Kennedy needs the perfect scoop to save her career, and Cameron’s mysterious life is the story of a lifetime.
But her quest for the truth becomes complicated when sparks fly between them.
Determined to stay professional, Kennedy tries to ignore her growing feelings -- but Cameron’s undeniable charm and protective nature make that almost impossible . . .
As danger brews and secrets unravel, Cameron and Kennedy must decide -- Will they risk everything to protect their hearts -- or will their love become the key to overcoming the forces that threaten to tear them apart?
A lovely romance with secrets, chemistry, discovery, an enchanted island, drama, action, great banter, some lovely twists, wonderful romance, friends and family, and a great HEA.
With Max finally starting to believe in the magic of the island he's worried as he's got another of his close friends due to visit. But despite his warnings Cameron is a scientist and believes he can prove there's no magic. And though he does feel an attraction to the lady arriving on the island at the same time he knows he could never mate with a human (it's forbidden by the laws of his clan, and he's the reluctant heir). He's spent years trying to find a scientific explanation for the shifter "magic" so he life his life how he wants to and let his brother take the leader role (I really liked his brother, Zach).
Kennedy had seen Cameron at an event and had a feeling that he was hiding something in his locked lab. She's persuaded her newspaper to let her go undercover on the island to find out his secrets, but finds she's more attracted to him than is professionally suitable making her story difficult. Though there might be another story she can also investigate, that of the island making people fall in love.
As they keep finding themselves at the same places, they're drawn to each other more and more until he finally gives in and kisses her before warning her that if given the chance he'd do it again. She doesn't want her emotions to get in the way of her story but how will she react when she finds out his secrets?
I loved this and couldn't put it down. We get to see Keith and Stella again as they are now living on the island building housing for the staff; and I can't wait to find out what will happen to Harrison, who's gone to the island to help with security, in the next book; and look forward to Max finding love of his own (he deserves it with all the stress the island's given him).

Finally, Max is starting to worry about the weird things that have been happening on the Island. Although, he hasn’t quite admitted it to Mateo who is the liaison with Max & Bermuda. Of the eight friends from college who have a lot in common, after this book, there is only Harrison and Max left. Cameron is the scientific one of the group and he is worried about Max and what he is ‘blathering’ on about the island. Cam is the son of the leader of the dragons and he is supposed to take over from his father and marry a suitable woman. He has spent a lot of his life working on trying to explain the so called “magic’ of the shift to dragon. Kennedy grew up near Milwaukee and she ‘won the trip to the island on a game show.’ We know almost right away that this isn’t true, that it is a cover for her to learn more about Cameron and his ‘secret’ lab and results. She is attracted to Cam but won’t let that get in the way of her story. We get to still see Keith & Stella as they are still working and living on the island, helping Max, and it is a good thing too! ;).
Cam believes it all to be nonsense, but, boy is he proved wrong. I laughed, giggled, squeed, needed my AC for the steam, romance as well as the worry as with all of the books, there is a hidden agenda of someone else who wants to hurt/bother the female lead. I even chewed on my nails in worry at a few points in the story and I found it amazing how they dealt with some of the crazy things that happened. The Island seems to be getting more powerful as with each couple it seems to be waking even more. I feel really bad for Cameron as his parents are pieces of work. But, I really like his brother Zach and wish he gets a book. He deserves love too, as he is a sweetie. I can’t wait to see what happens with Harrison in the next book.

Secrets of the Dragon's Heart by Serena Meadows is a breathtaking addition to the Mysteries of Dragon’s Island series that blends passion, danger, and mystery with sizzling chemistry. I couldn’t put it down once I started!
Cameron Sullivan’s internal struggle is palpable—he’s a dragon shifter, bound by a destiny he’s desperate to avoid. Retreating to a tropical island, he’s hoping to escape the weight of his clan’s expectations. Enter Kennedy Fisher, an investigative journalist with her own goals, determined to expose Cameron’s secrets for the sake of her career. What follows is an exciting, emotional rollercoaster as the two of them struggle between the undeniable attraction that pulls them together and the secrets that keep them apart.
Kennedy is strong-willed and driven, but it’s clear that Cameron’s charm and the growing connection between them throw her off balance. Cameron’s protective instincts and his vulnerability made him so easy to root for, and Kennedy’s determination to uncover the truth—no matter the cost—keeps things intriguing. Their chemistry is off the charts, and as they uncover dark secrets that threaten their futures, the stakes couldn’t feel higher.
This book is packed with everything I adore: a secretive hero, a sharp and fearless heroine, sizzling romance, and a plot full of twists that keeps you turning pages long into the night. If you’ve been following the Mysteries of Dragon’s Island series, you’re in for an epic ride. And if you haven’t—this one is definitely worth jumping in!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A passionate, page-turning tale that will leave your heart racing.
I'm so glad to get to revisit Heart of the Ocean! It's Max's friend Cameron's turn to visit his old friend, and hopefully get him to see sense again. Cameron is a scientist and analytical thinker who has devoted his life to proving magic doesn't exist (primarily as a means to distance himself from family expectations). Kennedy, a reporter, is determined to discover what she believes Cameron is hiding behind his laboratory doors. She has risked her job (and her boss's) on proving something torrid is going on. When these two meet there are definately sparks but they push then away, each for their own reasons. The dynamics and exchanges between them range from funny to frusterating to intense, yet each one leads them closer to the other emotionally.
The climax in this story (or at least the first one) comes earlier in the book than "notmal" and the resolution is quite innovative and intriguing. Will the draw and chemistry between Cameron and Kennedy be enough to override the deception and barriers to their happiness? Only one way to find out!!
I voluntarily reviewed a gift copy of this book. I strongly recommend reading this series in order even though this is a standalone book. It does contain information that would be spoilers for prior books in the series. Happy Reading Y'all 📚
Cameron went to Max’s island wanted to prove that there is a scientific explanation for what has happened on the island. Kennedy followed him because she thought she could catch him in something illegal so she could expose him because his lab was locked down. He felt an attraction to her when they met on the boat, she hacked in the system to see what Cameron was doing so she could get close and he would tell her everything. Cameron had Max look her up but didn’t find anything because she was asking too many questions. They went on a hike when a tiger was going to attack them Kennedy was supposed to get help but she watched him turn into a dragon and there pictures taken and put in a magazine that done by another reporter but they were able to discredit him. They were mated and married, his brother helped him look up evidence that there used to be humans mated with dragons before.

Max was troubled. He had built a beautiful and successful island resort, but odd things were occurring for the past few months whenever one of his friends arrived to spend time there. Each one of them fell in love and married. So it made him worry about his friend, Cameron Sullivan, who had planned a visit. It was all just very strange. Mateo had kept telling him the island had a mind of its own and affected people and their lives. But strangely, the odd things happen only to his friends and no one else! Max had a suspicion of what might be going on, but couldn’t tell a human the truth about it.
Not interested in becoming the clan leader, Cameron had his mind focused on his research. But an undercover journalist, Kennedy Fisher, sees his presence as a chance for the perfect exposé of what he was up to that would help boost her career. Will becoming attracted to him change her mind? Or will an unintended revelation change their entire future?
This book is awesome and I love it! The island strikes again and Cameron and Kennedy are it’s latest “victims”. He is a friend of Max’s and a scientist out to prove that magic isn’t real. She’s a newspaper reporter looking to find out just what Cameron is up to in his lab. The two are drawn together even though Cameron does his best to fight it. He is destined to take over as leader for his clan and his father insists he must marry within the clan. But they can’t fight destiny and they will be drawn together time and time again until Cameron finally gives in. Danger will reveal the truth but will bring with it a bit of trouble. Kennedy accepts Cameron for who he is and their love will face one last challenge before they are able to get their happily ever after.
I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.
The island strikes again. This time it gets Max's friend Cameron, who has come to the island to debunk Max's growing belief that the island is manipulating people and events. Cameron believes in science, not magic, which is funny considering he is a dragon shifter. His convictions start to erode when he meets Kennedy on the boat trip to the island.
Kennedy is convinced that Cameron Sullivan is hiding something illegal and she is the reporter who is going to find out what it is. But perhaps that tingly feeling she gets around him is indicative of something else - something much more personal. Don't worry, the island's magic will sort them out. I loved Secrets of the Dragon's Heart : Book 6 of Mysteries of Dragon's. Cameron is a man of science, trying to deny his birthright. Kennedy is a reporter determined to get the scoop on whatever secret Cameron is keeping and the secrets of the island. Though he is determined that he will never fall in love Cameron cannot resist the pull to Kennedy, she’s his fated mate. Unfortunately, they have to get through her lies and then deal with the other man who is determined to give up their secrets. I loved the story and the characters. I cannot wait for Max to find his mate, I know it’s coming. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

This story has jealousy, revenge, determination, and believed omnipotence. I liked this story as it is a continuation of the Dragon Island Mysteries. Cameron, who doesn’t want to follow tradition and wants to be his own man, wants nothing more than to be on his own. Kennedy, who believes Cameron is someone sinister, gets a trip to the island to prove her beliefs. I love the way they stay together and find ways to prove their love to themselves and Cameron’s clan. A good continuation story.
He’s a Scientist with a secret, she’s an undercover reporter determined to unveil his secret but when they meet, sparks fly!
Can Cameron resist what his Dragon is telling him? Can he resist tradition as it’s told to him or will he fight for the love that the Islands seems to be giving both Kennedy and himself?
With a little twist to the story, this is another great addiction to the series with a wonderful HEA.

This series is absolutely fantastic, and each book is totally different, but has the same ending, and that the island is providing a mate for the couples involved. In this story, it’s Cameron, who is the scientist, and also in line to lead his clan, but his father insisted he must marry within the clan but when fate takes a hand in providing him with Kennedy, their love is tried and tested by the island until eventually, they can’t fight destiny, and they head on towards their happily ever after.

Cameron believes in science and therefore does not believe that the island, Ocean of the Sea, has anything to do with love. Kennedy is convinced Cameron is doing something shady in his lab and is determined to be the reporter that breaks the story. Then they meet: Cameron is suspicious of Kennedy and very attracted to her; Kennedy starts to have doubts about Camerons possible nefarious behaviour and then they go for a hike and everything changes. I really enjoyed this story, as once again the Island has its say. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC copy of the book.
I love this series and each book is completely different despite having the same ending. Namely a HEA and that the island always offers a partner for the couples involved. This time it's the story of Cameron and Kennedy. He is a scientist with a secret, she is an undercover reporter determined to reveal his secret. But as always, the island has its own ideas to help guide them in the right direction. You can't put the book down until you've finished it. I highly recommend it.

This book starts with Max pondering his Island Resort decision on the Heart of the Ocean Island. Who is coming to the island next of his friends? Who is Kennedy? What does she do for a living, and what is she doing when she goes to the island? Why is she looking into Cameron? What does she want with him? What she thinks he is involved in was quite an interesting discovery. When Kennedy and Cameron go on a hike, things get interesting at the end of the trail. What happens when Cameron's brother and parents appear on the island? What causes the Council to be summoned? Read and see!
Heart of the Ocean claimed another victim with Max's friend Cameron. The magic of the island brought Cameron and Kennedy together even though they tried to resist their attration. There's a lot that goes on in this story. Best thing I suggest to do is read it. It's so full of action, adventure, drama, steam, fated mates, island magic, and a HEA for Cameron and Kennedy. Really good book and series. I can't wait for the next one.

The secrets of the island are starting to make Max nervous. All his friends are having weird experiences on the island and finding their fated mates. His friend Cameron comes to the island and meets a reporter named Kennedy. She is out for an expose on him but falls for him instead. Problems come to them, first from an old rival of hers that threatens their lives and then Cameron's parents. I highly recommend this book to all paranormal romance readers.

I'm loving these stories! Kennedy started out with all the wrong intentions but the Island got hold of her as well as Cameron! Even though Cameron wanted to stay away from Kennedy so badly, he just wasn't able to. When they went in, they went ALL in! And the islanders pitched in to make sure everything turned out well. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

What secrets? A secret that was not well kept. Cameron did not want to marry someone that his parents had to approve. Or want to be Clan leader. He wanted someone of his own choosing. Someone that he could love and be with for the rest of his life. I think that he found it and the Island helped him to see that. Very good story. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This was another great fated mates romance for the series but this one was especially fun with our scientist dragon shifter, Cameron, not believing in fate. This really made me giggle ;) Kennedy may be an investigative reporter searching for her next big story, but the tingles she feels in Cameron's presence are telling. With secrets, drama, danger, chemistry and an island determined to have love win, this was a page turner for me :D
The island is at it again, and Cameron is determined to find a scientific reason for what's going on. He is considered a private person, so Kennedy, an investigative reporter, follows him. Their story was intriguing yet complicated by the fact that love and duty butt heads with family expectations. It was a very entertaining read.

Secrets of the Dragon’s Heart (Mysteries of Dragon Island) by Serena Meadows. Cameron is a dragon shifter and Kennedy is a reporter who thinks she has a story about Cameron. They fall in love and Kennedy realises she can’t write anything about Cameron but another reporter has got onto the island and takes a picture of Cameron as a dragon. Now they have to do damage control.
This was another story about Dragon's Island. Max (who owns the island) is getting worried about all the mysteries that keep happening and calls in his friend, Cameron. Of course, Cameron falls for someone on the island, but she is there investigating him. A good story and a very good ending.

Love these stories. This island has some kind of magic. He is there to research the island. She is there to write a story on him. But the island has plans of its own. Romance, intrigue and so much more. It is so much fun reading these stories. You don't want to put them down until finished. I highly recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
The sixth story in the Mysteries of Dragon’s Island, is really funny. Scientists and Dragons definitely don’t match, and this book will prove you wrong. Cameron Sullivan, the scientist, and journalist Kennedy Fisher's story is full of drama and danger, suspense and secrets and romance is spicy hot. I enjoyed reading.

Secrets of the Dragon’s Heart is book six in the series Mysteries of Dragon’s Island by author Serena Meadows. This is a wild one- a lot of secrets and mistakes. All it takes is a little forgiveness and a bit of magic to make all their dreams come true. Enjoy!!
He is so sceptical, but in the end fate wins, or is it the island. She's there for different reasons, but fate wins out with her as well. But the island and his family works together to help them in the end.

Man did I really enjoy this one! Each book in the series gets better and better the further along we come! The relationship and steam between Kennedy and Cameron were exactly what I was looking for getting into this book! I can't wait for the next in the series!
This series just keeps getting better. Cameron came to visit his friend Max and wants to prove the island isn't magical. Kennedy was an undercover journalist trying to figure out what's up with him. She follows him to the island. Loved watching these two fall for each other. Received a free copy.
