And it left me thinking about the fallen. Thinking of how I fell for you. Back before the sky became blue. Back before the neon shades of light we place on shoes. Like the collapsed roof. Like the horse without hooves. Why are you always on the move? Doesn’t time stop for you? Don’t you need to breathe too? Don’t you need me? I need you. At least I need the feeling that you want me too.“

Moonlight is a collection of free verse poetry and mixed media art pieces that work together to discuss the significance of love within life. The book is divided into four chapters that vividly detail the vast ranges of emotions experienced during moments of love and longing. Every mountain and valley of compassion is expressed through this collaboration of mediums that leaves the reader reflecting on their past and future relationships.

Isaiah Qualls is a poet and illustrator based out of NYC. His poetry and art follows themes of love, beauty, acceptance, and creativity. Each of these themes is individually explored in 'Moonlight' his debut illustrated poetry book.

In his work, Isaiah talks about overcoming adversity and using it as fuel for inspiration. Through multiple different mediums, Isaiah hopes to inspire people into becoming the best versions of themselves and to follow what motivates them.
