To be fair, when I looked at the pregnancy test results, I didn't think it would literally make me have a seizure. Then, I woke up in the hospital with my brother's best friend by my side and the doctor congratulating us on our baby. Our. Baby. But the worst part? I didn't correct him. Oops. Now, Griffin Thorne is the only man on the planet who knows about my not-so-little secret. And yes, that includes the real father...for now. I can't decide what's worse. My boyfriend finding out about the baby, or the fact that Griffin Thorne is the one driving me across the country to deliver the news. Yeah, my boyfriend's going to kill me, and if he doesn't, my brother definitely will. Not because I'm pregnant. Nope. It's because the possibility of anything non-platonic happening between me and his best friend is so far off limits, I might as well sign my death certificate right now.
Surprise Pregnancy Forced Proximity Brother's Best Friend Forbidden Romance He Falls First One Bed Hockey Romance
Kelsie is a sucker for a love story with all the feels. When she's not chasing words for her next book, you will probably find her reading or, more likely, hanging out with her husband and playing with her three kiddos who love to drive her crazy.
She adores photography, baking, her yorkie, Bob, and her devon rex, Mara. And now that she's actively pursuing her writing dreams, she's set her sights on someday finding the self-discipline to not binge-watch an entire series on Netflix in one sitting.
“She touches the side of my face again, dragging her fingertips from my forehead, along my temple, down my jaw, then brushes them against the edge of my lip. It’s like a feather. Light. Almost non-existent. But I can feel it everywhere. Every. Fucking. Inch of me is like a livewire. And I’m living, eating, breathing for her to do it again. To touch me again. To keep looking at me like this. Like she’s curious. Like she could want me the same way I’ve always wanted her.” 💜
Kelsie Rae can take you on such a journey with her writing and I am here for every second of it!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌶️🌶️.5
I have been waiting so long for Griffin and Finley’s story and wow it did not disappoint! The drama, the banter, the tension, the comedy, the heartbreak but most of all the loyalty. The way he would do anything for this girl had me swooning all the way through. This story had it all and was combined so perfectly which made for such a fun and un put down able read! What an amazing addition this was to an already fabulous series.
I will be on the edge of my seat waiting for A Little Broken to be released! ❤️
ARC Review In true Kelsie fashion this book will make you giggle and squeal. Make you roll your eyes and swoon. This book is an emotional rollercoaster. This book ripped my heart out. These characters have gone through so much in this series. And it just keeps coming. Griffin is every bit the book boyfriend you want him to be. He is every good thing from Ashlyn and Colt with yhr attitude and resolve of his uncle Theo and the heart of Macklin. The family involvement in this book warms my heart. I cant wait to read it again!
ARC Review. Griffin and Finley's story was an emotional roller-coaster for sure. They have great chemistry, and Griff's patience and love for Finley has boosted him up my list of book boyfriends.
My favourite part of this book and series is "The Banter. The Sass. The camaraderie." I seriously couldn't put it any better myself. The way the families come together with love and support pulls at my heart strings. I love all of these characters (expect Everett) he was seriously testing my patience in this book.
This book hit some hard subjects for a lot of people, and as always, Kelsie handled it so well. Finley is a very strong, stubborn character, so it was frustrating to see her getting cut off while speaking. So. Many. Times. I almost want to count.
Honestly, I've loved everything I've read of Kelsie's so far, and I am so thankful to be a part of your ARC team. The hijacked epilogue had me tearing up a little. I can't wait to see what's in store for Tatum in A Little Broken.
I was excited about Griffin and Finley’s story, because they always had this great chemistry, but I never expected their story to get that, well, messy.
Just to be clear—the writing was great, as always. The banter, the found family vibe, the swoony moments, the smut. It was all there and I’ll never get enough of this group of people and the world Kelsie Rae built around them in Lockwood Heights.
It’s just the plot that didn’t quite work for me.
So, Finley spends years in a relationship that’s simply not worth it. She knows it, everyone else knows it. She’s this confident and witty girl, yet somehow cannot pull the plug on the relationship that consists mostly of fights and disappointments. I don’t really get it.
At the same time, she always felt this pull towards Griffin, but they’ve never done anything about it, even though she gets off to the thoughts of him. Again—I don’t really get it.
Then she finally breaks up with her boyfriend, but only because he ends up being a dick about their surprise pregnancy. So, it’s safe to assume that if he reacted differently… she would still be with him.
Right. Well, right after she breaks up with her ex, she moves on to Griffin. Like, she kisses him literally the same day.
That’s not romantic. That’s messy. It gives rebound and an inability to exist outside of a relationship. Girl, take a moment to breathe. Maybe try some therapy to figure out your feelings and why you’re unable to stand on your own.
The fact that Griffin just goes with all of it, no questions asked, is weird in itself. How do you just jump into dating a barely single girl, pregnant with another guy’s child and have absolutely no reservations, no doubts, don’t struggle with any of it at all?
If the whole jumping from one relationship to another wasn’t messy enough, the pregnancy thing just makes it messier.
She’s a 19 year old girl. Barely a woman. Why is she so adamant about having a baby of a guy she doesn’t even wanna be with? It’s not like she dreamt about starting a family that early on (or at all?), so it didn’t make much sense for her character arc.
And it’s gonna make me sound like an absolute jerk, but I had a hard time empathizing with how depressed she was after the miscarriage. It happens more often than not in the first trimester and it’s not like she was trying to have a baby for years. In fact, she really wasn’t in a space or point in life to be raising a child and she didn’t even wanna have anything to do with the baby’s father.
This whole baby trope didn’t work for me whatsoever and I couldn’t wrap my head around the main characters acting like they were 19 going on 30.
Overall, the romance wasn’t romantic at all to me, it was just messy. At the same time, I liked everything else, besides the main plot.
There will never be a book by Kelsie Rae that I won’t finish in one sitting. I was as hooked on this book as Griff is to Fin. I swear this is one of the sweetest, most heartbreaking yet lovable books I’ve ever read. The tension between these two was so strong- didn’t help she was soooo stubborn- it was so thrilling to have Fin finally get a good guy who wouldn’t treat her terrible. I swear Griff brought out the best in Fin and vice versa. I was rooting for them the whole way and griff stepping up to be the baby’s dad because his sperm donor is worth nothing had me absolutely melting. I will say I was not expecting the level of spice but was throughly happy with it. I can’t wait for Tatum story. Loved this book so much- Kelsie thank you for allowing me to be an arc for this book it was fantastic!!!
Also there should be a petition to make Griff a dad because he will crush it.👨🍼👨🍼
Oh my god. This woman cannot write a bad book! I loved every second of this college hockey romance! It has spice, heartbreak, friendship, only one bed, friends to lovers, childhood friends, found family, and much more. I have been waiting on tenterhooks for this book to be out, and after reading the ARC, I am not-so-patiently waiting for the next one. This is the cycle of a Kelsie Rae reader!
I didn't think I would cry like I did in this book. I didn't think anything would hit me almost as hard as the Archer debacle did. But Kelsie achieved it! The sadness from both Fin and Griff was SO WELL WRITTEN. This entire book was so well written! And I love that even though I personally found Fin insufferable half of the time, I still absolutely loved her as a character and her role in the other characters' lives. That tells you how well Klesie can write a book and a character that isn't to everyone's tastes while still telling a compelling, incredible story.
I also really loved the tie ins to the other books in this one. There were unfinished plotlines/moments from previous books that were brought into play seamlessly and characters from other series that were subtly and not-so-subtly placed into the story to add more to our current and future characters!
10/10 would recommend anything this woman has written to anyone and everyone!
I really enjoyed Finley and Griffins story. These two have so much chemistry and history. Once the roadblock was out of the way they were able to finally show their true feelings. They went through some hard times but together with their support system they got through it.
Griffin is the best parts of both Ash and Colt. Finley is a total spitfire who takes charge and doesn’t let her epilepsy hold her back! This book was so fun Griff is definitely one of my favorites and so is Finley!
A little secret huh? There are a few secrets in this book. I have been waiting for this story of Griffin and Finley for a while. Let me tell you it did not disappoint!
There is lots of banter, sass, heart breaks from a couple of different angles and lots of love. I love how the families come together and support each other. There are some tough situations that happen and can be very hard and some people that I feel it was handled amazingly well.
Griffin is very patient and loves Finley for who she is and treats her with love and respect. Finley is a strong willed person and kind of gets overlooked because of her medical issues, but she isn’t afraid to speak her mind!
I love being able to be on this ARC team. I am grateful for Kelsie writing such great books. Now I am intrigued by Tatum’s story! I can’t wait to read it!
ARC Review- Another great one in the books! (No pun intended 🤣). Griffin and Finley's story pulls you in from the first page! It is one you do not want to miss out on. There are so many emotions: happiness, sadness, fear, love, etc. Griffin is protective, selfless, passionate, and extremely supportive of 1 thing: Finley. Finley is one strong, stubborn gal. But she never gave up on the obstacles that were thrown her way. They are finally brought together in the best way possible. Thank you Kelsie for another AMAZING story.. I can not wait to read Tatum's story next!
Kelsie knows how to write the heck out of some trauma in the most compassionate and beautiful way.
Why the heck didn’t we ever have game nights like this is college?
My love for the big overlapping family tree that makes up this world is infinite.
I have loved every book in this series, and A Little Secret is no exception. Finley’s blunt sarcasm really made me connect with her because, same. Griff was just an amazing boyfriend and the fact that he refused to let the miscommunication trope interfere with his relationship with Fin was perfect. The parallels drawn between him and his mom stepping up and being willing to love a baby who wasn’t blood had me all in my feelings for sure, because I loved Ash so much in previous books.
I don’t want to give away too much—check TWs and dive in after that because this series has some of my favorite storytelling this year.
🏒 Hockey romance 🏒 Forced proximity 🏒 One bed 🏒 Brother’s best friend
All of the books I’ve read by Kelsie have been 5 star reads and this one was no different. I’ve been looking forward to Griffin and Finley’s story for a while now and I’m so glad to have been able to read it a little early (pun intended 😉). I absolutely loved Griffin. He is the epitome of a book boyfriend and deserved all the happiness in the world. He was so patient with Finley and only wanted what was best for her. He stood by her even when he could’ve run far away. Finley had a lot she needed to work through. I absolutely loved her personality and all of her sarcasm. I laughed out loud a few times at her antics and one liners. Finley and Griffin were adorable together and I loved their relationship. I loved all of the support they had from everyone around them. I really enjoy getting glimpses of all of the couples from the other books throughout each new book that Kelsie writes. I’m excited to continue this series with Tatum’s book next!
If I could give everyone of Kelsie’s books a 100000/5 I would. Her writing style and the way she just captures your heart with the books she writes is amazing and will forever be my favorite. And no miscommunication tropes?? The best!
Just one more book to finish the series. Book 1 is still by far my favorite. I’ve enjoyed this series by Kelsie Rae. She finds a way for you to love all the characters and has you wanting to read the next book to follow them even more. ❤️
Wow. Wow. Wow. I have reread this book twice now! I honestly was not expecting Finley’s character, she’s so confident and witty. I don’t feel like we’ve seen that type of security with the other girls. I genuinely LOVED Finley. I think she is now my favorite. Griffin was such a heartthrob, I mean all these men are just impeccable, but something about Griffin really pulled my heartstrings. He was so patient and understanding even when Finley was making decisions he didn’t necessarily like. It was really beautiful to read how their friendship went through the ups and downs before they got to the lovers part. I can’t give too much away but we all need a man like Griffin. IYKYK. He had her back no matter what. I really think these two are perfect for each other and I hope we see more of them in the future!
Kelsie never disappoints. This was such an emotional rollercoaster. From the angst to the heartbreak to the happy ending. The banter was perfect & the tension had me at the edge of my seat.
10/10 every single time. Absolutely love the updates of other characters lives throughout the book. After reading the hijacked epilogue, I’m not sure I’m emotionally prepared for Tatum’s story
Spoiler: “You can add the rest of our babies’ birthdays as we go.” 😭 Friends to lovers Close proximity 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Griffin’s love & devotion is everything. Him trying to get traded to stay close to Finley so they could be together 🥺

In the beginning it was a bit difficult to see where this story was going, but like the others in the series it made perfect sense in the end and took me on an emotional rollercoaster.
One of my favourite thing about this series is that all the characters are so involved in each others lives, and we get to se a lot of the parents from the Don’t Let Me series as well.
I loved the chemistry between Griff and Fin so much, and they also have such great banter.
The hijacked epilogues always leaves me wanting the next book asap, so I’ll be waiting 🤭
Finley has had a long term boyfriend for a few years but now they are also long distance since they are going to colleges located 21 hours apart. Griffin has always been in love with Finley and hates that he’s not her boyfriend. He feels like he missed his chance with her but he’ll settle with friendship. Donkey’s boyfriends gives her an ultimate to stop being his friend. Yikes! When Finley finds out she’s pregnant, Griffin drives her the 21 hours to tell her boyfriend. Well, surprise surprise - he’s an idiot and wants nothing to do with the baby. This is Griffin’s chance and he takes it. This story has several ups and downs and will keep you wanting to read more and more.
after the first book the author promised the other ones wouldn’t be so sad and she LIED so it gets one star off. but overall this book was great and it made me like the character that i’ve hated most the whole time
So many emotions in this book. Read it all in one sitting. Loved their relationship and how they were so connected with each other. Always recommend the books. 🥰
ARC Review - 1000% YES! Kelsie never disappoints! There is so much to love about this one! Griffin and Finley are a perfect match. The chemistry between them is off the charts! 🔥 Griffin has her back through all the heartache and trauma. Loved this one so much!
I was so excited for Finley and Griffin’s story but it wasn’t what I expected. I enjoyed the characters, and it is about time they got together, but I feel like their story got rushed because of the pregnancy plotline. But I’m also not a big fan of the accidental pregnancy trope. It’s actually one of my least favorite tropes and usually makes me not want to read the book. That didn’t happen with this one, but it did make me like the story less. But the story was still filled with the emotional turmoil I’ve come to expect from a Kelsie Rae book and I did enjoy the story. I still really like this series, even though this one wasn’t my favorite and I can’t wait for the next one.
I really liked this one, it’s a great continuation of the series. I love how sweet griffin is and am so excited to finally have his book! Finley reminds me so much of Blake from the don’t let me series and her mom Kate, it’s like she the perfect mix of the two.
Will write more detailed when my brain is braining🤪
I really enjoyed this one and I can’t wait to read the next one! I have a feeling a little broken will be my favorite ❤️💔
This book had me in ALL the feels. This whole series so at has broken my heart piece by piece but it is so damn good!
Griffen has been plying hockey for his college team and is working towards the NHL as his next step. Things might be taking a big turn so he’s been preparing for that now for a while. When his best friend’s sister asks for a place to stay since there was a fire at her apartment things start to change even more with him.
Finley needs a place to crash for a while until her apartment is fixed so moving in with her brother’s best friend was not even a question. They’ve been friends for years so it shouldn’t be weird at all to live together. She wasn’t expecting to be interested in what she’s seeing but at the same time she has a boyfriend so she needs to keep her hands to herself.
Finleys boyfriend is really uncomfortable with them being friends so Finley takes a step back from their friendship so she can save her relationship. When she finds out she’s pregnant and tells Drew, she was very shocked with his response. She decides that it’s time for their relationship to end and she starts a new life preparing for this new life.
Griffen stays by Finleys side the entire time. Most of everyone that knows about the baby even think it’s his by how involved he is. When she goes through the most life changing experience of her life, they both realize that they can’t live without each other. They finally let the love they’ve been holding for each other out in the open. I adored this book so much and I can’t wait for the next one.
Another book that had me crying! After reading the TW I was on edge, I wanted to believe that the warning was deceiving, but it wasn’t and it was the best heartbroken story I have ever read. It was perfectly made! I ate this book up in 24 hours!!! It’s unputdownable, there’s no way you can take a break. It’s Phenomenal!!!! Grif and Fin are perfect for each other. The banter, the angst, everything was perfectly written. Fin is independent, speaks her mind and deals with her condition like a pro. Grif is a protector, a cinnamon role and just like his dad he is 🌶️🌶️🌶️. But he is also a fixer, a protector and he will do anything for Fin. He has been in love with her forever, and when there’s a chance, he goes for it, even when it mean betraying everything he knows. Totally perfect! A must read! I recommend you read this in order, but the way it’s written you can read it as a standalone! Is perfection 🧑🍳💋
Thank you Kelsie for knowing I can’t wait until release day to get read it and for spoiling me early 💕🫠
SPOILERS !!!!!!! I don’t know how to really feel about this book.. Finley and Griffin loved them both in the other books she has before this one. Their chemistry is great from what we see but this book just felt messy to me. I love Griffin. He’s one of my favorite characters, but this entire book just felt meh. I am a huge fan of Kelsie Rae’s books. I will definitely be continuing it, but this is the first three stars. I’ve given her all the others are five stars for me. I honestly think it was just a pregnancy trope that just didn’t work for me. I’m not a big fan of those. I also went into this book not knowing that was the main plot.
I also have an issue with Griffin and her getting together immediately after her and drew break up. I do like that Griffin is by her side through all of it, but I don’t think they should’ve got together that fast.
I finally was able to be like Griffin and her will make great parents, especially how Griffin grew up. Then she loses the baby all that and there’s like 45 minutes left of the audio and that’s how it basically ends and then them on a beach. I was pretty pissed off at the ending. I am happy they’re together because their chemistry is great, but this whole book was just Messy.

4 star Review A Little Secret (The Little Things #4) by Kelsie Rae
Book four in the latest series from Kelsie Rae was a well written and entertaining read.
This is Griffin Thorne is LAU's hockey captain and Finley’s story and I was invested from the start.
Being his best friend’s sister, Finley is off limits to Griffin, not to mention she has a boyfriend. However that doesn’t stop Griffin from having feelings for her.
The heartbeats who the heart wants and to be fair Finleybis attracted to Griffin too.
What follows was an entertaining story as lines are finally crossed. These two were meant for one another and it was entertaining to watch as their relationship progressed.
Needed this Griff and Fin book! Kelsie Rae nails it every time.
The TWs couldn’t include pregnancy loss without it being a major spoiler so I understand. I had hoped the situation wouldn’t end that way… but as someone with a history of traumatic loss it was a tough part of the book and I had to walk away for a little bit to clear my head.
