Moonlight Deception

Rate this book
They say true love can withstand anything... but what happens when you’re forced to destroy it yourself?

A rejection.

A betrayal.

A secret baby.

Caden and I are fated mates. The newly mated Alpha and Luna bound by a love that we think can weather any storm.

Then tragedy strikes.

Selene, Caden's sister, falls sick with an illness that no healer can cure.

With her life slipping away, desperation leads us to a forbidden path — blood magic, the darkest form of magic that demands a sacrifice in exchange. And the cost for Selene's life is our mate bond.

We cannot lose Selene, so we accept the deal. To save her, we sacrifice the bond that defines us.

But the moment we make that deal, the cracks begin to show. Lies unravel. Buried secrets claw their way to the surface. Harrowing truths wait for us in the dark, grinning like specters of what we’ve ignored.

Nothing is as we know it. Selene’s illness isn’t chance. Our desperate turn to blood magic isn’t a coincidence. I am not who I thought I was.

We’ve been played. Caught in a web of betrayal, manipulation, and a far-reaching plan that threatens not just our pack but everything we hold dear.

The enemy wears a familiar face, and their endgame is more sinister than we could have imagined.

Yet, even in the wreckage of broken trust and severed bonds, I carry a secret. A spark of hope.

Caden’s child.

But hope is fragile. I have to keep my pregnancy a secret, because if they discover the life growing within me, they’ll come for my baby. And that is a price I’m not willing to pay.

Moonlight Deception(Reluctant Mates Book 7)

Moonlight Deception(Reluctant Mates Book 7) ~~ This story explores what happens when love is tested by manipulation and impossible choices. The idea of being forced to destroy your own happiness is heartbreaking ~ and this book leans into that pain.

The emotional betrayal felt raw, especially in audio form. I found myself frustrated, sad, and hopeful all at once. Not an easy listen, but a powerful one.

I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.

This was a strange one…

This was a totally unexpected and different werewolf story. In a nutshell, we have an Alpha who’s sister becomes ill with some unknown disease. An Elder points him to a witch in the forest, who says that she can fix the sister with blood magic. But the price?

It turns out to be a huge conspiracy that includes that witch and Elder, who frankly seemed mentally unstable. There’s a HEA finally…

It was a fun little read but nothing special. I did enjoy it…

Amazing

Amazing and what a wonderful twist. What happened to the girl that helped the elder out. Will there be a second book that involves her and the Beta?

Plot is fine, but the characters are cardboard and the writing is not- might have been done by a 14 year old. DNF.
