I finished this book a while ago;

I mean it when I say this book is an absolute masterpiece. It deserves all the love it gets from online communities and brings such emotional depth to the table that it's hard to ignore at all. When it comes to Kim Dokja, Yoo Joonghyuk, and Han Sooyoung, I think it'd be hard to write a character as melancholically beautiful as SingnSong wrote them.

Honestly this had way more twists and turns, especially towards the latter chapters. Things got confusing, especially with the time loops, but in the end it all made sense. I really loved everything and every single part of the book. The things spoken in this story are absolutely amazing and show such emotion even with words. It's amazing, really.

This had a lot of twists and turns, not as much as the uhh makjang manhwa about a dude obsessed with makjangs making makjangs because he's forced to make makjangs but the entire story is acutally a makjang and we're all part of this makjang reading a makjang... Makjang... ANYWAYS. This had a lot of plot twists and always kept me wanting to read the book. Thank you so much for the creation of this masterpiece <3

Truly one of the most meaningful novels I’ve read—an absolute masterpiece.

This series is long. Very long. But it's worth it. It does know it is not always entertaining,or the best written, it's conscious of it's flaws; but in the end, it will steal your heart. If you love reading, if you're a reader, it will become a part of you. This series has a similar incipit to Dungeon Crawler Carl and then it becomes a love letter to us, the readers. And is such a devoted love that you can't help but love this story back in return.

If you love reading this series is for you.


Warning: it's long and in some part can be perceived as repetitive and thus you can become tired of it, but keep going. In the end everything will make sense and you'll love it.

Yeah, 1.27 million words. I will admit that some parts are very skimmable -- there are some scattered arcs, and while they are important, aren't always engaging. That's because the most engaging parts of this book are the characters. Though there are a LOT of characters in ORV, each one is so memorable and unique that you just can't help but attempt to learn their names and keep reading. Kim Dokja changed my life, probably. The fantasy aspect is somehow believable despite being complex, and so is the whole plot device of an Omniscient Reader/All Powerful Main Character. The themes especially can be very inspiring as well. Lots of good emotions in reading this book. Not a five star, though, because it can be hard to parse... not sure I would recommend people to work through the novel.

I could not get enough of this story, I can't even exaggerate. The world-building, story-telling, characters, everything about this story was so immersive and captivating, it was surreal. I finished the story many years ago and yet the effect it had on me has never faded. Sorry that sounded dramatic lol. It is a very long read to be fair, and it can have its boring moments, but I feel like it is worth getting through all of it as everything becomes connected. The ending was absolutely maginificent, and the story leading up to the ending was just so beautoful. May not be for everyone, but definitely for me
