In the heart of a turbulent galaxy, Captain Marz, a Prillon warrior, has dedicated his life to protecting innocents from the ruthless Hive. But after a harrowing capture and integration with Hive technology, he finds himself banished to The Colony—a harsh, unforgiving planet where hope seems like a distant memory. With his chosen second dead and the belief in a matched mate all but extinguished, Marz has given up hoping for change, for a reason to keep fighting, for a matched mate.
On Earth, Rowan Cochrane's life takes a dramatic turn when she exposes corruption in the oil industry, only to be wrongfully convicted just days before Christmas. Desperate and out of options, she volunteers to become an Interstellar Bride, expecting nothing but a cold, duty-bound marriage to a stranger from a distant planet. Instead, she finds herself matched with not one, but two formidable Prillon warriors, both scarred by their pasts yet fiercely determined to claim her--body and soul.
As violent electromagnetic storms threaten The Colony's survival, Rowan's geological expertise becomes crucial. Forced into close quarters with her battle-hardened mates, she fights not only for their survival but also to bring a spark of holiday joy into their bleak existence. Despite her guarded heart, every touch, every kiss ignites a connection that challenges her beliefs about love and happily-ever-afters.
Two planets, three broken souls, and one unexpected chance at redemption. Will they navigate the storm inside and out, or will the pressures of their worlds tear them apart? Discover a tale of love, resilience, and the extraordinary bond that can form when hope is least expected.

Cpt Marz didn’t expect to get a mate. His second, Perro, caused harm to the brethren and now dead. He is without a second and feels he has lost all honor being sent to the Colony. When he is informed that his mate is come, he must find worthy second and pray that he will not do harm to her. Rowan Cochran is a fighter and had exposed a wrong. Unfortunately, no one believed her. She would be convicted of a crime she did not commit and she needs an out. When she is matched to two Prillon warriors, she didn’t expect them to be scarred and carrying trauma from their past.
This one is a celebration as well as a deep dive into what makes up who we are. These three need each other. They all seem to believe that they are not worthy of love. This is a story of hope and finding someone that you can count on. Lt Vance is Marz’ second. He too doesn’t not see himself worthy. With the hive implants causing more issues, he fights them at every turn. But the storm outside is going to test them all. I was wondering about the fate our two Prillon’s. They were both struggling. Thank goodness Rowan was their anchor. She kept them grounded. They all fought their demons and pulled through. I loved that they experienced Christmas on the Colony as well. They need to add those happy moments to their world.
Rowan was convicted of a crime she didn't commit, because she blew the whistle on her employer for putting profits above the value of human life. She chose to become an Interstellar Bride rather than spend the next 20 years in prison. Sent to the Colony, she was matched to two Prillon warriors who never dreamed they would be blessed with a mate.
Within days, they are facing a danger so great it could destroy not only their newly formed bond but the entire planet.
Rowan's knowledge and experience place her in the forefront of discovering and solving the cause of the storms and saving the planet, but will her new mates allow her to put herself in danger?
And will she be able to crack through their defenses and heal whatever has them both so uptight and resisting their connection?
Come along on this highly charged and emotional ride with three souls desperately seeking solace and everlasting love. Hang on! It's safe and bit of a bumpy ride.
Another fantastic addition to this addictive series. This book is about two battle weary warriors that have scars deeper on the inside than anything on the outside and their mate.
Captain Marz, and his second, Lt. Vance have all but given up hope for a matched mate. Years have passed since Prime Neil allowed Brides to be matched to warriors on the Colony and only a handful of Brides have arrived.
Rowan Cochran is a whistle blower caught up in a corrupt system that chews people up and doesn't have the decency to spit them out. She has been sentenced to 20 years for a crime she didn't commit. Out of options, she volunteers to be a bride.
Loved the story of these three. Each was damaged yet still strong despite everything they had endured and willing to risk so much for love. They were perfect for each other. Then again, I never expected anything different from the bride testing.
I loved that we got to visit past brides and their mates as they try to figure out what is causing the storms that are wrecking havoc on their base. Marz gets his bride and takes Vance up on his offer to be his second. The interstellar computer program seems to know what was needed and sent Rowan, a scientist in the exact field they need. Come celebrate the Christmas holiday as only the women on the Colony can.
I enjoyed this story. It was fast paced and kept me turning pages to find out what happened next. I highly recommend you read anything and everything written by Grace Goodwin.
Three become one unit after much sould searching. Whole hearted communication of fears, misunderstanding and cultural differences. I understand the series and couples mating but do wish there was less of graphic detailed episodes. Rather have one or two and rest briefly mentuobed and more of the interaction of the trio and there life on colony. Specifically in this story would have loved to see if Vance could have figured out how to take over the machine rather then shut it down. With hope of teaching others how to take other old systems down and learn how they could benused against newest hive tech.
Rowan chose going to The Colony rather than being in jail after exposing corruption. Both Marz and Vance feel they don't deserve a mate but, after seeing Rowan in the transport room, they could not give her up. The problem is the storm raging outside that could cause significant damage to The Colony. As days go by and Rowan learns about her mates, she knows she made the correct decision. Now they just have to work together to solve the cause of the storms so they can have their happy ending.
What a wonderful celebration of life and love! Rowan, Marz and Vance are matched to be mates. As they work at their relationship they work to save the Colony’s planet furthering the arc of the series. I loved this book! This threesome are wonderful for each other and I loved the sense of celebrating a joyous season for everyone on The Colony.
A suspense filled love story that you can't put down!! Fall in love with Rowan, Cpt Marz and Vance!! This threesome is definitely full of love and family! Grab this book and enjoy the journey this threesome go through to get to their HEA!!
Got confused at some parts. Didn’t much care for Rowan. She’s seems petulant and stubborn as hell. My Heart went out to Vance, who seemed to struggle Most. Ending was kinda sappy but I’d read this again.
Interesting, colony story about the actual planet with a mystery. Anyone who has read Grace Goodwin stories knows if it involves Prilion warriors, there were always two males and a much needed human female.
A light hearted fun Christmas story, set on the colony. It has just enough angst to keep you engaged without taking away from the cozy light Christmas vibes. Really enjoyed it.
