STEELE WATERS: THE FINALE

Rate this book
***THIS IS A RE-RELEASE***

Phoenix, Deja, Blaise, and Janelle are back...

Part 1 of Steele Waters introduced us to four people whose worlds collide in more ways than one.

Phoenix has shed some of the hard exterior he possessed prior to meeting Deja. He's confident that this woman has broken down his walls and reached through to pluck his heart out of his chest. At least that's what he feels like as the atmosphere switches and danger also barges through his wall.

Deja has found love in Phoenix. He's complex yet pliable. When she's with him, she feels everything a woman should feel in the presence of a real man. There's no doubt in her mind that Phoenix is her person. However, her curiosity leads her straight into dangerous territory, where lies and betrayal exist.

After an adulthood plagued by women at his beck and call, Blaise has finally met his match. While navigating Lauren's case, he's torn between loyalty to her and where his heart is leading him... which is straight to Janelle. After a few mishandled situations involving the two women, Blaise has to put his foot down if he's to snare the likes of Janelle. If he thought a tornado flipped his life upside down, it was just the beginning.

Unassuming yet seductive, Janelle has flaws more profound than the physical. Her heart and mental are in shambles. And not at the hands of a man. She's keeping Blaise at a distance for good reason. His indecisiveness is not what she needs in her life. With a family who seemingly hates her, she's struggling to make sense of her life. Moving to Crestview Waters was supposed to be a fresh start for her. However, a tornado and fragile feelings threatens to ruin it all.

3.5/4⭐

Whew, this was a lot and I'm not sure how I feel. A lot was unpacked from Quinn’s past, Levi, Lauren, Sheldrena, and so much more! While everything was resolved I think the pace of this book and additional information added to the plot made it feel rushed. I still am not bought in on Lauren's situation and how that played out. Overall I would still give this book 3.5 /4 ⭐ but do feel that it fell short.

I had so many questions after the end of book 1, that I couldn’t wait to jump into this one. Monique girl, you done turned everybody into a private investigator, detective, and blood hound looking for clues to get through this thang! Whew…… 😤 Who knew that after Quin’s death, and Deja coming to Crestview Waters would unearth so much evil and drama!

I love Phoenix! 😍 This man was a stellar attorney, with a bit of bad boy, who loved his family and his woman fiercely. When anything went down with the Steele family, Phoenix was the first call everyone made, as they knew he would handle it. He and Deja were adorable. I enjoyed watching him change from the mean and grumpy soul, into such a loving partner for Deja.

Blaise. SMDH! Man, for you to be so smart, you are surely stupid as well. You ain’t see nothing wrong with Lauren? I knew right away that she wasn’t right, with the way she was coming around like you were her man! 👀 That woman was manipulation personified! Ughhh….. 🤬 So glad that Janelle got out of her head and gave Blaise a chance. Yes, he has some issues, but he changed for her, that should count for something right?

What was going on in the Bayou? Breeding these evil, hateful ass parents! 😡 Quin and Janelle had terrible examples of parents, but they both had such pure hearts. I was happy they were able to escape and live the lives they deserved.

I hated that we didn’t get to see weddings and babies being born. I appreciated the suspense and drama of the story, but it took a lot of the story to find resolution to those things, kinda leaving our couples hanging. I hope that there is more to come. Nice finale. 👍🏾👍🏾

Whewww this book will have you on the edges of your seat 🤣 😂 so be prepared ….🎢

There were so many times I wanted to jump through this book and …… 🤬🤬😤😠🙎🏾‍♀️🙎🏾‍♀️🙎🏾‍♀️
That Lauren was so damn crazy smh 🤦🏾‍♀️
I felt so bad it took Blaise so long to see right through her!

I love how the Steeles family stood beside each other no matter what! They were a force to be reckoned with! People were gone learn sooner or later! Loved them!😊

Drama left and right!🥴
Spent too much time on Quinn and Lauren.
Poor Deja couldn’t even enjoy her pregnancy and the book could have ended better.

M. Monique did her thing with this one. She put together all the missing pieces to this crazy puzzle.

The fact that nothing was predictable!! Wow! I wish it was one book so I didn’t have to go through all that stress after book 1 😂

Whewww ‼️

I have been waiting for the finale to come I was desperate to find out the truth and of what comes next. This was a very good mystery and thriller romance for me the suspense was at edge and the twists that were revealed left me shocked 😂. The Steele family are a tight knit bunch that support each other through everything and represent strong black unity and intellect. Janelle with Blaise and Phoenix with Deja were right for each other. Their love was healing and im happy I got a peak into it especially with Janelle womening up and stop running lol. I think I would have gone crazy with all that was happening left and right. The ones who got hit heavy were Janelle with her toxic family but most of all Blaise and Deja having to find out all they found for themselves. What I gotta say is people can be so wicked and hurt people hurt others unfortunately instead of healing and trying to do honestly right. But people got their dues met which they all deserved and are suffering greatly 👌. It was unfortunate for Quin she was a good soul who never really got to enjoy her whole life surrounded by evilness but Nauni has a happy ending so I think that makes up for it that she will live on in her absence trusted to someone she loved dearly.

Author M. Monique ended the story off good she left it at everything is settled and future looks bright and if she ever wanted to pick it back up she could but I’m satisfied with it all I hope she does more books like these in the future I enjoyed every moment.

This finale was definitely worth the read!! My boys Phoenix and Blaise came soooo far, being molded and shaped into the perfect yet imperfect men for my girls Deja and Janelle <3 i appreciated the shy topics of how the most corrupt people can be living among us in church playing the innocent card. The twist and turns through this story had be on the edge, especially since it involved children :,) but 5/5 ending, it all happened for a reason!!

This was a really good series. I love the way the Steele men stood 10 toes down behind who they loved!! I also love the fact how Deja went so hard behind her girls. I loved the sisterhood her and Jenelle had. 10/10 for sure!

ending

The book was really good and well written good characters and good feels. However, the ending made you feel like you fell off a cliff. I had to check for a third installment. Which there wasn’t one. It’s was abrupt and misplaced for an ending in this genre.

I don't understand how Janelle went back home to a family that hates her. She was willing to give them all these chances even when they treated her like trash. But couldn't give Blaise a chance.

I was so confused about the storyline of Quinn, the pastor and first lady whose name I can not remember. But what I got was the pastor started sleeping with Quinn. He falls in love with her, she gets pregnant. the first lady fakes a pregnancy, kills Quinn and keeps the baby........lord

Like I said not her best work. But it held my attention.

conclusion

I’m glad this is over. It was a pretty decent conclusion and I’m glad all the loose ends got tied up. Lauren and Mccombs got everything they deserved. Some things were predictable but overall a decent story. Also still needs an editor this book gave me whiplash when all of sudden you’re in a totally different setting all within the same paragraph.

Steele waters run deep

Steele Waters: The Finale" by M. Monique is a captivating continuation of the series, where Phoenix and Deja's relationship faces new challenges. Phoenix's transformation and Deja's unwavering love create a compelling dynamic. Blaise, torn between loyalty and love, adds complexity to the narrative. Janelle's unassuming yet seductive character brings depth, and her struggle for a fresh start amid chaos adds an emotional layer. The interplay of love, danger, and familial complexities keeps the reader engaged. The story intricately weaves several themes that enhance the overall narrative. Love and transformation are central, as Phoenix sheds his tough exterior, symbolizing personal growth through his relationship with Deja. Their love is palpable, adding emotional depth and a sense of vulnerability to the characters. Betrayal and deception play a pivotal role, as Deja's curiosity leads her into dangerous territory, introducing an element of suspense and raising questions about trust. Blaise's struggle with loyalty and love adds complexity, exploring the intricacies of relationships and the choices we make.
The theme of fresh starts and resilience is embodied by Janelle, seeking a new beginning in Crestview Waters despite familial challenges. The tornado becomes a metaphor for life's unexpected upheavals, testing characters' strength and resilience.
Family dynamics and the impact of past experiences resonate throughout, contributing to the characters' complexities. Janelle's strained relationship with her family and the struggles she faces in her new life add layers to the narrative, making the story relatable and emotionally resonant. the brothers Steele

The brothers were menaces that pulled no punches and were willing to catch bodies behind their women.
Blaise was coming for JJ and she couldn’t do nothing about it. She had some evil family members who jacked up her sense of feeling worthy of love. They were a trip, but no matter what he didn’t play about her and let them people know! She recognized that Deja loved her but that’s it. As a result she couldn’t receive the love he had to give her. Blaise had things with him too. Once Lauren crazy self dropped that bomb, his world began to crumble around him. But he had the best support system and the heart of a Steele.
Phoenix was no nonsense - cool, calm and collected. He was calculating and smart. You wouldn’t want him on to you or coming for you. His love for Deja was impenetrable. Nothing she could say or do would take his love from her. Anything she wanted or needed he would provide. She was his forever and his future. Deja was thankful for the love of him. He was her rescuer, safe place, her champion and the keeper of her heart. She knew soul deep that he was meant for her. She loved her friend Quinn and mourned her death. She knew that something just wasn’t right and the mystery and secrets behind it began to unfold revealing some despicable things about some so called upstanding people. Phoenix stood by her every step of the way.
This was an excellent read!

Wheeeww Chiiiilleee! Lol

Chile 😮‍💨 First off, Blaze is bro forsure. He aint even bae he is my brotha! Like why would he ever chase that man to his car like that? I was cracking up. He was hilarious man. I loved him and JJ real bad 🥰 Phoenix and my good girlfriend Deja were the stuff honey. The way he loved my girl and didnt fight that love after admitting to himself what it was just warmed my heart. Seeing these men go above and beyond for these women and their families was just magical. The Steeles are now one of my favorite families. I really hope we get my their sister and Zachs story and hopefully, eventually the other brothers? 😬 lol

Second off, why you got us emotional peeps crying. Idk if im the only one but I cant be. This was some heavy and beautiful stuff. A G had to get herself together several times 😆. I felt some much of this story in my soul and spirit that baeby I feel lighter my ownself after "The End" was written lol I loved this real bad 🥺 5 stars Ms. M. We know you always come through with the come through but I needed this story for some validation for myself right now. So this was nothing but Gods timing. Thank you. ❣️

What an ending…

I honestly don’t know where to begin. This one picked up right where I needed it to and I was not disappointed. Deja and Phoenix were a match made heaven. I loved how he stood twenty toes down for her. It was his love and dedication that helped her get the closure she needed about Quin. Blaise and Janelle were a lot. His naïveté regarding Lauren was a bit much for me. I couldn’t understand how he kept choosing her until Janelle put her foot down. Speaking of Janelle, she worked my nerves too. Her family was trash, yet she still made it her business to go to them after everything they’d done. Also, constantly punishing Blaise for their behavior was crazy. The revelations about the maternity and paternity of several children was crazyyyyy. Poor Levi and Mike. Those kids didn’t deserve the even they experienced, especially Mike. Shelda was a psychopath and proved it until the end.

Now what I would have liked was more on Quin and how she wound up in that situation from her point of view. I would have also liked to see more of Blaise and Levi developing a bond and see Janelle get some therapy. I’m also curious about the other siblings.

Y’all!!!!!!!! This was the perfect ending to this series. Monique wrote tf outta this series. My favorite parts ok no particular order….. Deja checking tf outta Millicent and Jali cause they had sis all the way f*cked up. TUH! Cause play with yo mammy not Deja. Blaise popping up in the Bayou. Janelle standing behind her man because they realized it was them against the world not the world against them. Also, Janelle whooping her sister ssa was epic because wtf. Best part, Blaise called everyone to his hospital room and laying down the law behind Janelle because her family had Blaise and his family f*cked up. Baby them Steeles WAS NOT THE ONE TO PLAY WITH. I can’t believe them church folk was carrying on the way they was but I’m also not surprised. Lauren finally got what I needed her to get. She was disgusting and despicable. Who does that sick mess she did. SMH! I’m happy for all the love and support that Deja and Janelle was able to receive. Y’all please go read this series cause it was TOP TIER!!!!!

Phenomenal writing!!!

I absolutely loved the finale! I enjoyed book 1 as well but wanted to read the finale before giving my final thoughts. I love how the Steele brothers were so eager to create blended families. Nauni is lucky to have Phoenix and Deja as new parents as they welcome their own baby into the picture. Deja never gave up on getting justice for Quin. She is the true definition of a best friend! Blaise and JJ really had one of the best stories I feel because JJ was constantly seeking approval. She so desperately wanted to be loved by her family and all they did was constantly prove she would never be good enough in their eyes. I love that the Steele family rallied around her and protected her and loved her for who she was. Levi coming into the fold added another layer to Blaise because he was the quintessential playboy who had to grow up and mature at a fast rate to become the Father he never knew he would be. All in all I can’t wait to read more of M.Monique’s books. Job well done ❤️

So much!

This turned out to be a really good finale! This book had so much drama and twists that it kept me glued in.

I have to start with saying Blaise…poor Blaise! This book chewed him up and spit him out and he still managed to make it out okay. My heart goes out to Quin, she was so undeserving of pain she went through getting tied up with all those snakes! OH! Sheldra and Lauren…top tier villains!😂😂 They were truly evil!

I hope there are spin offs about Amell (the way he kept hitting on Deja cracked me up!) and Amhad. And was Jaden married? Because if not he needs a story too. Let me not forget Zach and Soleil. Although Steele Waters is finished, I’m not ready to be done with Crestview woods/waters just yet. 😉

This was worth the wait

I’m just glad M.Monique ain’t have us waiting 50 years for a part two. This book had so many twist and turns…when I thought i had it figured out aht aht boy was I wrong. I love how Deja was determined to find out what happened to her friend and didn’t stop because her instinct told her that something was off. I hate Quin was innocent and got used and ended up being killed. Lauren was absolutely crazy and deranged and Blaise still represented her in court. I still don’t get her purpose for drugging Blaise but I’m glad he fought to get his son back. I’m also happy Deja & Phoenix decided to adopt Mike and Nauni.

I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS ENDING!
Yet another duet that has left me needing more! I’m going to be thinking about these characters for a lifetime the way I connect with book is insane this one hit close to home!
Black love is such a beautiful thing, and witness these men go to hell for these women hugged my heart in a way I didn’t know it needed. The banter between the couples was captivating. Idk what kind of sorcery M.Monique was doing while crafting this masterpiece of a duet but I think she needs to turn this into a trilogy I need TO KNOW!!!!!!
P.S.A We love a nigga that goes hard for a bih, and on a bih, call it multitalented 😉

Whew….. Those Steele Waters 🔥

There was sooo much to unpack in this finale. I couldn’t believe the evil that was within those women. Lauren definitely played everyone in her path to the very end smh. Sheldra just disgusted me, but honesty Margret was the worst. How could you do all those things to your own children is beyond words. I’m glad Deja and Janelle had Phoenix and Blaise at their sides, as well as them being there for their men. The Steels was nothing to okay with. I felt so bad for Miss Gloria but in glad she has the support she needed. Everything worked out how it was supposed to in the end. Now, we just need a update on the weddings and babies. Great series !!!

whew!

4.5/5 stars
Best series I have read in a very long time! I loved the mysteries and how every time I just knew something I WAS WRONG lol. The twists and turns were crazy. So much going on in that little town and Deja was just always in the wrong place at the right time. I did take off half a star because there were multiple noticeable errors that the editing team should have caught like wrong word usage, as well as a few spots that were unclear in the timeline. Overall, if you like mystery and drama, mixed with some insta love I would highly recommend.

what a finale

Now this was a whole lot. So much going on and so many people involved. But I got a full understanding as this was well written. The Steele family is the family everybody wants. They stick by each other like glue. I just loved how the patriarch and matriarch took care of their immediate family. Deja and Janell were blessed to get a Steele man. Their lives may have been turned upside down and inside out but they were well taken care if. This is a great read.

Happy Reading‼️
