Haze and Yami have been through it all during their 10 year relationship/ marriage. From living in the projects without a single dollar to their name to a home built from the ground up swimming in the finer things. Haze had one goal and that was to build the softest of soft lives for the love of his life however during that process the grind had him neglecting the very person he was doing it all for.
Yami is at her wits end and after another forgotten special moment she’s done being Haze’s after though and decides it’s time to walk away. Haze was not trying to experience his wife standing on business and got his sh*t together real quick and now begins the hard work. Yami wasn’t convinced that Haze was a changed man so Haze had to put action behind those words spilling from his mouth.
Over the course of the next several days, Haze and Yami get down and dirty mentally, physically and emotionally because there’s one thing for sure that they can agree on. Anything worth having is worth fighting for.

If sick and tired was a person, it was Yami. She loved her husband Haze something serious, but she was done playing third fiddle behind his career, and his family. When he forgot an important engagement, she was done and wants out! 🤬
When Haze is confronted with how his actions have impacted Yami, the guilt and shame is immediate. He knows there has been a disconnect between the two of them but had no idea it was to this magnitude. Yami strong arms him into counseling, as the only other choice is divorce. 🤷🏾♀️ When their counselor gives them an assignment to complete, Haze is all in, as there is no him without Yami.
I loved how Haze quickly set boundaries with his mother, and manned up to all the things he had let slip during his marriage. He was going to regain the love and trust of his woman if it was the last thing he did. The time and attention that both Haze and Yami put into planning time together helped get them on track, as they were reminded of why they were together in the first place. The love!! 🤩

Niyami is tired of Haze making her last in his life. Niyami gives Haze an ultimatum. Haze refuses to lose his wife. Given 3 days to bring back intimacy Haze takes the challenge. “I ain’t a killa, but don’t push me. The idea of another man even breathing in your direction makes me want to go crazy. I’d rather work my ass off to be the man you need than see you being loved by someone else.” Haze loved Niyami and made sure she felt all 12-inches 😏🥵. This was a cute nasty novella of a rekindled marriage.

This story had me locked in from beginning to end. I loved that it focused on real issues in a marriage and showed this couple being committed to working through the issues together. As a married woman, I completely related to Yami.
Sometimes in marriage when issues arise, you feel like you’re not being heard when you express your grievances and you have to take drastic measures to get a reaction and that was exactly what Yami did. Her putting her foot down and enforcing boundaries with her husband made him realize how much he had slacked off in showing her she was a priority and that he wanted her just as much as in the beginning and it made him have to put action behind his words of doing better. I also enjoyed seeing this couple reconnect and seeing them take therapy seriously.

Naught November Perfection!!!!!
This was a definite perfect choice for Naughty November!!!! Short, sweet and to the point lol. You get all the spice you need lol with lots of passions and tenderness. I love how Haze was truly fighting for his wife and was willing to see his errors and cater to Yami needs.
Yami was strong in forcing him to see her and not just letting him get off easy with sweet talk and gifts, he has to put in that work and I love it!!!!

Another enjoyable read from Kami. I felt the confidence in her pen because she pulled us right into the story and kept us there until the end. I’m not a huge fan of Marriage in Distress but when it’s done like this sign me up. Haze was not playing and I’m glad he took accountability. I’m also glad Niyami recognized that she needed to speak up too. If she wants to give us an update I wouldn’t be mad about it all!!

this one might just be my favorite out of the whole naughty november series, even though i’m over here reading it in september lol.
i loved how yami stood firm about her marriage. she told haze flat out: either we fix this or you let me go. and haze? he stepped up. he didn’t let the stereotype about black families avoiding counseling stop him from doing the work to keep his wife.
the way he was open, vulnerable, and willing to go through with their counselor’s assignment had me smiling. loved that for him, loved that for them. and baby, that assignment was 72 hours away from the world. they made the most out of those 72 hours… and then some 👀.
when it came to the chemistry, kami did a great job of showing the rollercoaster marriage can be, the highs, the lows, and the fight to hold onto love. it felt real, passionate, and like two people truly putting in the work to make their union whole again.

Cha is my marriage wasn't that much danger and my husband f***** the good since out of me 4 3 f****** days you can show enough bet it will be intact again. Now look yummy had every reason to doubt that Hayes was in this for the long haul after being married for so long and basically high school sweethearts but my man's put in work to get right with his wife. He literally f***** her 7 ways from Sunday, This had me hot and bothered because the spice was spicing and I was rooting for them, So the fact that he just ended up being complacent in the relationship but really worked on getting back to where they were and even including her in his career was beautiful.

I can really identify with this story, after being married far almost 34 years I know what this feels like. Niyami didn't feel like a priority in her husbands life. He forgot their anniversary! Valentine's day! Her birthday! She left. Got a hotel room so that he could see what if felt like go without her company. Will be found and took bet back home only on the condition that they went go counseling. Best thing that they could've ever done. They save their marriage. Good with mafia, druglords, cheating, abuse, or delusional exes.

I loved the way that Haze listened to Niyami without feeling judged. I loved how she didn’t bash him but stood firm. This showed the definition of intimacy & gave room to discuss that’s it’s more than sex but sex is still a good chunk of what intimacy is. There was life lessons, reconnecting, & SPICE!!! A lovely quick read!

I enjoyed the novella and I wanted Haze to BFFR. Niyami gave that man grace out of love. Being put last for so long was no longer an option. Niyami’s ultimatum to Haze really wasn’t that bad. Given 3 days to bring back the intimacy Haze knocked the challenge out of the park. I loved how honest Niyami was in therapy and I enjoyed the spice that came along with the rekindled marriage.

I really adore this story about a marriage on the rocks and two people willing to do the work. Haze was hardheaded but when he realized his wife wasn’t playing with him, he put his pride aside. I absolutely loved this love and naughtiness of these two.
