Even better than the first one I loved how much Grayson loved the heroine. So sweet

I received an ARC of Complete from the author in exchange for an honest review! I LOVED it!! I was able to pick the story line right up, Lily and Grayson are a few years older and wiser but still just as angst ridden and confused by their feelings for each other. Thankfully, Lily and Grayson matured and grew from their time apart and are able to finally realise they can't live without each other. The addition of a few new characters adds some comic relief and a little more drama. I would love to see possible future stories for Aiden and Stone.

My thoughts:
This one was like the previous one in terms of depth and development. Not enough time was spent digging into the issues. It sort of reads as an outline, with all the major plots points shown but all the supporting events and feelings missing. For example, when Megan comes back pregnant. All that is resolved within one chapter. There was no real angst.
There's also a weird storytelling technique used in both books. Something will happen but it won't be explicitly explained. It'll be left vague, but a few chapters later it'll be explained. Like Lily's tattoo. They go to a shop and she looks at the designs while he dares her to get a piercing. The next chapter Grayson asks if she's sore. Then in the epilogue its revealed she got a tattoo.
It was a good story but it could have been so much more.

She walks to the park near their homes and he shows up. He asks how she's doing and it bothers her. He jokes around as if they've been friends the whole time. It makes her feel like they weren't important to him if he's over it so soon.
A few days later she goes to her parents house. She sees him pull up on a motorcycle and she notices how much more grown up and beautiful he is. A car pulls up and a girl gets out. She sees him hug the girl and it hurts.
Her mom invites her over for a barbecue and when she gets there she realizes his family is there. She tries to leave but bumps into Grayson. It's awkward between them and they're interrupted by the girl from earlier. She introduces herself as Megan and Lily feels replaced. She can't help but notice how pretty Megan is and how she's a better match for Grayson.
Lily walks home and Grayson follows her. They joke around and she remembers they aren't really friends anymore. She asks where his girlfriend is, to remind them they aren't friends. He tells her at their hotel and Lily is devastated. She tells him he should be at the hotel with her and leaves.
The next day she goes to the park for lunch and Grayson shows up. She asks if he gave her number to their friend Ben, because Ben has been calling recently. He says yes and she asks how he got it. He tells her her mom gave it to him but he's very vague.
She tells him she doesn't like the new person he is. He tells her he had to change to survive and he doesn't like the new her either. She asks why he left their cork board full of messages behind like it was nothing. He tells her he couldn't look at it everyday without dying inside. They argue and he tells her he left to get over her. She asks if he did and he asks if she really wants to know. She doesn't answer and he leaves.
The next day her mom calls her over to garden. Grayson shows up and tells her her mom requested him. They finish the yard and take a break. They can tell her mom is trying to matchmake. He tells Lily Aidan has been keeping tabs on her. And that Aidan and her mom want them to get back together.
Garrett comes to visit her and asks how she's doing since Grayson is back. She tells him it's hard and he tells her she needs to let him go. She decides to try and date someone since Grayson moved on. She calls her ex Sam but he's dating someone. He suggests she be a blind date to his girlfriends brother Stone. She says yes.
She goes running with Garrett and they bump into Grayson and Megan as they're leaving. Garrett and Megan are friendly and Grayson is angry. Megan tells them she works with Grayson's band and they've been dating for 6 months.
She goes on the date with Stone and knows instantly there's no spark. When they drop her off she takes a walk to her parents house. She sees Grayson sitting alone on his porch and immediately goes to him.
He tells her Megan left and he's sort of relieved, which makes him feel bad. She realizes he needs a friend and sits with him. He tells her his mom is doing better and wonders if it's because he's gone, that he caused all her problems. He tells her he hasn't slept with Megan since coming home. That it felt wrong.
Lily can't stop picturing them together and it upsets her. She tells him he shouldn't tell her things like that. He gets close to her and talks about how sad her eyes look and she thinks he might kiss her. He steps back and she tries to leave. They're interrupted by Aidan's garage band.
She stays to listen to them rehearse and the band starts fighting. The singer is jealous of the guitarist, who writes all the songs. And the guitarist likes Aidan's girlfriend. Everyone storms out angry and she suggests they make cookies, like old times.
They go to her house and Grayson looks at everything, which makes her nervous. They reminisce and he tells her he realizes she sacrificed her happiness so he could follow his dreams, even though he didn't like it. She apologizes for all the hurt she caused him and he tells her he wants to kiss her. She pulls away because she knows they can't be together.

I really like this author. I love her writing style and think she is incredibly talented. I read "Unlit Star" and really expected I would enjoy this book as well. Not the case. I gave the series a chance, and finished both books even when I had my doubts.
To like a story, I have to be convinced of everything about it. It has to make sense. The doubts that Grayson had in the first book were believable. However, Lilly's actions seemed entirely unfounded and contrived. It felt as if the author was trying desperately to create conflict and tension without any real basis for it. Why did Lilly feel so convinced that she needed to push Grayson away? He had expressed no dreams of fame and his desire to go to college in California were only briefly mentioned. I think there could have been a lot more plot development here for this to even make sense.
The music stardom thing was really out of left field for me. I knew Grayson sang and wrote music--but so do lots of people. There were no clues that he was all that talented or that he aspired for fame. He wasn't even in a band! And we all know that most bands do not even write their own music. I found it all just unconvincing and silly. Paired with the clichéd tattooing of Lilly's name all over his body (do girls even really like that?!)...I was just not feeling it even a little bit. But I tried to go with it because I like the author.
I liked Lilly in the first book because she was open about her feelings and spoke her mind. It was refreshing from other contemporary romances where you want to bang your head against the wall because the characters are just so closed off and play so many mind games. However, Lilly in the second book completely transformed into this type. When she read Grayson's interviews about her, heard his lyrics or saw her name tattooed all over his body her thoughts were "Is he dating someone else named Lilly?" It was just difficult for me to accept that someone could be this dense. It became a painfully long, drawn out and frustrating read filled with dull side characters who didn't have anything interesting to add to the story. I may still read more of Zart's books--but she really will have to make some come back to make up for this one.

There were no clues that he was all that talented or that he aspired for fame. He wasn't even in a band! And we all know that most bands do not even write their own music. I found it all just unconvincing and silly. Paired with the clichéd tattooing of Lilly's name all over his body (do girls even really like that?!)...I was just not feeling it even a little bit. But I tried to go with it because I like the author.
I liked Lilly in the first book because she was open about her feelings and spoke her mind. It was refreshing from other contemporary romances where you want to bang your head against the wall because the characters are just so closed off and play so many mind games. However, Lilly in the second book completely transformed into this type. When she read Grayson's interviews about her, heard his lyrics or saw her name tattooed all over his body her thoughts were "Is he dating someone else named Lilly?" It was just difficult for me to accept that someone could be this dense. It became a painfully long, drawn out and frustrating read filled with dull side characters who didn't have anything interesting to add to the story. I may still read more of Zart's books--but she really will have to make some come back to make up for this one.

I was give this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.
First of all, and clearly the most important of all - I say without bias *shifty eyes* - is that there are platypires in this book. Okay, so they're not the actual vampire platypus creature. But there is a band called "Eddie and the Platypires", which specifies before the book began that I won that name in a charity auction. It was so freaking beyond awesome to see that in a story, by one of my favorite authors of all people.
Now, on to the review!
Incomplete ends in a clearly unfinished way, expectedly, so I was pretty much going crazy with anticipation waiting for this book. The moment I received it everything else was put on hold - because this was one that needed to be read, immediately.
When Lily and Grayson see each other for the first time in two years... Just wow. Pretty sure I forgot how to breathe - which is not something unusual when I read one of Lindy's books (She is clearly trying to kill me). I was clutching my kindle for dear life, both excited and terrified of what was going to happen. I don't want to give any spoilers, but wow.
There is a new character in this story, Stone Pratt. Oh my freaking gawd! If Lindy doesn't give him a spin off book, she is wrong. Because he is perhaps my favorite of every character I have ever read that she created. Yes, this includes Luke from Charmed and Jared from Safe and Sound. He has a personality that you can't help but be drawn to... plus he pretty much exudes awesomeness.
Another new character, Megan. I cannot think of many characters I've wanted to punch in the face the way I wanted to do to her. I'm not going to go into details, but it want to say this... What kind of person does that? No. Just no.
This book was incredible. Perfect sequel to Incomplete, and worth the wait. Highly recommend this series to pretty much everyone.

I struggled with my patience and my emotions with this story. It was hard to rate this one because while I'm not a fan of second chance stories layered with doubt I do love Lindy's work.
I tried to remain indifferent towards the idea of Grayson and Lily getting back together for my sanity but Lindy kept tethering them.
There was a lot of intensity to Grayson and Lily. Too much tension was felt as a reader. I struggled to read this because it broke my heart at how confused these two were. Both afraid to say what was really on their minds. Both so determined to move forward without understanding what even happened.
Lily's internal turmoil at trying to figure out what she wanted was challenging to read. I tried to read between the lines and understand the situation myself.
It was difficult to read a story filled with heartache. These two characters spent more time apart then together yet were tethered by some unknown pull. For the life of me I still am having difficulty figuring out how Lily could not maintain the long distance relationship while Grayson went on to California.
It's hard to appreciate the story when it's filled with many distractions. The distractions of her friend Mia. The distractions of Sam. The distractions of Garrett. The distractions of her brother Scott.

Redeemed
I'm going to cut it straight. You do not need to read Incomplete to read this book. In fact I think I would have enjoyed this book more if I didn't read Incomplete first.
Unlike the first of this series, this story had a sense of purpose, it didn't feel lost and had better character interactions, making them feel more real and relatable.
It is safe to say that I'm glad I read Complete and my ever lasting view was not Incomplete. I felt there was just the right amount of angst within these pages to make the story enjoyable and who doesn't love a HEA?
If you have been putting of reading Complete because of Incomplete, don't, you're doing yourself a disservice.

The angst was so heavy in this. And, of course, that is my jam. Grayson story revolves around his best friend, Lily and nothing else. He was so madly in love with her it was sickening at times (in the best way). There was a lot of push and pull between the two because they were navigating their segue from friendship to more.
I really didn’t understand the major conflict in this… I won’t give spoilers, but I felt that it could’ve been handled better and we wouldn’t even need a second book.
And while we did get a book two, I wasn’t as in love with it as book one. Halfway through, it was just TOO MUCH for the sake of being too much.

Maybe that’s what love is – a little touch of insanity that makes us do and say things we otherwise wouldn’t.
The book to complete this series had me in awe. IT WAS SO WORTH THE WAIT – thank goodness.
I knew she left him to pursue his dreams, she loved him too much to have him settled for anything less than what he wanted to do. Even if it means letting him go, even if it means living without him. Learning to live without her best friend and the love of her life is a herculean task, she realized when it was already too late. She was now reaping the consequences of her actions, and it was not helping that it seems everyone is fondly reminding her of what she had lost. She got a job, something she had not seen doing – she was content but not happy.
Then Grayson Lee came back, and it was heartbreaking to see him in the arms of the other. She tries to accept that the two of them aren’t meant to be together, and that she finally needed to move on. But the pull of their past, the sudden onslaught of stronger feelings and his presence was encouraging her to give it another try. That the two of them are meant to be together despite what happened in the past. Her love was never lost, she was still in love with him. But will that love be strong enough to fight for him this time?
This was one book I have been looking forward to read since reading Incomplete last year. I wonder what would happen to this couple. Would they finally make it, or will time and distance drove them apart?
Sometimes I wished that Lily was a little bit selfish and think of herself for once. I wished she would stop running away and face everything head start – maybe then, I would have been so sure that they would have their happy ending. But no, she had to be stubborn, she had to let him go, and now, she was suffering seeing him in the arms of another woman. It breaks my heart to see her standing there, and allowing it to happen rather than fighting for the man who is obviously still hopelessly in love with her. I mean, other people can see it – why not her, right?
As for Grayson – did I tell you how I was dying to get inside his brain? I definitely wished for a dual POV that would allow me to enter his thoughts. Nevertheless, it didn’t make this novel less beautiful, so don’t worry. Grayson was now a famous rockstar. His dreams were already fulfilled, and despite the fact that he was dating another girl, there was no mistake that Lily would always be IT for him. Although he can still the pain of their break up years ago, he now understood why she needed to let him go. Now, it was time to win her back. Allowing her to run away was not an option. He will fight for her. He will fight for them. He will let her see that more than sacrifice, love is all about compromise.
That’s what love is about – doing what’s the best for the person you love even if it isn’t what’s best for you.
I love the couple, and the people that surrounds them, even those men who came in between them, and yes even Megan. No matter how much I wanted to hate this girl, she still manages to get my sympathy in the end. They have their own parts and stories in this last installment of the series, and everyone of them has a part in Lily and Grayson’s HEA. The wait, the anticipation – it was all worth it. Lindy Zart had my completely torn with INCOMPLETE but managed to bring it back together with COMPLETE. It was an amazing read about love, second chances, and forgiveness. Her words, as usual, had me enthralled and hooked with every pages. No one beats her dialogues.
Never expect love to be always great, sometimes it can be hell – but once you will get through all the trials that were thrown at your feet – your love will be stronger, and fiercer than ever. Love is not just about sacrifices and wanting to do the right thing for your partner, love is all about compromise, so that at the end of the day, both will have their happy ending.
Sometimes in life, you do things you don’t want to. Sometimes you sacrifice, sometimes you compromise. Sometimes you let go and sometimes you fight. It’s all about deciding what’s worth losing and what’s worth keeping.

Two years! TWO FREAKING YEARS! I don't know how Lily lived without him, and with him in her face, for TWO YEARS! Grayson is back and the tension is palpable. Sexual frustration, anger and loss; you will be a ball of nerves reading the reunion of these two individuals. Problem is, they have moved on, tried to get over each other, tried to start a new life without one another. She thought she was doing what was best for him. He thinks he is doing what she wants. They both fight the overwhelming urge to do what is right.
The return of Grayson is making it impossible for Lily to accept the reason why she let him go in the first place. She was supposed to let him experience life beyond their small town and become a famous musician. Well, fame has blessed Grayson, and he appears to be successful in life, but it's only what Lily wants to see.
Grayson is so dang lovable and has grown in such a dramatic way. He really did need to experience life outside their town, to see what could happen if he pursued music instead of staying for Lily. But with goals checked off, he still needs her in his life. His love for her is so intense, it's crazy to think that these two thought they could stay away from each other.
The concept of Complete starting two years after Grayson and Lily last saw each other is brilliant. Too often I think that young, high school loves are too young or inexperienced to know what's good for them. That they do need to get out into the world before knowing the absolute. That just made this story so much easier to fall in love with.

My Review of "Complete" by Lindy Zart
I had the opportunity to receive this ARC in exchange for an honest review and also be a part of the Incomplete and Complete Blog Tour.
Complete continues the story in Lily's POV this time and you will get to find out how she felt when she released Grayson to go fulfill his dream and tell the world of his talent in music. Little does she know that he is unhappy without her as much as she is if not more.
Lily and her friends go to a fundraiser held in their hometown and hear rumors that a band will be there to perform but no one knows who it is. The band starts playing and she recognizes that it is "Thrush", Graysons band.
Lily and Grayson try to get reaccainted but Grayson didn't return alone this time, he is dating his manager Megan. It takes everything she can to breathe and live while he is next door, thoughts run rampant on how many girls he probably slept with and how he survived without her, asking herself if he still cares and loves her and questioning if their friendship could ever heal.
This story is a second chance for not only for friendship but will that be enough for Grayson and Lily? Will they ever fully and completely have a second chance at love again.?

When we last saw these two love birds, Lilly made the ultimate sacrifice so that Greyson can achieve his dream and she told him "I'll wait forever for you Greyson" and I believed her.
I was so excited when I started to read Complete, thinking that it would have less angst than in the first book, but boy was I mistaken.
Lilly have given up, all the spunk and fearlessness she once possess in the first book completely disappeared in this one and she has also lost my respect.
I has been two years since Lilly split with Greyson and still she would not pick up the phone and call him, thinking to herself that he was over her, since he was dating multiply women, totally disregarding that he has a tattoo of a Lilly over his heart and her name tattooed on his knuckles.
Lilly just seemed to shut and and she has no one to blame but herself, anyhow, Greyson comes back to town after doing what Lilly told him to do and does she go visit him, no, no she does not. She dares wish that he never came back which is pretty selfish of her considering his family lives right across the street from her parents.
Lilly goes out of her way to avoid him and he tries everything to get back what they once had, but something broke in Lilly and she just gave up, she just gave up and I did not like Lilly at at in the book, Greyson was to good for her the coward and she knew that too.
They finally get back together and every time something does not go right, she wants to break it off and go run and hide and each time she thought this, I wanted to jump in that book and punch her in the face. (Yes I am extremely violent, but only in my head)
Lilly once told Greyson that she would wait forever for him, but it seem that was not the case she gave up on him the day she dumped him and never looked back. Would all the pain of their separation as well as the uncertainty of the future keep them from finally putting their souls to rest and be at peace or would someone's negative attitude break them apart forever, and I am not talking about Greyson.
Lindy Zart came back again with even more angst than the first book and I it works, it really works. I felt what Lilly was feeling and I did not care to hear her thoughts because they were weak stupid thoughts and I felt for Greyson, even though I was not aware of what he was thinking, I new what he was feeling and my heart went out to him over and over again, especially at the end with Megan.
This was a trilling conclusion to this two part series of "Incomplete" and "Complete" and I have to say that this type of book was not my usual style of books that I read and I do not regret reading these books. it opened my eyes to a new type of book that was different from my norm.
Thoughts: Lilly said she would wait forever for Greyson in the first book, I still don't fully understand why she did not keep her promise.

Angst.
Nail biting, stomach churning angst. This was not a few pages of angst. This was chapters upon chapters of pure gut wrenching angst.
When we left Grayson and Lily at the end of Incomplete, Lily had broken up with Grayson, forcing him to leave for the sunny skies of California and the hope of a music career. Something he would not have done had Lily not obliterated his heart. Complete picks up a few years after the end of Incomplete and is told from Lily’s POV. I loved reading Incomplete from Grayson’s POV and thought I would miss it in this installment. Not. At. All. Where as in Incomplete, Grayson is broken due to his self esteem and self worth issues, Lily is broken over Grayson. She knew breaking up with him to force him to follow his dreams would hurt, but I don’t think she thought through just how miserable she would be. Lily is just going through the motions of life, not living it. She has never gotten over him, and knows that she never will, no matter how painful.

This book just wrecked me. The way that Ms. Zart brings such emotion and depth to her characters just blows me away. I was Lily. I was feeling every heart and gut wrenching feeling Lily was. I started this book and locked myself in my bedroom until I finished it, reading it straight though. I suggest you carve out a block of time to devour this book, because that’s exactly what you will be doing. Once you start, there is no stopping.

This book just wrecked me. The way that Ms. Zart brings such emotion and depth to her characters just blows me away. I was Lily. I was feeling every heart and gut wrenching feeling Lily was. I started this book and locked myself in my bedroom until I finished it, reading it straight though. I suggest you carve out a block of time to devour this book, because that’s exactly what you will be doing. Once you start, there is no stopping.

Complete is the follow up to Incomplete and the second book in a two part series.
Angst.
Nail biting, stomach churning angst. This was not a few pages of angst. This was chapters upon chapters of pure gut wrenching angst.
When we left Grayson and Lily at the end of Incomplete, Lily had broken up with Grayson, forcing him to leave for the sunny skies of California and the hope of a music career. Something he would not have done had Lily not obliterated his heart. Complete picks up a few years after the end of Incomplete and is told from Lily’s POV. I loved reading Incomplete from Grayson’s POV and thought I would miss it in this installment. Not. At. All. Where as in Incomplete, Grayson is broken due to his self esteem and self worth issues, Lily is broken over Grayson. She knew breaking up with him to force him to follow his dreams would hurt, but I don’t think she thought through just how miserable she would be. Lily is just going through the motions of life, not living it. She has never gotten over him, and knows that she never will, no matter how painful.
Grayson comes back to town, destroying all those walls Lily tried so hard to build up.

Complete is the second part to Lindy Zart's Incomplete series.
We pick up again with our characters from Incomplete, Grayson and Lily but unlike Incomplete, Complete is told from Lily's perspective. I wasn't sure whether the change of characters was going to be a good thing but it turns out, to be one of the best moves that Lindy Zart had done.
Book one saw two best friends starting their love story and having that first love moment. At the end of Incomplete however, Lily made a massive choice that effected both her and Grayson's life. Now two years later, things have been changing for them both. Everything Lily has done, she has done with Grayson in her subconscious mind and she just can't seem to get him out of her head. It was obvious that Lily regretted her decision but then, Grayson returns...
And he's not alone.
Heartbroken, Lily knows she needs to move on from Grayson and get a grip on her life and start dating other men. Of course, we return to jealousy which we saw a lot of in book one, which caused the two best friends to finally admit their feelings and start a beautiful young love story.
However, book two is definitely a much better story and is filled with so much more emotion which I could feel dripping off the pages and this time, our characters had matured a lot more and we saw Grayson leaving behind a lot of his insecurities and becoming a man, rather than the teenager in Incomplete who seemed to enjoy annoying me. Lily too, has grown up immensely and knows that despite her own feelings, she did what was right for Grayson at the time. Now she must come to terms with that.
But like all good romance books, there is always a HEA.
Overall, I found this story to be much more enjoyable than book one plus I love books with some tension and this book definitely delivered. Book one is needed to fully understand this story but it was worth it just to get here.
If Lindy Zart continues to write this way, I want her next book and the next...

Plot-Two years later and Lily can't seem to get Grayson out of her mind. He is always with her and subconsiously every decision she makes, she thinks of him. She tried to move on and did date a few men but they never compared to Grayson. No one ever will. He was her best friend, soul mate, and finally her lover. Lily made the decision to push Grayson away thinking that was the best thing to do even though she was hurt in the process. A decision she has regretted since.
Grayson returns home and Lily is angusihed to see that he is dating his manager Megan. She tries really hard to not like Megan but it is hard to not like someone who is so nice, kind, and has such great taste in shoes. Realizing that Grayson has moved on, Lily tries, once again, to do the same. Stone comes into the scene. A very blunt, sexy, and fun man yet Lily can't seem to see past what she had with Grayson to give Stone much of a chance.
A few twists and turns later, Lily and Grayson make the biggest decisions of their lives. Will they be together or not?
-I was so excited to read this book. After finishing Incomplete, I was left wanting more. Lily and Grasyon were meant for each other. Everyone knew they were meant to be together but they just kept hurting each other over and over. I found myself several times telling them to stop acting like kids and just tell the other that you love them and be done. I'm glad Lindy didn't just jump right in and do that because we may not have been able to meet Stone and he is a character all in himself. Fun, smart, witty, and sexy are how I would describe Stone. He was a nice addition to the Incomplete series.
Overall, once again, Lindy Zart did not dissapoint. The book kept me wanting more and finally left me satisfied. If you were a fan of Lily and Grayson, you will love this book too!

While Incomplete was written from Grayson's point of view, Complete is the continuation and is told in Lily's point of view. We finally get to hear what is going on in her brain and maybe find out why she chose to tell Grayson to leave. I mean, I know why she chose to tell him to leave, but did she really want him to leave? That is the $10 million question!
I enjoyed reading the story from Lily's perspective and to hear about her feelings first hand. It was nice to see how her life has changed since Grayson left and to delve inside her psyche for awhile. Lindy has done another awesome job in telling this tale. The writing is magnificent and poetic.
"Do you see how the river never really has an ending or a beginning? It just flows every direction with no clear path?"
"Yes." I am a little breathless with our bodies so close and the heat of his seeping into mine despite our layers of clothing.
"That's us. There is no beginning and there is no end. Even if you are one side of the water and I am the other, eventually we will merge. We are as powerful as the waters, Lily, as free as the waves. And there is no separation of us. Waves crash, recede, but never fall away, not completely. We always come back to each other and we always will. Like water, we mesh, we flow into one, we are one. You and I are interwoven; two souls that fit together as a single entity."
The love that Grayson and Lily have for each other is one that everyone hopes to have just a smidge of in their lives. It is also one that people can relate to because of the heartache of having and losing your first love. We've all been there and we can identify with it on a deep, personal level. Lindy does a great job representing that in both of these books. She knows heartache, love, and heartbreak. She also knows how to deliver a happily ever after. Complete gets 5 books.

Gone is the carefree girl of the past who fought for what she wanted, but Lily wants that girl back. Lily is a very relatable character, and I loved being able to see the depth of the pain she has from breaking up with Grayson. She sacrificed their love for his future, but she still misses and loves him.
Grayson has tried to get over Lily but she has a permanent claim on his heart. Whilst Grayson might be more adept at hiding his emotions than he was before he left for California, Lily is still able to bring out the old Grayson.
This is a great sequel to Incomplete and definitely worth the wait. Lindy Zart's emotive writing style makes you feel everything the characters are feeling and she does a remarkable job of it. I swear I was almost crying at work! It's so obvious to the reader that Grayson and Lily are meant to be together, but they have to fight for their second chance at love.
I loved the way Grayson and Lily's story ended and I'm hoping this isn't the last we've seen from these characters!

Sometimes I read a book that stays with me for days, weeks, month, or even years… yes, years – The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is one of those “years” books. Complete will also be one of those books. Lindy writes with so much emotion, it literally gives me goose bumps when I read her words. I fell head over heels in love with Grayson and Lily’s story in Incomplete, their story was beautiful and heartbreaking and Complete was everything I had hoped for and much more.
In Complete Grayson and Lily’s story continues Grayson is off living the rock star life, but is absolutely not complete, his love for Lily still runs deep even though years have passed since she broke his heart. Lily, well she is trying to survive, living day to day. She is still so in love with Grayson, it is just gut-wrenching to read, and feel her pain.
There is so much that I want to write, but I don’t want giveaway any spoilers, especially if you haven’t read Incomplete yet. This story has it all … love, loss, betrayal, forgiveness, sex, music… in two words… absolutely amazing. If you have never read anything by Lindy Zart, you are severely missing out. Thank you, Lindy for writing such a beautiful story. Grayson and Lily will be a book couple that will forever stay with me.

Wow this book was pure torture and passion all at the same time. I could feel the book drip with all of the sorrow and angst that came off of the pages. Lindy Zart is a true master of getting you to feel emotions, not once in this whole story did the feelings let up and felt like a totally rollercoaster from beginning to end.
Lily did what she thought was right all those years ago when she let the man she loved go to chase his dreams. Now every time she sees him on T.V, in magazine or hears his voice on the radio its all she can do to keep herself from falling apart. She has never stopped loving Grayson, only he never came back for her and they both moved on with their lives, or so they told themselves.
Grayson`s heart shattered into a million pieces the night Lily walked out of his life. He has spent the last years trying to piece it back together, but knows it is pretty much hopeless. When he comes home to see family and do a concert in his home town, he can`t help all the old feelings coming to the surface and seeing Lily again just makes everything worse.
caught in a landslide of past and present feeling and a boatload of hurt Grayson and Lily must see if can mend the fences between them and be friends again for the sake of their families and friends. I had the joy of reading this alarmingly beautiful story immediately after Incomplete, the first in the series. I didn’t have to wait, which was fantastic because I just NEEDED more Grayson and Lily. The first story is written from Grayson’s point of view and this story, Complete, is written from Lily’s. I just love that. It was amazing to get her take on things.
The one word that I would use to describe Lily is strong. She is far stronger than I ever thought to be. To give up the man that she loves with every fiber of her being just so he could pursue his life and dream is amazing. The story picks up two years after the ending of Complete. Lily is miserable. Grayson is miserable. Life is just not right when they are not together. Plain and simple. Getting thrust back together in their hometown is what finally brings their relationship back into the light. It’s very clear that there is confusion and hard feelings between Grayson and Lily. I wanted to scream at the book, JUST BE HONEST. They are both so guarded. Which, to be fair, is understandable, but yet, as a reader you just know that they are meant to be. Some things just ARE and Grayson and Lily just are.
There are ups and downs. There are more trials in this book that they both have to overcome. There is more heartbreak and devastation. But the unconditional love that is profound and true and real between them is what shines through the madness.
I simple loved and will always cherish this relationship. They are honest and that really hit home. I HIGHLY recommend you read and fall in love with Grayson and Lily.

I was a beta reader for both Incomplete and for Complete (Incomplete #2). After reading the first, I thought there was no way the sequel would be better. As good as, but not better. I. Was. So. Wrong. There were several times when I had to stop and walk away because the emotions were so high and heart wrenching. My 12 year old son would look over at me and ask if I was okay because I would be crying. The depth of emotion that Ms. Zart is able to bring into her stories (I have read several books of hers and not ever been disappointed!) is truly amazing! The anxiety that Lily feels, was so palpable. Her worries, her fears, and then finding herself once again! I was right there with her. Neither Lily or Grayson were complete without the other. I found myself several times asking, why can't they see that they make each other whole? That there are pieces of themselves missing without the other? When Lily finally decided to be herself again, I cheered! A loud "You go girl!" was yelled into my living room. Then, my heart dropped to my toes when Grayson told her that she wasn't his first love. I started crying, my heart breaking right along with Lily's. Then when he told her that she was his only love, my heart grew wings and took flight. My emotions were so strung out, pulled from my heart with great talent and gave me such a book hangover, that I couldn't pick up another book for three days. Ms. Zart, you have gained another fan for life. "You are exactly where you are supposed to be."

The first book, Incomplete, was written from Grayson's POV, but this book, which takes place two years later, is written from Lily's POV. I sometimes wanted to lock both characters in a room until they came to their senses. They both try to do "what is right" for the other person, regardless of what the other person says. This story really takes the old saying, "If you love someone, set them free. If it's meant to be, they'll come back to you." But, is there a timeline for that? Can you ever really get back the relationship you had, getting over the hurt and bad feelings? Can you get over the other people in their lives?
I got really frustrated with Lily's insecurities, but it actually came from a place deep down inside of me. I was Lily as a teenager, with low self-esteem. I found myself, on more than one occasion, remembering what it was like to be a teenager/twenty-something, unsure about most of life. Job well done, Lindy Zart, in transporting me back to that time in my life.

I got really frustrated with Lily's insecurities, but it actually came from a place deep down inside of me. I was Lily as a teenager, with low self-esteem. I found myself, on more than one occasion, remembering what it was like to be a teenager/twenty-something, unsure about most of life. Job well done, Lindy Zart, in transporting me back to that time in my life.
I was given a copy of this book in return for an honest review. I feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to read such an amazing book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

Lindy Zart does such an amazing job, writing with surprising detail, that I felt like I knew these characters and might run into them on the street. The first book, Incomplete, was written from Grayson's POV, but this book, which takes place two years later, is written from Lily's POV. I sometimes wanted to lock both characters in a room until they came to their senses. They both try to do "what is right" for the other person, regardless of what the other person says. This story really takes the old saying, "If you love someone, set them free. If it's meant to be, they'll come back to you." But, is there a timeline for that? Can you ever really get back the relationship you had, getting over the hurt and bad feelings? Can you get over the other people in their lives?

3.5 – This was a fairly good read that I enjoyed. I actually skimmed the first book in this series before reading this one and I was really annoyed with the last several chapters and the ending of that book. This book was MUCH better! I liked the growth of the characters and that some things I thought might be a problem () proved not to be as bad as I was expecting. I did get REALLY tired of Lily at times in this book, though!! I thought she was quite immature () and incredibly selfish () :( But, I did like this book! I liked the second chance romance and the HEA. I also liked that this book wasn’t as graphic with the sexual content as some other NA books I’ve read recently--it was more tasteful, with more left to the imagination. But, be warned that there is a bit of R-rated language.

Continuing the story which was begun in the first book Incomplete, Complete picks up after the events of that novel. I've read both, and I have to say to truly appreciate the story, go back and read the first one to familiarize yourself with the characters and their backgrounds. Incomplete is just as good as its sequel. From the beginning of the book, I was drawn in once more by Lindy Zart's story about Lily and Grayson. There were lots of feels when I found myself close to tears, and of course there were moments in the book which made me laugh as well. There were also a few scenes where I found myself saying “Yes!” out loud.
Both Grayson and Lily are crafted in such a way that they both feel like real people. Lindy definitely captured the ups and downs of relationships, and it felt genuine. To me, what really brought that to life brilliantly was the dialogue, one of my favorite parts of this book. In my opinion, Lindy really knows how to bring out the character's emotions through that aspect, and I really liked knowing what Lily's innermost thoughts were, since this book is told from her perspective.
I loved this book, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for contemporary romance, but it is so much more than that. My rating is 5/5 platypires.

I finally got around to reading this one. I remember the last one had a lot of drama and teen angst, which I liked but hated at the same time. I knew going in that there would be more of that, and I relished it.
Lindy's stories always keep me hooked and I know I can always expect a good story from her. I wasn't disappointed with Complete, and all the drama made me roll my eyes a couple of times (out of exasperation).
I liked that Grayson and Lily have matured somewhat since the last time I read about them. Before in Incomplete, they used to avoid communication when a good conversation would have cleared up some problems. This time around we see them opening up more and having a line of communication. Granted, there are some times when they try to pretend nothing is wrong, but I chalk that up to being human. I know characters cannot be perfect because we're all human and flawed. And those flaws are why I read stories from Lindy Zart.
I especially loved the drama near the end because it was handled differently than other times I've read about that scenario. I'm glad Lily and Grayson managed to escape that particular trap. It was a satisfying end and for that reason I give Complete 5/5 Platypires.
