Even if we assume that only half of the depictions in this book are accurate, it suggest that both the Clinton and Obama families and their minions are in need of serious mental health intervention and none of them should be allowed on the White House tour, much less qualify for POTUS. Unfortunately this book says more about the small-mindedness and intellectual weakness of the Lilliputian sized intellect of today’s American low-information-voter.

"In a democracy, people get the government they deserve," This is a sad reflection upon todays America that is infatuated with the cult-like politics of the Clintons and Obamas. We can do better.

This book was really the cherry on the cake.
Audiobook: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HG9Pc...

From the 'deep background' of the two families, a tale of intrigue is spun around these two families. Hundreds of people who boasted to be connected to the two families, shared their experiences. Many of them insisted on remaining anonymous, while in many other instances references to articles are provided.

This book is a sequel to the author's books, The Truth About Hilary (2005) and The Amateur - about Obama (2012).

I found the role of Valerie Jarrett in the Obamas' lives disturbing, as well as intriguing. She zoomed in and connected herself intravenously to them, providing or withholding blood as she thought fit. There's no way that they could make it on their own. She determined who might see the president and who won't; who would get fired and who could stay. She followed them everywhere, even when they went on holiday. She was everywhere at all times, even visiting their private rooms late at night. She firmly established herself in the White House and made sure she was the actual ruler of the roost.

Michelle and Valerie were the behind the scenes operators, pushing Obama wherever they thought he should be on everything - he could not take decisions without their consent. They overruled decisions made by Obama and his political advisers. He executed their plans. Period. The 'cabal' around the president prevented him from getting closer to the press, the Congress, the media, and anyone who ever tried to come closer than they thought necessary. In a way he was isolated.

It is a well-researched book and a gripping read. I listened to it, actually. A great experience.

It was a fight for the control of the DNC and the country. Bill Clinton on the one side, and Obama on the other. In between there was the rest of the country and the blood was flowing behind the scenes.

Now I am off to read Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign by Jonathan Allen, Amie Parnes. Tragic saga, right?

Thanks for being so patient with me. :-))

Usually this isn't my type of book. Even the title, Blood Feud: The Obamas vs. the Clintons, sounds like a headline you could read while you wait in a check-out line. That is what I thought the book would be like. It wasn’t actually.

Although the book is called an exposé and much of what is related isn’t exactly complimentary, some parts read almost like a volume of history on four powerful political figures at odds with each other. Then there were the sections which were more sensationalized, or at least they seemed so to me, although I wondered if that was actually the case or because I was reading about current events. There I found myself more in sympathy with the individual people—Barack, Michelle, Bill and Hillary—and greatly relieved to just be an ordinary citizen. It gave me a new perspective on what incredibly stressful lives they lead in the ‘fishbowl’ of public office.

Klein explained a number of political concepts I didn’t know or hadn’t heard before, such as, Politicians are not like ordinary folks, in that they don’t have friends so much as they have permanent interests. And, Politics is ‘played’ much like a game; some politicians are very good at the art/sport of politicking and others either do not know how to play the game or are unwilling to do so for whatever reason(s). I learned a lot from Klein and I might read him again. While I don’t expect the Obama’s and Clinton’s would like the book and I didn’t take any pleasure in learning about the hostility, suffering or moral corruption among them, Klein seemed to stick to a story and presented favorable as well as unfavorable information. It was not just a smear.

Regardless of your political affiliation, it is possible to want to understand people and what their lives are like, for good purposes as well as bad. Everyone who reads, or chooses not to read about someone, comes from motives worth examining. To me, that was the most interesting aspect of this book: why did I want to read it? Hopefully the reason was, that I might gain more empathy for them and not less. Now I see these four individuals as individual persons, unique and struggling, not perfect and yet with issues, battles and concerns of their own. May I be less quick to judge, more compassionate and more faithful in prayer for them and all the leaders of our nation.

It was interesting, informative and absorbing read which I finished in one day and a night.

Since I am not a fan of either of these families.... I really enjoyed this book.
Let's be clear. This is no great work of art, but it is a good telling of the interactions between these two camps of people and little is left to the imagination.

If you are a strong Democrat or if you have Fond feelings for either one of these groups of people, you may want to avoid this book. on the other side... If you are like myself, a Libratarian with a strong opinion of the polictical system and the people who help to degrade our nation... This is a book that will feed your fix.

Well-written for this political novice. the author confirmed much of what I thought. However, both Bill and Barack think quite highly of themselves; but I think of the two Bill is smarter and more politcally savvy. I did not know Clinton's health problems were so severe, both his and hers; and I agree that should Bill die before 2016, Hillary will drop out of politics.

As for the Obamas, I hope they enjoyed their lavish lifestyle paid for by the American people, I hope their consciouses some day bother them for messing up their country; and I hope they disappear from the political scene. Their eight year reign is proof that a president needs a depth of political experience before even considering a run at the White House.

Is it gossip? Most likely, at least partially. But is it a delicious read? Absolutely! And I'd guess enough of it is true to add to the fun. If you are a devoted, steadfast follower of either of these couples it will likely annoy you and you won't even finish. If you are not then you will likely snicker through most of it. Either way, it is a fun, easy read.

Delicious, National Enquirer type read about the Clintons and the Obamas. Bottom line is that the Clintons and the Obamas hate each other. All of them have bottomless egos and narcissism to spare. The sad part about this book is that none of them care about the country or our future. They are only interested in their own careers and egos. Hillary and Bill and Michelle and Barak do not have real marriages. They use each other for personal gain and power, which is all they are interested in. For a fun summer read, read this. It might not all be true but it seems true and since all of these politicians are interested in perception, that is enough. I am frightened for the future of a country with leaders who do not want to do the right thing or the thing that is better for our future. They just want to do things that increase their power and their self absorption and their nauseating overwhelming self importance. They will leave the hard decisions to others.

Heads up, Edward Klein relies heavily on unnamed insider accounts of historic events. Many will question the validity, and that’s reasonable, nonetheless what is presented tarnishes President Obama and Ms. Obama’s façade.

Mr. Klein divulges their peculiar dependence upon Valerie Jarrett. She artfully maneuvers the Obamas, overseeing major decisions. She puppeteers every domestic and foreign policy executed. More than a senior advisor, she seems to be a Rasputinish figure. ‘Behind every powerful man…?’ Mr. Klein claims she even lived in the private quarters of the Obama White House.

Blood Feud paints an enormous difference between President Obama’s version of events surrounding the Benghazi attack and Secretary Clinton’s account. Whatever the truth is, the onus remains with Sec. Clinton, she is the face of Benghazi. Much to her political detriment—which she blames on President Obama.

Justified or not, the Clintons juxtaposed to the Obamas, display extraordinary command of purpose. Their driving force is a third term in the White House, it is the lifeblood of their existence. The “blood feud” stems from the Obamas barricading the route to Pennsylvania Avenue. The Obamas don’t miss an opportunity to slight the Clintons, withholding vital political analytics, trash talking them to influencers, etc. President Obama is at the helm of the Democrats, despite President Bill Clinton’s strategic efforts to wrestle it away.

The behind the scene shenanigans at the DNC, the tug-o-war over Oprah, President Bill Clinton's antics make this a fascinating read.

This could read "Ripped from the headlines" - that is if the current administration hadn't turned the alphabet networks into a state run mouthpiece. We certainly see that loyalty is a rare commodity in politics, especially between frenemies like the Clintons and Obamas. No wonder our country is at one of its lowest points in history.

I really liked this book. It is clear to me that the author, Edward Klein nicely researched the topics; it is understandable why his sources, though quoted, couldn't be named- especially given the apparent vindictive tendency of the three major topics. I'm a big fan of Bill Clinton, voted for Obama (the second time)and have always been less positive towards Hillary. The book squarely sets out the psychopathic (narcissism, lack of empathy, using of others, etc,)nature of politics when it gets to the level of presidential campaigns. Apart from some of the politics as usual chatter we all read about, Klein examines the impact the office has on the intimacy between the two couples; we learn that they have separate bedrooms, actively seek "alone time" (vacation and travel apart) and really don't have lovey-dovey relationships. The thrust of the book concerns the double-cross perceived by the Clintons to exist because of Obama's failure to publicly endorse Hillary's 2016 presidential candidacy after Bill delivered his famous Obama nominating speech at the last convention (and after Bill made other concessions as well). Some of the book addresses Obama's leadership deficiencies and Michelle's possible bid for the Senate in Illinois and even Chelsea Clinton's possible political ambitions (she apparently doesn't have a lovey-dovey deal going on at home either). The book is well written, good page count and easy to read. I recommend buying it.

Obama vs. Clintons: Is there a bad blood between them? Ed Klein explains.

This is another great work of Ed Klein that exposes that bad blood exist between Obama and the Clintons. Clintons were not happy since Obama beat Hilary to win the presidential nomination from the Democratic Party in 2008. So why would Obama care for Hilary’s win in 2016? Ed Klein is masterful in exposing the bitterness among this old political nemesis. Hilary reluctantly accepted the role of Secretary of State Position to work for Obama and now she is distancing herself from many Obama’s controversial policies. Klein observes that Obama is quietly supporting Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren for the 2016 presidential race. There are sources that say that Warren, “like Obama, wants to transform America into a European-style democratic-socialist state.” Another source describes Warren as Obama’s “Mini-Me.” This is an interesting and thought provoking book; highly recommended.

A source told me to read this book,I can't elaborate on this source but a different source reiterated what the first source said and both unnamed sources stated to this Reviewer that this book should be read. Why did I read this book? I had/have a stack of holds and yet I felt compelled to pull this from the stacks and give it ago. Redundant and mindless this "book" would have been better as a fiction novel and then facts wouldn't matter. Somewhat amusing but altogether blah. Doubled spaced lines help flesh out the page count as does counting blank pages as pages. As I read, I imagined each vignette performed as play,an over the top farce with surprisingly Hillary Clinton coming off as the most sympathetic character. According to the author and his sources Mrs. Clintons preferred name to call everyone from her husband to the current President "That Mother F***er"... and that was about it.

There are no new or surprising revelations here. Although I believe most of it, there is no documentation, and although Klein's sources obviously could not speak on the record, it still weakens the book. Klein REALLY hates the Obamas (I can see why), kind of hates Hillary Clinton, and kind of likes Bill. Oh, and they all hate each other.

I'll say up front, with all their flaws, I am a Clinton believer of the top notch! I am hoping for Hillary (and pretty positive that she will be a winner) love Chelsea, and that incredibly intelligent "good old boy" Bill. Sure, I believe Clinton, although doing good for others, might have self-serving or Hillary serving motivation. After all, I believe all politicians are egomaniacs, BUT, so what? tThe Clintons and their sometimes shady benificiaries)are caring and feeding people, keeping people alive from the Clinton Global Initiative (or whatever they call themselves these days.) I can absolutely see screaming fights filled with profanity and perhaps a book or two up side the head. But one thing both Clintons' have: intelligence beyond believe and the inside awareness to run this country once again, getting two for the price of one. And by all means don't count Chelsea out. I see that Clinton-ess rising in her, albeit in a more gentle way. Look what Bill Clinton did for our country: balanced the budget, worked on both sides of the aisle to get things working, one of the smartest Presidents (imho) ever. Now get a double dose with Hillary, not so nice, but she tells in like it is, and as long as she is getting it done, she doesn't care if people like her). Okay, Benghazi--this is not the only book or article that affirms that Hillary was framed for this mess. Check it out (and not just on Fox news)

Now lets get to Obama, even with my Hillary losing the primary sour grapes, I voted for Barack twice. And I wish I could take both those votes back, even if it meant jumping to the other side. This book pictures him as an ineffectual narcissist with little to no business being President of the United States. He has a shadow president in Valerie Jarrett, who basically tells him almost every step he is going to make. This book claims that Obama needs Clinton (which he does) for help on the public front, promises Clinton things and then goes back on them. He is shown to have done this with others as well. Jarett, a huge Clinton hater states "promise him anything, it doesn't matter, we don't have to give him anything."

I have to say that I was surprised about the sections of this book about Obama. I thought he was weak and someone that we would just have to be stuck with until the next election. I did not know just how weak, and how childlike he is in getting his own way, splitting Dems and Republicans so virtually no business can be done.

Both sides being said, I think this book, like me, is pro Clinton. Both sides have their warts, but at least Hillary will step in and get things done. I do have a question about the validity of this book, almost all cites are anonymous, private matters of both families, such as sleeping arrangements are remarked upon. Not only how does that matter, but how does the author know that????

I feel that the book was interesting, but I liked it because my bias goes along with the bias of the book.

Also read: Giving by Bill Clinton
Haven't read Hillary's new one yet, but it is on my shelf, wouldn't get anything about the Clinton's on the Kindle, they stay on my bookshelf.(and in all fairness, so do Barack's)

In the interest of full disclosure, I was not a fan of either of these political "royal" families prior to my perusal of this book. And they most certainly did NOT earn any brownie points upon closing the last chapter. Obviously, author Edward Klein would express similar sentiments. His disdain for both parties is blatant from the get-go. Did this bias his work? Yeah. I've no idea the how much of the dirt he dug up is true. In all likelihood, liberties were taken and bad behavior exaggerated. Nevertheless, I think it is safe to say Santa will be leaving both couple coal-filled stockings for the rest of eternity.
Is this book enjoyable? Not really. I cannot say I care for its National Enquirer style (actually, I've never read a single article in the National Enquirer. Does it still exist? But this reads like I imagine NE would, sort of on par with the People magazine I am sometimes forced to resort to in doctor's office waiting rooms when the only other options are Field and Stream and the dippy Highlights. Goofus and Gallant! As if!) However, I must admit to full engagement throughout the course of its forty some chapters. Think of this as a Political version of Supersize Me. If you weren't terribly fond of McDonald's before watching Morgan Spurlock gorge himself for 30 days you probably haven't set foot in an outlet (save maybe to use the facilities) since your unfortunate viewing. Same applies here. These guys make the characters in Mad Men look like saints. Klein hits hard and gets personal. He routinely refers to Bill Clinton's bulbous red nose, Hillary's dowdy pantsuits, Michelle's iciness, and Barak's ego. Although I was somewhat intrigued by much of the reported dialogue between DC players I am wary about the accuracy because most accounts are attributed to "a friend who was present during the conversation related to the author of this book..." Well, some friend! But maybe they're all like that in the political sphere, eager to talk about their "friends" to snoopy investigative journalists, eager to cast each other in a bad light.
Despite my cynicism about the validity of much of this book's contents I cannot begin to fathom how on earth (or any other planet for that matter) anyone can still support Barak Obama. Really? Really? Have you not paid attention for the last six years? While I'm no member of Team Bill I do acknowledge his intelligence and ability to con, er charm people. Hillary is another story. I keep hoping Saturday Night Live will do a skit parodying What Not To Wear featuring Clinton and Stacey up in arms over her pantsuits. (Hey, I never claimed to be a saint, either!) If she is legitimately elected president in 2016, heaven help us! And Miss Michelle, leave the poor kids alone! Let them eat cake I say! And ice cream! (The Far Side reference.)
In light of my reading I maintain my position, Atticus Finch for President!

My only interest in this book is that I, as an American citizen, am concerned about the leadership of our country. The book is captivating for sure, and also plenty disgusting. If half the things Klein describes are true it is a scandal of epic proportions. The problem with the book is that Klein gets most of his information about “he said” and “she said” from secondary sources, people who supposedly were in on private conversations between Bill and Hillary or Barack and Michelle. As far as I know there is no way to verify those kinds of things. Of course, they may be true as well as false. The book first gained notoriety for its story that Obama wanted Hillary to invent the story of the video to explain what happened in Benghazi and Hillary refused, so he got Susan Rice to do it. The other story is that Obama had to ask Bill to save his candidacy in 2012 by giving the convention speech. Bill hated to do it because he truly thinks Obama is a terrible president and deserved to lose. Besides, everything the Clintons do is directed toward getting back into the White House. Well, true or not (and I suspect most of it is true), as they say, it is what it is.

I listened to this on audio and probably could have listened to the entire book in one day if I had had the time. Very interesting and at times sensational, but reading this defintely put some of the pieces to the political puzzle together for me. I've always wondered why Hilary would have agreed to be Secretary of State under Obama, given the circumstances, and Blood Feud gave a very reasonable explanation as to why. I'm sure all four of them would dispute much of what is written, as it portrays all of them as people of low character. Really, Bill is the only one of the four that can overcome it--he's probably the most clever of the bunch and definitely has the best personality. Some who read this book are bothered by the fact that the author is not naming his sources. While that is a concern, I also understand why he can't. I'm sure if he planned to name the sources, most of them would have never said a word, lest that cast them out of the "inner circle."

I take issue with Klein calling himself a journalist. I categorize him as a political writer and he clearly has an agenda and a bias in this writing. The book could have used a better editor--there was much repetition and some of the reporting clearly falls under the category of hearsay. That said, I enjoyed the book and tend to believe much of it. Politicians are pretty evil in my opinion. They seem to have no scruples and would sell their souls (and have!) to win elections and further their power. I'm not surprised by the scenarios related in this book. These two power couples are arrogant, opportunistic and thoroughly unscrupulous in my opinion. If even half of this is true, it's quite a remarkable account of their distrust and even hatred of each other. I'd like to send all 4 of them to a deserted island to fight it out.

As one of my friends from across the pond always says when he's flummoxed, this book was "amazeballs". I could not believe the level and depth of information exposed about the "real" relationship between the Obamas and the Clintons. Very chilly at best and at worst very much in need of some hands-on "therapy". Everyone should read this book with an open mind and keep some of the nuggets revealed in mind before pressing the lever or the number two pencil to vote in the upcoming 2014 elections. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.... This saying applies equally to both parties; no one party should have all the power as that is a true recipe for disaster. Read for yourself and decide.

This book was very easy to read and almost impossible to put down. I think Edward Klein is one of the great political authors of our time. The book is not for someone who is in love with either the Clintons or President Obama however. It makes Obama out to be a cold jerk, and the Clintons out to be power lovers who want nothing more but to be back in the White House at any cost. If you are a Republican this book is for you. If your a Democrat who is dissatisfied with Obama and does not wish to see Hilary Clinton as your 2016 nominee, this book is for you also. Despite it only appealing to 50% of the nation it is an amazing book and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great book!!! One of my favorite lines from the book is Hilary quoted saying the "Bill was on one of his magical mystery tours" around the world. This was definitely a gossip book and I found myself feeling a little bad for the Clinton's and Obama's that their closest friends had revealed such intimate information about them. While the author was hard on both families I believe that he was a little bit in awe of Bill while he had no use for Obama. I recommend this book to anyone even those that are not particularly interested in politics!

Although poorly sourced this book read like a Spanish novella and b/c of that I gave it four stars. I am no fan of both these families but if I had to tolerate any one of them it would be the Clintons. Michele looks like such a spoiled angry 'elitist' and Barack like the, " please don't leave me" kind of guy that it made this book all the more fun to read. The interesting thought for me is if these supposed sources, upon Barack's exit from the White House, will come forward and verify the information or not. I suspect we are in for quite the surprise at the end of the term.

It reads like a Hollywood novel - juicy stories about well-known celebrities, feuds, bad blood, vindictiveness and promised revenge.

But Edward Klein doesn't write gossip. He has very credible sources, is highly placed on the political stage and writes what he can corroborate. This follow-up to The Amateur is eye-opening drama that really sheds light on the behind-the-scenes stories in Washington.

I only hope its publication date, 2 years in advance of the 2016 election, can help inform those who still believe Hillary would make a good president.

Good political book. Lots of anonymous sources help provide the juice for the tidbits in the book. No real surprise that the Clintons and Obamas do not like each other, but to me the revelations about Valerie Jarrett and Michelle Obama are the best part of the book. These two are joined at the hip and the author leads us to believe that they will remain so joined even after the President leaves the White House.

Two uniquely dysfunctional families, both of whom have made it to the White House. It tells us a lot about the US Electorate and our dysfunctional Congress!

Highly partisan and fairly predictable this book nonetheless seems very believable. While grossly underestimate the good things that both Obama and the Clintons have done, it struck this progressive reader as somewhat unfair. Nonetheless there was some very important and insightful pieces of information.
What was there about Benghazi seemed very believable and somewhat shocking all the same time.

OUTSTANDING

I greatly enjoyed this book. Mr. Klein has a very convincing way of telling the story of the feud between these politicos. While I do not care for the Clinton's, I loath Obama, and I believe he is portrayed very accurately in this. look. I applaud this author for bringing the truth to light.

Not the best read book I've ever read, but as a conservative I did love the blood in the water. They certainly viciously hate each other & there's enough truth in what he writes to be quite credible....you can see it in the interactions of the 4 of them in everyday life, quite apart from the book. Such a fun read!
