was meant to be.

Qué lindo amor, ¿no?

This book follows Cecilia and Silas, who meet by chance in a restaurant and instantly fall into an obsessive, intense relationship. Silas is a professional hockey player and Cecilia is newly in New York working in event planning. The premise has a ton of promise: instant attraction, jealousy, possessiveness, teammates, and the kind of emotional messiness that sports romances can do really well. Their chemistry is hot, the pacing is quick, and it’s very readable. I wasn’t bored at any point, and I actually do think the series setup is strong.

My issue wasn’t with the writing style but with the storyline and emotional flow. Silas’s obsession is accepted immediately by Cecilia with no push-pull, no conflict, and no tension, which made the dynamic feel flat rather than addictive. The cheating plot should have been the emotional centerpiece of the book, but instead it felt oddly muted and rushed. When photos surface of Silas with another woman, Cecilia is devastated but barely confronts him. There’s no real discussion, no questions, no explosion, no messy heartbreak. For a couple built on intensity and obsession, the fallout felt strangely quiet.

And I do want to clarify something that a lot of other reviews seem to twist or skim over. Many readers claim he cheated, and many call Cecilia a doormat. I do agree that Cecilia acts somewhat like a doormat in the way she processes and forgives things, but in terms of the cheating itself, I don’t think those reviews are accurately describing what actually happened in the book. Silas didn’t kiss the woman—she kissed him, her friend took the photos, and he never actually slept with her. He was drunk to the point of being basically out and passed out in the hotel room. The author never explains why he still allowed the woman into his hotel room, which is one of the biggest lingering questions for me, because that’s the part that doesn’t logically track. In real life, the situation would still be terrible, but this is fiction, and the intention wasn’t that he willingly cheated. The twist later confirms that the woman was already pregnant and deliberately set him up.

Even knowing that, I still didn’t love Cecilia’s forgiveness arc. She forgives him almost instantly, without needing answers or closure, and goes straight to “I trust you and I trust your love” before the full story is even revealed. The confrontation when he returns home is weak and lacks angst, and they more or less sit in silence for two weeks before quietly rebuilding without actually talking about what happened. For a married couple portrayed as obsessed with each other, it felt unrealistic and anticlimactic. Then after months apart, a romantic letter, and the truth coming out, she apologizes to him, becomes pregnant, and the book wraps up neatly.

There are also side dynamics that never fully land, like her closeness with Clay and the previous hookup with Grayson, which seems more like setup for Book 2 than something meaningful for this story. Overall, I feel like the book had all the ingredients to be explosive, messy, and emotional but didn’t give enough depth or conflict to make the tropes satisfying. I didn’t dislike it—I actually enjoyed reading it and will continue the series, especially because I’m interested in Grayson’s book—but I was disappointed by how many things were glossed over instead of explored. This had a lot of potential; it just didn’t fully deliver on it for me. I’m hoping the next one goes harder with the angst, tension, and emotional stakes that this one only skimmed.

From the off this book is very instant attraction and feelings. I don’t expect my books to always reflect real life, these are make believe. Yes if someone was this obsessed after only a few interactions in real life it would be worrying, but it’s fantasy land… in my dreams I end up with Jared Padalecki after one meet up 😂😉

This isn’t your usual Hockey Romance, there’s not massive amounts of hockey talk and scenes like in previous books I’ve read. It’s definitely about the way the relationship develops between the FMC and MMC and their journey.

I like the way Silas and Cecilia first met, I do love a cocky hockey player 😉

The romance and wooing was divine and the spice was 🔥 although the initial spice scene had me chuckling between Cecilia trying to escape the ‘monster’ and Silas conjuring up images of his dead Nanna 😂🙈
There’s probably a little more spice than I like in a book but there was still enough plot for me to get by!

I don’t want to give away any spoilers but there’s a conversation in the car before Cecilia will meet Silas’s family and it got to me 🥺 As someone who has similar feelings/experiences to Cecilia I totally understood her heartache.

I loved the friendship dynamic between the 4 main females. Even if things weren’t always good between them!

There is a cheating trope in the book. It’s heartbreaking and gut wrenching, eurgh! I don’t know how I feel about the cheating trope. Again, it’s fiction and it’s a trope that is good for throwing a spanner in the works. Can anyone ever really come back from cheating and have a solid relationship/friendship again?! But there are some twists to this element of the book!

Two things that were not working for me: the pet names for the FMC and MMC and the length of the book. I’m personally someone who cannot do overly long books.
That being said I still enjoyed the story and definitely wanted to know how everything panned out.

Thank you to the author for an ARC of the book in exchange for my honest review

ARC review

I was so excited to read this book. And at the same time, I was also afraid 🙈
This is Chloe's debut novel. I've been following her on IG for a while, and that makes me always a bit nervous. What if I don't like the book and will DNF it? But still, I was excited because the tropes of this book 🤩 Yes, I know most readers hate cheating, but I love it. The fact that the guy (yes, I know cliché) is groveling SOO much after it... I love men who grovel 😎

The fact that you are reading this review right now says, I finished the book. And when I finish a book, you can be sure I loved it. So yes, this book is good. SOOO good 🤩
Silas, WOW. This man... It's difficult to put it in fewer words to describe how much he loves Cecilia, or Minnie, as he calls her (what makes him MINE btw!!!). He is the absolute golden retriever. He is obsessed, possessive, and extremely jealous. But not in a bad way, at least not for Cece, ggf for men who look at her the wrong way 🤣 Even though he falls instantly and VERY hard, he is so careful with her 🥰 It's just so cute.
And yet, he cheated on Cece. I know, I know that doesn't fit together, but still...
I would love for everyone to still give this book a try. And read it til the end!

I had EVERY emotion while reading this book. I laughed (and yes, there is an elderly funny woman, something I absolutely love), I was angry, but I was also so sad and cried a lot, especially in the second half of the book.
This book definitely broke me 😭💔 But it's just so wonderful 🩷

Another thing I LOVED was the wedding 😍 So many books skip the wedding or rush it 😔 I love weddings and I want to have a full scene with everything! So, it made me so happy 🩷

Unfortunately, I need to stop. But I'm super excited about all the other books that will come 🤩

Eternally Yours follows Silas, a professional hockey player and Cecilia, an events planner who fall in love almost instantly. Personally I felt like this book was longer than it needed to be but, it still flowed well. My only issue with this book aside from the length, is when shit hit the fan...it hit fast and resolved way too quickly in my opinion. I would have loved to see the drama marinate a bit or have a longer play before resolve. It was like everything that could have went wrong, happened and resolved without going through the motions. (Ford and Rose, Clays view on why he was so harsh on Silas and close to C., his previous cheating on his wife and her insecurities,) but I see why it wasn't too important to the story at the time but with the length I was curious. There was alot to take in and a bit rushed while other things I felt weren't interesting or important took up pages.

I did love all the characters, with Cecilia being my least favorite, as she spent the majority of the story crying. I would have loved to see some growth and more strength in her character especially when she was dealing with Silas' "mistake". A mistake which I feel as a professional athlete, should have taken more care to look into properly and could have prevented the time way from Cecilia. He and the boys at one point mention how puck bunnies pull things for money and yet when it happens to him it was accepted so easily as truth.

Em...her bestie, its crazy how at the end they aren't even talking anymore because she's with a new man. She was inserting herself in everything Cecilia and Silas had and when she got a man just dropped them...bestie...really? tsk tsk.

All in all I am definitely interested in reading more and see how the story grows with the other characters. It does flow well regardless of the length and I was pretty invested. Everyone loves a HEA.

What a wild ride of a novel!

This story begins when Silas, a famous hockey captain, walks into a restaurant and decides to sit with a beautiful young woman, Cecilia, who is just trying to enjoy a meal by herself. She has absolutely no idea who he is, what he is famous for, and frankly is just annoyed at this behemoth of a man sitting at her table.

Sparks fly, you find that they are both absolutely head over heels for each other at first glance, and they each come with an equally hilarious set of friends, which makes one wild group.

You follow their ups and downs, and side note, he does cheat on her at one point, but they do make it out in the end as a way better, stronger couple. The cheating trope is not one that I usually read, but this one was definitely one of the best novels that I have read with that trope in it. The characters are very real at that moment. Their decisions and actions are very throughout out and well developed, and in the end, you can see how much they both have grown and developed in their friendships and relationship.

Cecilia is such a strong FMC, but she also goes through heavy mental struggles in this novel. I think it is important to note because it is important to take care of your mental health when reading books with these topics.

Overall, it is such a great book that will make you cry, scream, kick your feet, and also sweat from the spicy scenes.

I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this amazing novel and am leaving a review of my own thoughts and feelings.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 stars!!!!

Wow! What a debut!!!

This is THE next read for people who are fans of Elle Kennedy and Liz Tomforde, or any hockey romance lover.

The story begins with our FMC and MMC meeting in a very original way. I loved how realistic this love story was from start to finish. It wasn’t the typical we meet and it’s 100% right from the start. Just like in a real relationship, there was forming of a bond that took time. It followed a very natural progression. There were also some laugh out loud moments and some amazing supporting characters. I’m an Emma (the FMC best friend) at heart- so her hilarious quips and outbursts really made me laugh.

There was also some epic conflict (prepare your body- you were warned). I LOVED how the author wrote conflict- it has the style of Chloe Walsh (Boys of Tommen). She nailed the emotions, and made me TRULY feel what the characters were feeling. I also loved that the conflict was SO real. Like it wasn’t a conflict and then everything was back to normal within 1 chapter. I found that the author wrote one of the most real depictions of a conflict, and road back to normalcy I have read in a romance. I think she has true true potential to write something on the level of Chloe Walsh emotions down the line. I feel like many people can write romance well, but not many people can TRULY write conflict in a way that it makes you feel, and she really has what it takes ! Bravo!!

I can’t wait for the rest of the series- thank you for choosing me for an ARC, I feel honored to have been part of your journey.

If you love Becka Mack and Elle Kennedy, this book is for you. Within these pages you'll find a tumultuous, fun and chaotic fast paced love just like the sport. Silas and Cecilia navigate the hockey realm and the true ugly that comes with fame and money but their love is stronger and the bond is unbreakable. You'll find your heart racing while you read through the pages of a love story with instant attraction, spice, found family, a goofy and loving MMC Silas who lives and breathes for his girl. This book encapsulates what it means to keep promises, what it takes to maintain a healthy relationship, consequences, communication, honesty/accountability even at the cost of friendship and most importantly love for your team - literally and figuratively. It invokes love and longing for not only a love like Silas and Cecilia's but to experience the friendship and bonds they forge throughout this entire story.
Beautifully written and made for the hopeless romantics waiting for their chance for our own hockey player - our own Silas. I cannot wait to continue reading the series and supporting the author through this series and her journey.

Thank you for allowing me the chance to read this for you Chloe! 10/10

It's interesting reading all the reviews complaining about cheating when that's clearly mentioned in the blurb. Like why even bother reading if that's a dealbreaker for you lol. My issues with the book have nothing to do with the cheating or doormat FMC, I came to read a marriage in trouble/betrayal story and welcome a messy plot, I just have issues with everything else.

This story was TOOO long, it had no business being 400 pages. This was supposed to be a fast paced romance but it somehow takes a 1/3 of the book to cover 3 months? I think a lot of contemporary romance authors aren't great at setting a scene and often rely on excessive dialogue to fill the pages. This author did the opposite, she spent so much time describing random details. It doesn't takes multiple paragraphs to describe the MMCs kitchen or Halloween costume, it really added nothing to the story but words. There was just so much useless stuff that really distracted from the plot. Why is it that a story focused on betrayal and second chances barely touches on the MMC groveling, that should be a significant portion of the story.

One of my biggest pet peeves in romance stories is the loud and annoying best friend and of course that archetype was found in this story. I swear why can't women right decent female friendships, UGH

Overall, it was somewhat entertaining, but so unfocused and felt more like a weekly updated fan fic

Eternally Yours centres around Cecilia, a young independent woman who moves to New York to pursue a job with her best friend, Emma as an events planner. However, her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Silas Hayes, a famous and captivating professional hockey player. What begins as a casual encounter quickly blossoms into a passionate romance, but as the pressures of their careers and public life start to interfere, Silas and Cecilia find themselves facing difficult decisions.

Chloe Rouxel’s writing is fast-paced and engaging, capturing the intensity of a whirlwind romance while maintaining a fun, flirty tone. The chemistry between Cecilia and Silas is intense, and Rouxel does a fantastic job of building the tension between them—both in and out of the bedroom. The banter is witty and playful, creating a dynamic that keeps readers hooked.

I’m genuinely amazed that this is Rouxel’s debut novel—it’s such an impressive start to the series! The secondary characters added so much emotional depth to the story, and I’m especially excited to dive into their journeys next—particularly the blossoming love story between Silas’s coach, Shane and Cecilia’s friend, Aubrey.

Sticks and Stilettos Book 1

Holy....freaking... shit!! I honestly cannot comprehend the rollercoaster ride this took me on... and boy oh boy I cannot wait until Book 2!!

They never believed in love at first sight, until it happened, not long after moving to the city Cecilia decided to take herself out for dinner, little did she know that Hockey Star Silas Hayes had the same idea, except he let fate guide him to her, and well after a whirlwind start their romance their world gets flipped upside down.

I was hooked in, the way Silas treats Cecilia from day 1 was attentive and just well swoon worthy! Even when things were touch and go. There are no words to describe this book that feel like enough, I couldn't put it down!

Being book 1 I loved meeting everyone and getting to know them a little better and what I hope is a little insight to future books, and it's making me feel giddy! I would highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to be broken but put back together topped with a pink bow.

For fans of Hockey Romance, Instalove, Found Family, Golden Retriever MMC, Sassy FMC and some delicious Spicy goodness.

WHAT IN THE SLOWBURN?!!! 🙌💛🥹😭 MY WORD! The rollercoaster I’ve been on with Silas and Cecilia’s story needs to be studied. I giggled. I cried. I yelled. I got really mad. I got super excited. I have so much to say that all of it just froze up when I started to write the review. Once I began reading this book, I knew it was long. At some point I thought there’s a book two right within just this one but alas it’s the first of a series. I ABSOLUTELY look forward to book 2. But like I was saying, its length could have been a problem but it wasn’t because I had to read it in one day. I wanted to know what happens next, the characters and their big “friends that become family” family kept calling my name. There was no way I was putting it down before I saw the words “The End”. Silas and Cecilia!!! Oh my days!!! I’m so glad I got to experience their world, it was too raw and real and beautiful. I experienced every emotion there is and more.

Cecelia and Silas. The premise of this book and the story itself was cute. I did have a few issues with it though. One being the length. It really didn't need to be that long or drawn out especially since their love was established early on in the book. Two, Silas' anger issues. Having anger issues is okay, everyone has baggage, my issue is that it is never really addressed by Silas. He immediately apologies to whomever he yells at and that's the end of it. But is it really? I would have really liked to see Silas figure out where the anger was coming from because it was explosive.

I understand no one is perfect and we all have our flaws but dealing with those flaws and embracing them.. and finding ways to cope are far better than repeating the same behaviors. Anyway...

Overall, I enjoyed the characters, the friends, the atmosphere, and the story.

Thank you to the author for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

I truly loved this book with the instant love between two strangers. A hockey romance at its finest, allowing us to get a glimpse into the real hockey life. The attraction between Silus the big professional hockey star and Cecilia the quiet event planner is off the charts. The life they are building is so perfect &happy until an unfortunate event causes their world to crash around them. Is their love strong enough to save what they found together? I found the emotions that was felt reading this book was so raw and powerful. Chloe knows how to pull at the heartstrings and make you want to keep reading. I never wanted to put the book down resulting in some very late nights. The spice in this book was definitely a 4 for me. I give it a 5 star as it had everything i want in a book. I was so mentally invested in knowing how their story ends. Can't wait to see what Chloe comes up with next. 😊♥️

Eternally Yours by Chloe Rouxel was a complete roller coaster in all the best ways. I’m not going to lie, about half way I thought to myself, ‘what else could possibly happen’ but I was pleasantly surprised with Chloe’s answer. Where the first half was fast paced and fun, the second half had a wild twist and really dug deep into the connection between the main characters. I really felt for Silas and Cecelia and rooted for them until the last page.

This book is a hockey romance, sprinkled with found family and great banter, wrapped up in a spicy little bow. I’m really interested to see how the rest of the gang ends up since there were some solid hints throughout.

Thank you to Chloe Rouxel for the opportunity to read an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. I’ll definitely be signing up for the next ones in the series!

Trigger warnings include death of family members (off-page) and infidelity.

I was captivated from the first page, I love this collection of character especially Cecelia, Emma, and Silas. I love the found family and friend group in this story and series and I can’t wait to read the other stories. I think the love story between Cecelia and Silas was so cute and I cried towards the end. I absolutely adore the nickname he calls her. I think it’s so adorable and it’s something that I haven’t seen used before. I’m so happy that everyone got a happily ever after and I’m so excited to see how Emma’s and Greyson’s story is. I highly recommend this to those who love reading hockey romances. I’m very thankful to have been gifted a copy of the book.

4.25 ⭐️❤️

I'm a sucker for a hockey romance, so I knew I was going to eat this up. What I didnt expect however, was how different this would be from the typical formula. This one has depth and plot twists that you won't expect coming.

I felt such a deep pit of sadness in my stomach at some parts because the author did a great job at provoking your emotions. I loved the supporting characters in this book, the found family that Cecilia made with Silas's hockey friend Clay and his wife Morgan was so sweet. There was also great comic relief from Cecilia's best friend Emma.

If you like: he falls first, touch her and die vibes, golden retriever MMC's, sassy FMC's or dual POV. I highly recommend! Thank you Chloe Rouxel for providing me with an ARC!
