What is absurd, ridiculous, random, and downright hysterical? The inside of Timmy Boyle's mind. If laughter is the best medicine, you will be healthy for months after reading Inside Timmy's Mind - a collection of insanely pointed and laugh out loud funny accounts of everyday life, as seen through the eyes of Canadian up-standing comedian Timmy Boyle. Inside Timmy's Mind was not written to enlighten you with life-changing secrets or to bombard you with advice on business success, improving your health, or enriching your marriage. The main purpose is to make you laugh, something Timmy Boyle easily accomplishes with his natural with and clean comedy. Author, Timmy Boyle, is the founder of Up Standing Comedy and Canada's first clean comedy club circuit. Inside Timmy's Mind is packed with fun for the whole family.
What a delightful book full of short, humorous stories. This is a perfect read for something quick and lighthearted before falling asleep at night, or while you sit in a waiting room for anything. Short and easy to read humorous stories that will delight every woman, although written by a man. Men will get a chuckle out of it as well. Timmy turns everyday circumstances into hilarious antics. I'm pretty sure he covers every holiday as well. Go ahead, treat yourself to a book that finds humor in every situation.
Random, quirky, hilarious adventures in every day life. A delightful book that will have you holding your sides from laughter. A quick and easy read that clean and fit for family reading. A read a story or two every night before going to sleep. Laughter is good for the soul and spirit. I definitely recommend this.
If you've ever wanted to read a haiku about Hannah Montana's hair or wondered what the colour purple would say in an interview, this book is for you. It's a collection of 40 sketches or monologues from Canadian stand-up comic Timmy Boyle. Timmy can see the funny or ridiculous side of everyday events. Whether it's surviving Y2K,battling writer's block, helping his daughter with phonetics or trying not to die during a bout of man flu, there’s always something to laugh about when viewed from Timmy’s off-centre perspective.
Not only are the sketches funny, but they’re also clean and family-friendly. There are so many times I’ve loved a comedian on a TV panel show, only to be disappointed when I’ve watched one of their late-night comedy shows and discovered it was full of F-bombs and crude jokes. Timmy shows that you can be genuinely funny without resorting to those tactics.
This is a great book to dip into for a dose of the ‘feel-goods’. Warmly recommended for those who don’t want to take life too seriously (or who do take themselves too seriously and need to snap out of it).
