This was an okay read for me nothing too terrible but not great either. Something was just missing for me and I went through it kinda waiting for it to end. I was really disappointed that it was a cliff hanger, cus idk in my mind if it’s a holiday story it ends there lmaoo like the world building was okay but I just didn’t connect to either of them. Tatum wasn’t bad but she wasn’t bright idk what Riley’s affiliation is but if she’s a “civilian” I think it was wild AF to let her help you run away but you didn’t think to protect her??? Yeah get Riley a new homegirl ASAP. I also don’t like when authors shout themselves out in a book through not so carefully placed promotion lmao. Like no shade to Miss Mesha but you really made a gift to your character a first version of the bakers bully??? Like I expect it to be some old ass book like the first version of Oliver Twist lmaoo not no dang book from the authors catalog. Idk if I’ll continue the series but overall this was an okay read. The only real holiday mention was the Christmas wedding other wise this was just a mafia story

First, let me say Don Naeem Bulgari ain’t nothing nice and I’m here for it! I was riding for Tatum this whole damn book, BUT then... This heffa wait till the last moments of the book to piss me clean TF off! Like heated! I was with her, I was team Tatum and Naeem. I’m hoping in the next book that Mesha Mesh is gonna show me that I have it all wrong.

had me hooked

This book started off really strong. I was rooting hard for Tatum, the whole runaway bride had me hooked. I could not put this book down. Tatum and Naeem’s chemistry was instant and could be felt throughout the book.Tatum even showed a little of her savage side and I was here for it but then old girl irritated me in the end and I wanted to throw the iPad. I hope Tatum redeems herself in book two. I also hope we get a little more of her savage side. This does end in a cliffhanger so be prepared to jump right into book two.

Tatum and Naeem, United by Loyalty and Love

It was that ending for me!!!…I was listening to the audio and reading it!!!…This was definitely a well written book and I love how Riley was prepared for her friend to run!!!…The suspense has me cracking up, but my Kindle almost didn’t make it!!!…
Now I want to know why Riley was so prepared for Tatum to run and if she was familiar with Naeem!!!…
The fact that Tatum threw her body over Dallas had me yelling at the book!!!…Sophia was not about to play no games when it came to her brother, but where did her and Khalil go!!!…
Baby, I got questions and Tatum’s daddy worked my nerves!!!…
Did Naeem make it and why did he tell his siblings to just leave him there!!!…
Tatum was moving smartly until the end, so I hope the next book definitely gives more insight on where best friend is and if Dallas survived that car crash!!!…
Monica got exactly what she had coming!!!…How are you angry at the woman and think the man that says he don’t want you, will come back to you!!!…
Marco’s daddy let him know the game you are playing can only end one way and he was not stepping in for him!!!…

Insta Love, Idiocy and Imposter

First time reader of this author.

I’ve read other authors who manage to bring hood mafia’s to the pages with a very well balanced pen. Sadly I don’t think this author was able to capture that blend seamlessly.

For the most part the “hood” aspect seemed forced and too few. Imposters at best.

Make it make sense; one moment (first chapter) Tatum is against Naheem and he’s a enemy. The next moment she’s changed clothes and apparently personality all within 2-3 pages. Now their getting it on and she’s going home with him.

Then we have, oh I didn’t realize you had another side and I can’t picture life without you let’s get married after 3 days.

The only part of this book I liked was when Tatum spoke to old dude and he told her to come home to save Riley. Instead of her being dense and trying to do something on her own she went straight to Naheem.

This just wasn’t for me.

Someone in the reviews said Tatum wasn’t very bright and I agree. Because why tf didn’t Riley just get on the plane too? Like they knew you helped her get away girl. Tatum wasn’t down for that. But regardless I felt like them having sex on the plane threw me off. Because like yall don’t know each other from a can of paint. Idk. I did like this book (hence the four stars) but I can also critique. I also didnt understand the back and forth of her parents will eventually accept it then they said it would be a war then going back to they’ll still love me and then them ending up wanting to kill her ass over it. Like why so much back and forth? I also feel like we could’ve gotten more POVs. I feel like a lot of the outside characters (I.e Dallas) needed their story. Like Khalil had his eyes on Dallas but we should’ve gotten specifics on what he was doing exactly.

Tatum was going to marry Dallas then she thought it She didn’t love like a woman is supposed to love her husband, she loved him out of obligation to her family. Her bestfriend came up with a plan to sneak her on to Neem plane. He asked her the usual questions Two people were hating on their relationship his jealous ex Madison and his cousin Marcos who didn’t believe he shouldn’t have been a don. They had to show them better than they could tell them. Tatum had to tell her bestie her good news. They were sexing all over the place.
That’s why they had to get her bestie because Dallas summons Tatum there. Now Sophia and Khalil thinks the worst of Tatum because they are thinking she went with Dallas. Not knowing she went back to be with Neem

Can you fully let familiarity go & embrace the unknown?

4.5 ⭐️ In a relationship being seen, loved, respected, safe, & cherished are some of the things one would love to have. Tatum didn’t have this with Dallas whom she was expected to marry. Leaving him at the altar was the initial step to gaining her freedom. The unexpected connection w/ Naeem was alarming but as time went on, they both became accepting & comfortable w/ one another despite the dangers that lie ahead. Tatum & Naeem fit together, perfectly. The ending of the book… mouth wide open, TATUM… WTH! I, listen come on Jan. 2025 b/c I need to know! I just, sigh! What a ride!

I enjoyed the runaway bride theme. Tatum couldn’t stand the man her parents chose for her. So, with the help of her friend Riley, she left him at the altar. Not knowing she traded one mafia for another. Yet, the Don, Naeem was everything she wanted in a man. As their admiration grew they realized it was love.

Now where the story lost me was the last few chapters, it’s almost as if the author lost the plot just to create drama. All of sudden, Tatum didn’t know how this or that. Making dumb choices. I just gave up. Because you can predict exactly how it was gonna go.

Ummmm Ok, spoiler alert!

This story was all over the place. Not sure if it was a rush job or what, but no thank you unless you like the chaotic back and forth. There was very little character development, common sense was not very common and there were just to many unbelievable actions even for mafia lore. Tatum was raised as a mafia Princess but didn’t think about the protection of her best friend and then she so quickly turned on her family. It was just too much! Naheem is a Don, but gets ambushed they way he did!! And to end with a to be continued. This story had so much potential if the proper development had been done!

5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is for the craziness in this book 😆

Tatum and Don Naeem’s (The name fits, and trust me, it gets solidified real quick) story is one for the books. This story was mild at some points, then suddenly full of twists and turns, like the quiet before the storm, and I truly enjoyed the ride in Book 1. I’m happy to see there’s a Book 2 and hopeful it’s just as good.

I really felt bad for Tatum because she’s being pulled in two different directions, and the people she’s supposed to trust are backstabbing her. As for Don Naeem, he doesn’t play any games and will regulate quickly, but he also has a soft side.
I can’t predict how Book 2 is going to go, but let’s see 👀

Tatum cannot be serious like girl why in the world would you even think that was the move you put everybody in such a bad position for what. I'm so irritated with her Naeem definitely didn't deserve for her to switch up on him and leave him for dead like she did it's so crazy that she really helped that man up after he said he would kill her best friend and she still don't know where she is

Could have been better

I wanted to love this book. I’ve read other books by this author that I really enjoyed. But this book didn’t make sense to me at all. How the runaway bride leaves behind the best friend who helped her escape but was surprised she was taken. Like seriously? I don’t feel there was any real character build up and the end just put the nail in the coffin. The ending honestly made it that much worse. I’m not even interested in reading what’s next.

Can’t wait to dive into this world of Monsters Inc. I know it’s going to have me in a chokehold.

I gotta find out what happens to Riley. And also if Tatum and Nadeem can really be in love and happy.

“Grrrr “😖 in my Doechii voice! I’m so mad about how this ended! Like what happened to the FMC. She totally flipped the script. I’m super pissed at her decision at the end. I thought I had mis read something because she threw me for a loop. But she really did some foul mess. I’m so mad at her , she shattered the entire Love story for me. it seemed rushed….

I wanted to like this book. I read it as a backstory to The Bulgaria Cartel. There was something missing. Some things that made absolutely no sense and the ending…….WHAT? Cliffhanger be damned…..it made no sense. I’m trying to make myself move into the next book….but it’s a struggle.

I took my rating down to a 3 just because Tatum left Naheem at the airport bleeding on the ground and protected her ex. There is no way after that man threatened you, kidnapped your friend, and colluded with your parents that you decided to save his life after he put yours in danger many, many times. Tatum was not the girl I thought she was.

Unwrapped By A Savage Dom is a wild ride. It’s definitely not your regular holiday read. This book was so good. Mesha Mesh has become a one clicker for me.
