As general manager of Exclusive, an up-and-coming luxury Chicago hotel, Nia Freeman is used to chaos. From damaged suites to broken elevators, she’s an expert at putting out fires. That is until Agent Aysom Wilson arrives to consult on the hotel’s computer hack. From their first meeting, sparks fly as she tries to deny her attraction.
Aysom Wilson knows his way around women. After decades of travel, service, and crime, he’s used to getting what he wants. What he wants is Nia Freeman—and not just for one night. But with twenty years, six hundred miles, and judgmental family between them, only time will tell if their flame will fizzle or if they’ll spend another year under the mistletoe. Christmas Book is an adult age-gap romance novella perfect for the holiday season.
Elle is good in my hood! I have enjoyed every single book that she has released and this one was no different. As a fellow hospitality employee I felt Nia’s pain after the hotel system was hacked threatening to leak guest information. I probably would’ve 💩 bricks 🥴!!
Thankfully Nia had Aysom come to her rescue! Despite his playboy ways, he was immediately captivated by Nia and willing to bury that players hat! Nia didn’t make things easy for Aysom however he was up for the challenge as she proved to be the most difficult system to hack!
This was a really cute forced proximity’ish age gap holiday romance that had my attention from beginning to end. Elle has really mastered the a*shole MMC that you can’t help but love because he’s in every book and in the end, I always end up loving him.
Nia was a boss babe, the General Manager of a posh hotel. She had lived and breathed establishing the hotel for the last three years which meant she didn't have much of a personal life. When the hotel system is hacked and their reputation is on the line, she is distraught.
Aysom, a cyber security extraordinaire for the FBI comes in to save the day. He is fine AF and all the women have their eyes on him. While normally he is down ...Nia, despite her disdain, is the only one he has eyes for.
Aysom slowly knocks Nia's insecurities down. They spend time apart and really get to know each other. I absolutely loved the way he treated her once they established themselves in a relationship. No cooking, no driving, and helped her reduce her workload. I was here for the Princess treatment.
I appreciated that they were locked in with each other and didn't let their age gap or people's opinions get in between the love they shared.
In the beginning of this book, I was really side-eyeing Aysom because it felt like Nia was nothing more than a conquest to him, and given their age difference, that was extremely gross and childish of him. But the way that he was flipped on his head and so down bad for her tickled the heck out of me. A common theme in all of Elle Madearis' books is the obsession of the male characters in regard to the female characters, and I love it. I also loved Nia's character in this book. She never let Aysom run over her, and when she did give in to him, she did it on her own terms, making him come correct or not at all. This was a sweet little Christmas story about finding love in an unexpected place and nurturing that love even from self-doubt.
This was a decent read. The pacing was ok and the story was ok. It has some good moments and some humor but it just missed the mark. It takes place around Christmas but not a lot of Christmas activities not any much detail. There was a lot of focus on how often women hit on or admired the MMC. I think I would have enjoyed it better if the banter and back and forth would have went on longer. And having all of the spicy scenes be flashbacks instead of in the moment was a little annoying.
Well written story. I wish the cover actually depicted what the female main character looks like. In the story, she has a short haircut that makes me think of Halle Berry with short hair. The cover she has a natural puff.
This was a really good holiday read. I loved the older man younger woman storyline. I absolutely love the range of this author. I can’t wait to read more of catalog.
It started off with the luxury hotel being hacked but the only thing that was hacked was Nia, the hotel manager by Aysom (Silver Fox) aka Ace. Nia, 29 and the hotel manager and Aysom, 49 head of cyber security was called in to help her catch the cyberbullies which is what they called themselves.
Over a course of weeks Nia and Aysom frenemy relationship grew into a more sexual relationship than what she wanted. Aysom wanted her and he wasn't going to stop until he got her. He hacked her computer and wherever she was he was there to.
Bringing an older man home to meet your parents may not be the icing bon the cake especially with daddy who has required Nia to follow His dreams for her. Daddy was not okay and he stayed true to not being okay with his decision.
I enjoyed reading the story and although there was a happy ending to it, I was really hoping to read more scandalous activity between the guest being found out by the public based on the cyberbullies putting there business out there 🤣

My Man is from Memphis but was raised in Cape Girardeau My Bestie’s name is Callie
Takeaway: We can’t control or define how someone else reacts A woman in love is dangerous when it comes to protecting her man Allow a person space but reinforce your boundaries
I’ll admit, I was a little nervous about the age gap trope going in, but the way it was handled added substance to the story. It felt realistic and grounded—definitely not a dark romance subplot, which wouldn’t have fit the book’s more contemporary vibe.
Now let’s talk about Aysom. He was so ready to turn in his player card after meeting Nia (honestly, at his age, it was about time). But hey, we listen and don’t judge. Nia didn’t make it easy—she made Aysom apply serious pressure. This man was out here hacking into her computer just to show he wasn’t playing! My mind decided that Aysom put me in the mind of Shemar Moore, but specifically Shemar Moore from Criminal Minds.
If I had one small wish, it’d be for fewer flashbacks and more on-the-page moments to really paint those scenes. But I get it—the fast-paced storytelling kept things moving.
All in all, Hacked at Christmas is a fun, festive read that totally delivered.
Ok, so.. this book has potential. The storyline was pretty good and the characters were cool. It started off all over the place and rushed which made it difficult to get into. Also, typos coupled with the writing style made me feel as if I was missing something and I had to go back and reread things several tines. Now, once I pushed through to about 40% of the book, it became easier to follow. Aysom was something else and I liked it. Nia held her own with him and drew him in like a moth to a flame. The story, imo, picks up once you get past the initial problem of the story. I wished the author had paced the beginning part better because that had real potential to be captivating. Pretty good read though.
If a man doesn't hack your computer to get your attention, does he really love you, lol? Aysom and Nia were so cute together. I was rooting for them immediately. I love a man who knows that's his wife when they lay eyes on their woman. The age gap wasn't terrible, but I could understand why her family was concerned. Her dad took everything to the extreme, though. I loved her sister and BFF they were in her corner immediately. Watching these two get into a relationship and do the work to keep it healthy was beautiful. I loved seeing Keva and Zahir from Keva's Dream show up in this book as well. I really enjoyed this story.
This book gave very much lifetime Christmas movies vibes. Ace was an FBI agent that is friends either Zahir/Demise (from Keva’s dream) & Nia was the manager at Zahir’s hotel. When the system at the hotel is taken over by hackers. Ace comes to save the day. At first Nia tries her hardest to resist Ace & his charms for various reasons but eventually she gave in & she was committed to her silver fox 😂 This book was good & it had the Christmas vibes, the dilemma of being in an age gap relationship, mild drama, mentions of anxiety & stress. 4 ⭐️
This was a sweet story of growth, healing, self-acceptance, and standing up for yourself and your needs despite what others may say or feel about it. Creating boundaries and sticking by them. Once Aysom seen Nia, it was a wrap! Provider, Protector, Nurturer… what a MAN Aysom was!! Who would’ve imagined, getting stuck on an elevator would lead to healing & happily ever after for both Nia & Aysom!
This book read like 2 books smashed together. The first quarter was contemporary and then it moved into something else, mayve erotica. The timelines didn't make sense. I honestly, I lost interest once the hacking piece got resolved. It felt like an afterthought. Was he an assassin, hacker, or FBI agent, very convoluted.
Format: ebook Romance tag: open door w/bdsm CN: ransom, strained relationship, stressful work environment
This book is captivating. The growth of main character. Your can relay to how make lead feels when he realizes how he's perceived by his co-workers and associates, how it truly hurt him. I love the family dynamics, they allow the read to realize that even if my family isn't perfect, I still deserve to be loved.
3 stars! This was a cute short read that definitely escalated quickly lol I’m not a big fan of the instant love trope… their relationship escalated really quickly and I wasn’t a big fan of that. I wasn’t able to connect to the characters much because the speed of how their relationship evolved was jarring lol overall it was a cute book for a palette cleanser.
Loved it. This was my first reading this authors work. I loved the back and forth, chemistry, and finally the love between these two. Toward the end these two had a solid foundation that nobody could break. Great read.
When I was a girl, I was advised by a trusted, wise, smart, intelligent and loved Uncle to marry a man at least 10 years older. He knows what he wants and should be established already. Great advice. Great story that ended well enough.
One of my favorite things about this book was that the author was steadfast about the FMC not wanting kids. I hate when they say that and then in the epilogue they have 2 kids and one on the way because they are so in love 🤢🤢as someone that doesn’t want kids no matter the man it was refreshing
nia got on all my nerves being childish in the beginning, but once she got it together, she was perfect for aysom. aysom was relentless in his pursuit of nia. he meant he was going to have her. didn't like Nia father attitude. I really enjoyed this book!!
maybe i’m just not a fan of fast paced books but this just felt like boom, they met. boom, they’re together. idk i was just like where is the YEARNING but maybe it’s just me. i know it’s a book but it just felt unrealistic and rushed 😭
Hacked At Christmas was a unique age gap read! Elle Madearis explored the realistic challenges in an age gap romance 💘 and the effort placed in by the two main Characters!
