1972: The Buyers

Rate this book
One young man fights for his country, is severely wounded, and returns home hoping for no more than a fair shake from society, believing as he does in the principle of Goodness for which he was ready to lay down his life. The other young man skated on military service and assiduously enjoys the lifestyle of amoral hedonism deriving from a career which is itself a fabrication of deception and manipulation. Destroying his heroic rival becomes an all-consuming necessity as the materialistic buyer realizes that Goodness does exist and has a mind of its own.
