Amateur sleuth, Nola Shepherd loves Christmas. This year, she, her family, and her boyfriend have rented a cabin for the holidays and are looking forward to a week of fun winter activities and relaxed, cozy evenings.

A fun holiday short story
Nola and her husband are driving up to spend Christmas with her parents and her sister at a mountain resort. On the drive up a blizzard swoops in early and the roads are so bad they barely make it to the resort. When they get to the office they can barely see across the parking lot. They go to check in but could not find any staff however they do have a welcome package.in it are the keys the two cabins and a map showing where they are. They go and move their baggage into the cabins. From there the mystery deepens with several surprises. A fun read.

It was all fun and festive until the blizzard hit and right before that, a body was found in the main building of the mountain resort Nola and her family were staying at. The cabins sounded really cool, when there was power and heat of course. Maybe it was a Christmas miracle but everything was solved on Christmas Day so the guests could at least enjoy their stay again.

Short read awesome plot loved it !
This is the second book I have read, well detailed and plot too. A page turner and can’t help wanting to know more with every turn of a page. Love it ! Awesome book !

This was an enjoyable quick Christmas mystery. I like reading anything written by Patti Benning. She does a great job of setting up the plot and making you wonder who was responsible.
