[Harem forward Urban Fantasy—8/10 spice/steam—Male POV—MFF with kinks]
Fall semester has begun, bringing Dane Staley and his unconventional family back to their routines at Sablehurst University. With succubus Maeve managing the library, dryad Cassie working at the campus coffee shop, and their newest addition—otter-kin Talise Stillwater—adjusting to life in a new town, they’re navigating the delicate balance of a four-way relationship with surprising harmony. Then an unexpected summons arrives for Cassie from her mother in her childhood grove. What begins as a simple invitation to the annual Samhain festival transforms into something more urgent when Cassie’s sister arrives to escort her home—and suddenly, all communication stops. When their attempts to contact Cassie are fruitless, Dane, his lovers, and his friends must figure out what has happened. Their investigation takes them far from their home in Ashbury, where they discover distressing truths rooted in age-old politics that have nothing to do with happiness and everything to do with survival. In this fourth book Dane must navigate unfamiliar customs and challenges he never knew existed to keep his unconventional family together. Some bonds grow from love, others from strife. While some traditions deserve to wither and die.
Intentionally Defiled Dryadis the fourth spicy adventure in the Spicy Adventures of the Suddenly Supernatural Series. It features supernatural multi-partner relationships, character progression, a hidden world of magical beings, and the same level of spiciness readers have come to expect. It is for adult readers only! This is obviously pure fantasy, so expect unrealistic over-the-top steamy situations, wish fulfillment, sophomoric humor, strong language, and a heaping helping of naughty bits.
Thanks for reading and if you choose to give my book a try, I truly hope you enjoy it. - J. Scott
This is a delightful continuation of the adventures of Dane and his family and friends.
There is less battle drama than in earlier books -- basically one all-out match-up. There is a lot more relationship-building and a LOT of sex. :)
The Dryad Grove is a lovely, lovely setting and I am sure future stories will return there. The mechanics and limitations of Dan's ability to summon spirits and bind them to physical bodies is quite interesting. And, yeah, his head must be getting cluttered with the bonds.
Anyways, a great addition to the series and I am looking forward to the next chapter.
Ghosts in the graveyard, summoning of wraiths, magic in the dryad grove. Dane gets an unusual request from his friend Gretta the witch, which requires a trip to the graveyard at night to meet a ghost. Cassie visits her dryad family, but doesn't communicate with Dane or Maeve. This creates concern and the crew journeys to the Oregon - northern California state lines. Very good story. HEA. I should note I received and ARC from the author..
What's making this series an enjoyable read is the examination of the relationships between Dane and his ladies. We're viewing a family that truly loves each member, is devoted to each member and is willing to pay the ultimate measure.
There is sufficient action, suspense and spice to keep the interest level up. Mr. Miles has left some intriguing strings left untied - hopefully for future expansion.
