Dave Gahan. Depeche Mode e oltre...

Rate this book

A good read, and one that does reveal a few new pieces of info, even to the most hard-core DM fan. It's a fast, good read. It's not a horribly smacked together book consisting of strung together past magazine articles like the Dave Thompson book released many years ago. If you want something super packed with fine detail, get the DM Jonathan Miller book, but that one goes into such detail, some found it tedious. Anyways, I do recommend this book, even if it does only address surface details of David's life. It is the first book to focus mainly on David afterall.

I liked it.
I didn't know much about the band, I only listened to their music so far. Now I understand them more. I really love how we get to see what were they feeling / thinking while recording each album.
And even few songs that I didn't really like, I started to love them because I know more about their history.

Loving this book so far. It's great to read how Depeche Mode got together even if I've heard it all before. I'm picking up new things through this book and singing all the songs in my head as the book goes through the singles and the albums...

Biography

Loved reading about my favorite lead singer. Would’ve loved if he had been a contributor but I get that it’s a biography, not an autobiography. Maybe someday.

Dave Gahan

Fascinating read, a testament to mind over matter. Dave Gahan is a true warrior, they are all true warriors. Then again, I’m biased.
