I swore I’d never come back here. But life has a way of dragging you back to the places you’d rather forget.
And to the people you’d rather hate.
Noah Hayes was everything to me once. My first love. My first heartbreak. My first everything.
Now, he’s nothing like the boy I used to know.
This Noah is darker, colder, and cruel enough to make me regret ever coming back. He doesn’t just rule Eastern High—he owns it.
Every word is a dagger. Every look, a reminder of everything we lost. And he’s made it his mission to break me.
But I’m not the same girl he left behind. He can try to push me, break me, destroy me—but I’ve already survived worse. If Noah Hayes thinks I’m just another pawn in his twisted game, he’s about to learn the hard way: I’m not playing.
This is war. And if he wants to come for me, he’d better be ready to lose.
Cruel Intentions is a steamy high school bully romance filled with drama, heartbreak, and a bad boy you’ll hate to love. Perfect for readers who crave tension, angst, and second chances.
Noah would describe Aubrey as some strong girl, but she seemed more like a pushover. It made me roll my eyes a bunch of times. And then he would get jealous over some things and act like he didn’t sleep with most of the school. Pissed me off. I gave it a 3 b/c I liked when they actually stood up to their parents(I wish Aubrey actually said something to her father though). I think this was one of those books where the side characters were way more interesting than the mains unfortunately.
I want more JACE. He made me so sad in the trailer scene.

Wow…the reviews on this one were brutal, but I thought this was full of emotion and drama that kept me interested 🤷🏻♀️ I liked that the bully aspect didn’t take over the entire story and that you got to see more behind the scenes in the characters homes. I think the books’ weakness though (possibly because of this) was the lack of development in the characters’ friend relationships, which is a pretty big bummer especially for the male lead because he seems like he doesn’t even care for his so called friends. The relationships are super confusing and you get limited information. I thought I read that this was a standalone, but now I see that there is a second book dang it, so I will be excited to learn about more.
Where do I start? Did I enjoy the book? yes Did I get slightly bored at the end? it pains me to say yes.
The first 60% of the book I loved... but then it kinda slowed down, I expected something but the show downs between their mums were kinda flat. I loved Aub and Noah's chemistry- definitely some saucy scenes 😉. He was always there to help her regardless....
I'm intrigued about Reece and Sam aka red- a good set up leaving me wondering about their situation. There wasn't much on Jace but what we did read I wanted more......
TBH I skimmed through a lot of this book. I found it very repetitive, like I think I read the same sentence in different sections of the book about 5 different times. They are supposed to be “enemies” (it’s lovers to enemies to lovers), but instead of showing us it more so told us. One of my favorite parts about reading a book is the chemistry between two people and this just didn’t have that there was a lot of potential here. It just fell flat for me.
High School Seniors. Traumatic Pasts. Second Chance.
The high school side of this let it down for me. The mean girl aspect was a bit much.
But the rest of Aubrey and Noah's story was good. They've both been through a lot with some shtty parenting. And they've been there for each other since they were kids. Noah has abandonment issues since his mum left. And Aubrey has an abusive alcoholic father and a mother who only cares about herself.
Not a bad second chance love story with a lot of bullying. There were moments where this book got me hella angry because I don’t know if I could be as strong as the FMC. Like that chick is made out of armpit or something. She takes it all and I personally would have broken and I don’t know if any of it would be forgivable and that’s just me. Not a bad story it kept me interested for sure!! Maybe check it out.
The book delves into the hurt festering between each other and their families it digs deep into their insecurities and how they handle those but the book ending leaves much to be desired. Feels incomplete. It feels as if the supporting characters will have a book based on the storyline but it leaves you hanging was a disappointing read. Good angst and plot just lackluster ending
While there was nothing wrong with this book, there was nothing exceptional about it either. It was long, the romance/sex was just there, I didn't feel the chemistry. It also should have just ended with one book.. what more is there? I'm guessing there's going to be books about Jace and Reece who seem to have made sex their personality.. pass.
I loved the story n there was enough background story to make sure u feel all the emotions with this book. There was times I wanted to hit Noah but could also tell he was hurting. I can’t wait to see who second book is about would love to read about all the side characters too❤️❤️❤️
This book was amazing and I thought it would’ve been one of those wattpad ahh fanfics that they always say they are. I mean to an extent everything felt very wattpad and cringe, but I loved a huge percentage of it. Plus the last one even if it wasn’t a cliffhanger, it was still like tension. I loved it, I need more rn Eve
The book was basically her going over her feelings over and over but with different words each time. It was so boring because the characters rarely did anything in the physical world. They only really talked about their feelings, the whole time, but not to each other only in their heads so we don’t even get to see any communication.
Cruel intentions was a bully romance. Both of these characters had to overcome emotional life’s. I felt for both of these main chapters. I felt their pain and the joy they had. Great story that reminded me do not judge the book by its cover meaning you never know what s going on with someone. I was hoping that the book would not end.
I enjoyed this book. FMC Aubrey has her fair share of crap that is thrown at her and she seems to rise above it and is determined to make a better life for herself. Noah- typically guy next door but when these two get together 🔥 I liked that it was a standalone and I don’t have to follow thru on the next one.
Loved it. Love all of Eve's books. Noah and Aubrey, great chemistry and I wanted them so much to get their act together and tell each other how they felt. Loved it all. Will be reading all of Eve's books from now on.
I found the beginning several chapters very repetitive, I almost DNF’d. But i don’t regret sticking it out. I’m glad they were able to eventually able to feed iff their history, and be each others crutch. Although I did find myself skimming through the last few chapters, I still give it 4 stars.
First book to be read by the author Eve Campbell. Omg!!! I absolutely loved reading this book! The title drew me, but when I read the synopsis I downloaded this book and started reading immediately! Only book one, but I definitely plan to read the series and buy it as well.
The cover is gorgeous but I’m pretty sure this is AI? There is no cover designer listed or any cover model and the hair and face are suspiciously blurred…
This book was really good the writing was flawless and gave all the feels. The characters were relatable and their story was heartfelt. I would definitely read this author again.
I found this book an easy read the characters aren’t super rich and the H isn’t the quarterback like 80% of books I seem to read. They are normal characters with problems
