This is a spicy, slow burn romance series recommended for readers 18+

We Have ✅ M/F Romance ✅ Fantasy ✅ Strong FMC ✅ Mystery ✅ Plot Twists ✅ Found Family ✅ Mental Health ✅ Slow Burn
Let me start by saying: one day—LESS than a day, actually. That’s how long it took me to devour this book. I could not put it down, and trust me, it’s been a while since a book had me this hooked.
The FMC? I loved her. She’s strong, relatable, and her struggle with crippling anxiety was so well-written that I felt everything she was going through. Watching her work through her mental health issues and take control was powerful. The author did a phenomenal job making her feel real—I connected with her on such a deep level, and I know so many readers will too.
And the plot? Whew. I’m suuuuper critical when it comes to ratings because I rate books based on how they make me feel. I don’t need perfect grammar or extra detailed world-building—I need a plot alll the plot.... a great fucking plot that I can't predict, and this one delivered. It kept me guessing the ENTIRE time, and that almost never happens. I had exactly one “called it!” moment in the entire book, and that’s unheard of for me. UNHEARD OF!!
The slow-burn romance added just the right amount of tension, and the mystery had me turning pages like my life depended on it. And the plot twist at the end? Nope... didn't see it... AT FUCKING ALL. My jaw was on the floor. However.... I am 100% pissed because that cliffhanger has me desperate for the next book.
While I think I see where this is going, I’m keeping my fingers, legs, and toes crossed that this might move into a why choose because, given the plot twist, I’d love to see a redemption arc.
This book gave me everything I crave in a fantasy read: strong characters, emotional depth, unpredictable twists, and a plot that keeps me on my toes. If you love fantasy that makes you feel—that makes you frustrated, angry, hopeful, and excited all at once—The Diamond Palace needs to be on your TBR. If you have a book hangover from another series - this one will definitely help with that.
I have to say: great fucking job to the author. This book is amazing, and I seriously hope this is someones next great read!
WOW!! I absolutely ATE UP this book. Rarely does the ending of a book leave me stunned to where I just want to immediately start rereading but this one had my jaw at the floor for the first time since I read fourth wing. When I was reading this book I was mad I had to put it down and go to work. By the end I thought, “did I finish this book or did it finish me?!?”
Rain, our FMC, is in her mid 20s, working dead end jobs, and managing bad anxiety when a male who says he is from another world pushes her through a portal to a world where she is a long lost princess. From there, Rain goes on a quest to unleash her magic and learn about the world she is supposed to save according to a prophecy. Rain is a very relatable character and I absolutely loved her!
The MMC and FMC had such a slow burn that I ate it up!! The plot was incredible. The world was stunning and I craved the scenes with Crescia’s which is this world’s familiars who only bond to magic Weidlers when their magic manifests. There was also a perfect Amon t of humor sprinkled throughout this book!
Again, that ending had me shocked and stunned! I was relieved I didn’t have to wait too long to dive into book 2! I cannot wait to see how the next book unfolds and what TM Kirk writes next!
Read this if you like:
❤️🔥 princess of a realm with magic ❤️🔥 unique magic system ❤️🔥 world with familiars ❤️🔥 prophecy to restore the realms magic ❤️🔥 forced proximity ❤️🔥 found family ❤️🔥 steamy scenes ❤️🔥 mental health rep ❤️🔥 well developed side characters ❤️🔥 political intrigue
This book made Kirk an auto buy author for me and I’m so excited to see what is in store next for her!
The Diamond Palace by T.M. Kirk landed on my TBR by chance—thank you, TBR spinner—and I’m feeling torn about it. This was one of those reads where I wasn’t fully sold, but I also wasn’t completely disengaged.
Let’s start with our FMC, Rain Solis. At 25, I expected more consistency from her character. At times she felt fierce and empowering, showing glimpses of strength and independence, but in other moments, she read more like a naïve teenager making emotionally reactive decisions. Given her traumatic and challenging upbringing, I expected her choices to reflect more caution or survival instinct. Instead, her development often contradicted her backstory. It wasn’t until about 33% in that the plot started to hook me, and by the final quarter, I was genuinely invested—until that ending. (No, not the cliffhanger—I’ve survived worse.) I’m talking about a particular moral choice Rain makes that felt deeply out of character and frustrating, especially after she had just sworn not to become the kind of person who would do such a thing.
As for our MMC, Sin—he checks the “brooding love interest” box: closed-off, moody, a bit of a jerk early on, yet still instantly drawn to Rain. Their relationship felt a little too instalust for my taste, and I never fully connected with him. The romance, while present, didn’t sweep me off my feet.
Plot-wise, the book leaned heavily on some well-worn tropes—“the chosen one,” the hidden royalty reveal, etc.—and I found myself rolling my eyes more than once (especially during the whole “You’re a lost princess!” moment). However, I’ll give credit where it's due: the magic system was unique, and Rain’s bond with her crascia, Jenni, added a compelling and emotional layer to the story.
I’m honestly unsure whether I’ll continue the series. I’m not entirely out—but I’m definitely not all in.
After reading the last word on the page of the book and frantically searching for answers, I am left with wanting book 2. All I kept repeating to myself was "This can't be the end. It doesn't end this way, no way, nope, not accepting that!" haha.
This book grabbed you from the beginning as you learned about a new realm, Rivella, and that Rain is the lost princess. Then it had a slow section in the middle while learning more about Rivella, new friends, and culture within the realm, but boy, oh boy! It picks back up and so much happens for Rain, Sin, and Dey. There is love, fighting, magic, found family, hidden agendas, and of course some steamy interactions. I can only imagine where book 2 will take us next and I will definitely be ready for the rollercoaster of events that will unfold!
Thank you so much, T.M. Kirk, for allowing me to receive the ARC for this incredible new series!
I really enjoyed this book! I normally read A LOT of spice, but The Diamond Palace kept me interested without the in-your-face smuttiness I'm used to. Some happens and it's glorious, but by and large, the plot twists, magical abilities, special powers, world building, and adorable little creatures are what kept me from being able to put this book down.
The Diamand Palace by T.M. Kirk was a beautifully written story following Rain as she is brought into a magical world by a father she thought had abandoned her as an infant. He is also the king. As Rain struggles with this new world and her new identity as a princess, she must figure out the hidden agenda of those around her, while she tries to find a way to leave.
I absolutely loved this book! I loved the way it intertwined common fantasy elements with unique twists that made the story that much more amazing! The magic system was unique, and I loved how it was all laid out. This was just such great first book of its series, I'm so excited to see where the next book leads. Especially after that heartbreaking ending!
This book was a brilliantly written, epic journey. Rain was an incredibly relatable character and a fiery twist on the orphan-turned-savior story. Watching her work through her myriad of emotions in a new world while desperately trying to grasp what she was deprived of was such a journey.
I gasped, I smirked, I had to set the book down several times and just revel in the storyline. I fell in love with these characters - main and side characters alike.
Without spoiling too much, just know that this book is full of twists and turns, shadows and secrets, that leaves you wondering who you can trust and who knows the truth.
The absolute shocker of an ending leaves me needing the next book ASAP.
Note: This book does include explicit scenes and language.
"In the heart of Rivella, where magic and danger intertwine, Rain Solis stands at the crossroads of destiny and desire."
Rain grew up in the foster care system in New Jersey and has made her own little space in the world with her bestie and roommate. Until a mysterious stranger Deylan appears with a promise of learning about her history, if she would just step through this magical portal. Or be pushed through, minor detail. It's in the magical realm of Rivella that Rain discovers she is a lost princess, taken by her mother and hidden in the human realm, where her father, the King, has been looking for her ever since. Rain is the key to restoring the leylines that contain their magic, but are the King's motives genuine or is there a hidden agenda?
When she arrives Rain is drawn to the handsome and charming Dey, but it's Dreisin (aptly nicknamed Sin), the brooding General with a dark history and gruff attitude, who creates a spark and starts a slow burn romance that will have you screaming for more! As Rain's magical abilities manifest she and Sin work to unravel the mysteries around the past. There is political intrigue, betrayal, mystery, dangerous trials, you name it.
This is a fantastic debut and as Book 1 in a series it definitely sets the scene for even more dramatic events to unfold in Book 2. No spoilers, but let me just say this ended with twists I didn't see coming, a few gasps and a few tears. I refuse to believe what happened happened until I read Book 2
I, for once, am completely speechless and am struggling to form words to say how absolutely incredible this book is 😍
✨Hate to lovers ✨Forced Proximity ✨Found Family ✨Fantasy ✨Bada$$ FMC ✨Touch her and 💀 ✨Mental health rep
I can never put into words what I look for in a book… I just know, ya know 👀🤣 and this book had it all… the spice, the banter, the plot twists, the angst, THAT DAMN CLIFFHANGER, were all absolutely superb 👌🏻
TM Kirk’s writing style just had this way of sucking me in, her world building within this fantasy novel is astonishingly good! There’s a reason behind every little detail 🔥
Rain is a complete badass, I mean… this girl is feisty, soft and can banter her way into Dreisin’s breeches 😈🤣 and DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON THE PHENOMENAL MMC SIN!! 😍😍 i have never wanted to be a fictional character more than reading about him and his dirty freaking mouth 🥵🤯
“ʙᴜʀɴ ꜰᴏʀ ᴍᴇ, ʙᴀʙʏ.”
When I tell you that this has become my new favourite book, it has! I have a book hangover the size of sun and I AM NOT OK!! 😭🤣 I’m literally debating right now whether to go back and start it from the beginning again because IT WAS THAT FREAKING GOOD!!
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to try and sell my soul to TM Kirk for book 2 🔥
This book.. this… book. I know it’s only January but pretty sure this is the best book I will read all year. It left me gutted. I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t stop reading. Book 2 cannot get here soon enough. Also, I need this book turned into a movie or series!
Rain is the best FMC. Walking with her as she navigates life in Jersey to discovering a whole new world. The world building in the book is perfection. The variety of characters…*chef’s kiss* The slow burn between Rain and a certain MMC burns so good. The roller coasters you will experience in your love and hatred of characters leaves you on the edge of your seat. Rain is left with so many choices and walking with her as she navigates them is such a gift. So without giving spoilers (and trust me, I’m so close to just not caring if I do), RUN -don’t walk - and read this book!
Wow! What a ride this book takes you on. From the beginning with learning about this magical other dimension existing through the whole stay was amazing. I didn’t want to stop learning about Rivella and the magic. Getting to see the elemental games was fun and I enjoyed getting to learn more about the elemental magic wielders and had me on the edge of my seat. I didn’t want the book to end but I cannot wait to see what comes next because I know it’s going to be great!
This story is well-crafted and has a captivating ability to draw readers into its world. The plot features numerous twists and turns that contribute to its uniqueness. Additionally, the fast-paced narrative keeps the experience engaging and enjoyable. Overall, it offers a compelling reading experience.
This an interesting story. The plot line was great but a little to get where it going. The action and love connection was chef kiss. I was was emotional destroyed at the end. Overall good read I would recommend.
Be careful of the man behind the curtain~ A very accurate description of what Rain needs to do when she’s (almost forcefully) pulled into a realm of magic where her father’s the king, she doesn’t know the language, and people aren’t what they seem. A very high fantasy (and low spice) story that I think everyone will enjoy. Looking forward to reading the next book ~^^
We meet Rain Solis in her Jersey apartment, days away from a life-changing audition with the New York Philharmonic. But Rain isn’t just battling stage fright—she’s dealing with crippling anxiety, and her panic attacks are depicted with an honesty that’s both painful and validating. When the audition spirals into disaster, Rain’s world is upended by a stranger named Deylan, who reveals that her life isn’t what it seems. She’s not just a violinist, but a lost princess from another realm. Rain is not your typical chosen one. She’s anxious, angry, vulnerable, and sharp-tongued which makes her unforgettable. Watching her deal with panic attacks and power plays is just as compelling as the sword fights and court drama. Her foster sister Jenn offers grounding warmth and dry humor, and their sisterhood is one of the emotional pillars of the novel. It's a slow-burning romance, full of emotional turmoil and complex moral questions. Deylan walks a fine line between protector and manipulator, and the push and pull between them is magnetic. When I first started this book I was thinking “wtf is this & what kind of fantasy am I going to be reading” but at the end all I can think of is “ how long do I have to wait to have more of this beautifully written story invading my thoughts again”
This is such a captivating story & I am honored to have read it has an ARC. I didn’t want to put it down and now I crave more and more.
This is the type of book that can pull you out of any reading slump!
New Jersey to The diamond palace. That’s all I got to say without giving to much into the book.
I can’t wait to see what everyone else this of this book once it’s fully released!!
Spice level: 🌶🌶🌶 from me World building: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Character development: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Character growth: she's still on it 🤩
I absolutely devoured this book! The world building is on point. The fresh take on elemental powers and magical beings is something I did not expect. T. M. Kirk managed to pull me in from page one with her fine weaved words and mental health representation in the form of the main character. I'm so happy I got to read this book. The attraction between Rain and the male character is just the perfect addition to this fantasy world the author has created and transported me in.
I can't wait for the next one, because that ending!!!!
A Glittering Triumph: The Diamond Palace by T.M. Kirk Will Steal Your Heart
Some books whisper their magic. Others grab you by the hand, drag you into their world, and refuse to let you go. The Diamond Palace by T.M. Kirk is firmly in the latter category—a dazzling, pulse-pounding fantasy romance that sweeps you into an intoxicating realm of magic, longing, and destiny.
If you love stories that sink their hooks into your soul, characters who make you swoon, and worlds so vividly imagined they feel real, then clear your weekend, because once you step inside the Diamond Palace, you won’t be leaving anytime soon.
A Heroine to Root For: Rain is everything I want in a fantasy protagonist—fierce yet vulnerable, uncertain yet determined, utterly human even as she discovers her extraordinary heritage. From the first chapter, when we meet her navigating the harsh realities of New Jersey’s foster system, I was invested. She isn’t some pampered, naïve princess who stumbles into a throne; she’s a survivor.
And when a stranger arrives, offering her a path to the truth she’s been denied her whole life, Rain doesn’t just walk through that door—she barrels through it, straight into a world teeming with danger, court intrigue, and a prophecy that could change everything.
Rain’s journey is about more than magic and crowns. It’s about identity, belonging, and the terrifying exhilaration of stepping into your own power. Watching her transformation from lost girl to formidable woman is nothing short of thrilling.
Let’s talk about the world-building, because OH MY STARS.
Rivellan is a land that breathes—a place shimmering with magic, filled with creatures both wondrous and monstrous. T.M. Kirk doesn’t just describe this world; she immerses you in it. The Diamond Palace itself is a character in its own right—elegant, mysterious, and hiding more secrets than even its long-lost princess could have imagined.
Every page pulses with sensory detail. The way the magic crackles in the air. The weight of history in the palace’s glistening halls. The undercurrents of power, politics, and danger. The sheer grandeur of it all. It’s the kind of world you dream about long after closing the book.
One of my favorite things about The Diamond Palace is how seamlessly it weaves romance and epic fantasy. This isn’t just about longing glances and forbidden kisses—though trust me, you’ll get plenty of those. It’s also about war, betrayal, and the fight for survival.
The prophecy isn’t some abstract concept—it’s a ticking clock, a looming shadow over Rain’s journey. The magic in Rivellan is fading, and Rain might be the key to restoring it. But at what cost?
T.M. Kirk keeps the tension high, the twists sharp, and the emotional stakes gut-wrenching. Just when you think you know where things are headed, she yanks the rug out from under you—and you love her for it.
Final Verdict: READ THIS BOOK NOW If you’re a fan of Carissa Broadbent, Laura Thalassa, and Holly Black, then congratulations—you’ve just found your next obsession.
The Diamond Palace is everything I crave in a fantasy romance: ✔ A strong, relatable heroine ✔ A world so immersive you can taste the magic ✔ High-stakes adventure and heart-wrenching twists ✔ Romantic tension so thick you could cut it with a jeweled dagger
This is the kind of book you stay up way too late reading. The kind that makes you want to reread your favorite passages just to feel that moment again. The kind that leaves you counting the days until the next installment.
T.M. Kirk has delivered a masterpiece, and I, for one, am ready to pledge fealty to the Diamond Palace forever.
It's close to midnight and I want to swear. I stayed up reading this thing because I couldn't bear to put it down and go to sleep like nothing mattered, and now my eyes are bleary, my thoughts are chaotic and my body is filled with a sort of bliss that has been missing in my life lately - the pleasure of really savoring a good book.
Also I have work tomorrow and I know I probably will be useless, and running around with half a brain, because I will be revisiting this story.
The Diamond Palace is a portal fantasy with a chosen one trope. But this is one of the instances where tropes do more harm than good, I feel, because reducing this intricately woven story to just bare words like this seems inadequate.
The book is written in first person POV and the FMC is very relatable and likable. The anxiety rep is an added touch that was handled well in how the author doesn't shy away from describing it and yet, having that ‘disability’ in no way impairs the FMC from navigating and thriving in a foreign world. We need more stories of neurodivergent MCs
The MMC is a grumpiest of the grumpy curmudgeons, with a marshmallow heart that isn't revealed until later in the story. Their romance burns in a good way throughout the book.
The plot, the characters, the romance, the world building, the pacing, the slow teasing out of the story is done masterfully. And the writing just happens to be beautiful.
The last part of the book is where the pace really picks up, the twists, the turns, the discoveries gave me a whiplash and I went back for more. Needless to say the end is a gut wrenching cliffhanger.
For the life of me, I cannot understand how there could be such a low number of reviews for this excellentl book. I mean, this is right up there, with all the popular romantasies which have achieved a cult following.
This is such a great read. Rain, an emotionally damaged orphan from Jersey gets drawn into a magical realm as she tells her story. "I will never be fine. People like me don't get to be fine." Thus begins an emotional rollercoaster where the action is nonstop, an imaginative world comes to life, and a host of interesting and complex characters weave a twisted plot of magic and political intrigue.
The tension and mystery the author creates is almost too much. Slow-burn romance? This isn't the usual lack of communication and emotional projection that keeps an FMC and MMC apart, as told in many romantasies. There are secrets that are too devastating to be told and damaged hearts that need time to heal before romance can bloom. In the meantime, there is so much action going on that we hardly have time to think of romance until that one, well, several, special moments happen.
Mixed in with the emotional devastation, mystery, and the political intrigue is the counterpoint of fun banter and sly humor. There were so many times I had to stop and reread a passage I found particularly forceful...or funny. I loved everything about this book. It has all the elements one would love in a fantasy novel, and all of them executed winningly. Paced to perfection, written with sensitivity, and filled with excitement, this is one book that I couldn't get enough of. The next book in the series will immediately be at the top of my TBR.
💎 Magic, destiny, and desire collide in T.M. Kirk’s The Diamond Palace. Rain Solis is the heroine we’ve been waiting for—strong, stubborn, and vulnerable in all the best ways. Her journey to reclaim her place in a crumbling world is beautifully layered with danger, hope, and one infuriatingly attractive general.
Dreisin’s every word is a dagger wrapped in silk—sharp, tempting, and impossible to resist. Their dynamic is the perfect blend of push-and-pull, and every interaction left me breathless. Kirk’s ability to build tension (both magical and romantic) is nothing short of mesmerizing.
✨ Fans of A Court of Thorns and Roses and Throne of Glass—this one’s for you. Prepare to be enchanted.
This book was wonderful! I loved it so much but the ending was a hell of a doozy. 😩 The aithor describes everything beautifully sometimes bordering on too much for my ADHD brain but I read it.
Rain is a wonderfully developed character who starts off shut down and done with the world. Understandably. She finds herself being dragged to another world where you father rules with and iron fist and allows poverty to run rampant among those who are deemed unworthy.
She rages at the injustice and the uncaring stance Dey has about the situation. She sets her sights on Sin who is an Alpha asshole but there are BIG, HUGE secrets Sun is holding from her.
When she finally learns the language of the land she keeps it secret, pretending to be a dumb Earth mortal. Loose lips make for good eavesdropping when words are so willingly spilled around someone deemed lesser than and unknowing of the language. Memories start to plague her, the foreign words making sense now, leading her to learn some secrets that have been kept.
THAT TWIST THOUGH!
Looking forward to book 2!!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
The Diamond Palace truly is a hidden gem! (See what I did there? 😉) I was immediately immersed into the main character Rain from page one. I could feel her struggles with her anxiety and rage like it was my own. I also think that the implementation of the impact of the foster care system on a child and the continued impact in adulthood is not a common theme in modern literature and it is so incredibly important to see that inclusion!
I love the worldbuilding and character development in this book!! From the intricate yet very simple magic system to the complex characters throughout the novel, I feel like it would be difficult to not fall in love. Speaking of which, Dreisin can have my entire heart! 😍
I thought I had this story figured out once I got close to the end but...I could not have been more wrong. The last 10 chapters of this book really feels like being drenched in ice cold water.
I don't think I can recommend this book enough. The romance, the mystery, the characters, the secondary world, the magic, this story has it all and I can't wait to see what book two has in store 😁❤️🖤
I’ve just finished reading The Diamond Palace and… quite frankly, I am not okay! I have so many questions who is that girl in some kind of coma, and why?! Is Sin okay?? What even are her other powers? And honestly… what the hell did I just read?! (In the best possible way.)
The humour in this book was wild, and I absolutely loved it. The banter, the energy chef’s kiss. But seriously, does Rain ever make it back to the human world or not?! I need answers.
There were a few aspects that didn’t totally work for me mainly the large number of unusual names and words, which made it a bit tricky to follow at times, especially with my dyslexia. I also found some parts a little chaotic and hard to keep track of, but despite that, I still really enjoyed the read.
At times it gave serious Powerless (by Lauren Roberts) vibes, with maybe a dash of The Golden Compass thrown in and I mean that in the best way possible.
I genuinely cannot wait for the next instalment. Hopefully, I get the answers I’m desperately looking for!

🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆 The Diamond Palace is full of magic & danger around every corner. This is a different read than what I normally would read, but it was a good different. A lot to take in & action packed. I loved how Rain grew up in New Jersey. I never read a book that started based in New Jersey, I am from New Jersey myself. I thought it was pretty cool! Rain is the long loss princess that she had no clue about. She was then pulled into the realm of Diamond Palace. I vision Diamond Palace while reading this, it’s beautiful! I loved the magnetic pull Rain had toward Dey & Sin. I am not sure which man I liked better. I’d have to say I’m torn, they are both amazing. It was full of romance, magic & fantasy & the plot had a lot to take in. A slow burn romance… I totally didn’t see the ending coming but left me wanting more.
Very well written & amazing characters! Everything was so well throughout which made it truly magical!
This story was a roller coaster for me. The start of it was a bit unrelatable and felt very fake. Not the writing, just the storyline. Then, as I read on, I became more interested in Rain and who she was inside the Diamond Palace. I enjoyed how we learn about Rains past right along with her. We are also kept in the dark regarding all the secrets within the kingdom. The spice was spicing, and the character banter was well written. I did feel like the ending was rushed, as so many things happened in the last few chapters, leaving me with so many questions. I supposed that is why there is a second book. Overall, I enjoyed the read and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Romantasy.
ARC Review This book had the most stunning setting with ethereal descriptions, in a world divided by power and fueled by magic. It's single POV, slow burn, and ends in a cliffhanger - you have been warned!
Overall the story flowed well after a slow start for me, but I am glad I stuck it out, because once the true mmc shows up I ended up really enjoying it!
Put this one on your TBR if you're into: *Court Intrigue * Fated Destiny * Discovery of Immense Power * Violent Area Trial * Tattoos! (Swoon) * Elemental Powers and Familiars * Grumpy, Sexy, Delicious MMC
2 Chilli pepper rating. Super slow burn, but I could imagine Dreisen topless aaallll day long.
When I tell you I ignored everything to read this, I mean my husband scare me walking through the door because I didn't realize it was time for him to come home hahaha. This book is definitely in my top ten romantasy reads of the year! It was like FBAA meets ACOTAR and something else that I can't quite put my finger on. I cant even being to explain how much I loved this an am SCREAMING for book 2. This was spicy, enemies to lovers, has a lost princess, hilarious BFFs, animal companions, elemental games, twists and betrayals, SO MANY things! I have to stop or I'll spoil it. But OMG was this so stinking good!!!
What a story! Where do I even start with this? The world building was simply incredible, the characters and the depth the author gave to each and every one of them made me feel every single emotion possible. And when Rain finally found her love with Sin.... Oh Sin! He is simply 🥵 and would literally tear down the world for Rain. Their love story had me tearing up at times and I felt everything that they felt. But that ending!!!! What have you done to me?!!! I need book 2 right now!! I highly recommend this book but be warned, it ends on one hell of a cliffhanger but that will only make you thirsty for more!! Bring on the next book!!!
