I went into Endless Pursuit expecting sparks, but Bethany Rosa gave me a full-on wildfire. This book is the fifth in her Pursuit series, and it feels like the culmination of everything I love about her writing, there’s sharp banter, sizzling tension, and characters who make you want to scream at them and hug them in the same breath.
Poppy Whittaker is the kind of FMC you root for instantly. She’s sweet, determined, and has her life mapped out: marriage, babies, happily-ever-after. Enter Braden Butcher, the arrogant divorce attorney who doesn’t believe in love, doesn’t do relationships, and seems hell-bent on dismantling every one of Poppy’s carefully laid plans. Their dynamic is pure chaos in the best way, every encounter is a clash of wills, every conversation a battle of stubbornness and attraction.
What makes this book so addictive is the push-pull tension. Braden is infuriating, but he’s also magnetic, and Rosa writes him with such unapologetic swagger that you can’t look away. Poppy, meanwhile, is immune to his charm or at least she tries to be. Watching her resist, falter, and ultimately confront her own desires is both hilarious and heart-wrenching.
The romance here is spicy, but layered with vulnerability. Rosa doesn’t just give us steam; she gives us two people who have to wrestle with their own fears and expectations before they can even think about love. Braden’s cynicism and Poppy’s idealism collide in ways that feel both inevitable and surprising.
By the time I reached the end, I was grinning, swooning, and maybe a little teary. Endless Pursuit is about more than enemies-to-lovers fireworks, it’s about finding love where you least expect it, even when it terrifies you.
A must-read if you love fiery banter, arrogant heroes who secretly crave connection, and heroines who refuse to settle for less than everything.
A huge thank you to Bethany Rosa for the early copy!
